I really love using Simple Practice. I've tried several other scheduling softwares and this is by far the best. It's easy to use and clients seem to find the online portal easy to use as well. I do feel like it's geared more toward adult clients than child clients, and there's no way to integrate multiple clinicians in the same practice, but other than that I love it.

Hi Kristi! We're glad to have you on board. We actually released SimplePractice for groups last week! You can add multiple clinicians now! Check it out by heading to your settings and viewing your Team Members page. Just make sure you're on the Monthly Professional Plan and you'll be good to go!

The name truly fits. This is the best EMR software I have used - once I acclimated to the system, I felt so organized and now have peace of mind.

I honestly cannot think of anything I do not like about this software thus far.

Pros

I love all the built in features for writing notes and billing is a breeze. I also appreciate how easy it is to watch a video or read an article to answer questions as they come up.

Cons

I wish there was a fee option for budding practicitioners. I know that this tool will be increasingly useful as my practice grows, but it's quite a bit of money to spend when you only have a few clients, and I've considered cancelling my subscription simply for that reason. Also, it seems most useful for folks who take insurance.

I was doing my own client reminder calls and it quickly felt like I was spending too much time just calling/emailing clients. Finally, I asked my therapist what he uses and he recommended . This product is so easy to use! The one (very small) complaint I have about reminder calls is the inability to schedule them myself (I would prefer they go out 24 hours prior or, in the case of my monthly clients, maybe twice before the appointment. I haven't had a chance to use the billing to its full power but it seems intuitive and has been useful for keeping track of my private pay clients. Thanks for an excellent product at an affordable price!

Running a private practice can have many moving parts, especially when you are working with children and families. With simple practice I am able to upload documents and allow parents access to a client portal to update ever changing demographic information. My only set back thus far is becoming savvy with billing and invoices, (a very new feature). I would like to see a more efficient way to modify billing amounts for missed sessions, remote consults and such. Good start to a practice management program with lots of potential. Have used it for two months. Most impressive rate of development keeps the program fresh and offering new features each month. Was impressed when Howard, the CEO and lead person of , contacted me during my trial month and talked with me about what I was looking for in practice software and let me know of pending development milestones they had targeted. Having used other practice management software, SimplePractice is not 100% polished, but it's well on its way to becoming my daily practice resource. I highly recommend giving it a trial run. Don't think you'll regret it.

This program has saved my life! Saves me time, energy, and money! I love that I can input and read progress notes from anywhere, track client payments, easily create bills and statements, and not have to worry about where my client information is, should I need it. I love that I can create a mental status exam and treatment plan in such a short amount of time! But, honestly I think the best thing about is that the creators actually WANT and appreciate customer feedback!! AND they actually implement the suggestions and tailor their product to our needs, and quick turnaround. The customer service has been phenomenal. I seriously love it all.

I feel like a therapist when I use Simple Practice rather than a bureaucrat like I do with other electronic records. It is so intuitive and pleasing to the eye yet with so many powerful features and more on the way. The schedule ties so well with notes. I absolutely love that new clients can fill out online my customized intake and I can read it before I meet with them, leaving more time to actually listen to their story. Scrolling down to see all past progress notes makes it convenient to refresh my memory. I'm hoping they develop a better way to organize therapy group clients but really I've found so few weaknesses so far. Haven't tried billing yet.

I love that I can send all practice forms to my clients via email, and they can return them completed to the system without having to print a single page!

Pros

The software seems pretty user friendly, once you know where to go to find what you are looking for.

Cons

I am not a fan of the way scheduling availability is set up. I want to see my open slots at the same time as my booked appointments. I haven't found a way to do that yet.

I like some aspects of this program but I found many parts cumbersome and hard to navigate. It seems like a decent software but was not for me

Pros

What I liked about this software was that it had most aspect I was looking for. I could create charts, set up appointments and plans. Like that some templates were customizable.

Cons

Difficult to navigate and I found myself sometimes going in circles. Not very user friendly and lacked flow.

I like the customized templates that is offered in plan 2 and 3. The creator of the system truly understands the tasks of a psychotherapist. The operating system allow the convenience of scheduling, cancelling, sending intake forms, communicating with your clients, billing and keep up with your therapeutic and business reports. The only two things I would like to see added in the system is the ability to keep one household together (spouses and children), and also the ability to create forms where the client can fill in, like the form to keep their credit card on file. Other than those two minor details, I like everything about the system.

Once I spoke with a customer service person, she showed me everything I need to know and it is excellent software

Pros

It makes sending intake documents a breeze! I love that I can keep all of my client files in a HIPAA secure platform. It also sends automatic reminders to my clients! And I was able to sync my calendar with my google calendar so I see all my appointments on my phone—plus, it uses my clients’ initials to keep them safe.

Cons

It seems a little complicated at first, but after a tour was simple to use

So far I have been happy with the product. I can do everything I need for client care in one place.

Pros

The client portal makes it easy for clients to do everything they need on one secure place. No more having to coordinate sending documents, doing billing through the mail, or manually sending appointment links. The portal does it all.

Cons

Navigating the site to get to what you need is not intuitive. With practice it becomes a lot easier but it could be organized a little more effectively.

From the get-go, I was impressed how clean and inviting the home page was. It inspired a confidence that I could figure this out and it wouldn't take all my time. I've used a competitors software and it was cumbersomeasy amongst other things but Simple Practice was easy to set up, had videos when needed and also included features like text and email reminders. I'm excited the one thing about managing my practice has just gotten exponentially easier and even fun!

I have just started using Simple Practice, but already it's proving to be a great investment. It's really helpful to be able to keep all my paperwork organized online. I'm looking forward to additional features being added, like the ability to create custom intakes and the ability to send the client portal email to more than one person (if working with a couple, for example). But overall it's definitely making my life a lot easier so far!

Pros: I signed up for a month-long free trial with , seeking an affordable, effective and no-fuss software tool for my small private practice. Less than half of the way through the month, the value was clear and I signed up for an ongoing plan. I look forward to the ongoing benefits SimplePractice will bring to my practice as well as to the additional features SimplePractice will be rolling out in the near future. Cons: Some functions and features do not operate as intuitively as they could and there are limitations to the ability to customize certain essential features. I expect that over time, these kinks will be worked out.
