There is no other electronic bidding software on the market that I would recommend. Pros I love this product. I have worked with this company since 2009 when we first introduced the concept of electronic bidding. I work with various organizations as a volunteer and I it is the most user friendly software on the market. The reports that are produced give us the ability to get the information in a very quick manner. The team of people that help facilitate the ease of use of this product are the best in the industry. Cons The only con I have is that they upgrade the system so frequently to facilitate the needs of the customer is that I have to be sure to not miss any of the updates. Review Source FJ Frank J. " July 13, 2018 3.0 Pros The convenience that comes with having payment options for donors to quickly process gifts on sight is the best. We can also pre-register our attendees to expedite the gift giving process. Cons The wifi connectivity issue that comes along with this convenient software is a bit of a pain. " August 12, 2019 5.0 Pros I was hesitant to incur additional overhead costs since we were using this program for a fundraising auction. It more than paid for itself and I am thrilled that I was encouraged by my organization to give it a try! Cons There are some things that I would like to be able to customize beyond what the software is capable of. And the customer service is top notch! They even went above and beyond this summer with a webinar series that helped us share best practices across the country. Pros It is very easy to use, both on the admin side and for the users. It was very easy to customize on the back-end. Cons There are some glitches in entering donation items and I had some photos disappear after loading them, but they were minimal. From set-up to closing the event, you have a lot of great features and tools to promote the event and get guests excited about giving. Cons When you need to send a donation letter to a donor, you can't customize the letter to fit your organization's needs. The reporting function is great, although I would like to have more capability to produce custom reports. GiveSmart does a good job of onboarding and is very timely in answering questions. We've rarely had a negative experience. In addition, we typically get to work with the same people each event which makes us feel well taken care of. Cons Because there are so many features to this software, the learning process is a little daunting. However, once you get through it you'll have all you need to make sure that each campaign is successful. Pros GiveSmart helped streamline our ticketing, check-in, bidding and payments. For the most part, our guests raved about the ease of use for bidding and payments. Using GiveSmart definitely increased our online participation. Cons The software glitched or froze on several volunteers and myself during our event, which caused some headaches and time delays. Post event reports are not as easy to find as hoped for. We are hoping to use GiveSmart for more events; however, after using for our initial event, I'm not sure it will be as great for our others as hoped for when we went through the product demo. Couple that with awesome, supportive customer service, and this software is a winner. Everything from purchase to closing the event was easy because of the knowledge and professionalism of the GiveSmart staff. The reports are user friendly, the export and import functions are helpful and easy to use. I am grateful we have this software as we transition to virtual events. Our organization and auction team was very small, so the fact that we ended up having a very successful auction is partly a testament to the GiveSmart team, who were very helpful and knowledgeable throughout. Pros Appearance of auction site, customer service. Cons Some functions aren't very intuitive and necessitated a good bit of interaction with customer service. October 31, 2017 5.0 Breakout of where sales came form/who won what/I could call the winners easily. Pros Ease of use and Dashboard-as well as as detail when I needed to review it. The "live" feature si amazing as well as ability to adjust prices, text messages,etc to gain funds. Cons That I didn't invent it. Seriously, we had user issues when we logged in as we had three administrators. Hence, when each wanted to bid, they forgot to switch to donor- an easy fix- but we missed that in training. November 29, 2017 5.0 Pros From a guest perspective, it's easy to use, the onsite staff is helpful and it makes bidding quick and fun. From an adminstrator perspective, entering items is user-friendly, the software takes much of the manual work outu of your auction and the Gesture team makes sure you're supported throughout the whole process.
