Pros iDeals truly developed this platform comprehensively - from set up, reports, ease of use, support, billing. Staff are always open to recommendations and available to assist. Cons We were offered special pricing to extend our contract term. Our project ran over by 5 months, unexpectedly. It would have been nice to be able go back and have the special pricing honored. I had no difficulties with the interface or other features. The thing I had to struggle with was reports section. The statistical reports were of little use as there were mostly numbers without any graphic images. So, I had a hard time tracking who was most interested in buying the company and had to export the main report to analyze it in excel. Cons If not for the reports I would give it a 5, but for now, the whole section needs to be revisited as I had to spend more time on it. Review Source Marco P. Generally very easy to manage access as needed and to upload and manage documents, which are the two most important applications we used the product for. Pros Quick and easy to set up, and to provide and manage access. Cons Some features could be easier or are organized in a slightly clunky way (eg, readout of who is looking at which files). Pros More than everything I was surprised from the user experience - very intuitive and user friendly. Working with competitors in the past, this is not something to take for granted. Due to many users and security layers, complexity is almost unavoidable but somehow iDeals were able to simplify it so it takes you no more than few min' to completely understand show the platform works. Very simple to navigate, use and customize. Moving, copying and managing access is very striaghtforward. Reports, Q&A and audit trail are great. Definitely the best VDR system I have used to date. Cons How the report feature works could be improved (ie if you click on a folder to see user activity, it won't show anything unless you click on the individual file). Very easy to use and a smart software for every user. Pros I really like how the software can be deployed and accessed from anywhere in the world, especially with our team members based in various countries of the SEA. The manual handbook is easy to catch up and available anytime the user encounters trouble with manipulation. VDR has some automatic functions such as indexing of newly uploading files in order so that I do not bother with it or rearranging the files in order. It also allows many types of viewing the files. Cons Sometimes, the processing of viewing the files ran very slowly which made us wait for quite a long time. Pros Software is quite easy to set up and configure. Very streamlined user interface and the ability to set up multiple layers of security by user, by user group. Reporting capability is simple to use and provides pertinent information. Ability to do bulk export. Activating/deactivating and changing permissions is easy to administer. I liked the pricing model and renewal terms. Customer support (via email) was lightening fast. Cons There has been very little concern with iDeals VDR. In addition to our internal usage, our bankers, lawyers, due-diligence consultants and sales partners are all regular users - and we have not had a single issue or hiccup with the platform. Cons Our file names require a large amount of characters so when our file names are too large, iDeals does not read them. Cons I wish the preview of files was an accurate representation of what the file looks like rather than a stripped down preview. It causes some confusion, especially for new users. Cons When producing an index of items in the data room, the bin of deleted items was automatically included. We have done two seed financing rounds with potential investors from all around the country. We used iDeals for both rounds and the VDR allowed us to upload and share key docs with all interested parties as well as manage access, track usage, etc. Both rounds closed successfully. Pros The data room was very easy for us to set up and for our investors to access. Cons A bit expensive for a start-up but the functionality was worth it.
