" March 24, 2020 5.0 With iDeals, my client is able to share highly sensitive information with potential investors in a safe manner. Pros I chose the iDeals VDR because it is so customizable. You can choose the level of sharing for each item you upload and for each user you invite. Setting it up was very intuitive and easy. Uploads are lightening fast. I have never once been frustrated with this software. It is really easy and powerful and thoughtfully designed. Cons It is somewhat expensive, but my client did not mind. He isn't a computer person but didn't have to be as iDeals rooms are super easy to use. It took some time to understand and tweak the Q&A settings, but once that was taken care of we didn't have much work to do. Pros Positive: Very user-friendly and straightforward. I didn't need to teach my colleagues how to use it or answer any questions from my users as to how this or that is done. Cons I was under the impression that the data room would close automatically upon the end of the primary term, so my accounting team got a few extra invoices before we finally closed the project (can be done in the VDR itself, but we were not aware). It did everything that we needed to get our financing transaction done. My intern was able to access and start uploading documents immediately with no training. Pros I have previously used intralinks, but their pricing is another level. I was really impressed with the quality and ease of use for the site. Our banker commented that it was the best and most professiona data room that they had been invited to use. Cons The pricing is a little complex like a chinese menu. The cellphone App is a great gadget to follow all the material on the drive, notifications are important and keep the whole team up-to-date on every(or not) simgle update. Flexibility is something to mention about the Data Room, you can control permissions, notifications, access and so on. A 100% recommended. Pros Simple to use and upload files, through web or even using the windows software. Synchronization is another great feature of the VDR, works very well. Cons App could include upload files instead of only view options. They're contract flexibility has allowed us to suspend VDRs when not in use, but we'll continue using them indefinitely. Pros The setup of a VDR is extremely simple. Setting different permission levels for user groups, document restrictions and sign up requirements (e.g. eNDA) is frictionless. I've used a few different VDR providers and iDeals is the best. Cons Not much wrong with it. The report function is perhaps the least user friendly feature, but not a major detractor. Our investors were able to access the data in a timely and discreet manner. Pros As a first time user of this type of product I was unsure how to use it. Ideals was very easy to understand and set-up. Any technical concerns I had were ably answered by the online support. I particularly liked the permissions that limit the access to certain documents by the users. I also find the drag and drop option as well as the automatic numbering very convenient. Pros The interface is not cluttered, easy to navigate, and I really like the option for upload where I can grab a folder or bunch of filed from my windows explorer and just drag and drop into the file selection box and it's done. I also find the upload speed to be very satisfactory - I'm uploading very large files (sometimes 20-30 files with size between 20-60 MB) and they just go really fast! Cons I have not really had any unpleasant experience with iDeal - all has been smooth for me.
