Paralegal Law Practice Used the software for: 2+ years ### "It was good while it lasted" November 20, 2025 2.0 We were pleased with the platform until they did an "upgrade" which subsequently increased the price. The items they included in the upgrade were not items we would be utilizing but would have to ultimately pay for. Pros The organization of documents, rooms and permissions for due diligence processes made it easy for even those who aren't quite tech savvy. Our contact was helpful when/if we reached out. Cons When downloading files the downloaded file included the location number in the beginning of the document title, this was burdensome when needing to duplicate a room. I would have to download the entire room, rename each document and then go through the process of creating a whole new data room. It would have been much easier to be able to simply copy a data room as it was set. Some of the documents had too long file paths when downloading which would create 0MB files, not helpful. Overall solid platform that handled the core requirements well. File management and security features worked as expected. The upload experience and keyboard shortcuts were genuinely helpful for daily work. Customer support was a bright spot - always responsive when we needed help. However, the inability to click through from logs to files was a consistent frustration when tracking due diligence activity. The pricing structure also felt inflated, particularly for smaller deployments. Good product, but the value proposition could be stronger. Pros File upload performance was excellent, even with large document sets. Keyboard shortcuts made navigation efficient once you learned them. Cons Would always like to see more data limit capacity at better pricing as storage costs continue to fall. They are always improving their product according to what their users really want. Pros iDeals is very secure and allows us to manage users and specialize each data room well. They've added a dash board that helps us view the status of the data room very quickly, which is important for what we do since we host a large volume of data rooms at once. Cons I would like a template folder structure to be a bit more easy to upload. I also would like iDeals to save my users emails so that I don't have to copy paste emails every time I use it. I also would love some sort of status capability. If I am the admin and I tell iDeals what documents I want uploaded in a particular structure, I want it to tell me % completion or what is still needed. The customer service has always been helpful with questions and also data import. Pros The user-friendly features and the easy navigation of the data rooms are what I like best about iDeals. I love how customizable the permissions are and how the rooms are organized. This has made our transactions run a lot smoother. Cons There isn't a lot that I don't like about iDeals! I haven't run into any major issues and I think the pricing is fair for the great quality you receive. Reason for choosing Ideals Virtual Data Room iDeals is user-friendly, and extremely customizable with the permissions.
