Pros

Best software on the market, mostly very user friendly. Good winery software that does the job. Recommended.

Cons

They are less likely to fix bugs reported to them, and not as responsive as they used to be. It would be great if they were more open to feedback.

I have mixed emotions about this software. The support used to be really good with walking you through issues, now it seems like a get AI more than people. The features it includes are great if you can manage to use them correctly and know what you're doing, but overall, there are better softwares out on the market that are easy to pick up without a lot of instruction. Unfortunately, Vintrace is not that software for me and my team.

Pros

Initially, the user interface was what attracted us to the software. It looked intuitive and easy to use. There are plenty of features that if utilized correctly, are a great benefit to the production of the company.

Cons

The UI was more clunky that it seems. If a mistake is made, it can be difficult to amend something that should be easy enough to just fix. There are other production softwares that simply do a better job with ease of use and onboarding a team.

Overall, Vintrace is a fantastic addition to our business and I continue to learn more. I have had great success with the HELP desk and they are always able to assist in a timely manner.

Pros

Mostly we enjoy using the software for tracking our inventory internal and external, performing sales orders and purchase orders, as well as tracking every stage of our product which gives us a great break down of our COGS.

Cons

It can be a little fiddly and difficult to understand and set up. But this is only because the software is so large and covers so many aspects that it means there is a lot to learn. Once the initial set up is in place it functions very well.

Great software. Makes the admin easy so you can focus on making wine!

Pros

The ability to quickly view a wine batch or tank with its current status & analysis Clear production history, great for Audits Generating Work Orders is easy with templates and standard notes. Great system for managing dry goods / additives.

Cons

At times being cloud based it can take a while to load. With the new portal some of the reporting functions is harder to get to.

Pros

It is very easy to use. There are a lot of features that make Vintrace very powerful and you can get a lot out of it.

Cons

Topping barrels can be a little annoying with having to break a barrel group to then top them if you are using different wines to top with or get an accurate amount into specific barrels

Overall, it is very user-friendly.

Pros

Very easy to learn to use, and to set up to suit our needs. During vintage, we can use a CSV file to upload multiple data from the density meter in one go - a great time-saver.

Cons

Analysis work orders with multiple metrics do not allow analysis to be individually dated, it's all attributed to one day regardless of when the analysis is done. This can cause some issues.

Pros

Such a good way to keep on top of all of my wine records, and so easy to look back on the history of a wine. Great for both own records and to satisfy legislative requirements

Cons

I’m not sure the new user inter Is better than the old classic interface, though the underlying functionality is. Fortunately I can still switch to the old interface.

Our inventory (bottling dry goods and consumables), lot tracking is changing and therefore costing is making our business smarter and less reactive and more proactive

Pros

It is very intuitive to use and has a lot of depth, the phone app is great also.

Cons

The sparkling side of Vintrace is less than developed

Overall, I like using Vintrace and it does help the organisation of my work on a daily basis. I probably only use a small percentage of it at the moment and would like to know all the possibilities I have available.

Pros

I've only started using it less than a year ago. It wasn't necessarily easy to get used to it, but once you start using it on a daily basis, it becomes a real tool and helps you keep track of your wines and jobs.

Cons

The helpdesk could be more interactive. I struggled learning how to use it and the assistance hasn't been great. I would have liked a bit more guidance from a Vintrace staff to help me get my head around it and gain some speed.

Vintrace has given us a good platform for Cellar management and it is functional for packaged goods inventory.

Pros

This platform is heavily skewed to Cellar Management and our Winemaking team are pretty happy with how they can produce Work Programs and manage fruit intake, cellar operations and the wines generally. From the bottled goods end, it works well for packaged inventory management and dispatch

Cons

COGS are tricky to get super accurate. We can't customise invoicing or the Dashboard, which has been designed purely with Cellar management in mind. Being based in Australia, the invoicing simply cannot handle the WET tax calculations so we are having to do these manually to ensure we are compliant with ATO requiremnts.
