It's a massive upgrade on Ezywine. Pros Easy to navigate, mostly logical menu titles, key information is easily found. Cons It takes time to get used to the little icons. You don't know what the options there are. Some ad hoc tasks and information can take time to find. There are a lot of features that make Vintrace very powerful and you can get a lot out of it. Vintrace developer team is quite user friendly. Also, Vintrace support team does always good/ quick response. Pros Vintrace has a good traceability of the fruits/wine and addition products. Also, good import/export system between the other software or between the other wineries. Cons It is difficult to handle a barrel, control/track a single barrel, or join a barrel to the barrel group. I probably only use a small percentage of it at the moment and would like to know all the possibilities I have available. Pros I've only started using it less than a year ago. It wasn't necessarily easy to get used to it, but once you start using it on a daily basis, it becomes a real tool and helps you keep track of your wines and jobs. Cons The helpdesk could be more interactive. I struggled learning how to use it and the assistance hasn't been great. I would have liked a bit more guidance from a Vintrace staff to help me get my head around it and gain some speed. Pros I believe Vintrace should be integrated with other viticulture software's. Integration is the key for the future. Cons I believe integration is the higher rock block in Winemaking industry - companies should talk to each other. August 23, 2022 4.0 Overall once I learnt how to use Vintrace more proficiently I have come to like it more and more. There's still a lot I need to learn. Pros Once I understood Vintrace we started to get along well. Cons I would REALLY like the ability to search for a Lot Number via the "Search Bar". It would be impossible for the winery to operate on a days to day basis without it. Possibly other software could also do the job but it makes a difference to work with a software that is simple and eye pleasant to work with and Vintrace is certainly such a software. Pros It is one of the easiest to use software in the industry. The platform has a modern design and is very pleasant to work with. The app is great too, to get info while out in the cellar. We have a barrel scanner too, which saves a lot of time from filling barrels through to having the stickers on the barrels. Cons I would like to have more visibility of small additives. Also while the app is great, we don't need to ever change the varitey of a wine, but we do need to change the locations, which we can not at the moment. We manage all compliance with minimal effort and receive a higher degree of precision and reporting capacity in return. The system provides an incredible amount of data to ourselves and clients with the click of a mouse. I honestly love it. Pros Intuitive Easy to use Flexible Real time Computer or app based Amazing customer support Integrated billing is key to our business Cons I’d like to see more client access. Pros The ease, simple, streamlined and of use of this program Cons The vintage side can be improved, mostly the sample sets are convoluted and harder to use. If they were treated more like the wine sampling option, it would be mush easier. Vintrace tech support being one of the best aspects when having problems. Pros The ease of use and navigation through the software. Cons The costing aspect doesn't have a simple way to edit. It would also be good to be able to be able to tally the total cost of a product and split it across all wine to display as a per liter. For example vintage fruit transport isnt invoiced until later so the cost cant be entered when fruit is being received. Pros It's easy to use and cloud based, and the app makes it convenient to update on the go. Cons The boutique suite is lacking some key features such as backdating that make it somewhat unuseable during busy periods. That feature is slated to be added in the next update, so I'm hopeful that it will be significantly better soon. Reason for choosing vintrace I have been using Vintrace as part of another winery for the last few years and the full featured product is the best winery software I've found. Pros Very easy to learn to use, and to set up to suit our needs. During vintage, we can use a CSV file to upload multiple data from the density meter in one go - a great time-saver. Cons Analysis work orders with multiple metrics do not allow analysis to be individually dated, it's all attributed to one day regardless of when the analysis is done. This can cause some issues.
