Pros

One of the best technology investments we've made at LUMA Residential has been our partnership with Paycom. Over the past several years, we've continued to evolve the way we use the platform, and it has become much more than just an HRIS. Customer service for me has been great when assisting us in implementing different modules that they offer such as applicant tracking and benefit administration. I have used other payroll companies and they do not offer the same support. To have a dedicated specialist is very important to me and my team.

Pros

I like the ease of the HR and payroll functions along with the reporting. I do not have to spend a lot of time teaching managers how to manage their payroll. We have implemented a few other modules in the past years and they have provided full support.

Cons

My company is based out of CA and there are some complex payroll rules that we have to spend a lot of time ensuring they are correct.

With my previous employer, I was the person setup the system from the beginning and know the system well. In my career, I have worked with multiple system and found Paycom is the BEST system.

Pros

Employees driven software. All in one system, easy to use, everything is in one system, from onboarding to discipline.

Cons

Not every system is perfect out there. As far as Paycom goes, it's the system that I would recommend to any employer.

Overall, it has been great to work with. I've used ADP and a small local company, and this one has been the best to use.

Pros

The platform is extremely easy to use, and the reporting module is extremely robust. It has made our payroll and HR management a breeze.

Cons

My only real complaint is that employee profiles are saved under a tab called "Make Employee Changes". That just doesn't make sense to me.

Since I have been with Paycom for approximately 1.5 years. Our company has become more compliant, and Paycom has allowed us to continue to keep up with our growth.

Pros

Paycom, customer support is unmatched. The communication and support from all department is outstanding. Bugs and issues are fixed within hours.Huge shoutout to \[sensitive content hidden\] for the endless support and round the clock availability!

Cons

I wish packages were more inclusive of different sub areas, but Paycom is very flexible and willing to work with you in terms of price

Good, lacking in salary schedule pay history. California now requires pay scales and this would be a great added feature. We have to pay for Helios to track this as well as for TB notifications and credential renew date notifications.

Pros

Electronic timesheets and leave reporting. Our back office company CSMC is our point of contact over Paycom support.

Cons

It doesn't have a salary history screen with step and/or columns for education union salary schedules. A necessity that we have to use Helios for. :( TB notifications and credential renew date notifications would be great to add as well.

Paycom has a lot of great features. The compatibility with file feeds for most vendors is very helpful, and I do not have to worry about election information being sent to providers. The implementation was a bit of a wash, as I suspect we were assigned to junior implementation specialists who were not experienced with law firms.

Pros

The ability to do everything in the app that can be done on a browser, on the employee and the manager or client end. It is especially important for deadlines and having answers while not in front of a computer. Also, the iWant feature has been updated and is pretty useful and consistent.

Cons

The implementation we experienced was difficult and not successful. We had to retain external consultants to fix the magnitude of set-up issues. The client support during implementation and thereafter was very lackluster, but Paycom has since assigned us to a more senior person who is very helpful.

We will never switch providers again!!! Our Client Relations Representative is also the best--she has been so patient with us learning and teaching us the best methods of using the software! \[sensitive content hidden\] has also been fantastic to work with.

Pros

It is all in one solution; we no longer need to track via spreadsheets trainings, dates, licensure, etc.; the BETI is exceptional--I would have sworn it would not work for our agency but it is fantastic in coaching the employee to review their timecard and paycheck before it is issued! The Ask Here feature is also fantastic! The team structure works well-there is always a person who can answer our questions.

Cons

Some items that we consider "payroll" are in HR; such as Ask Here-could there be a way to have it in payroll? Same with garnishments?

Overall, working with Paycom has been positive. I credit most of that to our implementation with \[sensitive content hidden\] and our service rep,\[sensitive content hidden\]. \[sensitive content hidden\] is always quick to answer any questions and communicate back with us if he doesn't know the answer. Although, it's not often that he doesn't know the answer right away.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] is an amazing service rep. He is very knowledgeable and responsive. Most of the site is user friendly and easy to navigate.

Cons

The talent and position management parts i think are the ones that need to be updated most. They are a little clunky to use. Mainly the position management part can be frustrating since it doesn't seem to pass information through it. Such as if a director or manager leaves having to reassign all of their employees to report to someone else. \*Also need more Paycom swag and merch.

Pros

I enjoy the ease of access and security measures in place. I'm able to view detailed reports and pull necessary information fairly easily.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve with all of the different features and sometimes this can be a bit difficult when trying to add permission setting for certain employees or trying to enable certain push reports.
