Comments: I have used Paycom in three different companies (replaced ADP with Paycom) and it was like night and day! The Sales team is fantastic and the Implementation team second to none!

Pros: The functionality, how user-friendly it is and the fact that it is cloud based. Their Customer Service is the best! One of the customer rep. was amazing during implementation!! She was available 24/7!

Cons: They only CON I see is perhaps they Need to work a bit on the Performance management system. Other than that, I don't see any cons.

Pros: The paycom software has many features and functions that allow you to move thru the system and search past pay stubs, benefits, medical/dental information.

Cons: Viewing time requests off either for vacation, sick, general holiday etc.. in paycom is not easy to read.

Comments: Very happy to strongly recommend Paycom. They have a great product, great customer care and at a very good value. We evaluated 10 other HRIS systems with Payroll and are glad we chose the right company.

Pros: Complete solution for growing companies with huge functionalities and a system to keep you out of trouble with all the HR and DOL rules etc. Superior customer support. We have been very happy with the very high level of customer support, training and systems work. I have not worked with a vendor before that had this high level of support. They really care and make sure you understand the product well and how to maximize the benefits. Other software vendors we've used for HR as well as other products had nowhere near this level of support.

Cons: Its a very good product. I just want the company to continue to prioritize upgrades based on customer feedback.

Pros: I've used Paycom for several years, both for self-service and management purposes. The system is easy to navigate and allows the user to easily access a lot of different types of information from anywhere internet access is available.

Cons: The current process of sending an employee performance evaluation back and forth between members of management to make and address comments during the review process is time consuming and inefficient.

Pros: Paycom software is user friendly and easy to navigate. With the smart logic built in it is hard to do the wrong thing.

Cons: Some of the recent updates were a little off putting. The additional steps to add employees were rather unexpected.

Pros: It seems fairly robust compared to our previous HR and Payroll software (but I'm not in HR so they might have more insight than I do). It's pretty easy to navigate. It puts a lot of information in the enduser's hands so they don't have to bug HR for all the info constantly.

Cons: I've used as both an enduser (for just my own info) and as a lead where I had people that reported to me. As a lead, it's annoying to navigate from one person to the next on my team if they fell under different pay brackets. It felt like a lot of jumping back and forth instead of smooth transitions.

Overall: A lot of information is readily available for the users. Most HR questions that we would ask are easy to find. Also, they provide training videos to help you learn how to navigate and you can watch at your own convenience. You can also review them at any time, which is nice.

Comments: Overall, I would never recommend this service to anyone. I have been actively campaigning our company to leave and go to another company that offers better service.

Pros: they give you a unique payroll specialist - see con Their software looks easy - see con You can have separate departments for each employee - see con They offer reports - see con

Cons: the specialist does nothing for you beyond reminding you to do it all their software is not user-friendly, some items require multiple screens to set up like garnishee. Don't ask the specialist to help. You can't set up your own departments and must submit it to be done. You can't have multiple properties and just a single department per employee their reporting system is not intuitive AND some reports are only available for a limited time, no history even

Pros: Paycom is much easier to use than other HR software I have used and the Paycom team always keeps our HR/Payroll department in the know on important changes and enhancements. They send out monthly product updates that truly do make life easier! They don't leave you wondering what happened, they are great with communicating when something will change. They always take into consideration when clients recommend system enhancements. Paycom is ever evolving for the better!

Cons: The only thing I would like to see changed about the Paycom system, is an easier way to track employee changes by a specific time period. A previous HR software I used created different "versions" of an employees profile based on when their employee status, job title, pay rate, or other major changed occurred rather than feeling like you are "overwriting" history (even though you can pull an audit report, I just wish there was a more convenient way to view the changes).

Pros: The software is very functional and easy to understand. It seamlessly goes from function to function and is great for internal records and bookkeeping

Cons: The software does a lot of things we don't need but understandably many businesses do. For us it is easy to navigate but as the functionality grows we may need to get more equipped with its features and use. The Con is more of us problem and not Paycom.

Overall: record keeping and tax preparation, and the garnishment system is great as well

Pros: I like the simplicity and ability to customize a lot of the fields. I like that Paycom does monthly enhancements to keep things evolving as needs change and changes are recommended by companies that use their product.

Cons: It's almost too simple. It's a pro and a con. I don't like that you can't easily view the history of an employees profile at any given point in time. You can view the change history, but I wish there was a way to create new "pages" of an employees profile that would keep all of the history (pay, job titles, ect) in one place at any given point in time. Our previous payroll company did this. Also tracking trainings is a bit difficult (non-Paycom system trainings).

Pros: The resumes can be downloaded via desktop and smartphone, in case you're away from the office. The site/software keeps an automatic record of search history for convenience.

Overall: Myself and my company hire and screen our applications through Paycom and Applicant Pro. This software is easy to navigate.

Pros: The Customer support is on target. Affordability for non-profits. Training on the system is available when needed.

Cons: it needs more help with the system talking to each other. Example change a description in one part of the program it does not necessarily update throughout the entire program.

Pros: The software/website is very easy to use and they are always providing updates to improve and further simplify the user-experience. For a nonprofit organization like ours, the range of capabilities they provide is limitless, allowing us to generate detailed reports, create basic and intensive staff development trainings, implement mileage reimbursement reports, manage information on health benefits, and so much more.

Customer Service has been an issue we've had in the past, but this has since been addressed, as we were recently provided with a representative who is more hands-on and attentive to our very specific needs.

Pros: It keeps detailed records of payroll information as well as benefits. Our HR department has the capability to upload important documents that all employees can have access to.

Cons: When logged in, the program does not select today's date as the default date for when punching in working hours.

Pros: Paycom software is easy to use on both the employer and employee side. We enjoy the flexible options which allows us to pick and choose which programs our company will use, and we only have to pay for what we utilize. The customer service support is a great team of courteous people who truly care.

Cons: Paycom has great training videos that go over the software in depth. For quick reference it would be helpful if they incorporated some shorter, topic specific tutorials.

Overall: For small businesses this software is very affordable.

Pros: Paycom's assistance with the payroll process has been invaluable. The system is user friendly and makes it easy to add employees or make changes throughout the year. Paycom streamlines the payroll process and handles our tax rates, tax filings, accruals, and W2's. Processing our payroll takes only minutes and there is always a payroll specialist available to answer questions, either by phone or email. Our payroll has always been processed in a timely and correct manner.

Overall: Easy to use, cost effective and they insure timely remittance of our payroll tax obligations to the correct agencies.
Our payroll specialist has changed several times throughout the time we've been with Paycom. It hasn't caused a problem, just a matter of getting used to working with someone new.

Comments: Their Team methodically moved our company through on-boarding in what I consider record time. Their people are top notch from sales through go-live, and I can say our Team felt like we received white glove service.

Pros: This software package is complete, easy to use, and is topped off with excellent customer service! We are proud to be a customer.

Cons: The on-boarding process moved very quickly - we would have preferred to fill out forms online based on our timelines. I believe they do this now, so problem solved!

Pros: TokenEx was able to implement this solution in record time without challenge. This complete HCM solution has given our company visibility and the ability manage areas of our business that require attention and detail - and we can do it from anywhere. The value compared to other solutions is not even fair.

Cons: The on-boarding component should be automated, but I think they've got an online form for this now. Problem solved.

Very user friendly! Customer service is great! The staff is always kind, friendly and knowledgeable!

Pros: PayCom is very user-friendly and offers coding flexibility that is key for non-profit fund accounting. I also think they have a very comprehensive and intuitive reporting suite. Paycom is easy to navigate. The customer support services is great. There is always someone there to help when you call in. They are patient in explaining the solution you need for your question. Paycom is continues to update and improve both the payroll and HR platforms.

Cons: We don't use it to track upcoming vacations or planned PTO. We have found that Paycom is unwieldy in this regard.

Pros: Becomes increasing more user friendly; Interfaces and special requirements for our business run smoothly. Report writer has been improved over the years and is easy to use. Love the internet based access from anywhere. Service is good.

Cons: Wish prices would be lower but it is good software. As enhancements happen, there seems to be more prices.

Overall: Payroll, time and attendance for a very difficult labor allocation process, W2, ACA reporting, direct deposit

Pros: Internally it is very friendly and we excellent response time with our designated representative when issues arise. Highly recommend this product for these two important reasons!

Cons: Overall we are very happy but one consistent issue we have is our temps get confused with the language for adding their hours. We consistently have questions regarding what punch and punch pair mean. Only other recommendation we would have is for less steps and tasks for document management.

Pros: I like having all of my time cards, paystubs and benefits outlined in the system. It makes it easy to track updated documents from HR. I do not have any specific cons about this software. I find it generally easy to use, although I suppose it could be prettier?

Pros: Allows for alot of customized fields, reporting and is a simple tool to use. Best use is for payroll activities, goal management system is still very rudimentary.

Cons: It is not as robust as other tools, and they are heistant to allow API's to products that compete with their own.

Pros: I like that the software is user friendly and accessible in all formats (computer and phone). I can access it anytime I want or need it.

Cons: The use of military time for clocking out can sometimes be cumbersome , but overall the program is user friendly and easy to work with.

Overall: All my personell records are in one place and easily accessible.

Pros: As a small non profit new to using Paycom for payroll, this software is forgiving of mistakes and allows for corrections to be made. Technical support is a phone call away and is readily available to walk us through any questions we have.

Cons: Paycom offers so many services that are not utilized by our small non profit. The vast options available online took a little time to sift through but after a few cycles with great technical support, payroll takes very little time to run.

Overall: efficiency with payroll. Hope to increase utilization as we grow.

Comments: Paycom isn't a bad choice if your company is small, but if you have more than 200 employees I would recommend seeing other options.

Pros: There are a lot of features offered though Paycom that are helpful, like the ACA Dashboard, and can definitely decrease the amount of time spent on certain projects. Paycom is constantly updating and striving to improve their system, and making sure their clients are updated on government policies.

Cons: Unfortunately the reporting system is limited and not exactly intuitive. There have been times when there was something incorrect in the coding that delayed certain projects. When we had an issue (pressing or not), there were times we didn't hear back from the customer support for a long time, even after follow - up emails/phone calls. The fees associated with certain procedures seemed a little steep as well, especially when compared to other payroll providers.

Pros: My company has been using Paycom's services since the late 1990's. They consistently process our payroll correctly and on time. The customer service response is exceptional. It doesn't matter that we are a small company, we still get a dedicated team of specialists that usually respond to all requests within 15 minutes. The software/website is very easy to use and the built in report writer allows for special reports to be generated for things like worker's comp and insurance audits.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind. Been using the software for 19+ years - it does what it's supposed to do. Small companies like ours are treated the same as larger ones. We have a dedicate team that responds quickly and our payroll is processed correctly every time.

Overall: Our payroll process has been streamlined and getting reports is quick and easier

Pros: From the employees to our managers, to the systems admins we all agree the system is easy to use! I also love the fact that there is an instruction for just about every function in the system. Tis is super useful when training new supervisors/managers and staff.

Cons: I don't like the fact that the employee orgs are not readily available and built into the system. I see there is a new feature for this and I am currently working through the steps to activate this feature.

Overall: We utilize everything with the exception of the recruiting module...hopefully when our current ATS contract expires we will also move to use this module with Paycom as well.

Pros: The software is easy to use and very easy to understand. The Paycom systems are secure and safe. I have NEVER lost data on the Paycom software or with the system.

Cons: This is a great system. Very little I would change. The compatibility and the ease of use make it stand apart from all of the other companies we researched.

Overall: Very short and to the point. Easy to use.

Pros: We have enjoyed utilizing the hiring/on boarding process the software offers. This allows us to keep all employee files online and secure with Paycom. Performance reviews are always difficult not only to track but to evaluate once they are finished. This software simplifies the entire process and even has built in calculators based on those reviews to guide you to a new compensation for each employee. There are many other features we use, and we still don't use everything. This is a very robust product that I would highly recommend.

Comments: Our most valuable asset are our employees. For a payroll and benefits administrator, Paycom puts customer first in taking care of employees with efficiency and protects our business in the ever-changing world of government regulations and taxes. The employees love Paycom because they have access to their account 24/7 for their own peace of mind as well as great tools such as vacation requests and proof of income verification when they are making exciting life changes such as buying a car or house.
Thankfully our payroll taxes, healthcare regulations, and complicated government reporting is all handled by Paycom, providing the assurance that our business is 100% compliant.
With Paycom, doing payroll and implementing benefits such as vacation accruals, pension plan contributions, and health benefits is very simple to administer freeing up time to focus on our organization's growth.
When adding a new feature or benefit, Paycom's customer service is amazing! Our professional account representative is friendly, helpful and efficient. Paycom is also continually providing great training and updates on new features that are available. In a quick minute or two, I have learned valuable information on how Paycom is doing, even more, to stay ahead of client's needs and wants by continuing to be innovative and an invaluable resource. Paycom has been the best company decision for us!

Pros: the software is very user-friendly and has almost every tool you need available. from employment verification to benefits.

Cons: the reports sometimes take a bit longer than usual. but other than that, it's a great program to use.

Pros: Easy to use (for administrators and employees), Easy to add features and implement full life cycle for candidates to employees

Cons: Transition was lengthy from old system to new system because of the amount of verifying information. It is something you only do once during implementation and there isn't an easier way to confirm all the data that was tranfered.

Overall: We utilize it for benefits administration, payroll, annual reviews, action forms, and org chart.

Pros: Nothing. I would not recommend this product for any sized business. I cannot think of a positive function.

Cons: It is not user friendly, very old school - manual entry required. Changes made on 1 form that should feed to another do not. Manual and Paycom U do not teach or show everything you need to know. One of the worst payroll/HRIS systems I have ever used. So many malfunctions and finger pointing within the company as to why something failed. We have multiple companies connected and when we make acquisitions they should be setup the same. We have yet to have this happen correctly.

Pros: Paycom is very easy of use for employees' self-service of benefit selection. Employees are able to retrieve paystub and historical tax documents.

Cons: Customer service and issue resolution has been extremely disappointing. File feeds were corrupted and took about 5 months to fix.

Pros: On-boarding functionality, electronic payroll actions for manager, electronic open enrollment for benefit selection.

Cons: Actions would happen in the software, traced back to a Paycom team member with little to no explanation, for example, a deduction code shutting off or getting deleted. The customer support team had a hard time explaining functionality and how to make the system work better for us. Not all of our benefit providers could have a direct feed set up with Paycom due to Paycoms restraints and the applicant tracking system was clunky and not intuitive to even know where a candidate was in the process.

Pros: Customer service is excellent. Modules are customizable and flexible for our business.

Cons: Some modules, performance management, for example, wouldn't work for the way our company does our performance reviews.

Overall: Our company implemented Paycom this past summer and it has made a world's difference for our HR department. The integrated onboarding solution alone has saved our HR department countless hours and the other modules we've implemented (i.e. benefits administration) have been great as well. The customer service that Paycom offers has also been impressive and a welcome change from what we were going through with our previous HRIS/payroll provider.

Comments: Paycom has been great. From the transition from our old processing company to Paycom they have always been willing to help and ensure we have what we need. I think it is essential to have a great payroll specialist after you go live or you can be given the run around about issues.

Comments: I had a salesperson who was very caring and he still stops by now and then to check in on me. The transition specialist actually sat with me to process the first payroll in the new system. The only odd thing about Paycom is that there are two log ins for people who supervise others. There is the client (supervisor) username and password and then an employee side username and password. This causes a lot of issues for some reason and I'm constantly resetting passwords for people. There a way just to toggle from one side to the other once you log into one, so I've never had a password issue personally since I log in the same way every time and just toggle to the other side once I'm in the system. Also, rolling over insurance plans is a bit of a pain that you have to go through at the end of each year, but it's necessary for the ACA reporting. Pulling reports in the system is very user friendly.

Overall: This is a great alternative to ADP. It offers payroll, benefits, reviews, and covers the spectrum of employment life cycles. Its integration with our benefots administrator is particularly convenient. Starting up we had a fair share of glitches but their team was didoicated and committed to seeing us through to a successful implementation/. We are very pleased with the product and would recommend to other mid sized non-profit organizations.

The Very Worst Platform for Managing Payroll and HRI

Comments: I have found Paycom representatives completely apathetic in their approach to customer service. Their lethargic responses (if they bother) to essential concerns and needs related to jurisdictional nuances around pay rules and time keeping is unacceptable. Their inability to customize their system to any jurisdiction outside of Texas (which has the simplest of labor laws) is epic. I wouldn't use them and my company will likely stop using them sooner than later. Lord, hasten the day!!!

Pros: None. They make big promises and put in ZERO effort.

Cons: Everything. From their inability to customize according to business needs, to their deplorable customer support.

Comments: We took two years to make a final decision on which payroll service provider we would select next, I cannot tell you how patient and understanding Paycom was. They were not pushy at all and just presented us with the facts. I have been processing payroll for 22 years and I have to say this was the easiest of the five payroll implementations I have done over the course of my career. Paycom took the driver seat and made this experience way easier than I ever planned or expected, so much to the point we just knew our first payroll would be a failure and bomb out but that couldn't be further from the truth. To our amazement and surprise everything they told us happened just as they said it would. When my team would have meetings to discuss implementation we would say "this just seems to easy" "something must be missing" and my favorite is "just wait until we process our first payroll". I have now processed three payrolls and they were flawless. Our Transition Specialist was amazing, he was on site for two full days during our first payroll and has been on site at least one day during our other two processing's. I cannot say enough good things about Paycom and the team we have worked with. It is really "live" and all in one system. We were able to replace our Recruiting/Applicant Tracking and Performance Review system in addition to just our HRIS/Payroll System. Now everything is one place. AMAZING. Like every new system you have to get use to their processes but once you do it is so user friendly and easy to use. Even our employees like Paycom as we are self-service driven. I strongly recommend Paycom to anyone looking for a Payroll Service Provider. Danny H.

Cons: The only con is learning a new system and having to give up our Transition Specialist and Dedicated Payroll Specialist during the few payrolls. But our permanent team will be just as great!

Comments: The customer service is beyond words! I have never been unhappy with them! You have a dedicated client services representative from a local perspective and you have a dedicated client service representative on the platform itself! I feel I have great friends at Paycom! I am one of their biggest fans! Go Paycom!

Pros: Everything! They are cusomter focused! They are the most personable vendor I work with! They obviously know what they are doing when they train their representatives!

Cons: Typically the client service reps are so good they end up getting promoted to a management level! That means you have to break in a new rep! It use to bug me but each one is better and better!

Comments: Paycom's technology is superior to any other I have had the pleasure of using. The ATS and Talent Management modules are intuitive and simple to use. Talent Management and payroll work together making the review process easier than even when submitting merit increases. The employee self-service is great as well. All the information is easily accessible. I can view my 401(k) and see what increasing or decreasing any of my benefits would do to my pay.

Comments: I have saved so much time and no longer have multiple logins for everything. When I had questions previously, I never spoke to the same person twice and they always had to transfer me when I needed help with different products, but not with Paycom. I love everything about the system, especially the employee self-service. When my employees need their pay stub or W-2 information, they can access easily. The system is easy to use but packs a punch with its advanced report writer.

Comments: As a business I was appalled at there incredible lack of customer service. I attempted to set-up service and submitted all paperwork and paid $200 set-up fee. Then I was e-mailed saying they had decided to require a pre-authorized wire transfer to run my payroll. I did not agree to this new term and they kept my $200 saying it was "non-refundable" even though they never set-up my first payroll. Stay away from this company... they are complete crooks!

Pros: none.

Cons: everything!
