### "Human resource management simplified"

Paycom is a wonderful tool for small to medium organizations looking for a single system to manage Human Resources related tasks and processes. Employees spend less time managing their time, information, and benefits which results in more productivity. Performance management has become more visible organization-wide

Pros

Performance management is a key feature that allows me to efficiently track and manage my team's performance. Instead of a one-time, resource consuming performance review cycle, Paycom allows me to add notes throughout the year so end-of-year performance reviews become a snap. We recently implemented Paycom expense which has streamlined submitting and approving team and department expenses. A key feature is the ability to create expense templates for monthly recurring expenses, saving valuable time and energy. Benefits management simplifies what could be a complex process to research, understand, and enroll in company sponsored benefits. In particular, a single dashboard displays all of your employee benefits making it easy to find what you're looking for and make changes along the way.

Cons

We've recently tapped into Paycom's My Learning module. I'd like to see an investment in content development areas like security and compliance to further leverage Paycom as the main source for employee training. Paycom's UI design and navigation feels outdated compared to similar software.

### "Clocking in?"

Overall, my experience with Paycom has been a good one. I can access it on my mobile device and, to me, that is so important because there are instances where you need to access your payroll information and being able to pull it up on your phone is a definite plus. I don't remember what we used before Paycom but I can definitely say that I like it better because there is must more information that is readily available

Pros

There are many wonderful features to this program. It is easy to see your upcoming paycheck or review past paychecks as well as other tax documents. It is also a very valuable feature being able to view benefits, available time off, time used, etc. I would say that I especially like the Community feature where employees can leave comments or kudos to their co-workers.

Cons

I think that the navigation could be a little easier. After using this program for some years now, I still have to search to find my paycheck. I don't know if it's just me but I think if I had to change anything, I would change the location of the current paycheck.

All companies should use Paycom. It's reliable and easy to use. It immediately alerts you if you have any discrepancy. I genuinely like Paycom.

Pros

Being in control of my finances. Allowing me to have documentation if ever needed. Helpful tutorials. And alerts through your preferred notifications. Email, text, phone

Cons

Honestly I never experienced any issues. This app is hassle free.

### "Sales Overpromised, Quality Sub-Par, Customer Service a Joke"

The Mobile App is better than Paylocity and similar vendors. Reporting is OK.

Cons

Sales "sold" us services which system was incapable of. Nickle and dime you for additional services, no matter how small. Customer service wont respond to you for weeks or months. They even blew off 2 conference calls that they scheduled with us related to their customer service! We have had 4-5 rep changes in 12 months. All of which are horrible. And they take no responsibly for their errors or lack of communication and give you NOTHING in return for your troubles. They screwed up our taxes without authorization, which ended up being a $100,000 tax increase in a single day. 6 weeks later it's still unresolved. They hiked up our rates by 4% after just 12 months. THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

### "Handy Dandy Payroll App"

I find Paycom to be a generally excellent and efficient app that makes payroll and its associated functions easily accessed, updated, and implemented, with a minimum of fuss. It's highly functional and works well, with a minimum of glitches or other issues. I don't have complaints so much as 'I'd like to see's; given how rare it is for me to not have a complaint about something, that's high praise. I've used other payroll apps in the past, and thoroughly recommend Paycom for any size business.

Pros

I really like the ease of use I get in the app, as that is how I most often access Paycom. The layout is clear, options are logical, and it's easily understood at each level what I'm looking at and what I'm doing. The app is high-powered with functionality, unlike many apps that are just light versions of their websites. I actually prefer the app. The features are robust, allowing for much more than just requesting time off. Access to tax documents, time cards, adjusting payroll, and yes, time off requests, are all easy to navigate to and access. Having online learning resources and additional company info built in and accessible from the app is also a highlight.

Cons

One of my earlier complaints about Paycom- the awkwardness of entering PTO requests- was actually fixed in one of their recent updates. Although navigating to the various functions is easy enough, a 'Favorites' option would be most appreciated. Not every user needs to use every function equally, after all. While access to the options is easy enough, the layout and visuals of the app itself are somewhat basic, and could do with a fresh coat of paint, as it were. Some minor quibbles, like certain characters not allowable in PTO requests, are just that, minor.

### "One of the best solutions for HR"

Using Paycom as an Administrator is a breeze. Easy to set up, great for reporting, payroll processing, and customer support (I have a designated representative). No more case numbers or long waiting calls. For employees, or standard users, the system is easy to navigate. The Paycom App is fantastic.

Pros

As Administrator of the system, Paycom is convenient/easy to use. The modules such as Benefits Administration, Time and Attendance, Document Management, Expense Management, Applicant Tracking, are very intuitive to use. The report writer is the best. Compared with ADP, Paycom is one of the most user-friendly HRMS out there. Customer support is great. Each account/company has a designated representative assigned.

Cons

Price. The products are wonderful, but it comes with a price. Every company/organization has its uniqueness. Finding a perfect HR software is not easy, but Paycom meets all the criteria I need.

I took it for granted. We use workday now and I’m so mad now. It’s frustrating. I just wish they would improve their education portion.

Pros

I love how easy it us to navigate Paycom. Clear instructions, easy to understand and use. I love the tabs and dashboard

Boring courses that had cheesy and or stale content. Most of it was entry level content that applies, but it always felt like review. I didn’t feel like I learned anything new or interesting

### "Poor Customer Service and Value for Product"

Overall our experience has been negative. Especially for manufacturing - I would not recommend. In switching to a different software that has proven to do everything that Paycom does - we are not only finding it easier and more efficient - but the price tag is around $20,000 less a year. Not including all of the extra feels.

Pros

There is very little that we as a company have liked about this product. If I had to choose - I would say that expense management hasn't been bad.

Cons

This software is very clunky and expensive. There are multiple steps for each action and fees for everything. The customer service is terrible - if you have an issue you get screen shots of information not related to your question. Many times I question if they even read the complete email. There is also no accountability or ownership in their end for Paycom errors. They still put any fees to correct back on the customer.

### "Solid HR platform "

Pros

The learning aspect of Paycom is a big bonus for our company. Also our company employees love the depth of the HR areas. Tax documents, time sheets, leave balances, etc. It’s all so accessible for our employees.

Cons

We would love to see a better system for managing and enrolling live event learning/training classes.

My overall experience has been fantastic! Our implementation team is one of the best I have experienced in my career. The team communicates and works closely with one another. It has been a wonderful transition!

Pros

The Paycom platform is easy to view and immediately start using. The Welcome menu is easy to view, and alerts and notifications are clearly marked to grab the practitioners attention. I love that employees have to approve their paychecks! This saves HR/Payroll in any potential payroll corrections.

Cons

It wold be nice to have a customizable home page to include more company specifics, data, hyperlinks, etc.

The company I work for which was KFC only use the product I think for about 8 months and then they switched to another payroll service which really wasn't no better than paycom.

Pros

That I was able to go to the app and check my hours that I had worked during the week. Didn't have to worry about remembering anything because paycom we keep up with it for me.

Cons

What I least like about paycom is that whenever I and fellow co-workers would set up our account. Every time I had to redo my password which was very irritating because my boss will have to call paycom HR to be able to get the account unlocked

### "Paycom, good but could improve one big thing. "

Its a great software, If I were to own my own company and were looking at Payroll solutions, Paycom would be among the top 3 I consider. Paycor is even worse, so It should be good to know that yours is better than your competition. It does what it is supposed to do ,so, aside from some much needed functionality/interface improvement Its a great experience.

Pros

The ease of access and filling out onboarding documents upon first hire. It seems secure as well. An effective way to submit various schedule requests, that is, once the average user finally figures it out. The Mobile app is pretty easy to access and can be very useful. The quick response from the Admins.

Cons

Web Time Sheet (Read Only), this is Blocky and slow when submitting a punch change request. Greater efforts could be made with a user friendly experience in mind. When I first used it, It was confusing and choppy. The visual appeal is lacking with the format. Besides that, its great.

### "Struggling to get support"

Pros

Paycom seems to have a large amount of offerings that could support many different areas of HR. If you know systems at all, it can be pretty straightforward to navigate. As a user, it's easy to log into the app and to request time off.

Cons

We are really struggling to get any support or our questions answered. In 6 months, we have had three different account specialists and have had no transitions between them. The only way we know we have a new one is by looking at our Help section of the system. We have had ongoing requests for almost two months with little updates. We have tried to escalate to team leads and have not received much communication. My latest question was responded with "If you are needing immediate assistance with these items, I would recommend that you go ahead and call in to the main line at 800.580.4505 and any member of the team will be able to assist you." after I asked for an update when I hadn't heard back from our account specialist in 12 days. We've even tried to call into the main line only to be hung up on, disconnected, or told they would look into it with no response back. We don't feel this is typical based on other reviews and talking to other organizations. We just want to know why we can't get the same level of support or even a response.

Sometimes it laggs when your clocking out on the time management section and when your off the job who wants to sit around and have to wait if your in a hurry to get home

### "Paycom Implementation"

Overall experience has been great. From the initial meeting with Jack Darnell to the implementation process to now the transition to our account rep has been smooth and seamless.

Pros

The team has been absolutely amazing to work with and I hope this continues as we transition to our account specialist. Everyone made sure we have the tools needed for success.

Cons

With the implementation of Paycom and all new benefits it is also during a time that we are going through some restructuring with many changes. We have Talent Acquisition; however, we have not been able to utilize it yet due to the changes that are happening. We feel pressured to get using it from the Paycom team.

### "Bait and switch, twice"

Bait and switch, twice now. Do not recommend.

Pros

Client specialist is excellent at responding.

Cons

Beware this is a company that seems to be having some internal changes to its policies and practices. The first sign is when our sales person quit. Upper Management and local sales team members blame others instead of focusing on customer service and doing the right thing. We were absolutely "misled". Twice. We should have gone with Paylocity which was considerably less expensive but chose this company because it had excellent reviews and we were told that our price point would not change, that Paycom does not raise their prices on existing clients. Lie. Just received a notice of a 3.8% after one year. We were told price would only increase if we opted to use any future add on features they developed. We were also misled and told that what we signed on for included all the modules they offered at the time of signing. Another lie. When we went to get training on some of these features, we were told we didn't have them activated even though we provided email proof with our sales person that we were expecting to have access to these modules when we signed on. I do not trust this company. A little over a year with them and we've had two major issues where we've had the bait and switch pulled on us. Software is ok once you're trained. We've experienced payroll glitches with incorrect amounts being shown as being removed from our bank but all three times it was caught and fixed in time thankfully. I cannot recommend this company.

### "Don’t waste your time + money"

Hated it. Glad we stopped using it. Waste of time. Waste of money. Still paying for some of the issues.

Pros

I liked the initial training with a REAL person to understand how to use the program. The initial contact person was easy to get a hold of, available by text, etc.

Cons

There was TOO much in Paycom. And too many things that were unnecessary. I feel like I paid for a full program that I only needed a basic version of. Having to deal with wire transfers was a pain and expensive. The many steps just to complete payroll was daunting as well.

### "Paycom- great for timesheets, especially on the app, but confusing for hiring"

Pros

The app makes inputting your time and the code (e.g., regular hours) simple and quick. For supervisors, it is easy to approve time off requests and timesheets from direct reports due to the automatic emails Paycom sends.

Cons

When using it for hiring, the interface was counterintuitive, with confusing headers, automatic filters that hid candidates and many clicks needed to see the job applicants. This makes hiring more time-consuming and confusing than it needs to be.

### "Employee productivity and ease of onboarding"

Paycom makes it easier to keep track of new employees and handle HR records. Because of the software, the HR and Finance departments are now more productive than they were before.

Pros

Paycom is a user-friendly and efficient HRIS solution that incorporates application tracking, on-boarding, payroll, and HR analytics. Small non-profits will love this low-cost tool. I liked Paycom because it made it easier to upload large amounts of employee data rather than having to manually enter it into separate systems for HRIS and Payroll.

Cons

The first set-up is time-consuming and needs a significant amount of effort at the beginning of the process. Once this process is completed, the day-to day programs are rather simple to use.

### "Beware of Cost and other claims"

We have had a bad experience with Paycom. They are a petty, unethical company. The salespeople do not accurately represent the costs of the system. Paycom over billed us by $100K in the first 12 months of the contract because they put the “wrong” rates in. Shame on us for not noticing this sooner, but when we did they would only pay us back $75K over 3 months! They said $25K of the disputed amount we “signed” up for. The implementation was also sloppy as many of the integrations that they had promised were not working. It was a revolving door of consultants trying to help us. I will give them credit for having a good mobile app and marginally better reporting, but if you are with ADP or UKG, think twice about switching. I am happy to talk about my experience.

Pros

Mobile app is good as is the reporting in general.

Cons

Fees that were charged were wrong and sales people did not thoroughly explain the billing process. Very opaque.

The payroll module in Paycom is nothing short of impressive. The automation capabilities have drastically reduced errors and streamlined the entire payroll process. They are constantly rotating & giving us a new account rep, and with so many changes, glitches & weirdness that is just a part of Paycom - you NEED a support contact. When you call the customer service line they give you someone who was just hired and has no idea how to help you. The help line people actually GUESS what they can do to help. We had a responsive & knowledgeable rep when we first started and she was great. Ever since then (it's been a few years) their customer service has gotten worse. This year it's on another level of bad. I am still trying to get assistance with an issue on last week's payroll - they refuse to help even though the error was caused by Paycom! I dont even know what to do. I need their help to fix their error but no one in customer service is responding, I have been trying for 3 business days now.

Pros

I like how you can customize the reports.

Cons

Expensive, always trying to nickel and dime you. Horrendous customer service. They are always changing things without notifying users & often a change in one area impacts another area, making it difficult to use.

So far, \[sensitive content hidden\] have been extraordinary! They go above and beyond to understand our needs and work with their teams to respond with fixes very timely. I've been personally impressed with \[sensitive content hidden\] in all meetings, as he understands the product, and balancing the client needs and wants very well.

Pros

System is intuitive, user-friendly, functionality handles most of our compliance needs, and extremely pleased with the end-to-end Performance Management process that we have been able to build out. This capability enhances our employee experience significantly!

Cons

There was a choppy hand-off from our Sales Exec - \[sensitive content hidden\], to the implementation technical team, which could have been done much more effectively. Promises were made, but working with the implementation team could have been even more seamless, had there been a transition step involved. This was a miss on \[sensitive content hidden\] end that caused some friction on our end, and caused a delay in implementation.

Reason for choosing Paycom

Familiarity; used Paycom in my previous role years ago; and cost.
