### "Not a good experience at all"

We have been with Paycom for three years and the money I have spent with them has, many times, felt like I am being taken advantage of. If anyone wonders why we still use them, it is not easy changing payroll companies for a 300 person firm. I am sure their intentions are good, their product is not bad but their handling of problems is atrocious. It is unbelievably frustrating and 2019 is the year we start with someone else. There are a lot of good people there and a lot of poor management. Maybe they should take some of the little guys and move them up the ladder.

Pros

The time it took to convert from ADP to Paycom was good, but not high quality. Daily tech support was very good but levels above that began to go downhill.quickly.

Cons

Just about everything. Promises were made in the beginning and some of them were, literally, just lies. These empty promises were just completely ignored. Initial implementation was riddled with problems and very little support from tech side. Follow-up issues were addressed with "I promise to make sure everything is resolved". I heard this from a number of higher level people and never heard from them again. Every year our W2s were sent out incorrect without being allowed to review them prior to posting them to employees. Adjustments were made to our bi-weekly payroll without our knowledge and it took sometimes days or weeks to get explanations. We were charged for things that we were told were part of the payroll processing fee. There are so many things they do wrong, consistently, it is hard to give them any credit for what they do right.

Paycom has always been used at our company and have had no issues except that one bug on the app before newest update. Overall works perfect for our office.

Pros

Paycom has never disappointed our office. I like the ease of logging in and out.

Cons

We had to do a company wide update due to clocking out being a little off. It was just an old bug but was fixed on the newest update. Now it works just fine.

### "User Friendly System"

Overall experience has been great. Any issues or questions we may have are quickly addressed and we have an extremely knowledgeable dedicated account specialist.

Pros

Paycom software is very easy to understand and navigate. The modules are very comprehensive in terms of available features. The reporting feature allows you to pull information in a variety of formats. And the end-user has their HR information right at their finger tips which allows for easy access and updating information convenient.

Cons

Paycom has annual price increases to the software that we use. We started with a certain price which has changed over time.

### "Employee who loves Paycom"

I've been an end user of other payroll software in the past and I strongly prefer Paycom. It's features are easy to learn and use. It gives you all the tools you need to manage your time and pay without having to go outside the website or app to make a phone call or send an email.

Pros

The things an employee has to use Paycom for on a daily basis are very well done. Time clock, time sheet, and paystubs are all easy to find and interact with.

Cons

The mobile app is sometimes slow to open and load, which can be frustrating if you are trying to clock in.

I'd recommend Paycom for any company that's moving over 50 employees or over 100 employees and you need everything in one place - Timesheets and HR and Payroll are all in one place with Paycom.

Pros

It's cut and dried HR, logging in and observing pay periods or setting up schedules is easy. It's nice to have Timesheets, Time off Requests, and Payroll in one place as opposed to having these scattered across other small software (Harvest, Tsheets). The mobile app is nice.

Cons

It could be a bit clunky to navigate at times, and it doesn't work as hard as Gusto or Zenefits to be 'pretty' or 'fun', but it gets the job done at scale. It's a bit easier to look at after the update this year.

### "Not the worst, but not the best"

Paycom was supposed to be our ATS, HRIS, and payroll/PTO. Now it only serves in the latter capacity. While all software of this type offers challenges, Paycoms fundamental shortcomings and terrible customer service (in relation to ATS support) had us running for the hills.

Pros

The employer employee interface made W2s, PTO requests, and time entries very simple. The Finance team loved Paycom, and we are sticking with them to serve this specific purpose.

Cons

The document management system was atrocious- once a document is uploaded the title cannot be changed so user error can complicate reporting and sorting. The ATS function was the absolute worst. Very little integrations, out of compliance with new state regulations and a lackluster response to our repeated concerns.

### "Why didn't we switch sooner?"

Pros

Paycom is sooo much better than what we had before. It's night and day difference from our old provider. The ability to customize the fields and criteria that we need for our payroll and recruiting is incredible. Their customer service is top notch. There's nothing they aren't willing to do for their customers. I'm blown away! Oh, it's really easy for your employees to log in to their Self-Service platform. There they can do a number of things such as: update tax information, print paystubs, update personal information, etc.

Cons

Absolutely nothing! I can't say anything bad about Paycom. They have exceed my expectations. We still get compliments and rave reviews from our employees when they log in. Great product all around.

### "Paycom Review"

Pros

I had to have this software for work. It was very easy to use. You logged in and checked in when you started the day. Then you checked out and logged out when the day ended. It was a nice tool for work. I could also request time off and see my pay stubs. That was a nice feature of the software.

Cons

I did not really like how we had to clock in and out for lunch. That was kind of annoying when maybe you got back 1 or 2 minutes late, and it was late on your schedule. I also did not like how sometimes it would not log me out. I had checked out for the day and then I came back the next day, and I was still checked in from the previous day. That was a bit unusual, but did not happen very often.

Ease of setup for education and training materials and documents. Payroll handling is awesome. Document and training tracking is amazing. Paycheck approval feature is really cool. Very easy to use for employees.

Cons

Needs the ability to build and send surveys and report on them more detailed.

Overall, it has made me see the value in a one-stop shop. I've worked other places where there are multiple platforms to keep track of. But this is a simple way to keep track of everything related to HR and I am never lost or confused.

Pros

The most helpful thing about this software is that everything is in one place. Anything related to payroll, HR, etc. is all in one place. I can find any of my important documents, my paystubs, time off requests, etc. And the app is also intuitive and easy to navigate. The app also loads quickly when I need to pull up a paystub quickly for proof of address or employment. Overall, it made my onboarding experience very simple and has continued to make it easy to find anything I might need.

Cons

The only negative I've ever experienced is that sometimes, when irrelevant items are added to a check-list, there is no way to "opt out" or remove notifications. My dashboard still says I have a missing item from when I was onboarded as a substitute, even though I am currently employed full time.

### "Paycom Essential to our Operations"

We are very happy with Paycom. Payroll runs like clockwork. We recently started doing direct deposit and has all staff start using the employee portal and we really like that.

Pros

Paycom's software is easy to use and their customer service is fantastic. There is always a live person there ready to answer all my questions. Having Paycom's service also helps me to perform my job more efficiently as I know payroll will always be done on time and accurately. Additionally, as a nonprofit that completes numerous grant applications each year, we can always quickly pull any payroll reports we need to complete the applications.

Cons

Sometimes it is difficult to find the report you want to run because of how they name them and what files they put them in.

Because they had the more robust payroll service we desired.

### "It pays to use Paycom!"

Paycom has made everything related to HR easier. Whether it's payroll, benefits, SOP's, document signing even business process tutorials, everything is in one place now and easier to access and interact with.

Pros

Paycom was, at first, difficult. Like any new software you want everything to be where it was before. It wasn't. However with just a few short uses and the tutorials I realized that it was easier, faster and better organized than the software we were using before, which was online based instead of app based. Thank god we switched to Paycom, which made all of our business lives related to HR processes faster, easier and more efficient.

Cons

Once I learned it I have not found anything to complain about. Okay, the fingerprint log in doesn't always work perfectly. :) There.

Overall a fine experience. Wish team all the luck and hope they regularly bring advanced features specially in U.I for admins and end users as that can be a game changer along with some reduction in pricing options

Pros

I have been with two companies now that have switched to Paycom and would recommend this to any company struggling with their payroll process. The customer service has been excellent and the outcome for our employees has been exceptional.

Cons

The biggest challenge is getting our employees onboard with change. Once we sold to them the importance of this change and they were able to see this, it was smooth sailing for us all.

It is a platform that with its usefulness facilitated the workflow to decrease by allowing employees to interact in a special way when reporting information for payroll, vacations or additional payments that sometimes they forget to make, there is closer communication with each one of the employees

### "Best all around payroll/HRIS that I've used thus far"

This is a great HRIS and payroll system. Probably not for smaller companies though.

Pros

This system has everything payroll and HR related. There are lots of features such as applicant tracking, onboarding, employee profiles, pto, time tracking, tax credits, and you are able to give different access to different admins - for example give only payroll access to the finance department, or only applicant tracking for recruiters. The customer service team assigned to your company are great at getting back with you on your issues.

Cons

A lot of the features though aren't user friendly. There is a lot of capabilities that could be simplified. Some of the features that we pay for, such as applicant tracking, have a lot of sub features that we don't use at all - yet still have to pay for them. There are lots of updates every once in a while, and it's frustrating when something that you're used to doing, is completely changed - and sometimes not for the better.

### "Preferred software for our Payroll and timekeeping needs"

Overall, we are very pleased with Paycom's software and support services. Although ADP is more of the "household name" in the Payroll and timekeeping software space, and is slightly less expensive, Paycom seemed to be the better option.

Pros

Our employees like using AND as the business owner, I like the self-service nature of the software tools, especially timekeeping and punch edits.

Cons

On the administrator end, there needs to be more standardized reporting options. Also, from a user experience, too many click throughs are needed to accomplish a simple task or retrieve data. For example minimum of 4 click throughs just to retrieve an employee's contact info.

Pros

It is very user friendly and east to navigate. I also like that if an employee does something it send me an email. The mobile app is also very coinvent since I'm not always at my desk.

Cons

Honestly I haven't found anything that I dislike at this time. I've been using it for about 2 years.

### "A great option for small businesses"

Pros

Working in finance operations and HR, I was able to use the software as an Admin and as an employee. Paycom was extremely easy for employees to use to view paychecks, tax documents, PTO, etc. On the back end, it was a pretty good option for a small business to run payroll. With employees working across the country, Paycom support was helpful in setting up local and state tax accounts, and making sure that we fulfill legal requirements. We also had the option to make corrections to payrolls (such as if an employee fails to report a change of address in time) in previous quarters, but at an extra cost.

Cons

When I first started using the software, we had 50 employees and now have 150. I find that as the company grew, it became a little difficult to use Paycom in special cases. I had to use CSV files in a very specified format and sometimes support would not know which template was appropriate. It required a lot of manual work. If you deviate even slightly from the format, it would either not work or make changes that you do not intend. Also, we had issues every year with with how travel reimbursement expenses were reported on both W2 and 1099 individuals, despite contacting support well in advance.

More time to do other tasks that I need to do.

Pros

They are constantly making improvements to meet the clients needs. Each moth they send you reminders to review the new changes and have helpful tutorials or you can call your customer service rep to help you.

Cons

Sometimes the changes can bog you down if you don't keep up on the tutorials or revie the updates.

### "Terrible Service"

There are just too many headaches when working with this company. I had to do a full audit on PTO to make sure people were credited correctly. I would not recommend this company and ended up switching payroll companies this year.

Pros

The interface is easy to use and has a lot of features. They time clock is easy for employees. Reports are intuitive.

Cons

The service was terrible. It would take 3 to 7 days to return my email's and I typically had to resend the email. The platform was changed and I was not timely notified so it took hours longer to run the payroll. My W-2's were amended twice last year and will need to be amended again this year. The staff does not understand the reporting rules on a health savings account. I have an employee over 55 who wanted to make a catch up contribution to the 401k. The system erroneously didn't allow it and changed the check that i had submitted. I didn't receive a phone call from Paycom but I caught the mistake and was able to get it fixed.

I like most the application can be used on different types of devices such as laptop and smart phone. Once password is saved you can you one touch to get in and out application.

Some features are hard to figure out and takes some trouble shooting to use .
