I haven't used all of the functions available yet such as onboarding a new hire but overall I'm very pleased. Pros Online portal & payroll processing, vast report options, mobile app, EE file management. Cons When researching Paycom the only negative review I seemed to come across was difficulty with the software. To a non-tech savvy person I can see how this would be true but the staff were absolutely great about scheduling times to train me and go over any questions I had. They also made sure to have me go through necessary functions rather than just sit & watch. Alternatives considered [Paycor](https://www.capterra.com/p/133745/Paycor-Perform/) Reason for choosing Paycom I used these 2 services at my previous job and both had their own quirks and difficulties so after my Paycom demo I decided it would be best to try them instead and in the 2 months I've used Paycom so far I have not been dissappointed. Switched from [PrimePay](https://www.capterra.com/p/156904/PrimePay/) PrimePay had terrible customer service, I had limited access in my online portal and the report center was confusing and never seemed to have the report I needed. Our payroll was incorrect and/or late more than once in my 1 year using them. They also double-billed me twice and it took 2 months of me repeatedly emailing, calling and following up until I found an employee willing to help that I finally got refunded. Managers are able to update or change anything as needed. Employees don't have to worry about faxing or scanning their individual time cards. This can be done anywhere on your cell phone or on the computer which helps make it less of a headache. Pros I love how easy Paycom makes collecting time cards. We used paper time cards previously and they had to fax or scan them in to us one by one. This allows each individual to do their logging in and out on their phone. It's easy to use, convenient and user friendly. Cons Like anything, it just takes time to get used to it. It's helped simplify the process of a new hire since on boarding is now mainstreamed through Paycom. We did have a hiccup once with our W2's not being correct and have had to go back and fourth with the company on a few things. The software overall is awesome. I think the issues lie within the back end on the company. Pros How easy it was to learn and catch on to things within the system. The neat features and wizards in place to help set things up. Cons Sometimes when I reach out with a question to our rep, the rep doesn't read my email thoroughly to understand what I am asking so sometimes I have to repeat myself or word something differently. Paycom is easy to operate for both administrators and employees. Paycom does a good job keeping users up to date on what's new. Anytime I have questions or concerns, I am able to reach out to my Client Relations Representative. Pros The Learning Management System is very easy to use and operate. I also like that we are able to track our employees through Paycom's life cycle. Being able to submit performance reviews, personnel action forms and surveys all in one place has helped us streamline our processes. Cons At one point, you could not switch back and forth between your employee and administrator account, which has been fixed. Now, I am able to easily manoeuvre between my employee self-service and administrator account without having to log in again. Pros Paycom is very convenient and accessible. It allows the ability to access employee documents easily. Paystubs, Tax documents, reminders and more. It takes away the trouble of having to call someone asking where something is as everything can be accessed easily through the Paycom portal. Employees and Management have so many resources available that never existed before, from pre-hire talent acquisition, new hire on-boarding, learning management system (LMS), Payroll, Performance Plans, etc.... We were able to take very ineffective procedures from our old ways and put structure in place to reduce the amount of time spent to provide our staff what they need to effectively do their jobs. Pros Paycom was by far the easiest, quickest and most successful technology we've deployed in our company's history. As updates continue to roll out we are seeing increased benefits and efficiencies. Cons The solution has no shortcomings for us. I would say our biggest challenge was conditioning our staff to utilize the employee portals as everything prior to Paycom was very manual and paper-driven. I’m hoping that my company decides to switch to another company Pros The cons out weight any pros. I have nothing good to say at this time! Cons I have been waiting 2 months for them to fix a mistake they made on my W2. I was told that it would take 2-3 weeks to fix. That didn’t happen! The response I get when I ask when they will have it fixed is “they are backlogged on correcting W2”. Is that a company you want handling your employees W2’s?? " May 6, 2020 5.0 This software eliminates a lot of time usually spent on calculating how many hours worked, how much PTO you have requested and also how much you have coming up. Pros Paycom has been the best timekeeper for us, for tracking when we come in and when we leave, requesting time off, seeing all time off request, and it even tracks (with it being featured in ) how much PTO is left in the "bank." Cons I do see any flaws in this software, it is easy to work in and it doesn't take too long to familiarize yourself with all the features! Sometimes it runs slow. Pros As an employee, I like having access to all of my information when it comes to my pay roll, benefits, clocking in and out, and time off. I like not having to go through an HR department. Under most circumstances, you can even clock in and out from your phone. The place I work won't allow it to happen under a different IP address. Cons Sometimes my account loads ridiculously slow or not at all. My coworkers will log in on the same computer and even the one next to me, so I know it's not the computer itself or the wifi.
