Pros

I love Paycom. I use it everyday for clocking in, getting paystubs, checking PTO, etc… it’s really easy to use and the app makes it easier.

Cons

Sometimes I have a hard time getting the app to recognize my location, but that’s the only down side.

The benefits of being able to access info after is awesome! This was always a pain before, having to track down management to look up something for you

Pros

All the things you learn about the job in the beginning but forget & need to easily access on a whim is right at your fingertips!

Cons

Completing the documents were frustrating at first, maneuvering back & forth between what was completed & what wasn’t. But I suspect a learning curve, b/c I didn’t have any trouble later on.

customer service was very good, software for small business, not so much

Pros

I used Paycom for probably 12 years with small companies. At some point they decided that wanted to up their service to larger companies. The software became a burden for small companies.

Cons

Where payroll took moments to run and just a few (less than 5) screens to complete, it became probably 15 screen to complete, so I moved on

The products are wonderful. The transition is excellent.

Pros

The technology here is high and easy to use. You can create, publish and release free of charge. Paycom is one of the most user-friendly HRMS out there.

Cons

One of the disadvantage of paycom is that it is expensive. The benifits of paycom are not automatically calculated.

Overall my experience with pay COM has been pretty awesome I can Clock in for work any time that I want and I also can put in my hours if I forgot to clock in

Pros

I love that I can use pay COM anywhere and I don’t have to be at a specific spot it’s basically a time clock on my phone

Cons

I don’t like that I can only use one specific device at that point in time because I have a work phone and I have a work iPad and I am only able to use one or the other

### "Excellent platform for payroll and benefits management"

My overall experience is very positive. As a user, I would highly recommend this software for any small to mid-size organizations.

Pros

Paycom is a very easy platform for administering/managing payroll, benefits, and year end tax forms. User can easily access paystubs, W2's, and benefits information via PC or their mobile app. User friendly for the entire team, and it has saved a lot of time when we process payroll each week. Integrates well with other applications as well.

Cons

Limited features in comparison to other software in this category. Also, the mobile app needs some improvement as it occasionally crashes.

### "Does the job, keeps things simple"

Overall our rapidly growing business was due for a professional, easy, and affordable tool to manager payroll, benefits, HR related things, etc. and this was perfect.

Pros

I can only compare it to what was offered before to employees. We used to be TriNet users. TriNet was very confusing that the customer service left much to desire. In contrast, Paycom is extremely simple, user friendly, and easy to manager. No complaints from employees, great customer service too!

Cons

I don't like that there are certain notifications that don't automatically go away even after they have been completed. It's annoying.

Pros

Paycom has completely eliminated the burden of dealing with payroll taxes. This has been a huge win. The HR tools have transformed us into a completely different organization. Implementation was really easy.

Cons

I'd like to have a single module instead of having to login to 2 different aplications for the user and client experience.

The technical support specialists are always eager to help and patient. Take your time to train and learn the software in-depth from the beginning; I didn't and learned a lot months down the road that would have helped from the start.

Pros

The report writing feature is great. I like being able to edit most of an employee's check in the payroll grid.

Cons

The interface is not user-friendly. Sometimes you have to search multiple places or enter information in multiple areas that could easily feed into each other with one entry.

Pros

For Payroll, the cost of this service is better than other platforms for a business less than 200 employees. It's easy for our employees to use on their phone for clocking in and out and managers find it easy to approve time bi-weekly. For the ATS, it really cuts down on double entry throughout the recruiting process. Fairly simply user interface that really extends a user's access to their talent acquisition. Customer service has also been great with our rep coming into our office on a somewhat regular basis. You don't see that kind of attention for a software provider.

Cons

While this isn't the case for just Paycom's ATS, you are unable to manually enter a applicant into the system from the recruiter dashboard. It can only handle applicants who apply online either through a job board or your website. They offer an API but it's priced so that you can't justify it. On the Payroll side, I personally don't have any issues with the system. Maybe not having more self service tools? We use IP based time management and you have to call them directly to update those IP addresses.

Our processed went from outdated to the future with Paycom.

Pros

Ease of use and the Paycom app are only 2 of my favorite things about Paycom. Not only are all the Paycom tools at my fingertips, but its incredibly ease to use.

Cons

This system has really helped revolutionize the way we do things, dont really have any complaints. I appreciate that Paycom is always putting out improvements as well!

Pleased overall with the Paycom Experience they continue to make improvements to make regular workflow as easy as possible.

Pros

We have been using this software for several years now and have no complaints. The recent improvements have really improved PTO approval process.

Cons

The thing I like least about the program is that you have to have two logins as an employer and then an employee. Another addition to the 1000 usernames and passwords I have to put in a day.

### "Not a bad payroll software but support is lacking"

Overall the experience has been positive, even with the support issues. I believe that most payroll companies have issues similar to this, as we've had bad experiences with other companies in the past.

Pros

I like the ease of use of this software as well as the functionality of being able to batch update certain items or batch upload bonuses, etc. I like the mobile app for employees and love that I'm able to approve employees time of requests via email without having to sign in.

Cons

The support is really where this company is lacking. Oftentimes our dedicated support person won't respond to emails or will give answers that are clearly incorrect and we will have to force the issue to get her to look further into an issue. Issues tend to take longer than they should to get resolved due to this and a few improvements seems to have just fallen through the cracks without persistent reminders.

daily time management tool which i enjoy

Pros

I like how Paycom keeps your log right on the main screen. It helsp to be abel to see when you clocked out so that you can ensure you are on the dot. I also love how it has the app and I can view all of my pay stubs or any other information I need on the go.

Cons

I don't like how if you have vacation time you cant take it in increments, although we are allowed to at work, it doesn't seem to allow you to take that on there. There are a few snags mainly with time off requests that makes Paycom tricky but besides that it is a great program to use.

### "Customer Service is not what they sell"

We have been very frustrated with our implementation and ongoing service. They push to go live in a very short amount of time but did a terrible job of working to make sure the set up was right. They definitely have their own agenda but it did not match our needs. We still have to do continual follow up to make sure things are right.

Pros

The basic interface is easy to use and I like that we can customize the software to our needs.

Cons

It wasn't as helpful on the Payroll/Finance side and we still have to do a far amount of work outside of the program.

Paycom helps me a lot as a remote worker. I have not trouble clocking in or out and I am able to correct anything myself and don't have to wait for a manager or payroll to fix it for me

Pros

It's easy to use and really easy to fix accidentally clocking the wrong time and easy to correct it yourself.

Cons

None, I didn't have any issues.Paycom is very easy to navigate.

Pros

Paycom is a great software for payroll and HR. You can manage all the details of the employees from onboarding till their exit. You can check in your entry time, break time and out time for the day. You can send requests to HR for leaves. You can view your paycheck details, how much money has been deducted for tax. You can also fill tax forms using this app online and send them to HR.

Cons

You cannot check in your time from somewhere else if the paycom app in your institution works on your institution's WiFi.

### "Great for employees who are hands on "

Paycom has been a huge benefit to me as an employee who likes to check my pay stubs monthly, and track my PTO.

Pros

Paycom makes it easy for me to see my previous pay stubs and where that money is going. In addition, it contains a very easy to use paid time off section where you can view your total hours, and what you have used. For employers who don't roll over PTO to the next year, this is very nice to make sure you know how many hours you have to use, and when to use them by.

Cons

The interface is dated and could use some updating. Also, for whatever reason, on all my browsers it will fail to log me in using the saved credentials. A minor annoyance, but I have to type my full ID, password, and last 4 of SS every time I log in.

### "Good software for small company"

We have had some major customer service issues in the past and were considering making a switch to a new system. But we got a new sales rep and new client services rep who are great and turned it around for us. Good customer service makes all the difference! It think it is a good product for a smaller company.

Pros

It is cloud based and all the functions of the HRIS system are in one platform so benefits, payroll and employee information all flow together. Employees are able to login to view all of their information online for taxes, paychecks, and onboarding.

Cons

Some of the functionality seems to be a little behind other systems I've used in the past. When there is an update to the system, some of the functions aren't turned on for you unless you read the updates and request your rep to turn them on so you can miss out on some useful updates so you really have to pay attention or have a good sales rep that tells you about them.

### "Onboarding made simple"

Well above average as far as HR and payroll platforms go.

Pros

Paycom makes all HR activities simple for employees. From onboarding paperwork to yearly evaluations and benefit enrollment, long gone are the days of wasted paper. Everything can be done with a click of a button in a web based platform that can be customized to match your brand.

Cons

Some areas/processes could be simplified a little. Still a little clunky in areas.

No worry concerning taxes filings

Pros

Ease of entry and adjusting the time of employees as many employees missed clocking in and out. usually about 30 times a month.

Cons

Really nothing I disliked about the software. I was frustrated with the webinars presented by Paycom as literally none of them worked when I tried to access them. UGH
