My overall experience with Paycom is good. It is a strong payroll platform and I would rate in the top 5 out there.

Pros

Paycom is easy to use and customer service is good. The reports are very good and it is easy to create your own report.

Cons

Paycom's online help option is lacking. It is difficult to find what you need or there just isn't enough information available. The system also lacks many options that I found useful in other systems.

### "Not going anywhere, any time soon!"

We love Paycom. I get reach outs weekly from other providers that we never entertain. Most are trying to push us on price, as Paycom is known as the premium offering in the industry. However, the time and frustration we save and the ease of use to our employees makes any price differential worth it. It truly is very user friendly. We even have about 20% of our population who does not speak fluent english, and they figure it out. Our older (no-tech saavy) population have also adapted well. We still do a good bit of paper work arounds that we upload into the system. This is a must for us as we transition into the digital world but still require personal touches. I have been with outher systems that try and really force you to use their products digitally. Our reps from Paycom really listen and help us use the products to suit our employee's needs. We could not ask for a better partner for the HR side of our business.

Pros

I love the access our employees have to control all of their stuff. More than just see their paycheck, they can make changes in real time. The time to do payroll is so minimal, it has changed that world for us. I love their commitment to continuing education and that they listen when you have new improvement ideas. Those seem to come much faster than they have in the past.

Cons

Some of the products are still a bit clunky in my opinion. Mainly scheduling and performance. Scheduling is most likely to accommodate a more diverse schedule workforce or one where shifts can be picked up or traded. This function changes alot and one frustration we have is that when those updates happen and we make a change to an employee, something breaks and we have to dig in deep w/ our specialist to figure out how to fix it. Performance is just very broad. There have been quite a few updates in the last year that make this easier; however the build-out is still a different thought process than we normally would go through. For example, I would expect to open up a screen and build things out, section by section- like you would go through a document. Instead of this, you have to go to different screens and prebuild each section. Then start to build the review and pull those items in. It just leaves room for confusion in the building process. Once its built, it works great on the mgr and employee side- really just the initial setup that is a headache. The only other thing is there are still some special characters it doesnt like and when copying and pasting in certain screens, it takes a professional editor to figure out why you cant save.

Overall I think Paycom has a robust payroll module and data module along with some other great features that other HCM or HRIS and Payroll systems do not especially with the add in of IWant. There ATS has come along way and other modules keep improving. I think if you start small or mid size company and keep growing with Paycom it will be perfect. As for larger entities it may not be able to check all the boxes for now. I think Paycom is on the right track to keep changing the game.

Pros

Love some of the simple setup of some things such as adding new locations and position management and a couple other things. Customer Support does do it best to try to resolve your issues. If an issue is hit usually can call a rep to get a ticket open with a pretty fast resolve. Also this is a very forgiving system and many things are correctable if someone make a mistake which is such a blessing. IWant has made it an ease of use for the employees and manager so I am thankful for that add on of AI function.

Cons

Though the layout is good it could be great if there wasn't like 2 to 3 way to go to a module or section within the system. Having more then one way to get somewhere seems great but tends to confuse our managers and employees. Would like some improved functionality with effective dating and labor allocations.

I have worked with Paycom for a long time and done so on both ends of the spectrum with regards to employer size. Their tools are adaptable for any size or situation.

Pros

I like that Paycom's tools are flexible to the extent that they can provide core functionality for smaller companies and be scaled up at any time to an enterprise level.

Cons

We still see the odd tax issue here and there. Paycom's tax team should work on improving communication and transparency, especially when it comes to registering new accounts.

### "Needs some extended help after implementation"

Paycom does what it needs to. However, the complete functionality isn’t actualized because of set up.

Pros

The app works well for staff and managers. Some of the functionality is hard to implement (ATS) and there’s no support later to help with these products.

Cons

We’ve changed liaisons about 4 times since implementation and feel we have to explain all to each new one.

The number of features is impressive, and continually is growing! We are always finding out about new capabilities. On-demand trainings have been convenient and truly informative, if we ever need anything else, Paycom is always happy to schedule a live training, whether over the phone or even in-person.

Pros

Paycom representatives always respond and usually can resolve our issues within the same day. IWant and Beti have made a huge difference in learning the system, it's impossible not to share with other coworkers how helpful they have been!

Cons

Turnover in our client specialists was probably the one thing, especially when we had a good one, but Paycom invests a lot into their own team members.

### "Paycom for the WIN!"

Overall, I would recommend Paycom to employers! It makes it super simple to navigate on the employee and the employer side both. Staff have direct access to all of their information and are able to make changes as needed, which helps take a little work off of managers. Highly recommend!!

Pros

Paycom is easy to use for staff and for employers both! Only a few clicks for staff to clock in and out. Staff can access their real time current paycheck as they work though the 2 week time period. Staff can request time off and update their schedules as needed. Employers have easy access to fix and/or process payroll. With staff being able to input their own personal information, it takes a large burden off of employers to get everything processed , staff can do it themselves!

Cons

Luckily, I have not had many issues while using Paycom! Sometimes there are too many updates or trainings to take as thing change, but otherwise, it has been great!

Overall, Paycom has been beneficial and for the most part the ease of access has been good. There is still a lot of features that are offered and we don't really know how to use them.

Pros

I like that I am able to have control over the system and be independent. Of course, when I have questions our dedictated specialist is there to help.

Cons

On the Employee Self Service side - a lot of staff do not like that that everything is really spread out between different pages. An example would be the time managemetn section. I have to go to one area to add a comment, but go back to a different area to add a missing punch and approve time card. It would save time if it was all under one section. As an Employer - there are a lot of updates that happen and the update videos that are provided are not very informational. The Mileage tracking portion of Paycom is little bit too nitpicky. We have hte auto tracking enables, but the app will not auto track unless the app is running in the background. If you have the app fully open - good luck, it will not auto track because it "thinks" you are going to manual start a trip. Also there should be a way to submit all of your trips, but on the mangers end it only show as one entry. Because our managers have to review a lot of trips if the individual submits it each trip individually, but if hte individual merges the trip, the the detaisl of each trip are lost.

We have had a wonderful experience with the product and the organization. We have received world-class service and ROI.

Pros

Paycom gives my organization a great return on our investment. We receive great support whenever we need anything. The platform and user interface are very responsive and easy for our team members to use. We never run into any issues that they cannot resolve quickly. It gives us the ability to save time through automation, including leave management, access to schedules, and pay data.

Cons

There is really nothing we have found to this point in our 5 years using Paycom that has been an issue for me or my team.

Implementation in 2018 was rough but other than that we have had a good experience. Our regional rep changes a lot so we don't really get to know them.

Pros

User interface, access & availability. Open enrollment benefits specialist! They make open enrollment so simple.

Cons

Performance appraisals for employees are not easy to create. The goals section is confusing. It is hard to use.

Pros

I like that Paycom is an all-in-one system. I like that we can utilize one system for so many different things including Recruiting, Onboarding, Training, payroll processing, benefits administration, time and attendance, etc. Since joining Paycom a few years ago, they have continued to make improvements to the system and there are monthly trainings on those improvements- large strides in truly providing ROI for their customers

The implementation was difficult and the a few of the reps werent knowledgeable enough to effectively manage our account

It was great at the beginning and then I started having issues with getting responses back from Paycom. Once they restructured their departments and I got my current Paycom Specialist, I started to have a completely different experience and I wouldn't trade Paycom for any other payroll company.

Pros

How automated it has become. It will make the life of an HR professional easier. I have eliminated paper benefit enrollment. Automatic file feeds to vendors. The user interface is simple and extremely easy to use. An employee can easily change their language on their screens. My Paycom Specialist is top tier! He gets back to me right away or someone else from his team will answer my question.

Cons

I don't have anything that I particularly don't like about Paycom. At one time I would have said, customer service. That has changed in the last couple of years and I now have AMAZING customer support.

Okay is how I would describe it. Sometimes it is a challenge to get to the end when we questioned for our requests.

It is not great for healthcare. There are a ton of opportunities especially when it comes to auditing. Our Benefits & Payroll team have to do a lot of overhead to get items to work correctly which is a large concern.

Overall we are happy with Paycom. It is very easy to process payroll and it is nice that it is an all encompassing platform from applicant tracking to performance management.

Pros

The best part about Paycom is their customer service. Our dedicated support specialist quickly addresses any of our questions and he is very knowledgeable about the product. We also have regular best practice meetings which are always incredibly helpful. Most recently we had a project specialist help us streamline our system even more. This is the best customer service in the market.

Cons

Paycom's learning platform is not easiest to use. I have a best practice meeting scheduled to hopefully help me understand that part of the platform better. Another perk of their customer service :)

It has been a great experience and I really enjoy all the monthly releases and the webinars that go along with them.

Pros

We had Paycom for years and then switched to UKG. We were with UKG for about a year and went straight back to Paycom. The ease of Paycom for an administrator, manager or employee is top notch. The customer service is wonderful and the Paycom team is always willing to help!

Cons

The only thing I do not like is that when the releases come out , the features are not always avaialble to turn on then. I like to do things as I see them on the webinar so I do not have to go back later and do it.

Pros

Easy to use platform for management and staff, especially with the new IWant AI platform. Employees love the phone app.

Cons

No negative feedback to give as any infrequent issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

### "Love To Do Payroll"

Very successful. The modules are very useful and the continued enhancements to them are great. The customer service is always professional and helpful.

Pros

Beti. The payroll dashboard offers great tools to help create a perfect payroll. Payroll Analytics is one of my favorite tools. It is a great way to review, compare, and breakout totals.

Cons

The performance reviews were difficult to navigate through initially. It is not the tool itself that had difficiencies but rather we were trying to conform it to flow the same as our old manual process. Next year we have ideas in place to change our process to better use Performance Management.

### "Paycom - great payroll HRIS system"

The five years experience utilizing the Paycom system has been great, as the system has made great changes in five years with AI I want, myCom, and increased training topics.

Pros

Paycom built their system from the bottom up which runs smoothly, they did not purchase modules to add to their system which ends up having many disconnect for the customers according to the 20 years of experience with payroll HRIS systems.

Cons

Paycom is adding new features which is great, but the clients should have access to certain processes to understand it better as the company's subject matter expert (SME) using Paycom it would be helpful when they have an issue or correction.

Overall, Paycom is great. There is so much you can do and it helps a tremendous amount in our operations.

Pros

I love the access to everything. I am able to navigate the dashboard very well and learn about things that I don't know how to do. The Paycom representatives help a tremendous amount.

Cons

The only thing I dislike sometimes is that things can get out of order sometimes when a small detail is incorrect. I know that is a lot on the user, but having to dig and find the small little error can be quite a task in the vast display of everything.

Our company has used Paycom for many years, and all I can say is that it is a fantastic tool for business. Paycom has all you need for HR administration and makes sure that you are compliant in all aspects. They are always updating their system and technology to help HR as easily as possible with a friendly user interface. I would like to mention the excellent customer service and communication; if you need them for anything, they are always available and happy to help with anything you need.

Pros

There are several options, tools, and resources available to make HR more efficient. Paycom University, where you can have all the information you need, is also an additional benefit that many others don't have. The service fee is excellent compared to other companies.

Cons

Paycom should be more open to integrating other platforms. Not all companies use all that they offer, and sometimes we need to integrate other systems.
