Pros

The software has many applications that help with HR responsibilities and the software can be customized to exactly what my company needs

Cons

Sometimes it is hard to find exactly what I am looking for or how to make something function the way I need it to.

### "Paycom for the WIN "

We are extremely happy with Paycom and recommend it to any small company. We have been growing and Paycom grows with us, which is great as we need to add products and services.

Pros

We switched from Paylocity a few years ago, Paycom has by far exceeded our expectations. From value for your money, to customer support, east of use, IT bug and issues resolved, they have hands down the best services. Our company is full of non-program friendly company and our employees have not had any issues with the user interface as it is is easy to manager.

Cons

Paycom is a growing company and keeping dedicated customer service agents has proven to be an issue, however, they are working extremely hard at fixing this problem and it is slowly getting better.

Excellent from day 1. Paycom was patient with us gathering our information and I highly recommended to other HR directors

Pros

The training at set up and the constant follow up meetings. 8 months after initiating the transfer from Paylocity we still have follow up meetings.

Cons

might of taken a bit longer than I expected, but Paycom was incredible as we negotiated with the previous provider our exit date

Overall, I have had a positive experience with Paycom. With some bumps in the road, Paycom's end goal is always to support us!

Pros

Paycom makes it easy to locate employee information, as well as document a multitude of information.

Cons

The thing I like least about Paycom is when major updates are made, there isn't a formal communication about it. Especially when things get updated on the payroll side. I know we get emails about "what's new in Paycom", but there needs to be better comms with major updates. Unfortunately, when mistakes are made in prior periods due to Paycom's capabilities, there is zero accountability on Paycom's side. There have been multiple scenarios where we needed to correct data in different periods because of Paycom's internal process. They still make you pay fees!

Pros

Customer support is knowledgeable and respond in a timely manner. When I need support \[sensitive content hidden\] always has the answers. She is kind and patient with me.

Cons

The premade reports are too vast. It is hard to find exactly what I need. I only need basic simple reports.

100% satisfied. Ican not recommend Paycom enough. I'm not very accounting minded, and am always walked through my problem with courtesy and patience.

Pros

Paycom makes my job So Much Easier! Anytime I've ever had a problem or question, our agent or someone else in their department helps me efficiently, professionally, and quickly resolves my issues.

Cons

I truly can not think of anything I don't like about Paycom. I tend to work late hours, so it would be great if they were open later in the day, but I certainly understand that nobody wants to work late into the evening.

Pros

Our Specialist and the whole team are very knowledgeable and answer questions quickly. System is very user friendly.

Our implementation was rough, but the team that did our implementation is no longer a part of the company.

My overall experience with Paycom has been good. It covers the basic functions I need and is generally reliable for everyday tasks. While it’s not exceptional, it gets the job done and is fairly easy to use once you’re familiar with it. There’s room for improvement, but overall it works well enough for regular use.

Pros

It’s great how easy it is to change the language in the app and how simple it is to use overall. The layout is clear and user-friendly, so it doesn’t take much time to learn.

Cons

I find it rather inflexible, for example regarding time rounding without a grace period. The FIVE security questions.

Definitely pleased. It is always a little nerve-racking to change payroll providers. The changeover was definitely easy.

Pros

Definitely a god value for the money. We have not had any issues while using. We are able to run reports we never thought were possible with our old provider. Customer service is always helpful and polite.

Cons

Struggle with some areas like updates to benefits, so large it is hard to figure out how to do certain things.

I'm content with the online platform. The new AI feature facilitates fast information that can be useful when I'm in a hurry.

Pros

The online platform is user friendly. The payroll reports are great. ACA tracking is good, therefore we're able to comply with the IRS reporting.

Cons

I feel the specialist need more training with new regulations and navigating their platform. They want me to do the work that was previously done by them like updating tax rates.

Overall, it's been largely positive. I appreciate the account managers that try to find ways for you to use the system to the best of its ability and streamline a lot of manual labor.

Pros

I think that Paycom is a great value for the money it costs and that although it's a robust system, it's easy to use once you know how to navigate it. The customer support is great and your client manager actively works to ensure you're aware of new features, how to use the system effectively, and submit support tickets when needed.

Cons

I wish the user interface was customizable, however it works well for out organization. I would also like the MyCom feature to allow for more customization/better user notification that a newsletter is available.

They were an organization that worked ok for us and might work better for larger organizations than Providence.

Pros

Paycom had a product that was large enough to fit our needs as a growing church and nonprofit. They had a large support team.

Cons

They would push through system upgrades without proper training. Also, these upgrades weren't helpful to the team.

Its been a while since I used it with my old employer but what I do remember is that it ended up being easy to use and understand once I continued using it and was able to keep up with my own hours and time

What I liked most was that it was easy to use and understand allowing me to keep up with my time and hours.

Cons

There was an initial learning curve as I'm not good when it comes to computer stuff but once I fully understood how to use paycom it became 2nd nature.

Transitioning to Paycom was a huge change, the platform did not visually look the same as the previous one that I used. It was definitely a learning curve, there were areas of Paycom that were not yet developed at the time but were in the works to better the system.

Pros

Customization - Paycom had the ability to customize the way that each processing page spoke to the other and I could lay out my template and pages the way that worked best for me.

Cons

Sometimes when submitting changes for an employee, the effective date would not translate over to other users of the platform such has benefit effective date changes as well as to payroll.

Overall, I have no problems taking care of weekly/monthly tasks. The system is easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. As a user, I have no major complaints!

Pros

We used this for onboarding, payroll, timecards, general HR features, and I have no complaints. It is easy to use, feature rich, and makes HR tasks easy to handle.

Cons

The cost is prohibitive, but you do get what you pay for. I wish the timecard feature was easier to use,

The implementation process was long and robust. The response time from the support team is quick and very helpful. By employees like that they have more control of what their time cards and paychecks are like. We havn't unlocked the full potential of the program yet, but overall I am satisfied.

Pros

I love the automation of including labor laws in payroll. Our company has locations in 2 states with very different pay laws that differ depending on pay rates. I like how robust the program is with HR and on-boarding. Coming from a company that used mostly manual processes, Paycom ensures that I stay compliant.

Cons

Setting up tasks and assigning checklists aren't super intuitive. I find I assign to myself first to check that the employee view is correct.

I would say there have been some frustrations and delays but I feel confident everything will work out with our guiding team.

There is always someone to reach to for support that offers suggestions, helps with reporting, thinking of ways to help or improve things.

Cons

There is always someone to reach to for support, however, we needed a better support system with our company's implementation and forward. I believe it is a newer concept to adapt to for Paycom. We need timecard implemented and it should have been done months ago as a priority.

It has been very positive, and we have felt supported every step of the way by our representatives. New features are rolling out regularly, and iWant has been a huge bonus and time saver.

Pros

The customer service from set up, to daily maintenance and the local support team are all phenomenal. We've worked with a lot of HR Management teams over the years, and Paycom's team stands out among them all! The relationship doesn't feel transactional.

Cons

The system is quote robust for our small business, so it can be overwhelming at times. The team is always a phone call or email away, so that has helped with the transition and utilization.

My emails are answered right away, they are patient as I ask the same question 100 times, the training and guidance they provide is top tier. Paycom software has made our payroll simple and streamlined.

Pros

The simplicity and the customer service. The streamlining that it has provided to the Tribe has been a long time coming.

Cons

We are new to Paycom so I am still learning and as of today, I have not found a con yet. If there was one thing that I found tedious were the tax documents for set up.

### "Easy to Use, Avoiding All Sales Calls... "

Overall, the platform is user-friendly and intuitive, and we've had a very positive experience with our Paycom Specialist, who has been consistently responsive and helpful. That said, some members of our executive team felt that our Client Relations Specialist was overly focused on upselling products, which didn’t align with our priorities. As a smaller organization, we value streamlined solutions over add-ons that don’t fit our current needs.

Pros

Our Paycom Specialist is the best! Nic always responds in a quick and timely manner, and is always helpful.

Cons

We attempted to do a trial run of Beti to explore whether it would be a good fit for our organization. However, instead of a contained trial, the system was fully implemented into our environment, which resulted in several changes that couldn’t be reversed after we decided not to proceed with Beti. This has impacted key workflows—most notably, we’re no longer able to approve salaried employees’ timesheets in the way we previously could, which has led to ongoing complications. Additionally, we were informed that creating an organizational chart requires Beti, which was unexpected and suggests the system lacks flexibility unless we invest in features that may not align with our needs—such as the $15K/year cost for Beti, which ultimately isn’t the right solution for us.

### "Paycom is okay for what it is."

Overall the customer service is okay, they are responsive but don't seem to be fully informed about how everything works. The training portal is atrocious along with leave management. There should be a testing side to be implemented so that we can test out how things work on the back end before all employees receive it and it is wrong. Overall it is okay for the price.

Pros

Employee self service is pretty easy to use and navigate along with assigning trainings and documents.

Cons

NO testing side; this is a huge con since making a simple change without knowing how it impacts other areas of the system can cause extensive issues and make the company look incompetent.
