### "It does the job"

Overall, the use of Paycom does the job of managing employees time worked and time off. It works better for salaried employees than hourly, as the punch system is tedious and not intuitive. Viewing time off, accruals and paystubs is great. It also is a great tool for annual enrollment of company benefits.

Pros

This software allows you to manage your own and employees' time sheets. I like that it allows for an unlimited number of funding codes, which is necessary when working for non-profit. It easily shows pay stubs, manages benefits, accrued time off and requests. Manager-on-the-go app is great for managing payroll of subordinates.

Cons

Reporting functions are limited and not intuitive. Sign-in process is tedious with extra layers of security which seem excessive. App is not really tailored to a mobile device, and seems to be just the web version fit to a mobile screen. That could use some work. Punches in and out for hourly employees seems over-complicated.

### "New to Paycom"

Very good. The implementation team knew the product very well and responded to questions and emails promptly.

Pros

Great implementation team. Very organized. The system is very intuitive and easy to learn. It has the flexibility to do what we need it to do. Very easy to use report writer.

Cons

We had a very short period of time to get this implementation done, but that was out choice as we had to switch system rather quicky due to the start of the new year. I will give Paycom credit for keeping us on schedule through the entire implementation process.

Pros

Most of the daily functions like entering time, viewing PTO and adding new employees worked well and were easy to navigate.

Cons

The least helpful part of Paycom was their customer service. Our advisor changed multiple times and we never knew who to contact. We rarely ever got the issue resolved we called about during the first call.

Paycom makes me feel empowered in terms of handling my clock in/out. I don't need to wait for soemone to approve the changes that I need. They make everything so easy. Plus the customer service is very helpful.

Pros

Paycom is very user friendly. It is to complicated to use. I am in control of my the changes that I need to do.

Cons

They can improve more the option to add a lunch or break when employees forgot to log out.

### "A Good Holistic HR solution, with a few tweaks it would be even better!"

Paycom is the holistic HR solution we utilize on our campus.

Pros

The job application process/module is fantastic. As a hiring manager, I can see who applied, when, and automatically click on their resume and cover letter. This makes the process very easy and saves a lot of time. Time card management is also very easy. I can easily see the hours my employees have worked, and then either approve or deny particular days, or the entire time card.

Cons

I don't like that I have to have two separate logins -- one as a manager, and one as an employee. Particularly since I have to have two separate passwords. Additionally, while the performance review module itself is very easy and helpful, the fact that I have to manually push the review to the employee is unnecessarily annoying and should be fixed. It would also be helpful if reminders for timecard approvals would provide a link to the appropriate site in them. Instead, I have to manually go to my web browser and type in the URL -- it a little thing, but would make this much easier.

### "Good UX/UI, but watch out for inaccurate PTO tracking"

Good except for PTO tracking

Pros

Intuitive to use - I've used this for punching in and out (and if you need to request a punch time switch it is easy to do within paycom which was great), tracking PTO, and requesting time off. Everything was straightforward and easy to do, and you get email notifications when PTO is approved.

Cons

PTO tracking was not accurate - I would have to track my own in order to not risk losing PTO that said was used in Paycom. It generates your future available hours, but it is not always accurate. I found myself having to go in and count the calendar days every time I wanted to plan to take PTO.

Pros

It is very hard for me to say what I like the MOST about this software. We went from 27 total employees to 62 in a matter of about 6 weeks. As a one-person payroll/HR department, Paycom helped to make my life so much easier. Paycom does so much for me. 1. My dedicated specialist is very patient. He is always helpful and knowledgeable. 2. We are able to assign and track our employees' training here. 3. We are able to store all of our employees' documents within the system. Having Paycom has been a huge help to me. I highly recommend that you try it!

Cons

The thing that I like the least is trying to decipher the reporting process. Some of the reports are easy for me to figure out and some are harder to try and decide how to get the information that you want.

Pros

I love that this system tracks EVERYTHING! Paycom is very compliance oriented and they not only look out for themselves in the scope of compliance but they also ensure that you as a client are not a risk. The always ensure that you are provided with support and work collaboratively, which means if your dedicated rep is out someone on their team is familiar with your account and can assist.

Cons

Nothing really. Initially starting it can seem to be alot if you are not as tech savvy and as the system is very robust, however, they will walk you thru step by step.

I have used many payroll systems, from ADP to UKG and Paycom has been my favorite by far! The ease of use of the system, the amount of things you can, the customer service support...everything has been amazing so far which is why it tops the list as one of the best payroll platforms!

Pros

There is so much to love about Paycom. The system is very easy to use, while being robust in the things that it can do! The reporting, the Time and Attendance integration, the data set/payroll creation is very easy as well! Gives both someone with a lot of payroll software knowledge, as well as a beginner, a great chance to succeed!

Cons

There is no con that I can think of right now...the system is great and works very well!

### "Easy to use as an employee and a manager."

Moving from a paper and email request system for PTO to this electronic system was a life saver.

Pros

The ability to manage time off requests and request time off are my favorite things about this software. As a manager I was immediately notified when one of my employees requested time and I could approve it directly from the notifications. And as an employee, to be able to request time off from the app on my phone was a game changer.

Cons

Editing an employee's hourly time sheet was probably the most annoying thing about this software. I feel that it didn't flow correctly when making edits, as in if you changed something on Wednesday it would then mess up Thursday and Friday.

Pros

Paycom is a fantastic application. I prefer using the app on my phone over the website online, however both are great. Something I really like about Paycom, is how user friendly and easy to navigate the application is. I never have any issues.

Cons

Sometimes, it is difficult to see if your punch is submitted. I've only had this happen a few times. Usually, you will receive a pop-up notificaiton that the punch has gone through, but there was a few occasions where this did not happen.

### "Paycom is easier than other Payroll apps "

I like Paycom better than other payroll companies. It is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Very intuitive and easy to do bulk approvals specially when you manage 150+ employees.

Pros

This software is user friendly and very intuitive when it comes to running reports and approving PTO and checking for attendance adherence

Cons

This software is limited in the sense that when you are trying to do bulk uploading for time cards it will not let you do it if it's towards the end of a pay period.

I do not think the paycom support team understands their product. We simply switched ERP systems and needed to update corresponding GL codes. A very BASIC task. The solution is another Band-Aid and patch work. After we were rushed to go live even though we were not ready, we ran into constant problems. The solutions have been to Band-Aid each gap. After about 20 Band-Aids, the damn has broke. Basic things are challenging using this system and the support is awful. The mindset of paycom is how quickly can I get off of the phone with this customer.

### "Switched from ADP to Paycom"

We took two years to make a final decision on which payroll service provider we would select next, I cannot tell you how patient and understanding Paycom was. They were not pushy at all and just presented us with the facts. I have been processing payroll for 22 years and I have to say this was the easiest of the five payroll implementations I have done over the course of my career. Paycom took the driver seat and made this experience way easier than I ever planned or expected, so much to the point we just knew our first payroll would be a failure and bomb out but that couldn't be further from the truth. To our amazement and surprise everything they told us happened just as they said it would. When my team would have meetings to discuss implementation we would say "this just seems to easy" "something must be missing" and my favorite is "just wait until we process our first payroll". I have now processed three payrolls and they were flawless. Our Transition Specialist was amazing, he was on site for two full days during our first payroll and has been on site at least one day during our other two processing's. I cannot say enough good things about Paycom and the team we have worked with. It is really "live" and all in one system. We were able to replace our Recruiting/Applicant Tracking and Performance Review system in addition to just our HRIS/Payroll System. Now everything is one place. AMAZING. Like every new system you have to get use to their processes but once you do it is so user friendly and easy to use. Even our employees like Paycom as we are self-service driven. I strongly recommend Paycom to anyone looking for a Payroll Service Provider. Danny H.

Cons

The only con is learning a new system and having to give up our Transition Specialist and Dedicated Payroll Specialist during the few payrolls. But our permanent team will be just as great!

I've been using it for a little over a year and have very little complaints. One thing that is a bother is the trouble with logging in, and it is sometimes sluggish.

Pros

It is wonderful to be able to check you time card for errors, put in for time off requests, and is overall an extremely easy to use and handy application.

Cons

Many co-workers have great difficulty with log ins and password changes.

Paycom is the corvette of HR and time management systems. We looked at many other products, and very few offered all native modules, and a nearly perfect user experience... Those that did would be the super-cars of the industry, they may be ultra performant, hyper tuned, or can do anything, BUT that often makes them expensive and hard to maintain. Paycom struck the perfect balance for our company.

Pros

Paycom pays their sales team and integrations people based on the success of the company they are selling to. The software is intuitive, web and mobile friendly, and most importantly all native to the paycom system unlike almost every other vendor we looked at.

Cons

A bit pricey, some modules are not included by default, not as flexible as some other tools we looked at.

Reason for choosing Paycom

Paycom was the only provider that was 100% integrated with themselves. All others had multiple modules that were built or acquired across time resulting in poor performance, difficulty in training, and poor user experience. Paycom stood above all others in being the most intuitive, while maintaining the functionality and flexibility we needed. There were others with more flexibility, or features, but they did not stand up to what we needed from the user perspective.
