Pros: It's a great, robust system, and it's always free. The directions are very clear and customer support is always helpful.

Cons: There are very infrequently dropped calls and some users are required to pay long distance fees for using this service.

Pros: It's in the name -- the best thing about this is that it is free. It's very easy to quickly get a phone number and use it with your team. It's also great to get multiple for breakout groups. Very easy to use, and a good alternative when our existing conferencing software is having issues.

Cons: Since it's free, it's very limited. I don't get video and screenshare options like I would in a fully-fledged conferencing solution, but I don't expect it to be that.

Pros: Stable, good quality audio and screen sharing. The service is very responsive. Remote viewers see screen activity with little to no lag even with relatively slow internet service. This is the best service of at least 10 we've evaluated - paid and free.

Cons: Participants have to download software in order to share their screens. A lot of companies don't allow users to install software on their business computers. This is a significant shortcoming.

Overall: Free Conference Call is an easy to use, reliable, mostly browser-based web conferencing service. We needed a service that would allow clients to participate using just a web browser and this service does that. The meeting host has to use their software, but participants just have to join with a compatible browser.

We tried a number of services and were paying for an unsatisfactory service when we discovered FCC. The paid service supposedly had a browser-based solution, but we soon learned that all participants had to download a sizeable program. This just isn't an option for a number of our clients.

The only shortcoming of FCC is the service requires any participant who wants to share their screen to download their program. This prevents clients with IT restrictions from full participation if screen sharing is required. >90% of the time, this isn't an issue. However, when it is, we have to use an alternative, fully browser-based (but inferior) service. If FCC resolves this limitation, they will have an almost perfect service.

Saying Freeconference.com is FREE is a lie. 1 cent per minute VERY POSSIBLE to call callers

Comments: I was VERY unhappy and disappointed with my experience with FreeConference.com.

I was UNhappy and upset because I found that the call cost myself and a few of my customers on the call 1 cent per minute for dial in which was INCREDIBLY embarrassing because I advised them that the conference call was free. Everyone knows that if they use their cell phone to call anywhere within the United States, it's FREE. So even though freeconference.com states that cell phone rates could apply to some people, that would not raise a flag to almost anyone. Basically I feel like "freeconference.com" falsely advertises. I found out about this 1 cent problem 7 minutes before my call, which is not enough time to try an alternative route to avoid EMBARRASSMENT as the moderator of the call that chose this site over others. I'd rather know that I have to pay dollars upfront, than to be deceived into paying 1 cent per minute. FreeConference.com could do something more on their website to warn potential customers that the call my cost them. Or at least say T-moble and boost moble customers could possibly be charged 1 cent per minute. SOMETHING.

I truly believe that CUSTOMER SERVICE is important. Freeconference.com failed at serving me with information that was detailed enough to prevent me from being embarrassed in front of my clients yesterday.

Saying Freeconference.com is FREE is a lie. It costs 1 cent per minute for MILLIONS of people.

Pros: I loved that it was free.

Cons: Not always reliable, but I suppose that's what you get in a free service.

Overall: We used this service for a few months while we were assessing which conference call service to use. It's not bad - very few dropped calls. And it is, in fact, free. The quality was usually good and, if it wasn't, you could just have everyone call back in and it was usually better. For what it is, it's a great service.

Recommendations to other buyers: It doesn't hurt to try it out, but it's good to have a backup. It's best used for internal meetings where no one is really going to care if there is bad quality or a dropped call.

It's the best!

Comments: FreeConferenceCall.com allows you to do just that - have a free conference call! it is such a great asset to have in a workplace that conducts multiple- daily conference calls with coworkers and clients. Once the call has ended you get an automatically generated email detailing information about the call including how many participants and where(location and phone number) they are calling from.
