FreeConference.com has been my go-to conference calls and audio presentations for years. Pros I started using FreeConference.com 20 years ago to facilitate family reunions and church auxiliary meetings. I like that it’s free. I started paying as the need to record content was important for sharing. Cons I honestly can’t think of any improvements. It is simple enough to use and there are areas for growth. Pros We began using FreeConferenceCall during the pandemic and it has been a great asset in keeping the congregation connected. We have a weekly prayer call on Tuesday, participants dial-in to Bible study on Wednesday, and there are times we use it for our Sunday morning service for those not able to attend. It has been a great value in comparison to alternative options and our elderly members are able to manage the simplicity. There are further uses we have yet to explore but look forward to expanding its usage. Cons Sometimes the dial-in numbers need to be changed due to not continuing to be free through their provider. For the passed 4 years i have never thought of changing for another software. Pros The best and most important thing about this sofware is that it is totally free to use. Apart from that, I always make around 2hours of conference meetings without any interference and they allow me to record all my meetings for free. I also like the fact that they give us a free dial in number to use for a specific country for inviting people into the meeting. There is a new feature on the software that allows us to upload our own videos and broadcast them to different platforms. I think that is one of the best features because you dont have to go out of the software and search for third parties to broadcast your stuff. Another good feature is the one that allows us to share the white screen. For people with educational purposes, this is the feature that will best work on their interest and make their work very professional. The screen sharing is very useful and easy to deploy with the ability to choose what needs to be shared. It has a white board for jotting down some ideas or concept which I find very useful in collaboration meetings. Free Conference Call allows both a web login as well through its application which can be downloaded both in Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone. I have it everywhere I am and that's great! It is convenient, easy, and accessible to everyone on our team. Pros FreeConferenceCall.com is quite user-friendly and many of the participants have no issues with the service. The service provides substantial participation for up to 100. The screen sharing functionality is top notch and participants have stated that the service is easy to use. Cons The biggest con I have with this service is that it is NOT free for everyone. I have many participants who join remotely and even though the number is supposed to be free, their mobile service does not allow them to call the number. Many times they are charged an additional fee to call. We started using this service multiple times a week just for updates and prayer, and are continuing the service in place of in person committee meetings. We have had greater participation in board and administration meetings using Free Conference Call than we have had in person before the pandemic. Pros Once we were able to call in (see the Cons), FreeConferenceCall was a lifesaver for our church to stay connected at the height of the pandemic. My church is a mostly older population, but the steps needed to call in have not been too difficult for most of them. Any number of interested participants can call in provided they have the conference number, and the sound quality on the call is also quite good. Cons We had severe difficulty being able to call into meetings on or just after the hour. I had multiple instances where I tried to call in 10+ times with no success and I was not the only one. For that reason, we eventually shifted our calls to be quarter before the hour and then had little to no difficulty. Sometimes can be hard to hear others and there seems to be a bit of a delay that at times prevents me from providing my input before someone else has already begun speaking. Pros I use it primarily for conference calling by phone and it is very easy to use. Free Conference Call It is ideal for our needs. Moreover, it is flexible and can manage large numbers of people if needed.
