July 18, 2023 5.0 FreeConference offers the same meeting options as Zoom & Skype but at no cost. The quality is great, and it is quite simple to use. It's so simple to add a new meeting or edit an existing one. I'm very happy that I came across this platform and highly recommend it! Pros One of the things I love the most is the fact that the link is the same for all meetings and never changes. Cons If you have a recurring meeting set up and need to change the date/time, the button 'all meetings in series' doesn't always change every meeting in the series. Also, the maximum number of times you can have a meeting repeat is only 10. For my business, I quite often need a meeting to be repeated 20 times or more, so I end up using the 'indefinitely' button for those, and then delete the ones I don't need. But that's a little tiresome. It's free, so easy for different users to have their very own conference call number. Pros Free is hard to beat for this easy to use conference call service. No ads, etc., just sign up, get your number and access code and have your calls. Offers a recording option as well. Offers international numbers as well. Cons The phone numbers may be toll calls for some users. Some users may also experience issues calling in, but they do have backup phone numbers available. I'm not tied to my office or a conference room to initiate a call. The name says it all. The best part is that it's free. Pros I have used freeconferencecall.com for over a decade. I like that the app gives you the ability to set up calls when you are on the go or on the road. The new features now allow you to do video conferencing. The best part has been the reporting aspect. Keeping track of business calls is extremely important and the recording feature captures all the appropriate information that is needed to make the meeting a success. Pros Due to the pandemic we have switched all our on-site meetings to virtual and phone conference call meetings. Fact that i am managing around 20 communities and deal with different Board members out of which some are tech save and some are not at all. For those who were good have started using the alternative paid services lime Zoom and Go To The Meeting but i was dealing with sone Board members who couldnt schedule their meetings using these complex softwares, i came across freeconferencecall and have tested it before offering it to my clients, i would say this is the most easy and convenient conference calling software for Board or any other meetings for peoppe with less or no technical expertise. If you are a small company or only occasionally use conference calling, this is fine. If you anticipate being a heavy user, I would stay away from it. Pros It is free! For a start-up law firm (or any business, for that matter), any expense you can save is ideal, even though there may be downsides to the product. Overall, freeconferencecall does the job well. I use it to schedule conference calls with my clients/others where multiple people will be on the call. Cons It has mostly worked out for me and others at my firm, but it sometimes glitches. At one point, it started directing my conference call line to someone else's phone so someone kept picking up! Eventually, I'm not sure what happened but it the problem got fixed. I was otherwise ready to give up on it. I still use it, although I will probably look for another provider (e.g. Google Hangouts). These conference calls are sometimes first impressions for prospective clients and I would not want it glitching or causing inconvenience for them. It will be more help full for the people's whos is not able to access good internet, so they can connect to meetings using the phone call. 2. Cons There's only been a handful of times over the last couple yrs when we couldn't join into a conference call. Another issue we had a few times, we were logged into the call but it didn't join us into the group call. It was like we were on a call by ourselves. Pros The sound quality is great, especially compared to some of the non-free competition. Running a screenshare is very easy, particularly when the other attendees don't have an account. Cons The only con I can think of is that the desktop client can be hard to find at times. I often have to login to the web portal to get a meeting start. In the grand scheme of things, this is a minor problem compared to the difficulties I've had with other conference call platforms.
