### "If I had to do it over I would not choose Zenoti"

The customer service doesn't understand their own system. We went through 3 different implementation teams and each time were told the previous team didn't explain the right process of things. We had to redo so many things over and over. Many of the benefits they told us this system could do it could not.

Nothing. Everything they told us this system would be able to do it does not.

Cons

Extremely cumbersome and confusing. Not intuitive at all.

We were promised Zenoti could do all of the aspects we needed which was not true.

Cons

The setup is quite complicated. I believe there is an area of opportunity on the sales to better set expectations of the workload for implementation. The project also started with a Project manager that was not very clear or communicative.

It's a centralized system to chart, book appointments, manage clients and leads, take payment, and review any data pertinent to the operations.

Cons

No cons for me to provide on the Zenoti system. As we continue to use and get to know the system, there may be opportunities of improvement, but all expectations have been superseded.

Awful - Run do not walk - AWAY - they offer no support once you a paying client.

Pros

It is connected to all our franchises so customer data is at any location.

Cons

It is a very non user friendly program. They do not update the platform. NOTHING autosaves. So if you step away from your desk and get delayed all your progress is instantly lost when working on reports, email campaigns, etc. They system lets us down on a daily basis. There is absolutely no "help" because support is out of the country and they take days to respond.

### "Gaslighting on Tap"

It's not a bad system if you just need the absolute basics, and if you are the kind of person who just accepts everything and never dreams of calling customer service to ask for better functionality. And if you're not color blind. But if you're the kind of person who knows that you deserve excellence and responsiveness in exchange for your hard-earned money, go elsewhere.

Pros

It has a catchy name, and it usually keeps accurate track of client appointments.

Cons

If you ever have an issue with the app, customer support's first line of defense is to gaslight you and claim that your problem isn't really a problem. They just rolled out their Version 2, and it's a disaster. The new color scheme for the appointment blocks are so muted, you can't see by color change when a client checks in. When I contacted their customer support to report the problems we're having, I was told, "I assure you, the colors have not changed." Fortunately, we have not updated all of our devices (our entire front desk staff revolted and refuses to run the V2 update), so I could take a photo of the before and after color schemes. I replied, "And I assure you, the colors have absolutely changed, and they are almost useless now." We have also had issues with the appointment screens on linked devices not automatically updating when an appointment is checked in, and a client form that is only accessible by a round-about back-door process instead of the big "Client Form" button that should bring it up. When I reported the client form issue, I was given instructions on how to change the form's status so it could be updated. Unfortunately, none of our IDs, not even our studio owner's ID, has access to the Admin section required to change the form. When I told them we didn't have access, their first reply was again, "Yes, you do." I sent them screenshots of our owner's Admin dashboard, and the necessary icon was not there. I have yet to get a reply.

I've worked in the engineering field for 20 years prior to implementing Zenoti. I can say I've never worked with a software company that is at this level of professionalism, ability, and responsiveness. There was some concern prior to implementation that the help desk is only chat based. You will see this in some of the other reviews. I can tell you all of our salons, and I as the owner, absolutely love it setup this way. Any questions are promptly answered, even if you tell them it's low priority. I typically dread working with customer service of companies but this one is different. It seems like they got hiring the right people down to a science because everyone I've dealt with is super smart and know what they are doing. I've even told a few of them I want to hire them when we expand! The software is always improving with cool new features that increase business or make it easier to do stuff. Their Smart Marketing tools are incredible. So many powerful tools in this toolchest. I'm usually a pretty harsh critic when it comes to systems and software. I also don't hand out referrals. I can say with confidence that Zenoti and their entire organization is world-class.

Pros

After it is setup, it just simply works. The UI is very slick and very customizable. We have never encountered an error or glitch. It is rock solid. A lot of high level programming and strategic thinking went into this software. As a multi-unit owner it makes managing multiple centers a breeze.

Cons

It has a LOT of options, and can be overwhelming at first during implementation. You will be assigned a manager who will hold weekly calls with you and your team, and they help you eat the elephant, bite by bite. It was a great experience, it just can be overwhelming at times.

We have waited a long time to do this review as we have really taken time to grow into this very robust system. I have done other reviews on this website and when something doesn't work...I am not shy to report it. However, I have really enjoyed the solid staff at Zenoti. I like that we can communicate easily via text and also by phone when in a pinch. We have added various aspects of their system as we have grown. For example, we weren't using the email capabilities to their full capacity nor the text campaigns until this last 9 months. We also began creating memberships over the last year that are an increasing hit here with our patients. I think that if you have a limited number of items in your inventory, then you should definitely use Zenoti. We just had way too many items and we needed one that could hook up to a scale to measure grams, etc. There are a lot of cool features in Zenoti as you dig around. I think just knowing that it will handle all of your basic aspects for services and scheduling quite well is great and then knowing that as you get more familiar...after the onboarding is over, start to explore the other aspects it has to offer. All in all great product and really good people on staff. Makes me want to go to India to meet everyone!

We started using Zenoti before it was even Zenoti...it was called Manage My Spa! -love the ease of creating services -robust patient info database with ease for creating reminders for a variety of things related to payment and customer service - ability to store CC info safely and securely - reasonably priced text messaging system - ability to create packages and memberships - ability to create online purchasing of services and products - can set up merchant account to accomodate facility as a health/medical facility so patients can use FSA/HSA cards -ability to create html coded robust email reminders and follow up -fabulous timely and friendly customer support. Do not let the fact that the customer support is in India steer you away. My experience is that the people of India and those working specifically for Zenoti REALLY understand business and the bottom line. They work hard to get things done in a timely manner. - On boarding staff was really helpful -Great marketing options from Text messaging to email campaigns. -increasing number of good reports for business analysis

\- we didn't like using this system for our very large inventory (7,000 PLUS items) - at the time (2 years ago) it took too many clicks to check our patients out and we found that for us we needed to keep our services separate from our retail options as patients were using FSA/HSA cards - creating the memberships has been a challenge. We find that there are a LOT of options and we have needed to have our hand held a lot on creating them; however, once they are created, they seem to work great. - creating the online store has taken a lot of hoops to jump through, but again - the customer support was right there assisting us every step of the way. -it's not HIPPA compliant. So we have had to make certain adjustments in our system to accomodate this. - For some reason their merchant receipts also state the sex of the individual. We have shared this with the staff and don't know why it's still on there. In the US, people really don't need to see that they are a Female or a Male who has checked out and purchased XYZ services. It just seems weird and irrelevant.

### "Zenoti grows as you grow"

Great so far. We continue to evolve and Zenoti is able to match up with us.

Pros

There are so many features that you really need to be aware of what you need or want. They do a great job with your customer suppport through the CSM to make sure you are getting full use of your capabilities that you purchase. I like that they are responsive to my requests and the software changes often. My old scheduling suite had not changed anything in years.

Cons

Zenoti is on the high side of pricing but you get what you pay for. It is very capable and will grow with you. Also, I would like a few more protections for business owners as far as not showing your employees all the information about your business. They ZMA and MyZen apps really push the boundaries of what I'm comfortable sharing in a super competitve business field.

We have had several POS softwares over the years but we have been extremely happy with Zenoti. While no software is perfect, their team takes the time to check in with you and assist in making the software work best for your company's needs. Our Account Manager Sahiti has been fantastic and brings our areas of improvement back to Zenoti and we have seen real change occur. When working with other companies we have been told that nothing can be done or that they are 'working on it'. Very happy to partner with Zenoti for our success!

Pros

The software is very user friendly and the online interface is fantastic. With many customers preferring online booking to calling we have seen a great up-tick in online booking. They also included a text communication system for connecting with your clients as well as a robust email marketing suite.

Cons

They have a very complex system for inventory management that makes it hard as a single location to utilize it effectively. We understand why it is complex for chain purposes.

The lag time to fix BIG problems was affecting our business daily. We only spent a year with them and could not WAIT to end it. Prior to that we were with Millennium for 10 years but needed to go cloud based as it was no longer supported.

We started with lots of downs as our setup process and some of our other system functionalities where not working. As more and more updates started to occur and we where given a rep for the product we where able to get all the assistance we needed to get rolling. I truly enjoy the experience and functionality now for this product and it has grown exponentially since we first started with it. I truly Believe it is the best product on the market right now!

There are so many features and access to fully customize that it can get really overwhelming during setup

I have used Zenoti for 3+ years. I have very few problems and the software continues to slowly improve over time. There is still room for improvement, but there truly is no software out there that will 100% fit all your needs. Zenoti meets more of my needs than prior software I used. (Schedulicity, MindBody, Booker)

Pros

Zenoti is great for membership-based businesses. It allows many things to be customized with many more options than Booker/Mindbody. Online scheduling overall has a good flow and can help upsell add-ons. The online booking experience is better than prior software I used. It is also great that Zenoti allows you to create target segments based on many triggers to send automated text and emails.

Cons

There are lots of the backend is not very user-friendly. There is lots of html coding and other outdated features when creating content, but Zenoti is slowly making things more user-friendly over the years. Some features are hard to find since the backend is quite large and scattered in my opinion, but the good thing is that many features can be customized more than other booking software. Since there are so many features, I feel that I am not using the software to its full potential.

I choose Zenoti based on their membership features and the ability to create target segments based on guest behavior to set up automated campaigns.

### "Great Implementation Experience with Zenoti"

Implementation team was awesome. Very technically skilled, very responsive, very polite. The communication has been excellent. We deployed at busiest time of the year (December) and the implementation team went above and beyond the call to support us.

Pros

User interface is easy to use. Logical structure of the system. Very easy to run reports. Dashboards for providers and manager.

Cons

Forms could use some work. It will be great when they enhance how forms can be sent to guests.

Modern user interface. Robustness of the solution - great appointment scheduling solutions, mobile app for customers and employees, structured with fundamental business concepts (KPIs, marketing campaigns, dashboards), technical skills (their people are very knowledgeable), lots of functionality (email campaigns, photo management, integration with Quickbooks, etc.). I decided to go with Zenoti after attending their "Energize" conference in Seattle. Their vision is awesome as well as their culture. New AI capabilities are going to be incredible.

### "Zenoti; Zen-NOT-i; Zen? Not I!"

Full access/no geofencing benefits: SO MANY! I actually ENJOYED Zenoti SaaS back then; before, \*\*\*\* hit the fan. Afterward, my experience with the SaaS, in particular it's customer service team members (I have email-paper trails/proof), and my post incident/accident experience up until today: Very poor. I wish that the employer's Corporate Authorities Would Switch AWAY from Zenoti. Then the 500 franchisees would be not Zenoti users anymore. I don't know what 500 out of 12-20k is to a company. Pennies on a dollar; six pence on a pound; or, pesos ... euros... monies WORLDLYnesses... galore!

Pros

Coming from Millenium, integration was easy almost exciting and anticipated highly ... It's very easy to use at first glance. The features (mostly security-based upon permission/user-access coding) are decent enough; if, they are set up at all. However, that's probably reflective on person-behind-the-access-granting-access and not the software itself. But when I contacted Zenoti in regards to software accessibility default vs. actual accessibility permissions granted to me and what happened to me inside the android version of the Zenoti application; Zenoti personel treated me exactly like my employer at the time. Complete Garbage. I was able to access everything from anywhere. Then, accidentally changed my user access level. I don't know how that's possible IF there had been ANY security settings in place. Basically, my best guess, is that there were none in place. The features (unlimited) I could access were AMAZING! It was a pleasure to use Zenoti software unhinged and unlimited. I could write client notes, view my schedule anytime from anywhere. After the accident, management put security finally in place after almost a year of business operations without them. And, then, my experience plummeted.

Cons

Limited access/user allowances are lame and useless. It takes forever to load on my android outside my cable/high speed internet wifi. It barely ever retains/remembers my user login data/information; and, constantly logs me out; and, I find myself re-logging in again, and again, and again. Daily! I cannot write my notes directly in the app; as, it stands, because it drags/lags over, and over, and over and over again. Zenoti is to be used/utilized on service provider's personal cellphones; but, because of lag and auto-unlogging; service providers find themselves checking the breakroom computer screen anyway, like before with previous software (mentioned above--in Pros). I have experienced the expressed complaints, concerns, and cares of clients' who feel that the display of their sensitive personal/health history data on service providers' personal devices to be breaches of their HIPPA rights/privacy/etc. I don't disagree. Security/access levels for users are not defined very well, if at all. It is very difficult to use for limited access-allowed users.

### "Use in a MedSpa"

It's been so-so. I have very mixed feelings on Zenoti overall. While it works better than our previous software (Aesthetic Record), it fell short of initial expectations.

Pros

There ARE a lot of features if you can figure out how to use them and set them up properly. We do also like that there is an App you can have for your MedSpa as well as an online booking portal.

Cons

Not many good integrations for MedSpas and everything is an add-on that you have to pay more for. Kind of clunky and dated and the checkout process (especially where coupons & discounts are concerned, and using membership benefits) and membership features are not the greatest. Also not very customizable or flexible to our specific business needs. The App you get (an have to pay extra for) is very bare bones and not much you can customize.

We like the extensive software features, client self service, payment process, customization, online performance, and software reliability.

Cons

Its a pretty coomplex platform so there's a lot to learn before you set it all up. the Zenoti University contains videos explaining most features.

I have been extremely impressed with the team that has set up the software (in particular \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]). They have worked tirelessly to meet deadlines, gone above and beyond to cater to certain custom requests and have felt like an extension of our team throughout the onboarding process. The communication has been clear and efficient and we have felt exceptionally supported throughout the process. As we emerge from what is hopefully the last lockdown in the UK, we are really looking forward to pushing the system to its limits and, in doing so, increasing our salons profitability in all areas.

Pros

Zenoti is a full service solution. Being cloud based, it integrates multi-site information, which enables the business-owner remote access in real-time to look at group or individual store performance. The planning and training helped us migrate all our processes in a highly systematic and efficient manner with consistent support, effort and consideration from the Zenoti team from start to finish. Whilst we are yet to begin using the software day to day, i would say that the ease of use, management of KPI data, API integration, dashboard, analytical reporting and the integrated marketing functionality are the true stars of this software which all help to automate administration and reduce manual effort. This has truly been an exceptional customer service experience.

Cons

Enhancements that have been requested; Loyalty Points - In terms of loyalty points automation i believe there should be more options to customise ways in which a client can accrue (e.g automatic points accrual for social follows, online sign up anniversary, 3rd party review/testimonial integration) - the current selection is rather limited Functionality to enable allocation of loyalty points in bulk (rather than per individual) CMA - more options to customise the look and feel - flexibility with custom brand type faces, font colour, ability to select which features from the webstore are shown/now shown Reporting - reports to showcase how many clients have signed up via the webstore (per day/week/month as well as custom time frame periods) Receipts - More flexibility with customisation - brand fonts Marketing - More flexibility with customisation - brand fonts Webstore - Flexibility to rename/repurpose/remove/hide modules on webstore (i.e. classes/ workshops) Social Media - no facebook and Instagram booking integration. Sharing of client feedback to social media story or posts would also be great. Forms - currently there is no integration with classes and forms - since we have repurposed classes for a hair model academy, an application form is an essential piece of this puzzle and we have had to outsource at an additional cost

### "Could work for most, be aware of the issues you'll run into"

We thought is was a newer software and cloud based, but it has been a sideways movement for us and the premium we are paying compared our old one is not worth it. Cloud based is good, but keep in mind, not only does their stuff need to work, they can only work as well as the browsers on your PC/Mac. And the customer support are unable to understand the issue and keep sending links for usage tutorials.

There are a few issues, but it's getting harder to wrap our heads around these: 1. Unable to add a product to a service without interrupting the POS - is an issue in larger salons where people are checking out while another ticket is being edited. 2. Waitlist does not work, even though one chooses a specific stylist, a range of dates and time, software triggers notifications when none of the specified criteria are met. 3. Manual invoices for deposits are not available (be aware of this seemingly trivial issue that could force one to sign up with another credit card merchant) 4 Rebooking a guest that sees different service providers during one visit is NOT possible. 5. Addon services cannot have a time duration if the main service has a duration on it (and what service doesn't?) 6. None of the employees can see weekly reports on their mobile devices - their options are daily or from the beginning of a payroll cycle. If one had to see weekly report, they have to add service totals, product and tip totals from each day manually. For the weekly feature, be prepared to buy a reporting module that has it's own additional monthly subscription fee. 7. Marketing modules bundled with most other software is available for additional monthly subscription 8 Customer support - We had critical issue on one occasion when clients could not book online. After a half hour, a junior tech. from Philippines comes on and had go find a senior engineer who were not available for hours and hours.

Reason for choosing ZENOTI

A few things were considered that were important to us, but our annual contract with Zenoti is ending soon and we are considering other solutions.

### "A Fantastic SaaS System & Top-Notch Support Team!"

Zenoti provided a solution that is able to be used in a Franchise system. It solved many problems including: accurate reporting & analytics by location and across the franchise, the ability to track & collect royalties, a system that can be set to automatically apply promotions and discount codes (easily), the ability to track discounts that locations are using, the settings that can be enabled by role, the ability for customers to make purchases online and via the app (when we're selling offsite), an app, customer consent forms are easy to fill out. All of these (and much more) are making it seamless and increasing sales by allowing us to easily ring-up customers and for customers to make purchases at their fingertips. The support team is incredible. Not only the minute-by-minute support received after launch, but the implementation team that gets you from beginning to end. The implementation team made me feel extremely supported and I truly made friends with them just several weeks into the process. This team spends hours (literally) a week and (sometimes) a day to ensure the set-up and transition from the old software platform is seamless.

Pros

Zenoti is an integrative platform that is comparable to and perhaps better than other SaaS systems for spa & wellness businesses. I like how easy it is for businesses to customize it to their needs, while customers can easily navigate the booking & purchasing platforms. However, the best thing about working with Zenoti is the support team. They are real, knowledgeable people who are integral in getting this system set-up for an organization. Two individuals who made our entire 'Go Live' possible, in what felt like reocrd time were \[sensitive content hidden\]. They were efficient, quick to respond, patient and bent over backwards to ensure our success. In what was already an almost impossibly short amount of time that we requested to have the system ready to go, they ensured a successful launch for customers and our franchisees. \[sensitive content hidden\] (trainer) was also integral in hosting video calls an answering numerous questions for our franchisees.

Cons

Overall, Zenoti is great. If I want to get picky about the system, I'd say the ability for the system, as an enterprise platform to have more options to turn settings on and off for certain locations -aka the option for price adjusting & the ability to edit email & text templates. However, being an enterprise (Franchise) system, generally you will have the settings predominantly the same for everyone. I do wish there was an option for the consent forms to be automatically text to clients without the EZConnect text integration, maybe if there was even a $0.10 fee per form auto text to the client.

### "Zenoti is Excellent!"

I love it. It helps create efficiency, it does the heavy lifting for running and operating a salon. Especially with lots of employees.

Pros

I like the client information portion. It keeps everything about their visits logged and you can keep notes easily. The Messaging for appointment confirmation and changes is another feature I truly love. It makes it so easy to run your business and to have any employee operate it. Sometimes the software can be overwhelming but I really like that I have someone who I can email directly, he is very prompt and helpful. I also like that there is a chat option to always receive help from someone.

Cons

I don’t like that there is no product sales option for small business. I also don’t like that I cannot display products on my site, even if I’m not selling them. I think that would be a great feature to add for small business.

Hi there! In the recent past... it's twice that we left & came back to Zenoti. We as a brand was in a hurry to complete & set up things ASAP which didn't materialize till the time, we visited ZENOTI office in Hyderabad & were taken across their office & complete product presentation was given to us, which was amazing to know & understand the process. We wanted to leave Zenoti for the second time, but things changed & we had seen a big & better picture & understanding of how a brand works & needs to be operated. My rating for Zenoti was 1/2 keeping in mind of the past, now we are moving into the right direction & process with the help of \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]. My rating now to the brand is 3.5 & saving the balance for the last :-) She has at all times guided us to bring the best in us & lots & lots of interesting Ideas on board now. Can't wait for see. Tracking of services, staff, service continuity, billing, reports, offers, packages, almost everything looks interesting here.

Cons

Inventory should be more user friendly. Can add more towards it for better operations. Like creating invoices, credit note, stock transfer, stock shifting, etc.

It is a great system to use and it has served our business really well. The features they offer cover a lot of ground for us and it helps our business grow

Pros

It is the software that gears towards spa and salon business so their features are what we need. Their POS system is straight forward and easy to use and you can pull up guest's profiles pretty easily

Cons

We have been experiencing some issues and sometimes it is taking a while to get resolved. One of the feature they offer is through the third party company and they have no control when there is an issue.

It has improved as I learn my way around over the years. there have been some updates that have helped but I would like to see usability streamlined more. I really like the chat help feature on ioffice. I would gladly speak with a software design specialist and discuss some of the issues we as a company experience.

Pros

\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is an amazing technical support person. Our system has some complex set-ups that are not common for this software. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been able to correct some major issues that have caused our system not to perform accurately as well as getting many credit card processing issues resolved. Over the years he has been the go to guy for the hardest of issues. He is very knowledgeable, patient and has great follow up. Many things have frustrated us about the software, but \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and a few others\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] have saved the day for us.

Cons

There are glitches. There are too many steps to some of the processes. we are high volume salons and we have clients stare at us while we get them checked in and out. Its usability is could be simplified. It does not seem to be designed with a non-technical person in mind. It also lacks some usability conveniences especially in the inventory and ordering end of things. I wish we could change the print set up of reports too. Some are SO small to read.

Reason for choosing ZENOTI

It seemed to have features that worked better for us. We liked the cloud base and the fact if we lost connection we could still continue to use the software. Other features were better as well.
