It has improved as I learn my way around over the years. there have been some updates that have helped but I would like to see usability streamlined more. I really like the chat help feature on ioffice. I would gladly speak with a software design specialist and discuss some of the issues we as a company experience.

Pros

\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is an amazing technical support person. Our system has some complex set-ups that are not common for this software. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been able to correct some major issues that have caused our system not to perform accurately as well as getting many credit card processing issues resolved. Over the years he has been the go to guy for the hardest of issues. He is very knowledgeable, patient and has great follow up. Many things have frustrated us about the software, but \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and a few others\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] have saved the day for us.

Cons

There are glitches. There are too many steps to some of the processes. we are high volume salons and we have clients stare at us while we get them checked in and out. Its usability is could be simplified. It does not seem to be designed with a non-technical person in mind. It also lacks some usability conveniences especially in the inventory and ordering end of things. I wish we could change the print set up of reports too. Some are SO small to read.

It seemed to have features that worked better for us. We liked the cloud base and the fact if we lost connection we could still continue to use the software. Other features were better as well.

### "Switching from Booker to Zenoti"

Overall, our initial onboarding team has been very helpful. When we've encountered an issue, as long as it has been brought up with them we generally receive a timely response and a solution to the problem. However, many times we are instead needing to reach out to the Zenoti chat help center. Unfortunately the IT help that we have received via the chat system has been very very poor. On a few occasions, despite labeling our issue as high priority, we have not received an adequate solution till the following day. Or when we list the different things we have already tried to fix the problem on our own, the IT team regurgitates the same information back to us. It is because of this that many times we have had to find our own solutions to problems spending hours going over Zenoti help sites and reading tutorials instead of being able to work on other pressing business matters. The IT support has been so terrible that we've just about stopped reaching out to them for help altogether and have either messaged our onboarding team directly instead or found our own solutions to the problem. We're very excited for when everything is fully onboarded and running to plan because we can see the enormous potential in this software for our business, but we've definitely had a few bumps along the road that have left us quite frustrated at times.

Pros

Zenoti has a lot of features and customizations that weren't available to us with our previous software program. The Booking Wizard for one is an excellent feature for our front desk when looking for a provider's availability. We've also come to really love the ezConnect text feature. Many of our guests are much easier to get in touch with via text communication and this is an excellent way to do that without using any of our employee's phone numbers. I also love that we can establish prerequisites for services to ensure that when a guest is booking online they can only book certain services if those prerequisites have been completed. This has helped us to avoid some inappropriately scheduled appointments that we often had with our old software. We also now have access to a lot more specific data for our providers. For example they can now easily check their customer retention and rebook rates, they can set goals that are trackable within the system, and we as a business can better monitor our provider's use of time and adjust commission accordingly.

Cons

There is a lot of getting used to when going through the initial onboarding process because Zenoti has so many customizable features. In general these customizations are a good thing, but it can be frustrating when you are in front of or on the phone with a guest and you run in to an issue that requires adjusting a specific setting because it is not always easy to find amongst all of the other options.

### "A software that has a lot of firepower, but easy to use for the SMB spa"

So we were just having a lot of issues with our old software provider (Booker) - feature roll-outs were taking forever or not meeting timelines, had to resort to using 3rd party software for certain features (and then occasionally having sync issues), the API to our payment processing not working and either not charging customers (or worse, double charging them), the software site being down for whatever reason, slow, bugginess, etc impeding upon our receptionists ability to do their job, the list goes on. But there is a lot of inertia once you are in a software, especially for several years like we were, but once we decided to add locations we knew we had to take a hard look at the market. Zenoti thus far has met all of our expectations, freed us from the issues we were facing, and given us additional horsepower to optimize our business and increase our utilization that we are looking forward to using. They even were able to provide us savings on our payment processing, which I thought was close to impossible as we had looked at other payment vendors over the years and thought we had it as good as it could get. Plus having actual people to connect to with our issues if we need them, a help desk that can dig into your issues when you have them LIVE (albeit sometimes takes a while, I wonder if they are a bit shortstaffed there), and a high functioning system makes this a relationship we see going on for a long time.

Pros

The software is essentially enterprise-grade, so when we made the switch as a SMB local spa there were a TON of settings/questions we had to go through at setup, but the team does a really good job of understanding your processes and requirements and getting the software dialed in appropriately. It is a product that fits us for today and well into the future, and the additional features they keep rolling out just continue to make our business more efficient and our lives easier. When we went from 1 location to 2, we went back to market to look at software alternatives (we were on Booker), and Zenoti just jumped out at us as the best alternative. We were using a 3rd party for our loyalty program, and another company for email marketing, and were able to consolidate it all within Zenoti, which is better for us and better for our customers. Now it's one system for everything, and someone in one location can see the schedule or know what's going on in another location, our customers can choose where they want to visit us at, and it all works seamlessly without having to go back and forth or worrying about it something didn't sync or something got missed in the master data.

Cons

Biggest thing we are missing (and we have put in an enhancement request) is the ability to prioritize certain staff over others, as we try to book certain people first before we book others. Also wish we could allow staff to get text messages when appointments are booked for them, as most people function by text, but with the new Google/iOS calendar syncing this may be a decent alternative. Also the length of appointments is odd when you have appointment time plus buffer time that all looks the same, so wish there was a way to grey out buffer time or make it different so our receceptionists can discern easier if they need to reduce buffer time a bit to fit in an additional appointment.

Online booking has been a solid improvement for our business, I was nervous about it but it has filled all the gaps, and there are many more areas to gradually delve into to help make it run smoother.

Pros

What I like the most about Zenoti, is the one to one care package that you get ongoing, they don't just stop once your in, you have someone to keep you going, to talk to about problems, to encourage you to try new things to advance your business and to keep encouraging you into it if you don't make the time.

Cons

There is nothing that I have found that I dislike, if I have a problem I tell \[sensitive content hidden\] and she helps get that problem fixed.

The overall package sounded like you were getting more care for your money and business.

Zenoti is an eager company that has a great vision but is still working on organizing themselves to support that vision. They have great teams that will help you make a success of the system and the features you have. Any time I am met with frustration I have reached out to my customer success manager or some other people I have met along the way that continue to help me, I am often directed to a team that is eager for feedback and listens to your issues and suggestions. I can honestly say that about 86% of the updates that were featured on the latest big update came from me and a few of my franchisees. I will not lie and say I haven't had issues and frustrations but that would be true for any program.

Pros

I love the implementation, sales and customer success team! If you go with Zenoti try and get \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and his team, they are the most knowledgeable and helpful. The product delivers a lot of great and useful features but you have to really learn how to use it, there is always a box somewhere on another page that you forgot to click. But once you get the hang of it, it becomes super easy.

Cons

I will not lie, there are some things about zenoti that aren't the best. Basically the full system is amazing and they have lots of add ons that will suite your needs, however, you will pay!!!!! We negotiated a base price and our system works and we are happy with it but I would like to get better reporting and some more efficient customer service agents (although my key point person is great the rest of the team seams more lost then helpful) but to get a better level of customer service or to get clearer reports you have to pay for the add ons. If you are willing to spend more than the base price than I think you will be happy with the system but it is on the higher end of systems in its category.

### "Excellent System"

Love love love this system. It's a more expensive system but you get what you pay for in functionality. I have the data I need to run my business and I can access that data whilst not being in the salon I can rebook clients from home ( essential for when you are in lockdown in the UK). My background is financial analytics and finance operations (previous career) and I understand the important of data and the power of knowledge that it gives you for running your business. I can make better decisions, I can track my staff performance with a click, my finance team have the data when they need it wherever their office is. No more pulling reports and then finding it doesn't give them the data they need and me having to make a car journey to run another report in the salon.

Pros

The reporting I needed reports that extract to excel as well as onscreen analytics that tell me what my business is doing as well as downloadable in a format that I do not need to doctor to use on excel. This is an amazing system. There are so many reports to choose from and I have a very happy finance team. Access to system from off-site No timing out issues meaning a trip to the salon to put back on ( unlike my previous system that ran off my machine and offered limited functionality offsite. Intelligent booking & rebooking Booking optimisation, rebooking SMS connect features 2-way texting with clients - no more missed messages Late cancellation & rescheduling charge functionality Set the rules and the system calculates where it applies. No more guessing the time and we can now blame the system and say it's automated! Staff visibility of performance Drives more accountability Ability to book on Ipad or tablet Takes the sale into the treatment room & staff have all the info they need in front of them including consultations Set up discounts & money off Set up memberships, pre payments & digital gift cards Clients can self check out - perfect for contactless transactions Card capture No more accounting nightmares with deposits Clients love it as they don't need to get their cards out at the desk and can check out quickly. They also like not having to pay a deposit when booking multiple bookings Dashboard progress vs targets - see where you are at any time

Cons

Currently no facebook and Instagram booking integration Not a deal clincher but needs to be implemented My version of SAGE is not support - hopefully in the future but team very helpful in setting up a bespoke report to get around this.

### "Switching from Mindbody to Zenoti"

The experience with the Zenoti team, specifically our Onboarding Specialist, was exceptional. My team felt very supported and while there were some hiccups during the implementation process, there was never panic or stress that an issue would not be resolved. We felt really comfortable and happy with the overall experience. We're looking forward to utilizing Zenoti to its fullest.

Pros

The client interface for booking class and purchasing a membership is a wonderful experience, I find it to be much more straightforward and there are a lot of customizable options. I also find Zenoti's integration with Zoom and Shopify create a better client experience and we're just starting to see the benefits.

Cons

With any software, when you switch from using one to the other, there will always be some things that are missed. But the team at Zenoti has been very accommodating and helpful with finding alternative solutions or even raising opportunities for some of those features that we would want to see. It is a bit of a learning curve and the number of reports available are a lot and overwhelming. So it will take time to understand and learn the ropes.

We found that Mindbody's software was getting more expensive as they acquired more third-party companies, their support team became less and less supportive, Mindbody required clients to have a Mindbody Login - which created a lot of confusion for our clients who could no longer use our App, and when we requested support, their support staff would send us to a web page that didn't end up helping our client or us to troubleshoot. So essentially, our subscription kept increasing, but the software and support were creating more stress and anxiety for our business operations and leaving us with unhappy clients that we couldn't help.

I have been able to work with an account Manager- \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] who has been really helpful and has connected me to resources when needed. We had an issue at first with our injectable faces loading on treatment notes. This was something within the software that could not be fixed immediately- it required the engineers to get involved and many phone calls and follow up because we did not understand why this was happening- we were able to meet with the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]/other employees who helped ensure things were resolved. I have not had a major issue since that and I was pleased that even as a small account we were given attention.

Pros

I have been really happy with the program overall and I have used many different programs in the past. Many marketing and reports that I used to pull manually and put into excel are now automated. I appreciate the functionality that it has to offer and have not found it to be cumbersome to teach new employees or for the medical staff.

Cons

Recommendations for new adopters: The more you front load your learning of the system- Everyone completing all the modules, using the ? button in the system first before contacting support, getting very involved in the setup of your system, forms and inventory- the better. Retake the same modules once you have 6 months of operation with the software so that you can elevate your understanding and ask new questions. Understand ahead of time that your first layer of support is always online so if you do not have a person who has the time and flexibility during the day to resolve any issues or questions that come up with Zenotis support team- your team may be frustrated. I am a non-clinical operations consultant who handles these types of things for my employer so it is not an issue for them.

Horrible!!!

Pros

Compared to our old system, the user interface was better than the old one. The checkin kiosk works well, and most of the functions for the most part.

Cons

I have many more cons than pros.- Their Zenoti branded credit card machine sucks, and if you lose WiFi connection there is no way to check out clients, this is a BIG problem for us and embarrassing when our clients have no other form of payment. It makes us look very unprofessional.-Our phone rings more now than it has for nearly a decade due to all the grievances our clients have when trying to schedule our appointments, we get calls from disgruntled clients all throughout the day because the Zenoti system for various reasons (we have at least several different scenarios/issues that clients can’t schedule their appointment).- we have two computers at the front desk that we use (as well as our mobile phones), because we are a very busy high-volume salon Zenoti system. The problem with this? It rarely syncs on its own so therefore if you are busy and a customer calls (again we get a lot of calls now because their system sucks) and you schedule on one computer but forget to “sync”, you end up double booking. -Product inventory….I won’t even go into this in detail but let’s just say that after having this system for 6 plus months our inventory count/stock has still not been right.Honestly there is so many more aggravations that I’m done listing them as I am getting angry just thinking about what a nightmare this system has been.We have brought the most pertinent issues to support since having the stystem and THEY STILL HAVE NOT RESOLVED THE ISSUES.

### "The most feature-rich salon software on the market"

So far, we've had a wonderful experience. They have a very thoughtful approach to onboarding (I've never had a team at my disposal during a software rollout, but again, most software isn't this thorough with so much potential.). They have great online training for staff, from front desk to providers. We've enjoyed the ability to count and adjust inventory from the phone app. If you've used other salon POS systems, you'll want to layout all of your processes and have a good understanding of what happens daily in the current system. This will make your transition to Zenoti much easier. We recently rolled out Zenoti to a second, smaller salon and the process was smooth and quick.

Pros

The functionality of Zenoti is extremely deep. This means if you are looking for a function, it probably exists. The online booking is amazing (as is our custom salon app from Zenoti). The onboarding process was equally amazing and questions were answered quickly. We recently integrated Zenoti Payments and have been thrilled with it. The integration of all pieces and the marketing capability (SMS and Email) were the primary reasons we switched.

Cons

The extreme depth of the software can also be a curse when you are trying to find the solution to an issue. In most cases, it was just a setting I missed, but it can be frustrating when there are so many options. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have options and some difficulty vs no options and ease. In almost every case, an answer was provided by support quickly, so this con may be a personal issue. I'd agree with others who say Chat support struggles on complex scenarios, but tell me a software product that doesn't suffer the same issue. My complex issues always get elevated and I always get great service from the senior engineers.

Salon Ultimate was a workhorse for us for 5+ years and we pushed it to its limits. Our primary reason for switching was their lack of a great marketing component. Zenoti makes it much easier to roll out beautiful email campaigns and had SMS campaigns to boot, something Salon Ultimate did not. Like all software migrations, you will always have things you liked better about the 'other' system, but as we dig deeper into Zenoti, those things are losing attention. We've also used SalonBiz and Rosy in the past but nothing compares function-wise to Zenoti.

### "Great for managing multiple salons!"

It was fantastic. The beginning phase of it was extremely all about sales which was hard because i am very "get to the point" and there was slight miscommunication on some things we thought we were going to be able to do that we didn't end up gaining access to due to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] not having the right information. But again, very minimal when it comes to all the great things we gained! Our onboarding & development team was AMAZING. We scheduled frequent calls and they were completely on target with our launch date and they were honestly so amazing. I talk to them so much they started to feel like family and I am truly going to miss them! Everything on Zenoti's end between the onboarding, development and then our Customer Success manager after going live, it was all so great an organized! They are truly there to give you anything you need and they will spend all the time needed with you to help you!

Pros

Something that I loved about Zenoti is how custom you can make it. We are a 5 location business where all of our employees work at all of our salons. Cutting down the time when it comes to running reports & running payroll has made a dramatic difference in my day to day use. Also for our salon coordinators, there are so many features that took away tons of their daily tasks because the system does it automatically. Now it has freed up more of their time to focus on being more available on the phones & helping with retention projects. Also, If your someone like me that doesn't have time to sit on hold for hours waiting for a customer service personal to get on the phone to answer questions , then Zenoti will be great for you because you have access to a 24 hour chat box that someone replies within minutes!

Cons

I would say there is any cons that make a huge difference for me? I look at it as I gained so many benefits that the little things that confused me are not a big deal. The one thing that doesn't make sense to our business personally is the way the invoices operate, once an appointment is created, its considered an ope invoice. If someone "no shows" and your staff isn't on it when it comes to no showing or cancelling them, That invoice will stay open & effect payroll. Again, not a big deal as long as you have a staff that is on top of their duties, it shouldn't be an issue (:

The sales, transition, development and support team are PHENOMENAL! At no point in our interactions did I feel dismissed, unheard or misunderstood. I felt confident with them the minute I spoke with their sales team and I have that same confidence post launch. Any issues we had were addressed and resolved the same day!

Pros

Overall the software has many features and capabilities that can be easily customized to fit your business. This software is like the "Amazon" of booking software for salons and spas and a must have if you operate multiple locations. At present I can't and don't use all of the features but I love that I have the opportunity to grow into the use of the software and still expand my business in future. I loved the onboarding process the most as it had in depth training videos and how to articles on virtually every feature offered; and what I couldn't find or didn't understand the 24/7 support team addressed personally.

Cons

So far, I don't have any dislikes about the program. There's a very steep learning curve when it comes to using this software but with daily use, I'll become an old hand at it in due time. The amount of settings this system has is incredible!

Reason for choosing ZENOTI

Zenoti offered more capabilities, features and options for salon growth over their competitors. The final selling point was being able to customize the product to have the same look, feel, tone and vibes of my brand and be easily integrated into our web based current systems.

I wanted to switch from Square to Zenoti because I needed to streamline the reservation experience for our clients and create a centralized database for our employees. Square is great if you are a solo practitioner but once you have employees and multiple locations you've got to switch to a more advanced and dynamic software created specifically for your industry. Since Zenoti is specifically for the spa and salon industry, it was a no brainer switch from Square, which I in my opinion prioritizes retail and restaurants clients.

### "not a good time"

It is July 7th I signed my contract the beginning of April with Zenoti. I researched and I did demos with alot of companies and this had the most features relevant to my salon for the best price. it has been a complete and total nightmare. like I am so frustrated and I have already made the decision that it is not fixable and I need to switch. they insist on using Microsoft meets and doing video calls. their schedule and availability is so limited and basically on my 3 busiest days. it has never worked properly for one day. I am not computer illiterate. ive used a few programs in my 11 years working in salons and 3 years owning one. I made my own shopify website -- which isnt that hard but a lot of people cant. usually I am able to figure out the program I am using and do everything on my own. this is not the case. there are always issues and then ill go into the settings and try to figure out where the issue is and I end up detrimentally ruining more stuff that can't be taken back. which is insane and ive never had these issues on other softwares. my online booking has been down for a week twice. we get around 100 bookings a week that are usually online booking.. those have been lost appts or a massive amount of phone calls and messages for me and my staff. their zenoti university is lengthy and not helpful as the program is different if you're on computer/phone or tablet. essentially there are 3 versions you need to learn. if you're not a software programmer don't do it.

Pros

The ceo of the company called me and he was really nice and I think he honestly did want to help me and give me a better experience.. I dont think his team was able to. for all the features it was definitely the best price.

Cons

onboarding takes months customer service is in India and scheduling is limited with them. I would tell them an issue I had multiple clients having and they'd say they tried it and its working.. well half my clients are having this issue so something is up.everything is very complicated. schedule would look different depending on computer/phone/iPad

Pros

It's very hard to narrow it down, when you put all the features together as a package, it's simply top notch!! From the appointment book, ability to go from center to center for our customers and our team members to help each other out it's just simply a game changer! To top it off having a Success Manager that is willing to meet with you regularly to enhance your business using Zenoti features simply tops it all off!

Cons

The only thing I didn't like was the onboarding process, it was a little clunky but once I stated that it was, my onboarding person took my requests and ran with it.

My experience has been very positive for the overall business and I pertain the salons growth and success largely to Zenoti tools, which are continuously being improved and upgraded. The system is user friendly with exceptional support 24/7.

Pros

Ease of setup and integration with excellent support.

Cons

Some processes could be simplified for user ex. Email template designs and image bank usage. Some features like payments not available for Cyprus, my territory, but understandable as I believe I am still the only user here. Sharing of client feedback to social media story or posts would be great.

Reason for choosing ZENOTI

Free demo call demonstrated Zenotis' product, tools and customer care well. Pricing was very reasonable.

### "Love this product"

I have been using Zenoti with 2 different companies I have worked with and I love it. It has some issues as you will find with any CRM/EHR, but they are constantly making updates and rolling out improvements. The main reason that we are with Zenoti today is that they have the best reporting that fit our needs as a business and are able to make custom reports for us. As a new company, this is our 3rd EHR and we are here to stay. We feel that Zenoti will remain a fit for us no matter how large we grow and they give us the reporting tools we need to grow.

Pros

Pros - Robust reporting & API integration

Cons

Cons - Organization of EMR charting, including photos and settings are difficult to navigate through, needing help from support frequently, being forced to use their credit card processor with high fees, no e-prescribe option.

### "Great UI and marketing tools"

We made the switch to Zenoti two years ago after reviewing several competing software platforms. While changing software is never easy, Zenoti’s customer service team was better than expected during implementation. Since that change, I’ve been impressed with Zenoti’s features & overall UI. Before Zenoti, our marketing campaigns didn’t reside within our software and we didn’t have the capability of target segments. Zenoti’s marketing capabilities and analytics have broadened our reach and provide us guest retention tools that we didn’t have before. Zenoti’s response to technical issues or UI questions have always been prompt. Having an assigned customer success manager who has engaged in our needs and success, is just another reason why I would recommend Zenoti to any company.

Pros

Zenoti’s customer service team, Zenoti’s features & overall UI. Zenoti’s marketing capabilities and analytics, guest retention tools.

Cons

cross center guest management a bit difficult at times and sometimes multiple profiles get created when one already exists. But this does not affect POS and a merging guest feature can be used,

I think overall the experience has been good. It is quite a process. I feel that having a complete sandbox system to navigate, before the setup is started would be EXTREMELY helpful. It would have saved so much time on my part and on the Senior Specialist time having to make corrections once our site went live.

Having the help of \[sensitive content hidden\], the Senior Setup Specialist. With our old system we did not have as much support during the setup process.

Cons

What I like least about Zenoti is needing to switch between the organization view and center view during implementation was extremely confusing.

### "Great Medical Spa Software"

Pros

We looked at a lot of different practice management/pos systems before making the switch to Zenoti for our medical spa. We have been using Zenoti for 8+ months now. Zenoti has a solid understanding of the medical spa industry which made making the change even more appealing. The planning and implementation took A LOT of planning, coordination, and work for us as well as Zenoti. But considering the quantity of our data (16+ years’ worth) getting converted/imported into Zenoti and the complexity of our offerings we knew it was bound to be a big undertaking. The implementation team was super sharp and helpful, (especially Radhika). We couldn’t have done it without the implementation team and the sharp people working with them behind the scenes. They seemed to go above and beyond sometimes, which was very impressive and different than other software vendors we’ve worked with. To me that speaks volumes about where I see their product changing and getting even better over time. They do listen to their customers.

Cons

One thing that would be good is to have options for their merchant credit card fees so that we could get a more competitive rate. Their reporting could be better, but they have made big strides in the time we have been using the program and it seems like they are continuing to make more positive changes. I would also like to see more integrations with other systems to enhance their system.

Overall I have had a wonderful experience with Zenoti. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for software that is an all in one. Charting, pictures, texting, consents, inventory, payroll....it does it all.

Pros

Zenoti has been an amazing addition to our medical spa. From the very beginning I had a designated support rep, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], that made the on-boarding process a breeze. I have recently been working with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] on our smart marketing. The results have proven to be an a game changer for our business.

Cons

Zenoti can do everything and anything. If there is anything that I don't like it is not knowing how to use it to its full capability. Over time I am learning and the support team is always available to help.

Amazing. The software is so powerful. It truly gives shop owners so much more control, allowing for a thousand more revenue stream options.

Pros

I love the softwares ability to be customized to meet my stores needs. There are so many options available to make the software work for my business rather than me making my business work for the software. I also love my Customer Success Manager \[sensitive content hidden\]. He is so knowledgeable and helps me develop solutions to all of my requests.

Cons

Because there are so many ways to customize the software, I do find the UI to sometimes be overwhelming. I wish it was organized better. The load times for reports can sometimes be a little long. The knowledge base for self help could bee updated more often and organized better.

I would highly recommend zenoti. I worked mostly with Yogesh on the team and he was definitely my super hero during the process. He offered additional gelp and job aids and always checked in to make sure we were doing well

Pros

I loved working with the project team. There was alot of onfo to lewrn but they were so helpful and patient with every question during the transition

Cons

Its a bittersweet issue... there was sooo much information but that was becaise it was a completely new system we got to build from the ground up
