September 12, 2017 5.0 I like that I'm able to see what is due for the next few weeks. Deadline are really useful, and the invoicing section is great. I especially love the time tracking clock. Pros I like that BigTime workflow's is very up to dates with their software. They did a great job implementing tools that help small businesses to manage their daily tasks. Cons I wish the main screen that shows all the engagements and information would be bigger. Adding more filed expanded the screen. I just don't like having to use another toolbar. Regarding your comment about only being able to collect the full balance on invoices, you can actually can invoice for partial billings, if you are using our Fixed Fee Invoicing! After much research, it was clear they were the best match for our time tracking need as well as the ease of use with QuickBooks. We can now create personalized and professional looking Invoices for our clients, as well as easily track budgets for projects. It is unending the tasks BigTime can assist our company with, and I am looking forward to continuing to learn the many ways it can help our company be a great success. Pros Ease of use for time tracking and with QuickBooks. Cons It is very hard to get a hold of customer service. If you are in dire need of help, all you can do is leave a voicemail or send an email and wait for someone to contact you with help. Not very good for business who is in need of immediate assistance. Pros Super Easy to learn, configure and use. The Onboarding resources provide training specific to how we use BigTime. Support is available online, live chat or by phone. Integration with QuickBooks has saved time and steps in our daily workflow. Cons There is no manual to walk through configuration or for quick reference in routine troubleshooting. The Knowledgebase tool is helpful but doesn't cover everything. Stopping in the middle of a key process- such as monthly invoicing- to watch a YouTube video is not conducive to workflow. Handles accounting, project management, time and expense tracking, scheduling, progress reporting - all integrated and visible to everyone you want to see the information on your team. She was extremely helpful and listened to my questions. I'm excited for the next training seminar with her. I realized all lot of things that I wish we'd had from the beginning. It would have made the transition less stressful, etc. Several times most of us were ready to dump this software but she helped in restoring some confidence. Customer support has been lacking in getting back in a timely manner so I'm hopeful that will change. Customer support from her, initial training was a 10. Pros That I finally found Customer support representative to help with the software! It's been an absolute nightmare with the transition. I like that at least some of the information from QuickBooks integrates with BigTime. Cons Getting help when we needed it. It's not very user friendly. There are a lot more steps to this process. More information needs to be able to integrate from QuickBooks to BigTime and vis a versa. For instance, previous balance in QuickBooks, contact information and also payments made through either QuickBooks or BigTime. Review Source CM Chris M. Used the software for: ### "Not simple for administrators" March 9, 2017 3.0 The support staff was very helpful, she explained and fixed all my questions and that took time. But BigTime IQ Pro may be easy for an employee to record time and a project manager to track projects but from an administrator view point, it's not easy. When an employee forgets to enter a variable it has to be tracked so it can post to QB. The reporting requires tutoring, you can't just plug in a few numbers, select a few variables and get your result. There are many little nuances to learn and it's very confusing. Like why do I have to 'Copy' a report every time I edit it - why can't I just Save it? The linking with QB isn't simple either. Sometimes a job posts, sometimes there's one little button clicked that shouldn't be. Then there's all the duplication of projects every time you post to QB. Figuring out the integration of the two systems is a slow process. Again, she was very helpful and eventually I'll learn the system but it will be a long slow process, just like the old program. Josh and Brea were amazing - couldn't have asked for more. I waited far too long to make a switch to job costing software. I looked for months. When I cam across Big Time, I pulled the trigger, hoping it would turn out. I love it. We have access to key information that took WAY too long to compile previously. Pros Customizing reports - it's simple, yet there is a ton of data from which I can pull. Cons There seems to be lots of "quick fixes" in the software, like random buttons. I'm sure an overhaul is due soon...PLEASE prepare me for it. Don't just lay it on me. Allow me time to adjust - include me in the beta. Review Source HH Harry H. We are still using the old version, and don't have experience with the new version. Bigtime technical support is excellent. Architect Architecture & Planning Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Easy to use and generate report" November 7, 2016 4.0 We have been using Bigtime for almost two years. It made submitting time sheet and track work progress very easy. Cons The mobile version is sometimes confusing. It does not seem to update automatically. I have been signing out and signing back in to get the timesheet update and it would be great to skip this step. The other part I find it a little confused was the projects that have been classified as "completed". There are times I still like to generate report and see our time performance about the past completed project. As a new user to any administrative software, I found it easy to pick up. Cons No way to customize invoice reports (column width), no way to organize custom reports, not intuitive to have N/C items left off of invoices. Chat option was not helpful, no immediate response and I was logged off. The submit buttons on the bottom of the screen are too small and look like more text and not the submit button. She was thorough, patient, and friendly, which is good because the software is fairly complex.
