### "Easy and Fast time entry"

It is a huge improvement from what we were using before. It takes me about a quarter of the time it used to take me to enter my time with the previous system.

Pros

It is very easy to use BigTime. We have been using it for over 3 years at our company and it is much simpler and faster to complete our time entry by project. I especially like the weekly entry mode that looks like a simple table where I can easily spot a client, enter my time and comments within seconds.

Cons

By biggest concern with BigTime is not forgetting to submit it on a regular basis, it's so easy to use that it's always open and I do my entry as I go. Because of this, I have to remind myself not to submit my time once in a while.

It has been a straightforward and streamlined experience working in BigTime and I have had no major issues.

Pros

I like the easy user interface, and the fact that I can quickly select projects and phases. I also appreciate being able to reference past timesheets so I can see what I worked on in the past. Anytime I have had an issue their customer support has been helpful.

Cons

It would be more helpful (for me) if things were slightly more color coded, and I've seen other interfaces that show things to team members such as utilization rates, remaining money in budget (things which my team may choose to only share with project managers).

I use BigTime for a couple of needs. I enter my hours worked on different projects. It is easy to use the search tool to find projects to add to my time sheet. I can then easily enter hours worked. Also, I have used it to create and run reports to view my hours or the hours for my team.

BigTime is very dependable, quick, and easy to use. Employees can find projects, enter hours worked, create and view reports. It meets the needs of our company very well.

Cons

I actually do not have any cons for BigTime. It meets all of my needs. It consistently works well and quickly for me to enter hours worked on projects, or view reports to see hours for employees or teams.

Very successful overall! Takes some time to get integrated into all of the details, but worth it! \[sensitive content hidden\] and their implementation team was excellent!

Pros

Everything for business management all in one place! (Time tracking, invoicing, planning, etc). It is easy to use for management and team members alike!

Cons

Visuals/Graphics for reports is not as interesting as some other options we've used in the past. BigTime foresights add on has much better UI for the reports/metrics.

Our company used BigTime before, and I really miss it compared to the new CRM. One of the best parts about BigTime is that it would save all your entries so you don't have to constantly be updating it with the same information. The categories were also more straightforward and easier to navigate

Cons

It would have been nice to have the entries be that much more user friendly. Maybe have options to mark a client/entry as optional so I don't have to erase categories. Also allow click and drag to move entries.

The ease of use and friendly UI stands out. Navigations are self explanatory. The quick links are easy.

Cons

Its wait time when you submit a task. The wait time kills its features. Expenses tab can be more innovative.

Pros

I use BigTime to enter all my hours worked on a project for a client as a contractor. BigTIme is easy to use to enter my time each day and keep track of total hours billed to projects.

I wish I could easily duplicate my time entered from previous weeks or months. When entering my time for each day, it becomes tedious when repeating myself.

We just implemented Bigtime on February 1st, 2024. So far our experience has been great. Implementation was smooth and we received good support from our implementation manager, \[sensitive content hidden\]. Having been live for 6 months we are seeing the benefits and tweaking our setup and reports to get the best out of the product.

Pros

Customization of reports, ease of setting up projects and invoicing. Getting data out of the system for analysis and firm health is very accessible.

Cons

I really wish the Dashboards were more customizable. At this point they aren't giving us the snapshot we need for our firm.

We put together a Focus group and demo'd 6 products. Looked at multiple areas. Checking boxes to see which could meet our needs the most. Bigtime came out on top as the system with the most matches to our unique firm needs.

We have been SO very impressed with the quality of the Bigtime product. I cannot imagine operating our CPA practice without it. Our bottomline has improved through the use of Bigtime.

I have no Cons. We have not done very good on integrating Bigtime with Quickbooks but that is more of a Con for our Accounting team and not a reflection on the Bigtime product

Our firm is very happy with Big Time. We have been using the software for almost three years and it has evolved nicely into a very important tool in our daily use. We use it for project time tracking, budgeting, task management, and invoice prep and tracking - it meets a great need for us!

Pros

Big Time has been a terrific tool for our firm to track time on our projects. The software has been easy to learn and navigate. I have been able to create specific reports that best meet our tracking needs. We also use it for project management, budgeting, and invoice preparation and tracking.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about Big Time. From customer support to online Knowledge Base, the answers to most questions can be found easily. The training and follow up support has been top notch. We are very happy with Big Time!

I feel like this is a legacy government contractor software that people have to use because it has certain features that others don’t, but it’s very clunky and clumsy

Pros

The app on the phone is a big improvement, I still find the views totally confusing, especially for running reports or getting to project details. It feels like it’s been weirdly customized.

Cons

It’s very hard to find certain views and screens when you want to report on projects and look up time. The most useful screen put often buried behind eight or nine different steps to get there.

I haven't worked with other programs, but overall my experience with BigTime has been very good.

Pros

BigTime time and expense entry for specific job/tasks is easy for users. Invoice creation using the time and expenses entered is seamless, yet flexible. Once invoices have been emailed to my clients I can easily track my client's activity to ensure that the invoice has been viewed. If my email transmission has failed I get a notification.There are plenty of webinars available to use for self-guided learning. Also, there are live webinars for new users to gain knowledge about BigTime. Reading the blog posts is helpful too.BigTime support has been very helpful if I reach out with any issues. I recently worked with \[sensitive content hidden\] for over an hour to solve an issue. He was very patient and was determined to solve my problem during our call.

Cons

There are a few hiccups with taxation for Canadian users. BigTime has been working on improving these features.I would like to see more options for invoice PDF templates so that the invoices are better looking.I really struggle with customizing BigTime reports when any of the standard reports don't meet my needs.There are a few issues with syncing to QBO, but BigTime support staff have been helpful in trying to resolve these issues.

Overall, BigTime is effective and does what we need it to do. We are happy with it. Customer Support is also really good. They are helpful, patient, and thorough.

Pros

BigTime has all the features we need to track time and expenses and automate billing. Forecasting and utilization tools are also great features which allow us to better manage staffer availability so clients are covered and staffer's aren't over worked. Reporting and analytics are very good, though there are some reporting features that could be improved

Cons

There are some idiosyncrasies that can get tiresome; date ranges disappear constantly when drafting invoices; there are features that have an adverse effect on rate population if not used properly, some internal functions clash if entered (or not entered) in multiple places, online tutorials could be better, live chat can take a very long time - i have noticed that upgrading to Premier has helped - the wait is now no more than a few minutes.

Automating, improving, and reducing time and cost required to process weekly time and expense. Providing reporting and audit-ability across the entire process with a few button clicks vs having to sort through manual data collection templates.

Pros

Overall, we have been very happy with BigTime and its use in support of our field consultants. Our production implementation went smoothly and their staff provided helpful training and support to assist us with our launch. In addition, we have been very pleased with the configurability of the platform - just about every time we wanted to do something a certain way, for example how we wanted to display the form for our field's timesheet data entry, there was a way to configure the system to our liking. Also, we have been very impressed with the speed of the system and the design of the user interface. It's very responsive, easy to use, and everything is laid out intuitively. Also, the Reporting module is very comprehensive and it provides a way to pull data just about any which way one could want. BigTime has also been responsive and helpful in helping to support us when certain custom reports were required and we needed some guidance. Special thanks to both CSRs for their support with our implementation.

Cons

We have no outstanding support tickets currently and we have only seen a few small glitches but once we bring them to the vendors attention there is usually a way to correct it or some type of acceptable workaround. As far as suggested areas we think they can improve upon, one would be having the ability to set up to send specific invoices to multiple customer contacts on the To: line. Another area for improvement is sometimes the bill rate isn’t pulled into the invoicing module consistently so we have to re-enter all the rates in that particular project code. As far as platform enhancements to make BigTime even better, we have suggested the ability to enhance the Allocations module so a manager can forecast a resource across multiple projects within the same or multiple accounts from the same screen/grid. Today this must be done via clicking into each project in the Project List section which is time consuming and a little clunky. This would be huge for us since we have a number of consultants who work on multiple projects across a given week/month/etc. Another enhancement would be to provide easy-to-pull reports that show a consultants profitability (revenue generated minus cost) across a given date range. This is not currently doable with the platform, but all the data is there since the system maintains both bill rate and cost-level information. We are hoping these items make their way onto the product roadmap here in the relative near future.

### "Easy entry of time and expenses using Bigtime"

Companies who bill their customers by the hour and have different hourly rates for different types of work can benefit greatly from using BigTime. Time and expenses can be entered by employees and reviewed by managers before being sent to the client for billing. It's convenient that you may log your time and expenses from any device, be it a desktop computer, laptop, or mobile phone.

Pros

BigTime is the program we use for tracking time, managing expenses, and sending out invoices. Using QuickBooks as our primary accounting software has its advantages, and one of those is that BigTime can sync up with QuickBooks during the day to make sure that the two are always up to date.

Cons

The approval screen does not currently allow for invoices to be filtered by Team Lead, so all Team Leads have access to all invoices rather than just their own. It's not easy to modify your own report, therefore we typically have to contact support for assistance.

### "Easy to use software with great customer support"

As I've said above, fee tracking and time tracking have really tightened up for our company thanks to BigTime. We're able to know the health of our projects in one click with a report.

Pros

Our small business needed a platform to help us accurately track the financial health of our projects. We moved to BigTime from QuickBooks Online because we needed deeper control of our time entries and fee tracking. The Report Center really leverages the data entered into the system so that at a push of a button your data is organized and presented in an easy to understand report. Custom reports are a great feature, and with the help of the support team you can create whatever report your company needs. Thanks to BigTime we've been able to track the health of our projects with precision, and the overall health of our company has BigTime to thank. Everyone we've worked with at BigTime (\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]) have been extremely friendly and helpful whenever we've come to them with a problem or request.

Cons

As BigTime has grown over the years they've taken their users suggestions to heart. If a feature isn't currently active on BigTime it most likely is in the pipeline for future integration. We've seen our suggestions turn into real features throughout the duration of our use of the platform which is always great to see when companies listen to their customers. Sometimes the reporting center isn't as intuitive as you'd like it to be, but with a little help from their support team they can help custom build your reports with you.

The training was really amazing. And the capabilities made it well worth the switch from Productive.

The customization and the ability to track just about anything you want for project management, profitability and invoicing. And the integration with Quickbooks.

Cons

I wish more fields were customizable. The handful that they allow you to rename are great, but more would be better! I wish there was a 45 day training session to ask questions that arise after using for a bit.

Reason for choosing BigTime

I was not part of the research that was done. I was given the final choice to test and work with the sale rep to ensure that it performed the way we needed it to. If I was not happy we would have gone back to the drawing board. But, I know one of our main objectives is to track project profitability and this is so far doing what we needed it to do.

The best approach to keep track of many projects' time and expenditures. Invoicing is also a breeze because to the platform's user-friendly interface. I can view all of my projects and team members in this platform, and we can all manage everything together. The Bigtime team's assistance is also a big plus in my book.

Pros

It's a piece of software that performs exactly what it's supposed to and does it well. The process of implementation was quite fair, and the accompanying customer service was excellent. Time tracking and the ability to divide it into other sections if necessary. For numerous projects, I've taken use of the platform's ability to develop custom reports, which have been useful.

Cons

BigTime doesn't always communicate to itself, so you have to dig a little further to find the answer you're looking for. In addition, I've used BigTime's "help" option and spoken with a live person who was able to diagnose my difficulties immediately away.
