Just stated using BigTime this month for time tracking, budget tracking and invoicing. Did training with customer support representative. She has been a wonderful resource to reach out to. After going though both sessions of training we came across some issues that we didn't come up while training and the cust care representative was able to walk us though the processes smoothly. I am finally getting a handle on the BigTime software and am looking forward to really exploring all its possibilities in the future.

Cons

I have experienced sync issues with QuickBooks. This is a result of my not understanding the proper setup of new matters in QuickBooks and BigTime.

Pros: easy to synch with desktop QB Pro customer file, track hours by projects either using desktop pc via web or mobile device, posting hours back to QB was smooth that made getting QB invoices out to clients a snap, BigTime reports are flexible and really matched the needs and their customer service rep. helped from the point of sign-up with helpful screenshots specific to the monthly business cycle. Very pleased with this app and the support team behind it! Cons: can't think of any.

It's such a great piece of software. We used Excel spreadsheets to keep track of our time before this, and it was a nightmare for a web consultancy firm with a lot of projects going on. BigTime's app really helped us in being more effective in our billable hours. There are a couple of small bugs that you need to refresh to fix, but other than that, it was great. The amount of value it added to our business outweighed the minor bugs, which we can see are being addressed. Cheers guys!

I've found this system to be user-friendly, especially when it comes to reporting. I like that I can now run a report for billing and timekeeping that previously had to be done manually via spreadsheet. Saves me a ton of time!

BigTime is relatively easy to use and for end users to adopt. However, some of the administrative functions are a bit hidden and hard to notice but overall the value for the money is great. The mobile app is a work in progress, but once the app is more refine it will no doubt be useful tool for the end user. The on-boarding session with BigTime support is great. It is very informative and useful. The support team is helpful and quick at responding technical inquiries.

Looking for a better way to track time in QuickBooks and provide means for employees to enter time online from anywhere. Big Time fit the bill perfectly. Setup and integration easy, time tracking and reporting is easy. Customer Service has been great for making sure we are running smoothly. Their sync product to Quickbooks is superior to what Intuit had and has been working very well. Very effective and economical product. Employees use with ease.

Overall, this software helps to streamline projects!

Pros

This is a great mobile timesheet app. It tracks every hour spent on a project and helps to track everything that each person is doing. It’s great.

Cons

The only thing I dislike is that the older engineers have trouble with it. I wish it was a little more user-friendly.

More work to set up then expected- Feel we really didn't get good training to start and feel like we are playing catch up now.

Ease for resources to submit time and expenses

Cons

Doesn't seem to flow very well from one place to the next- I would prefer interactive reports and an easier way to get the reports that I am looking for. The training for the reports was awful

BigTime has a ton of functionality that is great for our timekeeping and invoicing needs, but the software can be a bit daunting to use. After using for a four months, we are still figuring out how the software works and have to frequently go back and edit entries we discover are incorrect through trial and error. That said, we are lightyears ahead of our old timesheet tracking method. Quickbooks integration is also a huge plus.

Pros

Ease of use, and smart chart for time input. The clarity of the presentation is helpful, as is the live tabulation at the bottom and sides. It is a great way to see the development of time and project allocation on a daily basis.

Cons

Automatic reorganization of line items. It would preferable to be able to reorganize these by the user.

Pros

The program is easy to use, integrates effortlessly (once it is set up) and allows me to capture all my time. BigTime support staff has been AMAZING at helping me solve some weird nuances that have occurred as a result of setting up a few different mock companies as a test.

Cons

Maybe some ability to track actual time of day, work was completed (a daytimer of sorts) that would allow one to drag appointment times out on a daily calendar. Although, this may also detract from the simplicity of it all too.

Pros

The program is intuitive and quick to set up. Our employees were able to get up and running after a one hour training session

Cons

The support provided is poor. They have a horrible support phone system that they seems like an issue with VOIP. They do not respond to emails promptly. When we found some bugs in the software, they said that they have made a note of it, but they have not fixed them in several weeks. This affects the performance of the program based on the category you give each project.

We have recently transitioned to BigTime and Quickbooks from a historical system using a conglomeration of softwares for time, billing, accounting and project tracking. Big Time has alot of flexibility and options for setting up the system to meet our companies needs. The support during the setup phase has been very well structured and useful in answering our questions and getting us rolling.
