Mary Pat Holtrop responded to my email for support this morning about a pesky problem. She investigated my problem and went beyond to see what else might be an issue after I fixed the initial problem. She was quick to respond, gave me a clear explanation of the problem, and specific instructions about how to fix it and how to deal with the changes for time already submitted. Wow!

Pros

It's very easy for all of our team members to enter their time. With our prior system, employees sent their time sheets to an admin person who then had to enter it into our system. Really like the ability to enter time from anywhere either online or through the mobile app.

Cons

So far we have no complaints. It would be nice if the iPad app version allowed for full week view when entering time similar to the website layout.

Ability to keep up with time spent on each project and on over head.

Pros

Pretty easy to use and figure out yourself. When needed Customer Service is amazing. Quick to respond. The set up demos that are included for new users are very helpful for the things I could not figure out how to do myself.

Cons

There really aren't too many Cons. I would say the biggest one is there is not a super easy way to budget for Sub Consultants in BigTime.

Pros

The ease of use and the compatibility with QuickBooks Saves employees hours a week not having to hand-write time sheets, and saves me hours a week being able to review and correct them on the computer without having to enter and re-enter

Cons

I wish it was not so much more expensive to add the employee expenses to our current subscription I would like for our employees to be able to enter expenses in bigtime rather than giving me monthly expense reports

We have been using the BigTime system for a few months now to record our billable hours, and so far the transition onto this system has had minimal headaches in terms of ease of use and learning how to enter in our time. I still need to explore the rest of its functionality (reports, etc), more, but am pleased thus far.

Pros

We've found very easy to use, and well laid out. It seems that the developers have thought of most user needs and when not built into the standard setup, they have provided an easy way to customize. It's clear that this is a well established product and that the support team is committed to us as an end user.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind right now. We are still setting it up and implementing it for use with our employees.

We have been a longtime customer of Bigtime's so the latest version of Bigtime is a 200% improvement over the last Enterprise version. It is very easy to use and Customer Support is very helpful when needed. We believe the IQ version is going in a great direction as new features come out.

Pros

Ease of use for everyone and especially distributed company.

Cons

Cost always can be improved, but would like a little more flexibility on reports.

We found BigTime to be a good time tracking software for our small engineering consulting firm. We are able to set up specific customers and project numbers and it is easy to use the web interface to enter time. The linking to our Quickbooks Desktop Professional works well.

It is a user-friendly way to keep track of time.

Pros

I like being able to select different styles of viewing the timesheet. The weekly view works best for me, but it's nice to have options. Overall, I think it is an easy software to use.

Cons

I do not get automatically notified if my timesheet has been rejected. There may be a feature for this, but it isn't readily available.

Pros

It syncs with Quickbooks to provide easy invoicing to clients and allows you to invoice by time on individual items per client.

Cons

I haven't looked into this much so it may already be a feature, but I would love a small start/stop timer + client that stayed in the top corner of my desktop so I didn't have to open the app itself. Minor, but it would be nice.

Pros

I love how incredibly helpful they are. They do not leave you hanging when you have a question. They make sure you fully understand the product and they will work with you until you do. The training's are so personable and I love how they are one on one. The product itself is so useful and easy to use.

Cons

You have to submit an email for support and sometimes it takes a while for a response.

I used Ebillity for a number of years. Things frequently went wrong and their customer service was terrible. I switched to Big Time several months ago. I rarely have any problems. When I do, I can get someone to fix it immediately.
