Overall, we have loved our experience with Campsite. We have considered switching to other platforms, and they are much more pricey and don't provide that much more in terms of operations.

Pros

I love the value for the cost of CampSite. The user interface on the administrative end is very simple and easy to figure out. Additionally, their support team is fantastic and very quick to help resolve any issues my team faces.

Cons

The app adaptation process has taken longer than normal. Recently, Campsite acquired MyCampApp, and it has taken some time for the app to be integrated with the software. MyCampApp is not up to par with Campsite's standards, in my opinion.

Pros

Cons

There wasn't much not dislike about Campsite, I found it's interface to be very easy to use and it's helped me streamline processes.

Overall, I've had a great experience with campsite as a user and now the administrator for our program. It is easy to use, clear with design choices, and provides many benefits. The support team is quick to respond with any issue we've encountered.

Pros

Campsite provides a robust system for enrollment management, data collection, and information hub for our programs. It is simple to set up a new acquired program in our portfolio alongside existing, and we can see a full history of our accounts, some campers from back in 2017! Campsite's pros for our company is the ease of access for our guardians, form integration, payment processing, and enrollment management. Our team likes the customization of reports and vastness of data collection the most - it helps us to understand what our families are looking for, what they need in each region, and easy access to shift reports through multiple demographic groups.

Cons

For us, our campsite account does hold a large amount of data and users - so our response times can be quite slow if we're all utilizing at the same time. I don't fault campsite as much as our own programs for that. A previous con would have been the external payment processors, but Campsite has since integrated more into their platform - the ability to be able to see those reports alongside normal campsite reports was wonderful when it was live - we hope it comes back!

I have been extremely pleased with Campsite. The customer service is excellent. Parents feedback about the enrollment process has been positive and staff feedback about the application process has been positive.

Pros

I have been using Campsite since 2015 and am very happy with it. I use it for camper enrollment and staff applications. Both parents and staff give positive feedback about their experience. Also, customer service is excellent. It was very easy to transitition from my previous camp managment software to Campsite.

Cons

Campsite allows parents to create an account and access it year to year so it allows for easy of enrollment for returning families. For new families, the application is very easy to cmplete. For staff, I can accept application, track progess through the screening and hiring process and once hired, I can do onboarding via Campsite. This simplifies my hiring and onboarding. Campsite has a text message feature which allows me to more easily commincate with both camp famlies and staff.

### "Best Customer Service Team Around!"

We are overall very happy with CampSite and have been for 10 years.

Pros

It is a reliable platform that we have had minimal issues on boarding our customer families onto. It handles many of the trickiest parts of camp registration (medical forms, parent communication, multiple enrollment years) with ease. Working with their support is also a pleasure to walk through any questions or concerns we have. In our experience they have always been incredibly prompt.

Cons

That the modules don't all interface -- specifically, we have a custom activity form that does not help us to popular the program module, which makes for a lot of manual work. It can be cumbersome for first time users, and the admin side notation abilities do not have enough permission levels -- we'd like people to be able to view but not add, or to add but not delete, but its all or nothing. We have to use a separate platform for groups/conference registrations, but would love if they someday could be integrated. The current offerings are not robust enough for our needs.

Customer Service is phenomenal and they have been able to suggest workaround for a handful of things the site doesn't quite have exactly as we need it.

All the different modules that let us manage campers, staff, documents, medicals, finance, and now even donors for non-profits! Nothing is worse than having to spread out your operations to different platforms, the best thing about CampSite is that it is all in one, and they are constantly adding new features and modules that change with the times and new technologies and media.

Pros

The modules, the advanced reports, the invoicing and billing system, the forms, really everything!

Cons

Nothing really I could say that I like least about CampSite.

The team at CampSite goes above and beyond to provide a highly functional and useful service for its clients and users. They spent hours upon hours with my team when we signed on to make sure that this system would work for us and all of our "quirks" - we couldn't ask for a better experience and it goes a long way!

Pros

CampSite has allowed our organization to keep our own application, enrollment, and management processes while at the same time enhancing the way we run those processes. There is a great balance between allowing for a high level of customization while also keeping things organized within the system. This balance coupled with a super-responsive team and professional, clean user portal has truly allowed us to operate our programs at a higher level than before. On top of that, our data reporting ability (and ease of use for staff who don't use CampSite daily) has impacted our fundraising ability (we are a non-profit).

Cons

There are 2 current aspects (that are fairly minor) that would be nice to have more flexibility on: the design of the Admin section of the site is still an older style of design - it would be nice for it to match what they still call the Beta design that has been around for a few years now (surely an ongoing process). There is also one un-customizable aspect called the Checkout page; my organization does not accept payment at the time of registration, so though we have been able to set up the system to work around this, the existence of it is still sometimes confusing to users.

### "Great Customer Service and the Software Always Works Well"

The customer service people are wonderful to deal with. They are typically very knowledgeable and helpful. The back end of the site is tedious but once you understand how it works, you can program it to do anything you want. And if you cannot figure it out, the support staff will do it for you.

Pros

What you get for the cost is exceptional. Their customer service is always extremely prompt and helpful. I get responses very quickly.

Cons

The user experience is not as slick as some of the more-expensive versions, although it does the job very well. For those who are not tech-savvy, on a mobile device a parent may not be able to find the menu bar even though it is there because it doesn't have the words MENU underneath the 3 little bars. So, they assume, the system does not work and call me to complain. The latest version is more attractive than it used to be. However, the gigantic blue tags box makes a lot of parents not bother to scroll down to look for options saying "there are no options for camps listed." It is certainly user error, but an issue nonetheless. Another issue I wish they would correct is that although you can sign one child up for as many camps as you would like, you cannot pick up another child during the process, select all of their camps, and pay for everything all at once. What happens to a family that has 3 children all enrolling in the same camps, because the cost is the same, it sometimes flags a fraud alert. Just charging them all at once would be so helpful. I would also like the option to allow anyone to purchase a credit - like a gift card with a number that can be given to anyone else. Not something we have to pay extra for, and not something we have to manage on the back end. A gift card or gift certificate. Like buying a gift card from Target. Anyone can use it, right? That's a missing element. Give us a University School of Jackson Gift Card purchase option on the main page.

Reason for choosing CampSite

It was cheaper and still did what I needed it to do, which was allow our parents to register securely online for the camps they wanted. We can actually put registration for anything on Campsite, even free items. We love that! Before we used a database on our website and it printed paper registration pages for me to deal with. When you have 800 registrations, that is bad. And, Active Network drove me insane with their sales calls. The Campsite folks are normal and do not hassle you. That was a big deal for me.

### "The Ease of Using CampSite"

My overall experience with CampSite has been very positive. This was my first summer at my camp and using CampSite helped make my life as a Director easier. I am still learning all there is to know about the platform and I am sure with regular use, I will be able to use CampSite to its best potential.

Pros

This was our first summer using CampSite and it made everyone from our camp families to the camp staff and our parent organization's lives exponentially much easier. This platform houses all the information required for our camp families so they only needed to go to one place to complete their registration and payment. In turn, we only had to go to one place to retrieve campers' information. In the past, we used multiple systems which had its own complications.

Cons

It is taking our camp staff some time to navigate all the features of CampSite. We need to use this platform more frequently to gain a better level of comfortability.

### "Excellent software for camp registration and staffing"

With multiple staff on the registration team, the advanced reports feature allows us to set up reports so that any one of us is able to monitor the progress of the many separate tasks others are working on, making our communication constant, clear, and accurate. One of the most valuable features of this software is the support team. They are always quick, professional, thorough, and a pleasure to work with. The development team is constantly upgrading and improving the product, not always in the exact area we are wanting or needing, but they do listen.

Pros

No software meets all the unique needs of each individual camp, but this software meets more than others we have used or tested. The Advanced Reports/Filters combinations allow us to access and manipulate our information in a quick and easy manner. The setup is very customizable, so that we can most of the time gather just the necessary information.

Cons

We are a large camp, so limitations of 1000 on both email and filters is often frustrating. There are several limitations - lack of conditional questions, easy to use events registration (but our events program is so flexible in pricing and registration changes that some of the problem stems from us not them), some hitches in the staff module. Still, overall we find it superior to all the other registration programs we have used or tested.

Look and ease of the software. Features we needed, especially the reports/filters. Cost. Attitude of the company.

### "Couldn't Run Our Camp Without Campsite!"

We started using Campsite about 5 yrs ago and it was a game changer for our summer day camp. We are easily able to track, communicate with and capture data for all of our campers, camp families and staff, which we were not able to do before. The transportation & attendance modules have cut my work on those areas in half and I can't imagine going through the process without it. I love that they are rolling out more mobile-friendly interfaces, as we are quickly moving our leadership team to mobile devices while out on camp. This is the first year we are using the Medical module, and so far we were able to change most of our process from paper forms to electronic, which is a real time-saver. Last, but not least, the people that work in their customer help desk are AWESOME. Always just a phone call or email away with a very rapid response time - that's crucial for me when camp season ramps up. We are extremely happy with Campsite, and the constant improvements made by their development team continue to make it better and better. I realize I'm starting to sound like an infomercial, but I swear I'm just a really satisfied customer!

Pros

The ever-evolving interfaces that are mobile-friendly, as well as the very customizable advanced reports. Also like the analytics for emails sent, however I wish I could easy re-send to people that never opened the email.

Cons

I need an attendance feature for staff. I also need better snapshot views of camper enrollment by week/division, as well as overall bus counts by week. There is no simple solution to either of these problems, so I have to resort to downloading advanced reports and creating my own pivot tables in excel. It's ridiculous that I have to do this! The email client is TERRIBLE and very user unfriendly. 90% of my communication with current and prospective families, as well as staff, is done by email BUT the ability to format the email with graphics, styles, etc. is ridiculously difficult and the source code is easily screwed up, which makes the email look extremely unprofessional in the end. It's truly embarrassing that I can't email a more higher quality communication to my customers. Constant Contact is a perfect example of what I should be able to do, but at a bare minimum it should be as friendly as gmail.

Pros

CampSite enabled us to scale our small nonprofit but simplifying the registration and participant management process. With Campsite we are able to register students as well as collect forms and payment in an efficient way.

Cons

Overall, I love Campsite. I think the user facing side could be improved especially with respect to making it easier for parents to navigate. In particular, having a way to customize directions for downloading and uploading forms would be helpful.

We are new to CampSite so our experience is limited. Overall, the software has met or exceeded our expectations.

Pros

It does not appear to be an Internet hog. We have poor internet at our camp and our financial software struggles but CampSite has not. We have been able to configure and customize CampSite for almost every existing business process. It was not without a lot of effort but we like the end result.

Cons

There needs to be an automatic population of spending money when money is provided through a registration option. There are several areas within the software that are not consistent. Some features available on the camper side are not available in the event side but should be available...it's all the same "stuff".

Campsite has been great! Especially for all the backend administrative work I do!

Pros

I like that a majority of our precamp work can be done using campsite. I love the advanced reports feature. You are able to add filters and fields to customize the reports you need. You can also save them and limit the viewing and editing permissions on each report.

Cons

Parts of the billing system were confusing in the beginning. There are a ton of resources under the FAQ or help center section to help navigate any difficulty. There are also great videos on youtube if you get really stuck!

### "CampSite is a Camp GAME-CHANGER!"

Overall, Campsite has been a refreshing experience. It's interface is clean and simple and you can tell that it was designed with a "camp director's eye". Their advanced reports allow the user to extract any information you want from the database and seamlessly execute emails, texts, transactions from that list! The new API capabilities ties into Google Docs which, to me, is a game changer. Their customer service is terrific - the team responds quickly and effectively to all tickets submitted to the database.

Pros

I think Campsite strongest feature is it's easy to use interface, not only as a Camp Director but from our parents perspective as well. I've received great feedback from our parents, specifically with respect to the ease of enrollment, photo viewing, phone call scheduling and the Campsite one-way email system. If my parents are happy, I'm happy - so to me that's an invaluable advantage.

Cons

None at this time - still learning all that this software can do!

We have been using CampSite to manage our summer day camps and programs throughout the year since 2016. This program has streamlined our registration process, helped us manage our information effectively and has allowed us to serve our customers much more efficiently and professionally. The CampSite support team has consistently provided prompt and helpful service, and has been very responsive in creating solutions to help us manage our unique programs.

Pros

CampSite is a professional and very user-friendly system. The support team has provided top-quality customer service, and has worked alongside our organization to help us set up and manage our programs in the way that works best for us. The program has been very well-developed to address all different facets of managing camp programs, from registration, to collecting payments, to managing information, to communications. I highly recommend this program.

The user interface is easy to learn and navigate. The administrator functionality is top-notch, both for the purposes of logistics/organization and reporting/analysis. We have a lot of campers who move from program to program, and it's very easy to initiate those changes on the backend, which creates a positive experience for the families we work it. The payment/financial features are also terrific.

Cons

While it's possible to export revenue (gross, discounted, adjusted, net) revenues to Excel on a program-by-program basis, and to manipulate them from there for program-wide totals, it would be preferable to be able to complete such analyses within CampSite before exporting, i.e. exporting should be solely for exporting, and not for financial totaling/analysis itself.
