Needs a minor tweak, but I'll use it again. Pros Overall I found the Galabid software easy to use. The automated checkout feature was handy. Cons There needs to be two post-auction screens - one a concise list of everything that did not sell and another that lists everybody who bought something and what they purchased. It's the 3rd time we've used it and it's been fantastic each time. Having the free (with tip option) this time has made the experience even better. Pros the online chat is excellent. the reporting features afterwards are great and the online auction features like all the extra details you can tweak and the comms functions are also excellent. Cons I can't see the reserve and current bid in my back end view. I can either see bids on each item, but not what the reserve is or I can see the reserve but can't see what the bids are at. I don't want to have to download a report to see these details side by side. July 21, 2026 5.0 Just super easy to work with, the raffle and silent auction features is what we used the most. Once you've uploaded your items and set up your auction start and finish, Galabid does all the work for you! Pros User friendly platform , no fee, excellent live chat service, always very quick and live agents find the answers in no time. We've used this platform for 6 years by now, couldn't be happier with it. Cons I don't see any negatives yet. We started using Galabid during the pandemic, since we could not do an in-person silent auction. The online auction (with Galabid) was so easy to set up and so succesful (we got so much more activity and so many more bids) that we never went back in person! A lot of other companies have red tape in getting ahold of someone for assistance; GalaBid does not. They are quick and helpful. Pros Simplicity, reliability, and customer service truly set this apart. The interface is exceptionally intuitive and easy to navigate, making the entire experience seamless from start to finish. The platform performs consistently and reliably, giving complete confidence that everything will work as expected. On top of that, the customer service is outstanding—responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive. Overall, an amazing experience across the board. Highly recommend to any nonprofit organization looking to host a digital auction. The customer support, ease of use, and incredible fee structure make this the best fundraising platform out there. Pros Our organization had a fantastic experience using GalaBid for our virtual silent auction! The campaign was incredibly easy to set up, and we appreciated the ability to provide multiple photos for each item and reorganize the order of the items on the campaign page. The interface is also aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate, both on a computer or mobile device. Bidding and payments were easy to manage for both bidders and admin, and the fee structure is unlike any other – it's such a wonderful tool for nonprofits to be able to maximize their fundraising while using such a helpful site. And, the customer support team is friendly and always available to assist! We highly recommend GalaBid for any organization looking to host a digital fundraiser. Cons We honestly did not encounter any difficulty with the site during our campaign. The only thing to note is that GalaBid does not automatically charge bidders to the pre-authorized card upon winning an item – that would have been a helpful feature to avoid the additional step for winners. Pros The GalaBid software was very easy to use making it accessible for our group of inexperienced volunteers. This meant more people in our team were confident in using the site from the outset enabling us to spread tasks around the group. Setting up the auction and loading lots was straightforward and intuitive. The structures of the dashboard menus were logically laid out and the inputs required were self explanatory (albeit there are helpful prompts attached to each field). The customer facing site was attractive and its ease of use resulted in excellent engagement and results. The automated alerts to the bidders helped raise additional funds for our charity. Managing the auction with the dashboard, KPIs and reports was made very easy. In short, our expectations were exceeded at every level and we appreciated the support and contact from our account director who took a personal interest in how we were proceeding. Cons When registering as bidders, there is an option to use a landline or mobile (cellphone) number. I would only offer the mobile option as the spoken instruction is not as clear as the text instructions - a very minor point in an otherwise excellent product. Great customer support from the moment we starting planning for our online fundraising event. Really happy with the way our information was presented and the way the bidding strategy worked on the night. We received great advice to help us have a successful auction. Pros The ease of use both for the back end set up and for the users in the front end. The photos and information in each item looks so professional and encourages participants to bid in silent auctions. Cons It could be easier to move lot numbers without having to move things around and change the numbers. Some people were a little confused where there are multiples of a particular item, not knowing if there were any left to bid on - not sure of the answer here, but just trying to avoid listed the items multiple times. We chose to pay GalaBid a small percentage of our receipts which was very economical and well worth the money. Easy to set up, had no issues with bidders downloading or utilizing the platform. Currently considering utilizing their donation option as well. Pros GalaBid was economical for our small non-profit community theater. It was easy to setup on the administrative end. Ease of use for auction bidders. Cons GalaBid requires an account with Stripe. It was easy to create an account and enter bank information for payment. It was just one more step to setup. June 6, 2016 5.0 We have just moved to using GalaBid after being unhappy with the UK market leader, and we are so pleased we did! Their software is the most upto date on the market, it looks wonderful with faultless performance, and our account manager was very helpful offering expert advice whenever we needed. The night was a success raising just shy of 72k, 30k of which we had already raised prior with the pre event auction bidding feature. The post event support was just the same as before, excellent. Helping us both manage and collect outstanding payments, guests addresses, with regular reconciliation updates, all payments were in and monies transferred by the following week. At the time, they were one of the few online auction platforms for nonprofits that let us work in Mexican pesos. In addition to have an easy-to-use platform, they have outstanding customer service. We have been working with the same customer support agents for three years now - that says a lot about the quality of this company. Pros There are so many things to love about this platform and the company. The application is easy to set up and to use, and the ability to "clone" auction information from one year to the next saves a lot of time. Our customers find it easy to log-in and make bids - and we work with a lot of senior citizens! And best of all, their customer support is outstanding! Almost anytime day or night they have live humans availble to help in real-time if you have a question. Finally, the fees are reasonable for the service that you are receiving. All in all, I highly recommend Galabid for your online auction needs. The bidding process was intuitive. You get a lot of value for the small amount paid in fees. Cons The item numbers under the items on the auction gallery may confuse bidders into thinking that's the number of bids an item has. GalaBid is very easy to use, navigate, and understand, and the customer service is excellent. Pros GalaBid is great all the way around, but what I appreciate most is the 24/7 live chat with a real person on the other end. They are incredibly responsive and answer questions/fix problems in real time. That kind of service is hard to find these days! Cons This is a personal preference, but I think that the AI-generated descriptions are too long and wordy. It has been my experience that people at a silent auction are drinking and socializing and are not reading lengthy descriptions of the items they are bidding on.
