Director Education Management Used the software for: I used a free trial ### "Jack of all trades, master of none" November 6, 2018 3.0 Once it was setup is was fun to use. Choosing features is the hard part. Almost no organization would need all those features. You spend a lot of time in setup to get things just right. The features are easy to use after setup and employees generally enjoy or at least tolerate the experience. Pros Tons of features: blogs, notifications, instant messages, polls, CRM, top posts, employee morale boosts, employee org charts and many more. Just about everything you could ask for. No feature is "best in class" though. Features are implemented adequately, but not superbly. Cons Way too much administration involved. Even on the user side, setting up a single account takes too long. The admin side is even harder. Not enough customization of look and feel. Only the vendor can really brand it to your organization. The system is very robust, offers many customization options and a user friendly dashboard. I especially like the MS Word plug-in to eliminate the feeling of having to always log into the system . I can not only track my individual projects, but also track group projects as well. We have introduced all of our freelance designer to this platform and it enables us to track their workload and deliverables. The app is functional too! It makes sending and reviewing files while on the-go super easy. Cons The Wikki is hard to use and not very intuitive. Used the software for: ### "Complicated interface that rarely gets used" January 10, 2017 3.0 Mangoapps offers a lot of options to users, but for an employee engagement system, it has too many options that have overwhelmed our staff and largely contributed to disengagement. The customization features are nice, but are too advanced for our HR staff to effectively utilize. Pros It offers a space for employees to look up fellow employees' contact information. Cons The interface is complicated and cluttered; the incentives did not resonate with our staff. Cons Wish I could add my own fields and apps inside the platform. Would like the ability to track some more project-level details. There can be many subgroups formed, based around interest. Cons It's a bit awkward - not as intuitive as I'd like to see. I'm part of a non-profit with volunteers and I'd like to have a system that has clearer navigation for the inexperienced. Employee comments / suggestions have increased. More and more is becoming paper free. Pros Very customisable. Simple to administrate. The support from Mango is first class - any niggles were quickly resolved. Responsive to hashtags / tagging. The range of functionality is massive. Very easy to build and edit pages. Cons The pre-set notifications was bombarding emails on day one - we quickly were able to reset the defaults to reduce the number sent and make sure they were relevant. MangoApps matched all of our requirements. We tried the trial version and loved it! Unfortunately, we are a small company and could not afford the product. Pros MangoApps has many solutions and is user friendly. Was relatively easy to set up and begin using. Cons There is so much functionality in the tool that it was a bit overwhelming at first. I found that it was much easier to use and master the tool by removing the functionality that wasn't a top priority. The newsfeed page was very useful to compile all post and event information. It was easy to set up a homepage and company structure. Cons MangoApps has a pretty proscribed structure with a navigation panel to the left and the main page in the middle. We were not able to get it to conform to our own navigation. The look and feel of MangoApps is also a bit dated.
