Firmex is by the far the best VDR platform I've used (cost combined with functionality). Cons The process of allowing users to view certain documents within the VDR could be improved. For example, not having to setup permissions by group, but by user. Further, understanding when users are downloading information by receiving email notifications. As for reviewing user permissions, we offer multiple different methods to do this whether it be at the group level or the folder level with our view as tool which allows you to see what folders have been hidden from certain groups. Pros The dataroom is easy to set up and easy to use. As an administrator, it is easy to add users and control their access. The watermark feature is great as there is a timestamp of when documents are downloaded. Cons Downloading the entire database is not easy and takes a lot of time. In terms of downloading an entire database, this really depends on the amount of data within a particular project. Ensure you are downloading directly to your local computer.
