Overall it is intuitive to use and it does everything we need. We only talk to them when they're trying to upsell us though.

Pros

That it can accommodate a fairly extensive product suite. We have hardware one time fees and software subscription, so it can be a little complex. can handle it all.

Cons

Just little things. Figuring out how to add additional functionality. Not being able to charge customers at the end of the month.

This is used with my pricing and billing and it helps simplify things so much. Having the controls built right in makes things extremely user-friendly.

Pros

This is really great for billing and subscription management, and it’s all done in app. And the self serve portal is extremely user-friendly.

Cons

Overall I wish the initial demo lasted longer before having to dive into the purchase, but I’m still glad I made it.

### "Accounting Software that needs help!"

It hasn't been the most pleasant experience. Our company decided to move to at the recommendation of an employee who didn't quite understand the financial side of the business. We are constantly editing subscriptions and it's quite burdensome. If you run a filter on a particular screen and click on a link, it erases the filter. While this software seems to be more efficient from a reporting perspective, it's much more burdensome for the employees doing the actual work. We've been using it for approximately four months and are constantly finding problems with it. We trained ourselves on how to use it before going live to ensure that it performed as expected. We're still not pleased with its performance.

Pros

I like the idea of automated dunning emails and automatic follow-ups for customers. But so far, they haven't worked correctly.

Cons

Editing a subscription is a lot more complicated than other software. I don't like that you cannot easily view a screen that shows paid and unpaid invoices. I don't like that invoices get paid and there are no notifications. I don't like that you cannot enter payment information for a customer. We have fought with customers who previously were on auto-pay to get their information entered into this software. I don't like that once a customer has entered payment details and turned on auto-pay, ALL invoices will get paid once they are created, even if the purchase is not part of the subscription. If a subscription is set for auto-pay and a customer decides to buy training, they should have the option to pay individually. The only way to do this would be to turn off auto-pay every time you run an individual invoice.

### "A deeply regrettable & expensive experience"

Our experience with has been nothing short of a nightmare. The first implementation consultant we were assigned was utterly incompetent, providing no solutions and merely directing us to irrelevant API documentation. They showed no interest in understanding our use case or reviewing our documents and user flows. During our weekly calls, I was left to fend for myself, presenting configurations that didn’t work and proposing solutions that were met with dismissive responses. It became painfully clear that this consultant, an external contractor, was more interested in passing the buck than in providing any real assistance. Our pleas for help fell on deaf ears, with emails left unanswered for weeks on end. When we requested a new implementation consultant, we were unaware that this was merely a symptom of a larger problem: Chargebee’s complete disregard for their customers. Our second consultant was a breath of fresh air, taking the time to understand our use case and helping us find a working solution. However, the migration package we purchased was a complete waste of money, offering little more than a suggestion to read the error messages and make the necessary changes. Fast forward to today, and we are still grappling with an open ticket from \[sensitive content hidden\]. The configuration that Chargebee sold us has proven to be a complete disaster. Following an update in August, our instance has been plagued with errors, causing serious issues for our customers. To add insult to injury, we were informed that the features of the solution we purchased nine months ago do not work together. This was news to us, as none of their documentation suggested this. Despite presenting examples of both successful and failed system operations, Chargebee has failed to provide a replicable explanation of our current configuration’s behavior. The most alarming part of this ordeal is the frequency with which we have had to chase them for updates, only to be met with silence, followed by a call in which we are blamed for not testing the configuration properly. Chargebee has refused to provide a written explanation of how the code should behave to this day. They have refused my ask to further go over our examples and truly understand our use case. If you’re looking for a service that will lie to you, ignore you, and treat you like a fool, then look no further than Chargebee. Their approach to customer service and business conduct is nothing short of appalling.

Pros

It is quite intuitive and easy to use.

Cons

The team at has proven to be nothing short of a disaster. They treat you with utter disregard, blatantly lying to you and leaving your emails unanswered for weeks on end. When you finally manage to get a response, they lure you into a call under the pretense of prioritizing your concerns, only to leave you in the lurch once again. This vicious cycle of neglect continues unabated, while you are left to deal with the fallout of their incompetence, losing customers in the process. Their behavior is not just unprofessional, it’s downright disgraceful.

Despite not being able to afford many of the features our package is still totally fit for purpose and has helped our business grow since we were founded, and the cusotmer support is incredible.

Pros

This system is very simple to use and makes setting up subscription management for a tech start up simple. It provides great customer overview and we have it integrated using APIs and zapier into our CRM as well directly into our app to ensure that access and user numbers are controlled by whether a cusotmer has an active subscription.

Cons

There are a lot of amazing features that you can only access with much more expensive plans.

### "Everything is in there"

Good. We used to do manual invoices separate from credit card invoices. Having a single billing systems improves efficiency and we have a single source of the truth with respect ti critical business KPI's.

Pros

I like that we can also do quotes from the system that customers can accept and it takes them to the checkout. Huge time-save for our sales team.

Cons

It's hard to do price indexation to subscriptions. It generates credits and credit notes that our customers initially don't understand without us explaining it.

### "Accounting and financial management software that simplifies everything and saves us time"

It is fantastic software for automating accounting processes, reducing manual work, and eradicating possible paperwork. All accounting information is stored in the software, and it is easy for the accounting team to access this information, generate reports, perform in-depth analysis, adjust payments, and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, among others. It is the best accounting software we have found; our experience has been excellent.

Pros

I love for many reasons, the most important being that it allows us to streamline all the organization's transaction recording, which always involves a lot of money; at the same time, it helped us improve our previous shortcomings in generating reports. It has features and functionalities that save us time and make our daily accounting work more accessible, allowing us, among many other things, to import the account statement, perform in-depth analysis, and have control of all expenses; in short, it simplifies the entire accounting process, from purchases to the general ledger and accounts receivable and payable. Best of all, it is not difficult to use, and adapting to the software does not require much training.

Cons

There is a learning curve at first, primarily if you have yet to use accounting software; however, we have overcome that curve quickly and get great use out of the software daily.

Pros

I'm able to handle my payment processing, recurring subscriptions, license validation, reports and more all from the same product.

Cons

Usually support is helpful but there have been a few times when the feature just isn't available and there was no timetable given as to when it could be added (or how I could make sure the development team received my request). Two examples- you can't hide the subscription amount when someone is signing up for a free trial and if you have a free trial assigned to a plan the user can't skip the free trial if they want to be charged immediately (you can help them with this on the backend, which adds friction).

The business problem we are solving with is managing our Subscription-based billing and invoicing. It has streamlined it very well for us, bar a few hiccups here and there. The support has been tremendous and it has overall been a pleasant experience.

Pros

I loved the interface, and how easy it was to set things up for our subscription-based billing. Some of the things I really liked are creating plans, coupons, add-ons, sending payment links, updating invoices and customer info, AND how all of these work seamlessly with each other.

Cons

I would have liked more customisation in terms of invoicing, for eg: set a subscription and add add-hoc line items in it in the middle of the subscription cycle. Another thing which could be improved is the integration with our CRM (Hubspot). Plenty of times, the deal creation from to Hubspot either didn't work, or worked differently from the expected behaviour, in spite of setting things up as instructed.

We are efficient in new client onboarding and subscription processes because of . We were manually raising invoices before but with Chargebee the process is simplified and very effective.

Pros

We have a SMB and Enterprise Sales team and use for accounting and subscription purposes to great effect. Invoicing a new client is very easy and UI is super fluid. We have raised a couple of tickets when we encountered bugs but their Customer Success team got in touch with us and solved it within a day.

Cons

There were bugs (duplicate invoice created, client email not registering etc) these happen more frequently than we'd like. It's not that much of a problem because they get resolved super quick

Overall, is a great billing solution and I would recommend it to anyone!

Pros

There are many things that I like about , but the thing that I like most is the fact that it makes billing easy. No more worrying about whether or not I am being charged the right amount, or if I am being charged at all. Chargebee takes care of all of that for me, and all I have to do is sit back and relax.

Cons

I think that is a good product but there are definitely some areas that could be improved. Sometimes payment gateway doesn't load and it show error which is bit frustating.

Pros

I love that allows young startups to get their feet under them before charging them. The integration into Braintree was SUPER easy and we haven't really had any problems with it since we started using it. It allows us to manage subscriptions without building our own dev dashboard to do that and gives us much more flexibility than Braintree for doing so. We use coupons to run promos and Chargebee makes that super easy. We use their hosted page for payments inside of an iframe and that has been helpful as well. Again the biggest thing as a young startup is not having to build all of that ourselves or asking the dev team to make changes every time we need to address an issue. Overall I've been very happy with Chargebee and we plan to continue to use them moving forward.

Cons

I'd love for the reporting dashboard to be a little more robust and user friendly. It's not bad but it could definitely be better. Being able to accept multiple currencies could also be handled better, but we get by just fine with the way it's set up. It makes you change your password every 90 days, which is annoying to me but I guess it's more secure...

Cons

The changes to the platform's product catalog means that switching to the newest version is a lot of work. As the older version is still supported, this is not a big deal however helping with the migration would be very welcome.

As a business owner, I know how hard it is to manage the bill. makes the process seamless and easy. It's great for recurring subscriptions and provides the best customer service experience. Chargebee is the best billing and recurring tool I've ever used. The interface is clean and easy to use, plus it has a lot of features that make it worth the price. I love that they have integrations with so many other platforms, like Slack or Zapier. It's really helped us save time on our billing process in particular.

Für unser B2B Geschäft ist die Individualisierung der Abos nicht ausreichend. Außerdem sind die Prognosefunktionen für Umsatz etc.nicht gut.

It has been useful to set up our automated subscription plans. Creating different plans, promos, and payment methods were quite easy.

Pros

makes it very easy to set up automatic billing, subscription creation, and setting up promos for our customers. The interface is fairly straightforward to navigate and they connect with much of our tech stack, which helps streamline workflows.

Cons

Not much to not like. There are a lot of settings, such as reminders and notifications that you need to make sure you set up if you want to stay on top of your billing. Once they are set up, they are very helpful!

### "Our perfect subscription manager"

Pros

We rely on to manage subscriptions to our product. It's easy to use and to be integrated, and offers many features such as invoicing, TAX calculator based on location, several plans, offline payments, etc. Customer Support is great and they always hear what you say. Besides managing your subscriptions, it does something very important. By using their payment form on your website, you can easily integrate with several payment processors. This is especially important if you have payments that have been rejected by one processor and you can send them to another processor. It also reduces the dependency on one single processor.

Cons

The only thing that comes to mind is that the invoices it produces are not legal in some countries. For instance, in my country, invoicing software needs to be certified and to produce a SAF-T file with all invoices, that we need to submit to tax authorities. Since doesn't do any of that, I need to have a separate invoicing platform.

Pros

started as a good product challenging Recurly but now it's really one of the worst decision we ever took

Cons

Their representative explicitly lied to to us to get us on a higher pricing in order to get his bonus and then you are stuck with another representation trying to get you to pay even to get his bonus aswell for the same feature that were promised earlier by someone else. Their management really needs to train their staff better & decide on a pricing policy that aligns interest (fixed or variable -- you can have it both ways! ) First chance we get, we get away from this scamming company!
