I found the product hard to use, and we had a really bad customer onboarding experience. We are using Guru now which we love. It has a logic to it that fits into our workflow.

It can sometimes be hard to navigate and I'm not sure the search function is as useful as it could be. I often try searching for things and if I don't use exact wording I don't get what I'm looking for.

is easy to use and relatively inexpensive. We use it in our call center to keep our agents up-to-date on all of our policy changes. The ability for users to ask questions and flag posts is very helpful. The only downside is text formatting. Even if you to the HTML markup, the formatting doesn't always show correctly.

Overall, is a great place to document processes on our team. It's easily searchable and customizable to our business. Definitely recommend it for teams that need to find a centralized place to store their important information.

Pros

Easy to navigate and easy to find documents. It's a great centralized place to put data. I love anything that is customizable to our business.

Cons

Not necessarily connected to our other technologies, but we are aware that integrations exist (hesitant due to effort and complexity)

If you need to get up and running fast with minimal expense, have a lot of videos and content to start posting, and have users at worldwide locations this is the way to go.

Pros

Easy to start using immediately. Uploads are very easy. Doesn't need much local IT support. It has an app for mobile access that works very well. Customer service is pretty good.

Cons

Becomes more complicated if you have multiple related Bloomfires such as with the Enterprise version.

We have two "groups" in where I need to search for a phrase. I find it confusing to search between the two groups, or to "limit" the search to properly only look in the single group. Otherwise, I find the product fairly straightforward. :-)

has really helped centralize knowledge for my company, now whenever I have a question, I look it up on bloomfire first. It has also been a great resource to keep company wide info, so we don't have to go scavenging through onboarding documents for policies.

I find the ability to link live Google Docs to a post really helpful. I mostly go into our system to answer questions that others have. I do post resources a lot and find myself going there to see what other teams' resources are. I find it relatively easy to use.

Linking to Google docs.

Cons

Not being able to create a series when posting a new document. (You have to make the series first, then post and add the series then).

It allows to questions to be published and allows for any other person in the group to answer and share their experiences which is helpful. You can track to see who is participating by viewing items and is one common spot for everything to be contained. I do like and use it a lot for referencing our internal articles. I don't see it being much different than using a free Wordpress with some blog categories though, it seems there is tons of ways to accomplish this overall. It works smoothly and makes our team better overall. Thank you Bloomfire. :)

Cons

Not too many curation tools. Playlists are not always in sync. Filtering ability can use upgrades. The interface is a bit complicated for first-time users.
