January 23, 2017 4.0 While I wish the program did a few more things, like more options for monthly reporting, overall it is a great, easy to use program. I see other churches much larger than ours still using "hard copy" accounting and can't believe they don't upgrade to a system like this. It cuts the time for tracking and accounting to a minimum and the system is very stable, I have never had it crash! The access for members is also a great tool that saves us from printing directories. Year end reporting for taxes is also fantastic and easy not to mention it can be accessed from anywhere you are! I would like to see in the communication section a way to type an email and text at the same time. The home phone communication part is so much better than the other system we were using. If the Financial section had Check writing ability, this would be the only software we ever used!! You're in luck because we have check writing done in development. The only thing that's holding it back from release is the ability to not only write the check, but actually configure where each piece of information shows up on your checks so you create your own check templates. We are a church with just over 500 people in our database. Ministry Tracker allows us to keep track of individuals and their ministry involvement so that we can effectively communicate and minister. We check-in children, register people for events, communicate to ministry teams, print labels and produce targeted reports. Because it's cloud based, we have access to member info no matter where we are, enabling our staff to access important contact information. But this product is so cost effective. It flexible, complete, and very powerful for a fraction of the cost of many of it's competitors. We are very satisfied. It doesn't work well with Kindle Fires which is what we have for check in. Even on my iPhone, it's a bit wonky. So if you have check-in stations that are not mobile....it's great! We design all the pages to be WebKit compatible and test all on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. You can use the mobile or Desktop version on any device. Used the software for: ### "Ministry Tracker - Great Starter System" January 27, 2017 5.0 I loved working with Ministry Tracker but it wasn't the first system I have used. I would recommend adding a feature where information from a volunteer application automatically propogates their system. Volgistics the other system I used did that and it saved my staff a lot of data entry time. Reports segment should be changed to allow more detailed manipulation of data. Need a help menu online to show how to perform some of the basic functions. Overall a good starter system for a small ministry with limited needs. Great Customer service. Pros It was user friendly and very affordable. Cons It did not allow you to send an e-mail out to just a few people, you had to make a list with the people in it first. If you don't create a list you are still in fact "creating a list" when you "gather" all those people into an email. So we felt it's best to have you create the list rather than a one-time anonymous list because more times than not, you will want to communicate with that same group of people at a later time. Unfortunately the ability to have people remove themselves from mailing lists is a requirement of the federal CAN-SPAM act. We are required by law to include an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email. Please contact our customer support at support@ministrytracker.com and we can provide some helpful hints and tips to creating emails that people will love every time and won't click unsubscribe on. We can also work with you to examine your sending history. How often you send, when you send, and the content of your messages is key to keeping people engaged and responsive to your communications. Its great- people can check themselves in at a kiosk rather than me typing it every time. It connects with social media to pull their picture which is also neat. The customer service is great and you can always speak to a live person who will guide you through whatever you need. Not a lot of sites like this do that anymore. The site could use some updating to make it look more appealing, but it does everything we need it to! I would highly recommend ministry tracker! It is also great for ministries of larger churches that may want more control over their people and the organization. Being able to organize by schools, individual custom groups, and even email/text from the software is great! I also love it because you are able to share login info with key volunteers and customize their access to give them only what they need to reach their people.
