Help with insurance benefits and eligibility. Makes the check-in process much easier.

Pros

The implementation of the software with our system seemed easy with the help of the Phreesia personnel. I love that our front desk staff can verify benefits at the time of service! We collect at the time of service and if there is a balance from a previous visit - Phreesia notifies the patient at the time of check-in. This has really helped with collections from past visits. As an Administrator, I am able to run reports on the use of the system, patient satisfaction surveys, as well as many other reports. We are able to refund money back to the patient on the card that was used - without having to hold this card information in our office. Love the Phreesia system!

Cons

There are a few insurance companies that will not verify through the Phreesia system, although this is not really a big problem for us at this time. We really have not had any negative issues with Phreeisa or the many staff members that have helped us over the past year.

It has been a couple of years since I used this software but I tell people about it every chance I get!

Pros

This was so super simple for most people to check themselves in at our clinic! I absolutely loved having the ability to collect copays on the tablet. This system greatly improved patient satisfaction and reduced wait times at the check-in desk as well as provided enhanced patient privacy. I cannot emphasize enough how awesome this product is!!

Cons

The only downside to this system is that older people were often intimidated by it, but our staff simply sat down with the patient and asked the questions and recorded the answers. There were some bugs in the system and occasionally all tablets would stop working. This happened more often than it probably should have but overall, was not enough of a problem to outweigh the benefits!

Well thought out implementation. Excellent Phreesia University training for all staff to partake and use for reference.

Pros

The customization and implementation process was top notch. Excellent team of professionals helping you along the entire process. Go Live day had on demand support with live techs and implementation specialists, this allowed for real time adjustments and overall success of the role out.

Cons

There is some information that does not flow over to the Athena EMR, this results in manual entry by the staff to complete the insurance portion of the check in process.

we raised our co-pay collection dramatically. We collect balances when patients are checking in for their appointments. I am always pleased when I see a large balances has been collected on the weekend when patients are checking in for their monday appointment. We literally do not have to do a thing and the balance is collected.

Pros

We love how the patients can enter most all of their information into the workflow and it automatically goes to our EMR freeing up our medical assistants from entering this information.

Cons

We have become so reliant on Phreesia and texting patients. When there is an outage we feel lost without it.

Amazing!

Pros

Phreesia has gradually transformed our office in the past 5 years to almost paperless. Our patients love being able to complete their forms prior to their appointment at their leisure. The clinical integration has reduced amount of time it requires to triage patients which is very helpful with keeping our providers on time. In the last 4 months we started using Patient Assurance which has decreased the amount of time it takes our patients to pay their invoices because they can pay it through Phreesia immediately.

Cons

The screw on plate on the back of the tablets are easily broken when the patients drop the tablets.

insurance verification to some point; but not always correct

Cons

Phresia pads are freezing constantly interviews are way to long for the patients; Phresia support service refuses to improve them co-pays are not correctly displayed

Overall I feel this has truly benefited our practice with the check in process taking less time, and more importantly balance/copay collection.

Pros

I love the preregistration feature that allows patients to get checked in ahead of time for their appointments. This saves them time and the front desk when they arrive so their focus can be more on those that are new to the practice or walked in for our immediate care. I also like that with this same feature, patients can take care of payment ahead of time to avoid the awkward conversations that used to be had with the front desk asking for this.

Cons

I don't care for how much information is needed to be manually entered, especially with designated fields for this information (i.e. Emergency Contact, Release of Confidential Communication).

Great customer service! Our needs are address quickly and followup has been quick as well. We have been very pleased with our decision and selection of Phreesia.

Pros

It is very user friendly for our patients. The parents really do like it and it stream lines the check in process to make it more efficient and timely. We like the ability to customize the templates to our liking. It imports to our EHR seamlessly. The credit card on file function has been a game changer! Parents love the ease of paying balances and it frees up staff time not calling hunting down payments from our parents. We have had no push back from our parents on this feature and it has really improved our AR status. The self scheduling has been great as well.

Cons

I can not think of any thing I DONT like at this point.

Pros

It is very user friendly and simple to use. Each feature is easy to access and provides quick feedback on the patient's status. It allows the staff to focus on the potential problems instead of getting lost in the flood of incoming patients.

Cons

The only piece of the software I don't love is the general support line. It's outsourced overseas and frequently it takes longer to explain the issue than to correct it.

Reason for choosing Phreesia

It had a stronger integration with our EMR and PM systems.

Since discovering the real application realities of the integration Phreesia was supportive from a customer service perspective however the contract term of 1 year is not flexible despite the fact that the product was sold as an integrated product.

Pros

We were originally sold in its integration and interoperability but have come to find that the application of use is much different once the product was integrated. Fort issue was the integration with any system needs to be a direct API not an HL-7. We have had minimal efficiency and economies of scale since go live

Cons

The integration with our existing EMR is less than desirable.

Overall I would say that Phreesia has been pretty great! Besides the issues with self scheduling other changes that we make to our workflow are implemented fairly quickly.

Pros

Our practice likes how easy it is to use. It is very user friendly, especially since our patient base is on the elderly side.

Cons

As of right now my least favorite feature is the lack of being able to make changes to the self scheduling setup. It's a little frustrating that something so important cannot be modified easily.

Our experience has been very rewarding. Our integration has increased patient communication, and intake times alone. It has helped us increase payments made in office, and has helped bridge the gap between patients that was made during COVID

Pros

I loved the accessibility for our staff, and ease of communication it provided for our clinical staff and patients.

The only thing I would like to change is with integrated software, I would love if it picked up on appointment type and appointment reason

Phreesia makes check in easier, policies that need to be signed are done, Patient have to verify their address and phone number each time and I love that.

Pros

The ease of sending a link to patients on their cell phones to complete paperwork.

Cons

That modmed will not let the clinical information integrate into the system

Pros

Putting the check in process in the patients hands. This ensures proper registration at check-in. The patients can pay their copay and balance and even set up a payment plan. The best part is that it is paperless!!

Cons

Hard getting the patients accustomed to using the check in board. The staff showed some resistance because we have and older patient demographic but Phreesia account rep worked with us on perfecting the patient interviews.

We transitioned to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and with most things you get used to the person you start with but \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been excellent super helpful and very patient with us.

Its for the most part very user friendly and easy to navigate

I would like to be able to change the survey and analytics some without making major changes to the entire system.

I loved that the parents could fill out the patient information (and you could read it) . I also loved that it would tell you if you had a bill, how much, they could set up payment arrangements and slide their credit card in private rather than being called back up to the window.

Cons

With EMD's the forms didn't automatically go into the patients chart for the doctors and nurses to see

The training was outstanding! \[sensitive content hidden\] made us very comfortable knowing she would train us on anything needed. She held our hand throughout the first day, and always made herself available to us.

Pros

I love that we can send a blast message to all or some of our patients depending on our needs. I love the result of patients checking themselves in. I love that patients can pay online.

Cons

Not applicable. So far, so good! I will update if needed.
