My overall experience with Phressia was very helpful for our HIPPA compliance paper work and patient personal information.

Pros

Phreesia was very helpful when it came to checking the patient in when they arrived, keeping up with medical records and forms that the patient have to filled out at the time of check in.

Cons

When the patients filled out the name of the pharmacy, Phreesia had some difficulty transferring to our current EMR.

### "Phreesia's unfair "Gotcha" Clause"

I have been a client of Phreesia for 2 -3 years, and I wanted to cancel my service since I engaged another vendor who provides the same service and more.When I went to cancel my service on April 13, I was told my contract auto-renewed for one year on April 1, and that I needed to cancel 60 days before my contract renewed. All my other third party vendors for Athenahealth allow cancelation either immediately or with no more than 60 days notice. This is a "gotcha " clause which I missed, but I expected some consideration since I have nbeen a client and I was only 13 days over the auto-renewal. This required a Zoom meeting with 3 people to explain the contract and tell me they will have to "take this to their leadership." Really? They need to engage their leadership for simple contract issues with a client? Furthermore, I cannot reset my password as well as change my account information and cancel my ACH without speakign with someone. What kind of modern tech company does that these days? Would not recommend doing business with this company.

Pros

the original service I subscribed to was QeuDr, which was technology that automatically filled cancelled appointments by texting patients who are on the schedule in the future to ask if they would like to come in earlier. Qeudr was purchased by Phreesia a few years ago.

Cons

Horrible customer service and "Gotcha" clause in contract requiring cancellation 60 days before annual renewal date.

We have had Phreesia for15 years used is without interface for all that time. Finally have new EMR ECW that interfaces and we still love it.

Pros

Phreesia support is always there to help and the services they provide make our jobs so much easier. Couldn't do without them so when we went looking for a new EMR Phreesia interface was mandatory before we did any demos.

Cons

Can't think of anything that is a down side. They are responsive and keep adding services that make our jobs easier

Wonderful! My overall experience with Phreesia has been fantastic. Their IT department is quick to respond and troubleshoot any issues efficiently. Our provider representative is knowledgeable, supportive, and always takes the time to educate and assist our team.

Payment Assurance 9. Easy to use dashboards 10. Our dedicated Account Executive – Provider Solutions (the ranking could easily be swapped, making Leila #1). This is the first clinic where I’ve used Phreesia, and I’ve found it to be extremely user-friendly and a great all-around solution. I only wish I had the opportunity to use this product sooner!

Cons

The only drawback is that broadcast messages can’t be sent until the day’s schedule is loaded. It would be helpful to have the ability to send messages in advance.

Very good. it took a lot of education by the staff and a lot of hand holding but in about 90days we had most of the kinks worked out

the ability to charge card on file and allowing patients to pay copays and previous balance before setting foot in the building saving a lot of time at check in

some of the critical information collected via Phreesia is not transferred to Office Practicum as discreet data where it needs to go. Staff needs to interact with documents and PDF files to get the right information where it needs to be

Pros

Phreesia has many tools that saves my practice time, money and worry. Insurance eligibility, payment assurance and appointment all help our practice keep a full schedule and collect balances. Phreesia has been an extremely valuable addition for our practice.

Cons

Unfortunately no service is one hundred percent and when there is a zone issue, nothing can be done except wait for service to be restored.

Two thumbs up! Way more positives than negatives.

Pros

I absolutely loved Phreesia. The intake pad when patients would arrive was very user friendly. We could see how far they had gotten and when they would be done on intake. We could verify Insurance through Phreesia. It would tell us co pays due and balances.

Cons

Some patients would complain that the intake was somewhat lengthy however that could be our practice issue. I know we had added things on there that the Doctors wanted such as psychiatric evaluations.

Simply impressive. Phreesia's product and knowledgeable work force solve real problems with the Veradigm health clinic platform.

Pros

The sales and implementation team at Phreesia was highly knowledgeable, competent, adept at problem solving, professional, polite, and extremely responsive. The product is very good and stands in the Veradigm platform gap very well, but it was that team which makes the product really shine.

Cons

There are a couple gaps between Veradigm PM and eHR that Phreesia still does not span for us. Not yet, anyway. I suspect it's only a matter of time before the ever evolving Phreesia solution solves the rest of the Veradigm integration issues. I do wish Phreesia payments worked with any credit card reader, but

At first, I feel like it was overwhelming because I came after 3 weeks of implementation. But I was able to catch up easily. Phreesia University is very robust and helpful. It appears that Phreesia University is kept up to date with any changes.

Sometimes I didn't know what questions to ask during implementation, but I was able to talk to my Phreesia Sr Consultant and she was able to bridge the gaps.

Daily census tracking to help identify staffing needs at a glance. Patient reminders and the fact they can go out via text and email since some patients may have either or. These are just a couple of the features I find most valuable from a patient access standpoint.

Cons

Some of the E&B functionality can get confusing when payers aren't set up correctly, however, in these situations, the Phreesia support team has been great with not only helping resolve issues, but responding timely.

We absolutely love Phreesia. I have personally recommended Phreesia to people for many years. We save so much staff time by doing insurance verification, appointment reminders, and financial tasks through Phreesia. I highly recommend it.

Pros

We rely on the insurance verification to make sure we have the correct information to submit a clean claim. This is the #1 feature! Along with that, Phreesia identifies balances and copays, and allows us to collect that right at the time of service. We also rely on the automated appointment reminders, which helps cut down on no-shows. We use targeted communication to remind patients to schedule important follow up visits, or annual physicals. We use the patient payment features to send emails directly to the patient about balances, and they have the option to set up a payment plan directly through Phreesia.

Cons

Sometimes patients complain about too much communication. I wish there was better integration with the EHR for data, and not just the ability to save some items as a PDF. I wish Phreesia identified credit balances.

Its been great. I have used it at other Practices and it is great. We still have some patients who aren't going to use it, but that number is way out weighed by those who do and love it.

Pros

ease of use. Patient engagement. Shout outs to patients. Cut down tremendously on wait times and paperwork that had to be filled out.

Cons

We have struggled with the money part. The co pays and how they are posted. I think is our problem.

Pros

Phreesia was able to give our Practice a leg up when the pandemic hit and our office was still mostly paper. There is such a wide range of usability. I typically try to use 1-2 days every 2-3 months to catch up on new enhancements and abilities Phreesia has introduced. I love being a part of the Beta program and providing feedback on their newest products. I feel like Phreesia, as a large company, actually hears our input and also considers it.

Cons

Phreesia's support team can be very impatient. As the admin, I would like to have more ability to customize Phreesia instead of having to go through support every time we want to make changes. There is a lot of ability to customize as the Admin, but not the most important types of things such as work flows or frequency of the workflows being sent out. I would like to see their self-scheduling improve. One huge downside to it is the duplicate account/charts that self-scheduling allows. There is not any kind of flag or notification that is sent or shown when there have been duplicate accounts created.I would also like to see the appointment confirmations improve.The appointment confirmations will continue to be sent out and ask patients to confirm an appointment they have already confirmed or canceled.

Our practice loves Phreesia, great customer service, log a ticket and the response if fast. Changes to interviews they work with us until it is perfect.

Pros

Insurance verification is wonderful, it has cut down the time our billing department spent on the phone verify patient insurance polices. It has helped our practice increase our collections at the time of service. The reporting is wonderful, patient surveys, user data reports. Has great training features/videos and instructions.

Cons

Integration with Allscripts Professional EHR with the patients medical history, still needs some work for the way we have to document in the patient chart for our quality programs to be able to run reports through our system.

Reason for choosing Phreesia

Integration with Allscripts PM & Allscripts Professional EHR. All the great features they have to offer and the upcoming changes and new features. Staying up to date with the current technology is the key to a successfully practice.

Extremely frustrating, time consuming, and expensive. Customer support communication was a complete disaster. Management was helpful but very difficult to get in touch with. Despite the product not working, they are not letting me out of my contract early. I absolutely do not recommend.

Pros

Phreesia was easy to set up and implement. This was mostly because I worked with a fantastic representative that made it easy. He was then promoted and my representative from then on was not helpful.

Cons

I used Phreesia for almost 2 years. Within months I was already asking for managers to get involved. For one year, I spoke with representatives in a one hour zoom call every other week, sent multiple emails about issues each week, submitted cases about errors with examples, etc. Despite the amount of detail and examples for each error, the customer support that would respond to submitted cases would respond with an answer that seemed like we were talking about a completely different thing. I have a 7 page word document of the number of cases/examples of errors that we submitted without resolve. After one year and speaking to 3 managers during that time, Phreesia reported that I was having to deal with an excessive amount of issues and because of that, they would start the process over from the ground up. I spent COUNTLESS hours working on Phreesia taking me away from my practice and my patients. After another 8 months of this and spending $17,500, I gave up and asked to terminate the contract early. Even with all of the above, they are not terminating early and are making me pay the additional 4 months, costing another $3,500.

From the beginning, the sales process was great. My sales rep truly knew the product and kept up with me when I had questions - I'm a tough sell for sure :) He understood the complexities of Family Practice and even offered solutions along the way. He worked well with my boss/decision maker and built a trust relationship with both of us. That's important! The implementation went very well, and the team worked very hard to ensure success - the team leader was amazing! The process prior to go-live included full discovery of our forms and workflows to find a general understand of how our practice really works. Then came the building of the electronic forms (with re-writes and testing), weekly meetings where the team leader kept me to task, and a virtual go-live that was seamless. My own team loved that we could ask questions on the first day, but there were not a lot to ask actually. The Phreesia implementation team has have been with us every step of the way, with little issues to be honest. And if there were, they were fixed, with explanations as to how to avoid issues in the future. The problem/case management is easy to utilize and the support team is highly responsive. My staff remain excited and engaged, and continue to love this product! When we learn something new, we love it even more. I believe Phreesia has a product that they truly care about, and they strive for success - which is what we definitely experienced here, start to finish.

Pros

Phreesia has a seamless integration with our EHR - we use Athena. The check in process has been cut down to seconds (as opposed to up to 10 minutes at a time), which allows the staff to focus on other ancillary jobs, and less face time with patients. This is a good feature during a pandemic! Also, the reduction of paper utilizing the electronic forms that automatically flow into the charts has already given us a decrease in paper costs, and all the time spent getting forms to patients, and then having to scan all of that paper as well. Our clinical staff and providers appreciate the data imports of electronic forms and medical history updates, which means less data entry, and therefore less errors in the medical record. The clinical staff spend less time during intake, which allows for the provider to have more time in their face to face with the patients. Finally, the ability to quickly satisfy Quality Measures and Population Health requirements (we are Family Practice) is already showing a big improvement in our scores, which is part of our ACO engagement. Meaning, using the logic that Phreesia provides, required questionnaires due once a year are sent to the patient and then satisfied easily in their encounter. Phreesia also captures revenue swiftly and efficiently, and in one month we have seen a 6% increase in our Time of Service collections. I expect this to increase over time as staff (and patients) understand usage of the program.

Cons

I see no cons at this time to using Phreesia. In the past there may have been a cost issue, but they have worked out better packages for practices who are interested.
