### "Is Worpress Worth It?"

March 6, 2021

5.0

personally, I have been able to use Wordpress for introducing students into the web development carrier because it is easy to use and students start to get that feeling of designing a website even before they get introduced to coding. some of my students have even started developing websites for companies with only the knowledgr of wordpress. So wordpress has been a great software for me since i started using it and i have no regrets. So is wordpress worth it? the answer is a big yes

Pros

\- wordpress has a vast library of plugins that you can use for almost anything you want and they are very easy to use - Wordpress is one of the easiest CMS (content management system) out there to use, you can have your website running in a matter of minutes. -wordpress provides an easy to use interface in its backend, meaning you don't need programming knowledge to manage your site - its an open-source software so it's been updated always with better features -it is very responsive. i.e its good on mobile as well as desktop and laptops - Wordpress is SEO friendly with integration for google console

Cons

\- the fact that wordpress is an open-source software makes it prone to hackers so if you don't update regularly, your site might be compromised -if you are not a developer, some Wordpress themes might give you speed issues because they contain codes you just don't need and you won't be able to fish them out thereby settling for a slower load time

### "wordpress review 2021"

I can't just create a eCommerce website but also some big design website and it is prizie yet convenient. it's a beautiful and handy website builder.

Pros

1\. Free – WordPress programming is allowed to download and utilize. All you need to pay for is an area name and web facilitating. 2. Opportunity and Possession – WIth WordPress, you have 100% responsibility for the site. Furthermore, you can pick your own web facilitating and move your website at whatever point you need. 3. Complete Customization – WordPress offers a huge number of free, delightfully planned WordPress topics. This implies you can alter the appearance of your site precisely to your necessities and inclinations. 4. Limitless Modules – WordPress likewise offers a huge number of modules, additional items, and expansions to add additional force and elements to your site. 5. Simple Reconciliation – On the grounds that WordPress is so well known, you can keep on utilizing your #1 devices with your WordPress site. Most instruments and applications coordinate effectively with WordPress, for example, email advertising devices, Client Relationship The executives programming, installment doors like PayPal, and considerably more. 6. Local area – One more advantage of the ubiquity of WordPress, is the local area. The WordPress people group is immense to the point that there's a huge load of discussions, instructional exercises, and sites on the web (like IsItWP) where you can learn all you require to about the product.

Cons

1.No Immediate Help – While there are numerous assets online that will assist you with settling your WordPress issues, they don't offer any immediate help like email, telephone, or live talk support. 2. Slight Expectation to absorb information – WordPress is genuinely simple to utilize in general. Be that as it may, there is a slight expectation to learn and adapt to getting comfortable and familiar utilizing the product due to the absence of an intuitive manufacturer. Fortunately, you can utilize intuitive WordPress page developers to make it simpler. 3. Support and Security – When utilizing WordPress, you're liable for the upkeep and security of your site, while other web designers handle this for you. This implies you need to refresh WordPress consistently and use WordPress security modules to keep your site secure.

### "Wordpress - Must Use for Your Website (Business or Personal)"

January 6, 2020

5.0

I use it for my own business site and for client sites. It is my go to and the best experience possible out there and I have tried a lot. Consider that it covers everything: 1. Well suited and coded for SEO with supporting plugins. 2. Lot of security plugins which are necessary, effective and you need to use as it is a very popular platform and thus lots of hackers are interested in it. 3. Works congruently with Social Media platforms. 4. LMS / Drip Content / Paid Gateways - it's plugin for all that. 5. Ecommerce - Woo has that cover with a massive amount of plugin and options to get what you want done. WP just does it all and very effectively, I can't imagine using something else. Plus with the community support and the ecosystem, you'd be a full not to in the majority of cases.

Pros

Top 6 - Reasons to Use Wordpress (I'd write more but ran out of space) 1. The code is already there. Coming from a corporate design background (Historically I was an online marketing director and creative director). It is a massive relief not to have to rely on a programmer to get the functionality we need for a top performing and efficient website. 2. Design wise - there are a number of templates out there that you can easily utilize and manipulate to get the look and feel your brand supports. Sure there is a learning curve but it isn't too steep for most and you can use freelance sites or in house designers to get over that at a fair price. 3. Community - Wordpress powers over a third of the site online and is massively supported and well documented. 4. Plugins - There is a plugin for that. Believe it! If there is not know you can manipulate one that is already out there or have a developer create it for you. 5. Price - Wordpress is free and the plugins, extensions and premium themes are 90% of the time very reasonably priced.. 6. Independent and Yours - If you build an independent WP site (not on wordpress.com but on your own site and installation) your site can exist for years without worry on what WP is doing. This is massively important because if you build your site on Wix or Squarespace or any like them (heaven save you if you build a "site" on Fbook, that's terrible), and they change their system it can ruin your site. Ultimately they own your site not you.

Cons

The new Gutenberg blocks - As an experienced WP user I don't like it. Probably would not affect a new user. I've disabled it with a plugin so all is well. Speed - WP can be slow if you overload it with plugins and extras. You have to keep an eye on that and take measure to make it fast (which is totally possible, just consider it part of the build).

### "WordPress - Dominating the world of Blog"

August 20, 2021

WordPress first of all I might have repeatedly this multiple times but it's so good for beginners it boosts your confidence, they have every possible feature a website owner or Blogger can ask for. They manage your data, content, audio, video and documents. You can even add multiple domains and hosting it. They provide you suggestions and their customer service is flawless. WordPress has benefited me to become a professional blogger and inspire others to follow dreams. There is no hesitation or complexity while using wordpress it's simple to use there is a guide which helps to explore the WordPress and it's features step by step

Pros

WordPress has many excellent features which are easy to use. Mine personal favourites are website builder and already available thousands of templates and themes from which we can create our own website and blog. It also has feature where we can migrate our old website onto wordpress in very simple steps. WordPress has a good customer service like they send you emails about how we can improve the blog or website quality which I like alot. Everything in WordPress is so easy to understand and you won't find any difficulty at all. Features like collaboration tool and adding plug ins to enhance the quality of own content and to give best experience to our users. Also I can boost my content with their suggestions support.

Cons

WordPress is the most definitely the easy and simple site to start as a beginner and grow as a whole pro. I have not found anything difficult yet everything being so great

Reason for choosing WordPress

No I did not, WordPress was always the one

### "Wordpress, the easiest and cheapest gateway to creating your own website"

October 6, 2021

4.0

Wordpress is a wonderful piece of free software that allows for any person to create a website for their project, business, or personal endeavor. With endless integrations and the ability to build out custom plugins and themes, you never need to worry about growing out of Wordpress. With the CMS holding the majority share of the internet, it is a tried and true method for anyone looking to get away from a high monthly fee service, like Wix or Squarespace. After more than 10 years of personal and business use, I am confident that Wordpress can do anything that anyone would want from a website, plus a little more.

Pros

Wordpress is endlessly customizable, serving as more than just a tool to put a template on. You are able to create your own themes, or find one that you like online. If something isn't working how you want, look and you will likely find a solution that someone else was having. Besides just being customizable and dependable, Wordpress is trusted by the whole world. Any issues you might run into, someone else has definitely had and posted about online already. If not, you can be that person to find the solution!

Cons

The main issues with Wordpress is that it is not a centrally hosted service. If you encounter problems, it is likely up to you or the person you hired to create the site to troubleshoot. This is the price you pay for a free service, but is a small one, in my opinion.

Alternatives considered

[Wix](https://www.capterra.com/p/169007/Wix/)

Reason for choosing WordPress

Jamstack is a popular option nowadays, but requires a high technical level to operate and maintain. Wix is the opposite, but requires high fees to keep a website up and hosted at the same level a base Wordpress instance would have.

### "Wordpress is still the best blogging platform"

September 17, 2018

4.0

I run all my sites on Wordpress, ones generating millions of visitors a month to ones with much smaller niche audiences. As long as you don't try to over customize it, meaning having a developer do all these things you think are cool but break Wordpress with updates, it's powerful. Working within what Wordpress offers, and focusing less on technical breakthroughs and more on content and development, I love Wordpress because it's easy to use, affordable, and I can find people to help me easily because tons of smart developers, designers, and writers use Wordpress daily.

Pros

Wordpress as a blogging platform still outperforms all the others. Yes you can get easy tools like Squarespace and Wix, but they all limit you to ultimately what you want to do, grow. With Wordpress you can start small, grow it gradually, and add everything you need to run a thriving business online, while controlling it all and owning it. I also like the fact that I can find good Wordpress developers and plugins because it is so widely used, making it convenient to get help and not get stuck with a platform that lets you publish and does little else. Sure you need to learn a few things, but ultimately Wordpress is a great value.

Cons

For some it's a bit more technical, requiring a bit of knowledge how it works. The endless updates of plugins and Wordpress itself are challenging to some, but this is a minor problem as long as you know not to use too many plugins and try to overdesign. So if you are not a disciplined user and try to throw all sorts of things around without thinking it through, go to a platform that limits your ability to do that. Wordpress can drive you crazy with its changes, but those changes are indicative across the digital world, and once you basically work it and treat it like a business instead of a hobby, there's no better platform to use.

### "Choose this if you want to achieve both ease of site construction and customization"

April 4, 2023

4.0

WordPress allows you to easily create a site in the direction you want to go by choosing your favorite theme. Of course, connecting from the server location to WordPress and the initial setup is difficult for first-time users, but it's much easier than creating a site from scratch. Also, since WordPress has a wide variety of plugins for adding features, it's nice to easily add or remove the features you want to implement on your site according to your needs. Originally, outsourcing would incur a fee, but since the site can be created cheaply, it has reduced costs. We operate our media to acquire leads but use WordPress there.

Pros

The best thing about WordPress is that it is easy to build and customizable. WordPress is acceptable for making sites for small to medium-sized businesses. Even if you do not know about building websites or homepages, you can create a site by simply clicking on it. Installing plugins without becoming a paid member lets you easily add features and background images.

Cons

There are no security measures, and installing the plug-ins on your own takes time and effort. An error occurs when upgrading.

### "One of the best website managers out there"

December 5, 2019

5.0

It has been a very good experience to get to know wordpress and use it. It has granted us a great tool to manage websites, blogs, communities and landing pages. There is a lot of tutorials and information around, you just have to have the will (and/or time) to keep updating.

Pros

WordPress is one of the best website managers and content creators. It has tons of templates, addins and is supported almost everywhere (even if you want to install it locally). We have used our website with WordPress for more than 4 years and everytime we need to update or upgrade it, is as simple as to look for a new template, create a backup, install the template and customize it a little bit and in less than a week (sometimes even days) we have it up and running

Cons

The con I could find on Wordpress is that it can sometimes be difficult to keep an eye on the new versions of everything you install. There are updates for the theme, the addins, the plugins, the connectors, etc. What we have agreed to do is to always look to minimize the addons we select for our website to keep this controlable but there is always some antispam addin or comments addin you will eventually need. And sometimes, with the updates, you can get your site broken.

### "Wordpress is by far the best website platform and is highly customisable "

October 5, 2022

5.0

I love Wordpress and there is no other platform like it!

Pros

I have used Wordpress for myself and my clients for the past 10 years. It's my preferred platform to build websites on due to the amount of customisation I can make, unlike other platforms such as Shopify which is a lot more difficult and costly. Wordpress feels like a platform where there are no limits to what you can do.

Cons

Woocommerce can be a bit expensive with plugins, but I can make customisations myself unlike Shopify. The dashboard could also do with a refresh to make it more friendly for clients to use. I have had a few websites that have been hacked over the years so I would like to see better security on Wordpress.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing WordPress

### "Great Base Platform for Websites, Blogs, etc. Okay for Stores. Plan on using a lot of plug ins."

October 21, 2021

4.0

Overall I really like WordPress and plan on sticking with it. I self hosted through GreenGeeks for my own domain. My site is still under construction but should be live soon- if you wanted to get a site up quickly and aren't picky, you absolutely could do so at a low cost via WordPress. If you want something a little more custom, just plan on taking time to research and learn the offering and build. I think it's worth it.

Pros

If you have some basic website building skills, you will be able to figure out the ins and outs of Word Press pretty easily. If you have no idea about anything website building, there are resources available for you to learn, and you can start with a basic template theme/site. I happen to know some coding and also have experience building websites and intranets, so I found I leaned on plug ins and themes to help me get my website off the ground quicker, but also could have just customized myself most of what I wanted to. Pretty easy. You can get a WordPress site free, or you can pay for your own domain and have a custom URL. If you want HTTPS (secure) also plan on paying extra for that. I like that there are so many plug ins available and that they do security updates often. The Elementor Builder tool is drag and drop - pretty simple to navigate. You can have a storefront via WooCommerce if you like, it's already there for you.

Cons

If you opt for a custom theme or plug ins, plan on poking around a lot to change colors, fonts and such. WordPress can be too simple for some, and on the flip side feel very complex for beginners to get used to. So long as you know you're going to have to plan some build time into it if you want a particular customized look and feel, you're good. I wished there were more font options. The photo editor is crap so edit your images 1st. You're also going to want to add an SEO plug in most likely unless you are already trained on that - the space exists to pop in you stuff but obviously you need to input the content and a plug in like Yoast will help beginners. Also the form builder was too basic for my needs, I had to get a plug in for that as well. It's possible I could have just custom coded some things but in the interest of time I've had to add several plug ins to my WordPress site to get it up to the standard I want in a professional site. There are a few items that come with I don't use like Monsterinsights.

Reason for choosing WordPress

My site is more blog focused than store focused.

### "Wordpress Review From A Person Who Is Not Techie"

January 30, 2023

5.0

Yes, here are some common business problems with using WordPress:Security vulnerabilitiesLimited scalabilityCompatibility issues with pluginsMaintenance and upgrade costsPerformance optimizationLimited design customization optionsHigh cost of professional supportInadequate SEO capabilitiesIt's important to weigh the pros and cons of using WordPress for your business and consider if it meets your needs before making a decision.WhereasHere are some benefits of using WordPress for businesses:Easy to use and manageLarge user community and supportLarge selection of plugins and themesSearch engine friendlyMobile responsiveCustomizable with code or through pluginsLow cost compared to other website building optionsRegular updates and improvementsIntegrates with various tools and servicesGood security with regular updates and plugins.

Pros

In summary, WordPress is a free, open-source website-building platform that gives users complete control over their website and its files. It offers a wide range of plugins, themes, and customizations, making it easy to create unique, fast, and SEO-friendly websites. Additionally, many third-party tools have integrations available for WordPress, making it a versatile and convenient platform for website building.

Cons

In summary, being in charge of your WordPress website also means being responsible for its security, backups, and updates. Although these tasks can be automated, they still require attention. A lack of built-in drag-and-drop builder might pose a challenge for some beginners, but there are plugins available to assist with this. Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS can make using WordPress easier, but it's not necessary to learn it to use the platform. Most users can acquire these skills over time as they use WordPress.

### "Great place to start your own site"

April 17, 2019

4.0

WordPress is a great place to start for people getting their feet wet in having their own website. It has lots of features and options and the support community and documentation out there is fast and well established. It might not be for everyone, but I would recommend anyone new to the scene to start here. They will learn so much, even if they decide to move to another platform later on. The upside is that once it's set up, you do not need to pay hosting fees to a 3'rd party company. So you can really build something wonderful with little or no money.

Pros

A lot of support documentation and help available out there, as many people are using it. You can do it all for free, or on a shoe string budget, if you are patient enough, as there is a steep learning curve. No matter what you can think of, someone is probably doing it already with a WordPress site out there somewhere, so you just have to keep looking till you find the right info/help. Many hosting sites come WordPress 'ready' so you can have a fully installed site in seconds. A ton of plugins out there, and a lot of them are free... So you can ultimately get what you want/need provided you are willing to experiment, read and try a lot of them.

Cons

A bad plugin can break the entire site, and then is not always a simple click to roll back. Sometimes plugins do not work together, and there is no easy way to determine root cause or how to resolve. It's well known, so hackers often find vulnerabilities. That being said, you can always install some security plugins, and go with a hosting site that offers WordPress security. While you do not need to know how to code, you're going to have to learn some stuff, like making site backups, fixing security vulnerabilities and speeding up the site load time. Fortunately there is a lot of good info out there to help with all of this.

### "I love Wordpress!"

November 17, 2022

5.0

It can sometimes be challenging when a problem happens but I always liked a challenge. It's rare for problems to occur but it's like anything else, it happens at times. It's a way to learn. I love the ease of building, editing and publishing. It has everything I need to build a website in a fairly short period of time.

Pros

I hesitated for a few years when wordpress first came out. One day I jumped in and said, why did I wait so long?? There are so many options, the sky is the limited only to your imagination. Not to mention the number of plug ins available, almost anything you need or want for your website, including builders. It's a small learning curve, but you will never stop learning something new.

Cons

It's a hackers paradise. Keep your updates up to date and stay on top of security. Also, there can be conflicts between plug ins and you won't know until you update them.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Ease of use and so many options.

### "One of the best CMS platform that is super easy to use to build a website"

September 8, 2021

5.0

My overall experience is outstanding, this is the only software that I can leave a five-star review without thinking. It helped me to grow up my business worldwide because I'm a WordPress developer and I provide web development services around the world through freelancing marketplaces like Fiverr or Upwork.

Pros

Actually, I like everything about this content management system software. All the parts of this software are essential to building a website. For example, the theme and plugin part is my favourite. WordPress allows me to install templates I like, this whole process makes the website building steps amazing on WordPress. It could be an e-commerce website, blog, business, affiliate marketing, almost all kind of websites I can create using WordPress and its theme system. I also like how its plugin functionality works, any kind of custom functionality if I need it, I can include it using a plugin. There is no coding on WordPress, only settings that allow me to do something awesome.

Cons

1\. In WordPress latest version 5.8 they've upgraded the widget system which is really annoying. It was perfect on the previous versions, but the new widget management system looks like a page edit, even it works slowly. I really don't like the new look and system of widgets 2. WordPress use too many unnecessary codes that slow down a website. The software should have a function that will allow users to scan the unnecessary codes and remove them.

Cons

Precisamente al nutrirse de muchos softwares lo que sí requiere es de un control, seguimiento y mantenimiento constante

### "If you are someone who seeks to do things with quality, Wordpress is what you are looking for."

July 18, 2018

5.0

Pros

Having a blog is not easy. Globalization, the internet, the management and diffusion of knowledge in a massive way, have been the main milestones of the 21st century. The amount of valuable information that exists in personal blogs is endless. People can create and share all kinds of content. Personal experiences, investigations, tutorials, educational information repositories, cooking recipes, mechanics, health, financial advice ... Wordpress is a CMS platform that allows millions of people to create their own space in the infinity of the internet. It is an incredible platform because it adapts to the particularities of each client. From a poet to a financial guru, anyone can express themselves through Wordpress. In my personal experience as a university professor, I have used wordpress to strengthen distance education and elearning, in search of adapting the curriculum of my classes to the new trends of the 21st century. through wordpress I can interact with my students, sharing information of interest, like research done by think thanks, and my personal articles on the research topics that we develop. For me, wordpress is an extremely useful tool, the best ally of those of us who dedicate ourselves to impart and share knowledge. It has an interface that is easy to use, has enormous versatility, and empowers all users to be creators of our own websites. I highly recommend it to my students and colleagues.

Cons

I really am very satisfied with wordpress. I admit that at the beginning it can be a little confusing to learn to use its interface. But with a few hours of practice one can become a wordpress expert blogger.

### "Easy to use, getting tougher for developers"

November 7, 2018

4.0

Overall, it’s easy for even a novice to use. It is one of the most widely used platforms so it also leaves WP sites more vulnerable to hacking attempts - I highly recommend anyone who isn’t a developer to have a maintenance plan with someone who can secure and monitor a WP site regularly to avoid data loss or other malicious intrusions. The more you use it, the easier it becomes to work with. It’s generally my go-to when creating custom websites for people who need a CMS but as stated above, I’ll be monitoring things closely to see how the new features affect the current development standards and methods.

Pros

I love the interface and simplicity of working on the back end. It’s intuitive for the most part and without having to look things up, a user can generally figure out the basics. Developing for custom WP sites has been great as there is a huge WP dev community and a lot of help and support to be found around the web (or courses). It is free to use especially if self hosted and there are a million ways to customize a sote to be more unique from the standard templates (mostly geared towards developers).

Cons

The most recent changes including the customizer & Gutenberg (releasing soon) are becoming a huge roadblock for many developers. There are ways around them which include disabling them via code or plugin but the way things are going, it will be harder to ensure these features won’t interfere with custom WP developers. The customizer is versatile but I find it sometimes interferes with the way a custom coded site works and can cause issues with intended styling and functionality. Gutenberg is still new so it remains to be seen just how much interference there will be once it’s part of the core framework, especially on sites developed before this release.

### "WordPress is simply a powerful stable CMS with very high security and lot of great features!"

February 9, 2021

5.0

I have been working with WordPress for many years and we have used it for many projects in startups and other projects. It has excellent security and a lot of development. It is always in progress and you can always add your own module and plugin to it.

Pros

A complete CMS. You can use it even without installing any additional modules and tools. The open source and readability of PHP code simplifies the possibility of change. It is always updated and has many developers around the world. A variety of free and commercial templates with many free and commercial modules ضand plugins that you can find on the Internet with a simple search. On the other hand, it has many safety and updates.

Cons

The backup and recovery system must be added to the core kernel by default. The rest of the facilities are great.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing WordPress

Better support, tutorials and videos, and better coding quality

Switched from

[Joomla](https://www.capterra.com/p/161648/Joomla/)

WordPress support, services and updates have been much more complete and powerful than other similar software, and the variety of templates, modules is incomparable with competitors.
