### "Extremely Powerful But Watch Out For Flaky Plugins"

March 9, 2021

5.0

I've been working with WordPress since it was first released. I've created websites for myself and my clients. I have developed and sold commercial plugins. I've run e-commerce sites. Right now I'm running my coaching business including webinar funnels and a learning management system all powered by WordPress.

Pros

WordPress has the richest ecosystem of any CRM. It's also the most versatile in that it can be used for anything from a simple blog to an e-commerce site or learning management system. If something doesn't exist or you need a custom solution, WordPress can be very easily extended through custom plugins. There are, of course, many ways to build a website. But, in my experience, WordPress provides the most power and flexibility and is backed by the largest community.

Cons

The greatest strength can sometimes also be the greatest weakness. Because WordPress is so easy to build on and the barrier to entry is so low, inexperienced developers are able to create plugins and add-ons which may degrade site performance and possibly introduce security vulnerabilities. In addition, because WordPress stores the full absolute URL for your website in various core settings, it's a big pain to migrate your site to a new domain. This makes moving sites between development, staging, and production much more of a pain than I wish it was. There are tools to help - like Local By Flywheel - but it's still annoying.

### "The best CMS for a non-programmer user!"

May 9, 2018

5.0

WP is easy to use and can be very powerful, when setup correctly. SEO optimization is great. Be careful with extensions since some that get discontinued may get you into problems. Wordpress can be used for any type of website, from blog, magazine to e-shop and learning portal.

Pros

Easy to use CMS for both users and administrators. Powerfull SEO gives fantastic results for positioning website. It is not just a blogging tool, it is a complete set for anybody to make an impressive presentation online. So practical, that anyone can use it. There is a great community around Wordpress which helps almost any problem to be solved. There is plenty plugins to modify it and adjust to specific needs. There is so many themes to choose and that look great on all devices. Some themes are very fast and have fantastic support. Amazingly simple update makes WP one of the easiest CMS to use and maintaing.

Cons

Wordpress has such a structure that one plugin can cause dysfunction, even breakdown. There can be a problem with server setup, such as PHP, SSL and sometimes. Categorization and search are sometimes hard if there is a lot of content. There are many black spots, security risks and vulnerabilities (Drupal has so much better structure and safety and stability). Often, WP gets too slow because of the JS scripts and untested or problematic code. Running multi-lingual site can be very problematic.

### "Best Website Builder Wordpress"

October 27, 2021

5.0

With WordPress, you can build a website that is capable of handling all your online needs. With this powerful and flexible tool in hand, it's easy to get started! However, when using the platform, make sure I know how and why before jumping right into building out pages or managing users on my site, which will help ensure success down the road (and avoid frustration).

Pros

I love WordPress. It's a versatile tool that fits many needs, and it has excellent quality, which makes me want to use it all of the time. I think it's because so many people know about this program and love using it, which made me want to try this app myself.

Cons

WordPress sites are often a high-value target for hackers who want access to your content and information. You may never know that you have been hacked until it's too late, especially if the hacker uses their weapon of choice: spamming! In order to protect yourself from these threats more should be done by looking at how well protected our website is against attacks.

### "Easy DIY Website Building"

October 13, 2022

I'm very happy that with Wordpress, I'm able to quickly build and edit websites. I saved a ton of money in doing it all myself and doing it fast.

Pros

The feature I like the most is that there are many paid themes to choose from to create a website. Wordpress allows me to build websites without paying a professional website builder and so save money and shorten turn around time. Also, there are decurity features now that prevent hackers - eg. 2FA, IP blacklisting.

Cons

Plugins must be updated frequently or hackers will find a way in. Also the more plugins you have the slower the site may take to load. It's easy to learn and there are so many free plugins that will enhance the performance of the website.

### "My Honest WordPress Review"

August 18, 2023

Our experience is generally positive because WordPress makes it easy to build professional websites within a very short time. It offers many themes and plugins to customize a website to meet clients expectations. The clean design that makes it easy for inexperienced individuals to get started without asking too much training.

Pros

I like its clean dashboard that allows me to choose theme, install relevant plugins, and manage content. I also like the compatibility with many apps and plugins we use to customize websites for our clients. Whether we want to enhance SEO, create contact forms, integrate with social media platforms, or enhance appearance, WordPress makes everything easy, especially for someone like me who learned web design on the job.

Cons

Sometimes you need to use too many plugins to meet the needs of the client since some clients request a website with very specific features. This can be time consuming and overwhelming. Some of our clients expressed concerns about WordPress security believing it could be targeted by hackers. However, I have not experienced any security challenges for time I've used it.

### "Wordpress: It's simply the best"

September 17, 2021

5.0

My experience with WordPress has been awesome. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to start blogging or build a website. it's so easy to use and you have complete freedom over your content.

Pros

I use WordPress as my blogs platform. I like the flexibility of this site builder. I was able to create my lifestyle blog easily with no technical knowledge. I like the freedom I enjoy with WordPress. I can publish whatever I want on my website without worrying about my site being shut down due to a violation of rules. I am also not tied to any hosting company. I am free to move my blog anywhere I want. That is great. Its publishing tool makes it easy for me to create, draft and schedule my content for publishing whenever I want. I was able to create a beautiful blog thanks to the thousands of themes to choose from. I also liked how I could test different themes without installing them. It gave me the chance to see how my blog would look before installing it. It also has a large number of plugins that I use to increase the functionality of my website.

Cons

I noticed that the more plugins installed, the slower my blog became. That also occurred when I uploaded high-resolution pictures on my website too. There are also times that the loading speed of my blog was slow. I had no idea what was causing it. I wish WordPress had an alert system that would indicate the exact cause of my slow website. That would help me fix the problem quickly. I also wish WordPress plugins were updated automatically. That will make running my website better.

### "This is one of the Best Softwares available."

October 24, 2018

5.0

I am a Blogger and have been running my own tech blog for over 4 years. Wordpress has been a great service all these years and provided me with various features and tool that I needed for my business. I really recommend Wordpress to anyone who want to setup a website for personal or business needs.

Pros

Hey everyone! If you are reading this right now, that means you are either searching for a software for your website or wanted to know about Wordpress. If you wonder how good Wordpress is, Let me tell you that this is one of the best available website softwares that you can find. It has both Managed version and Standalone version which you can use on your own hosting space. I am an author and founder of IndusMagazine and I've been writing for over 4 years and my blog has been running on Wordpress all these years and I never wanted to change to any other application. 1) It is easy to install and setup 2) This application has almost infinite number of themes and plugins to use. 3) It is free for everyone 4) Regular updates to stay intact with the market 5) Highly secure and almost unbreakable.

Cons

Every software have its own backdrops and Wordpress have them too. Though it is a great software, Sometimes it can be hard to setup certain themes or plugins. Users may need to have certain technical skills and knowledge to fix some annoying errors. I sometimes had to contact my theme developer in order to get help to fix my theme issues. Wordpress may leak data if the theme has any vulnerabilities. Wordpress need to take care of Nulled themes being available in the internet. These help hackers gain access to the website they are installed in. But this is not normal and doesn't happen frequently so we don't really need to worry about it.

### "Overwhelming at First"

October 25, 2018

5.0

I've had my ups and downs with WordPress. There are times that I would dread going through WordPress only to find that it was so easy to do something and then I've had times where I would be really confident about making an edit to the website but then I end up spending hours trying to get it to work just like I want it to and my confidence gets crushed.

Pros

It is without a doubt a very complex piece of website content management system if you are not tech savvy. It can feel overwhelming to use at the beginning and there's so many things that can be done that if you ask for help via their customer service it can be hard for them to understand exactly what it is you want to do especially if you are not tech savvy. Don't get me wrong it does a very great job of helping you edit a website without the use of html coding but sometimes I would find myself looking into the html coding section because it would be so much easier and direct that way than to go through their widget options to edit a menu. The plugins (which you can find by doing a quick google search) do save your life and they are so easy and fast to download onto your hard drive and then upload them to your WordPress account to install and run so that it does everything for you - like finding and fixing broken links. All I can say is that I have mixed feelings about WordPress and it should not be for the impatient as you will find yourself taking a lot of time to get things done right because if you rush through, wanting something immediate, then you risk losing all of your website content.

Cons

My company uses WordPress to edit the information on our website (adding pictures and new pages for blogs and etc.) and whenever I would get in there to edit something it's always a challenge to find what I'm looking for and I would have to click everywhere until I see what I need. Besides this factor, it is worth using to edit your web pages.

### "The Early Media Moguls Dream"

April 18, 2020

4.0

Overall Wordpress has helped me propel my business to new heights. Luckily I had help in figuring out things that were confusing at first, but overall I have been incredibly satisfied with the service from top to bottom.

Pros

The very best part of Wordpress is that you can start out for free. After doing so you quickly realize how much of an asset this product can be for you no matter what industry you’re in. The availability and ease of picking up domain names is second to none. Navigating the website and even designing it with their tools makes it incredibly convenient for the startup media team. It’s easy to publish on, has tools to take the thinking out of automatically sharing on all your platforms and hosts an array of options for your publishing benefit.

Cons

Least favorite is if you’re the type who needs constant human contact, you’re not going to find it here. It can be very difficult to get in touch with anyone on the support end and then getting to the right person can be a chore in and of itself.

### "Easiest and Fastest Way to Start a Blog or Website"

April 10, 2020

5.0

My overall experience with WordPress has been great. I am really happy with the platform and haven't had any major issues with it. I've built several blog and websites using WordPress and I haven't found any other platform that I would rather use. Once you learn your way around WordPress you'll find that it becomes very intuitive. It only took me a couple of days to become comfortable with all the different features. Also, with all the plugins that are available you can always find a solution for whatever problem you have. I recommend WordPress to anyone who is thinking about building their own blog and website and wants a platform that will be easy and intuitive.

Pros

I like that WordPress makes starting a blog quick and easy. You have almost everything that you need to launch a website and if there is something missing you can download a plugin. WordPress even offers free templates to get started. If you're looking for a custom theme you easily import one into WordPress. One of the reasons I chose to use WordPress is that I found out that 30% of all websites on the internet use WordPress. That alone should be enough to sell you on it. The reason I kept using WordPress is ease of use and customization. I've built several blogs, websites, and eCommerce sites using WordPress and I don't think I'll be trying any other platform anytime soon.

Cons

One of the things that I don't like about WordPress is all the plugins that do essentially the same thing. It makes it difficult to find the right tool. I usually just base my choice off of who has the most ratings but I know that there must be better solutions that aren't as popular. Also, I often have problems with plugin conflicting with one anther. It's hard to know what plugins will work with other plugins. Unfortunately, it's trial and error at this point. You just have to see what works and what doesn't.

### "Wordpress appeared ne my life to facilitate it, the best content management system "

May 29, 2018

5.0

For a long time I searched for a software that adjusted to my demands in the development of blogs, I got interesting programs but they did not cover my demands, either because of their complexity, or because of their lack of options to modify the templates. But Wordpress came to my life, and those problems when editing my blog are gone, leaving me with a good taste when using this software. A certified global support, and without leaving aside the support of the developments and users of the community that, permanently add new downloadable content to make the experience of using wordpress more pleasant. I highly recommend the use of this software

Pros

The most positive aspects that I find in this content manager is its license, quite versatile, which allows you to use a large part of your options for the design of blogs and web pages; Ease of use is essential when using this content manager, with the simple fact that you can do blogs without needing to have a lot of knowledge in computer science, this combined with its wide range of options as a content manager. They make it very competitive and enjoyable to use. Its developers and users of the wordpress community are constantly updating the platform with new downloads, plugins and additions.

Cons

One of the problems that occurs frequently and that in some way worries me is the security of information in the software, making me vulnerable to hacker attacks, information removal and backdoor codes that subtract information from my personal data in the blog, even without me noticing. However, I am aware of the wordpress team's ongoing work to overcome these vulnerabilities.

I could create custom sites (presentation pages, and also destinations with additional inside and out substance, overseen by an article group) that our clients were then ready to load up with their own substance and that would give them a chance to perform fundamental administration assignments all alone.

Pros

Wordpress makes it simple for article staff and/or your clients to make and deal with their own particular substance for their own sites, leaving just topic outline and improvement and advancement of extraordinary business usefulness up to you. The procedure of which is additionally helped by the tremendous measure of modules accessible for the stage.

Cons

Its fundamental advancements, which feel like they're stuck in the times of PHP4, are likewise not about acceptable with current programming improvement systems and conditions. On the off chance that you need to change the way a locally acquired subject shows a few qualities, you need to physically alter the topic's records, which you need to do again and again in the event that you refresh the topic, on the grounds that Wordpress' snares for programming engineers just won't cut it for generally customisations. Also, Wordpress additionally doesn't have any idea of MVC-like (or some other) designs for overseeing code and resources and it likewise needs local help for any sort of construct framework like snort, swallow, or webpack.

### "The Original Low-Code Revolution"

July 30, 2021

5.0

I rely on Wordpress daily. As a company, we deploy it to millions of served pages every month. You cannot get higher praise from enterprise users than reliability.

Pros

Wordpress was the original low-code revolution catalyst. People seem to forget that before Wordpress came around, you had to write pages by hand or use something like Dreamweaver to develop a site. I remember that, because I used to do it. Along came Wordpress and it totally democratized web development. We use it every day on industrial scales, serving millions of pageviews a month. Wordpress is robust, well supported and endlessly expandable.

Cons

Wordpress is a bit fragmented in its features, so your mileage may vary with certain plugins and themes. Also, over time, Wordpress has gotten slower and slower, and it's extremely prone to slowdowns when using more than 5 or 7 plugins. However, recent updates to the Wordpress core code as well as developments since PHP moved from version 5 to 7, have allowed it to remain competitive.

### "WordPress is a well rounded website builder"

October 22, 2020

5.0

i've been using wordpress for 6+ years and out of most of the website builders out there wordpress offers the best user experience for the cost. I highly recommend looking into wordpress if you are considering building a website.

Pros

Wordpress offers everything you could possibly need when it comes to building an basic to advanced website as well as e-commerce. There is a full archive of templates and themes to pick from that allows you to create a genuine website that doesn't look like all the other template based websites out there. Aside from the themes and template when it comes to building the site, you have access to a massive archive of plugins that allows you to add all sorts of different functions and features.

Cons

the biggest issue i have with Wordpress is the most recent update they made "Gutenberg". It changed how you go about editing pages in the back end of the site and i understand what they are trying to do, but it's still a little clunky and they need to refine it.

Reason for choosing WordPress

### "WordPress - My Favorite Content Management System"

March 7, 2020

5.0

I started blog article writing few years ago as a Freelancer for the clients, and then suddenly I came to know that there is a WordPress content management system where we can build our own blog. Then i joined WordPress official blog and created a free blog. I started writing on that blog. With the passage of time I realized that we can build and design any kind of website at WordPress like E-commerce, Business or Personal. Then I bought my own Hosting and Domain and I created my Own website with Top Level Domain name. My overall experience with WordPress is Incredible, because now I can design my own website.

Pros

According to my knowledge of WordPress the Pros of this software are too much. As a web developer we can design any type of website. As a theme developer we can build and design professional themes for the developers. As a plugin developer we can also build plugins. We can use existing free and paid themes to build our beautiful and stunning website. Even if we don't have knowledge about Programming languages, we can use WordPress. Because the dashboard of WordPress is really awesome, where we can create post, pages and products without the knowledge of difficult programming languages.

Cons

There are only a few number of plugins in WordPress, the use of those plugins is a bit difficult. According to my experience the use of Plugins also should easy for the new developers. All other things of WordPress Dashboard are really awesome and easy.

### "WordPress - the leading CMS for the next years"

March 22, 2019

5.0

I used WordPress to create a personal blog, a business site, and a web design related blog.

Pros

WordPress is easy to use and extremely powerful. These two features combined should attract the attention of anyone interested in creating and maintaining a site. First of all, WordPress is relatively simple to use. An average Internet user is able to create a WordPress powered website in just a few hours. Practically, all you have to do is to install a theme and a few plugins. Of course, more demanding people need to personalize their site. Luckily, the latest WordPress version (Gutenberg) allows you the site customization without writing any line of code. If you are like me (a newbie programmer) you will like the possibility of creating a cool site without writing code. Besides its simplicity, WordPress is versatile. Do you want to launch a small personal blog? WordPress is a good solution. Do you want to launch a big online store? WordPress is also a reliable solution. Finally, I prefer using WordPress due to a multitude of themes and plugins available. WordPress repository is full of good themes and plugins and there are many other premium ones if you want more features.

Cons

I spent a few minutes figuring what I like least about WordPress. This fact reveals that WordPress is a pretty solid choice. However, I consider that security is the Achilles heel. You have to invest time and resources to considerably strengthen a WordPress site security. Usually, if your site doesn't generate serious revenue, you are safe with a good security plugin. Sites that generate revenue are more attractive for hackers that will test any kind of vulnerabilities. Anyway, WordPress has way more positive aspects than negative.
