### "For all my websites, this is my Swiss Army Knife"

September 16, 2022

5.0

Since switching to WordPress, I've noticed a huge improvement in the look and feel of my website. It's so stable and fast! I've been able to build my site exactly how I want it with all the features. The developer community is also very helpful if you get stuck. Highly recommend this platform to anyone who wants to get started on their awesome business idea!

Pros

Since WordPress is so popular, most third-party tools already integrate with it. As a result, you will be able to use WordPress with your email marketing software, lead generation tool, SEO tool, CRM software, business phone service, and payment gateway.

Cons

You don't need to know how to code in order to use WordPress. Some basic HTML and CSS knowledge will simplify things considerably.

### "User Friendly Content Management System For Beginners & Advanced Users"

August 26, 2021

5.0

Pros

WordPress, whilst well known for being a blogging software, is the ideal content management system solution for both beginners and advanced users looking to create an online presence. With a huge selection of plugins and themes, both free and paid, you will be able to build almost anything using WordPress.

Cons

With a large number of features needing a custom plugin, your WordPress installation can become quite a large project taking up a lot of web space. In addition to this, a large number of premium plugins and themes out there are not optimised properly which can lead to considerable loading times for your website.

### "Best in Class Website CMS"

October 19, 2021

5.0

We can create powerful database driven website and ecommerce platforms for clients with WordPress more effeciently than with any other system. There is no reason to use other inferior platforms or bloated platforms when WordPress can scale to meet your needs.

Pros

As a WordPress user and developer for the past 12 years I can say that no other system is as user friendly, upgradable or expandable.

Cons

The standard themes are quite basic, so you are required to purchase premium themes if you want to get the full Website Builder featers that are required for some website and some clients for making the ease of use, even easier.

### "Easier than It Use to Be"

April 12, 2021

3.0

Overall Wordpress is not the way I personally would go in choosing a website. I still find the process confusing, daunting and overwhelming within the context of all the other social media platform in which I have to keep up with to maintain a presence in the area of photography.

Pros

Wordpress was always the considered the way to go for blogging for many years. I loved using it and being about post without payment and finding the functions of it user friendly. It was sometimes still hard to navigate and in the early years web design and coding was not something that average person could do. So Wordpress made this a go round that was simple and useable.

Cons

There are features of Wordpress that are still quite confusing for those of us who are not real familiar with how web design works. There consumer service I have no found to be particularly helpful in the recent months and the new improvements, although better, still make Wordpress hard to navigate for the amateur user.

### "Best engine for creating elegant websites without coding"

February 10, 2020

5.0

We wanted to build a website that could be maintained by a person who wasnt tech savy w.r.t coding/ programming. WordPress enabled us to quickly deploy the website and we are easily able to maintain the website by creating multiple user accounts having various levels of access for editing the website. We bought a droplet on DigitalOcean (VPS Hosting Provider) and installed wordpress on it and it was up and running in 5 to 10 mins.

Pros

1\. The best thing about Wordpress is the ability to install Plugins. I use Elementor Plugin with my WordPress instance for creating webpages. Its a fully drag and drop page builder. 2. Another thing about this software is the fact that it is opensource and free to use. So I can host my WordPress instance on my own server without requiring to pay any licensing fees or remembering to pay renewal fees on an annual basis. 3. The community surrounding the software is very helpful. More often than not, every issue I faced was already asked by someone else and in the replies to the post asking the said issue already had answers for resolving the same.

Cons

Not all plugins are tested for security by the wordpress team before listing it in the Plugins Section.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Joomla was looking complicated and did not have a community like WordPress surrounding it.

### "WordPress is the best CMS platform"

October 11, 2021

5.0

WordPress is fantastic. That's why it's the most popular blogging platform on the planet. Its rich ecosystem attracts a ton of great contributors and developers making a huge number of plugins and themes available to you, the user. If you've ever had to choose a CMS before, perhaps for a client or personal website, you know how tough it can be to make a decision. We all want something different from our platforms and as developers we certainly have high expectations as well. Whether you're new to WordPress, just looking at alternatives, or just wanting to refresh your memory this article will give you the information you need to move forward with confidence using this platform.

Pros

WordPress is an extraordinarily popular content management system (CMS). It powers 25 percent of the entire Internet, a massive chunk of the sites that you visit on a daily basis, and it's one of the easiest and most powerful ways to build and maintain a website. WordPress' popularity is one of the reasons that it's an excellent choice for blogs — it's a turn-key, easy-to-use platform that requires no technical knowledge at all. The CMS is also incredibly customizable, meaning that you can use it to build a blog, a website, an online database, a portfolio site, you name it. WordPress also has a massive community of developers, designers, and consultants who build themes and plugins for its CMS, making it even easier to customize WordPress to suit your needs.

Cons

\* Can be complicated to set up \* Can be vulnerable to attacks \* Not ideal for complex websites \* Requires server space \* Requires domain hosting \* No mobile version

### "Excellent CMS"

August 31, 2021

Pros

3rd party support for Wordpress; themes, plugins and customization options is unparalleled. What's great is the ease of use for clients to takeover after brief training upon project completion.

Cons

The only downside is that not all plugins may be compatible with newly updated versions of WordPress releases.

### "Blog + Application Framework + Content Management System"

November 26, 2019

5.0

Using WordPress, we were able to rebuild our public facing website and our staff intranet simultaneously on one installation. And we were about to roll out features and updates at a pace that suited us. In the title, I mentioned Application Framework - WordPress is so extensible and flexible that you can treat it as a framework either apart from or in conjunction with the content management system and blogging engine.

Pros

For starters, the price can't be beat. WordPress is open source, so it's free to use in pretty much any way you need. With most free software, there's no support, but the WordPress community is so massive that you can find help for nearly anything WordPress related. If you're a developer, it's incredibly easy to add and customize features by writing plugins. If you're a designer, you have total control over the appearance of your site with the WordPress templating system.

Cons

There's not much to dislike about WordPress. As a developer, I find some of the older APIs to be a bit unwieldy, but most of those are being deprecated in favor of new methods as updates roll out. The new block editor isn't my favorite thing in the world, but it can be disabled if you need.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Once we decided to move away from Joomla, we didn't even consider anything else.

Switched from

[Joomla](https://www.capterra.com/p/161648/Joomla/)

We found Joomla to be too dated, both under the hood and visually. The extensibility and community support we need just isn't there with Joomla like it is with WordPress.

### "WordPress allows me to have amazing websites!"

June 29, 2022

5.0

Overall, WordPress has served me very well for many years. There were times I was frustrated with some things, but it has since become much more stable and reliable. Just make sure you purchase extra security to avoid hacks.

Pros

I love how I can build and customize a website without knowing code. You can customize it to your liking and vision.

Cons

The learning curve is very steep. It took me a lot of time to learn how to use WordPress to make it do what I want it to do. If you're not tech-savvy, I would hire someone to build it for you and teach you how to maintain and update it.

Pros

Pros

My experience with WordPress has been wonderful as Blogging has been easy, building the company website has been easy too, Posting has it's full capacity and operations, easy to use in like other softwares that are not easy to use.

Pros

What I like the most about WordPress is that it is easy to use in website building as a beginner, the addition of other templates and plugins and Many more

Cons

What I like the least about WordPress is that it is easily hacked if not properly secured, outdated plugins or themes are also an added advantage for hacking, has a lot of loopholes that needs to be covered with the help of an expert.

Cons

### "Soft Review"

December 24, 2020

Blocks are the sure next step seeing avatars, IA and technology have taken a leap, the new market demands that you do not tell your lead what you can do, but rather convert them into your customers instantly by being consumer-ready at any given time, the platform does that. It does not say I can give you a website, rather avails opportunities that were before you came, it does deliver and does not say I can host, rather it tells you to host now. I believe this platform software funnels you not as the lead but as a customer, despite the actual ideal that they are yet to establish the mailing and procuring parts.

Pros

A deliberately steadfast and clear platform about its fiercely focused block website building, which is the in-thing for quick and instant website construction, erection, and hosting. This niche is vehemently influenced by the multi-stream economy generation, that demands a right now and on-point service delivery and this software platform does that perfectly dealing away with the traditional one-month or so waiting and co mitigation process. Based on and influenced by doing a current design, finish and host web instantaneously, cutting the cost of the programmer and designer with all their costs. There is a deliberate classification of pre-designed templates that are so many they are definitely leaving the customer spoilt for choice (provided the can afford a good package), yet with a few animated designs that gives you the choice of multifunctionality within your design space. State of the art for a business or individual who is looking for a clean-cut professional looking website. It's a perfect steal just looking at the templates and flow of workability. The whole thing comes with the option of being hosted within, which means you can get your domain within and go live instantly.

Cons

One sure thing that is troubling about this builder is it does not have an internal e-mailing dedicated portal, meaning you have to endure further charges to get a multiple professional e-mail dispensation. Meaning when you set it, you should be surely ready to have a budget for communication and commerce,

### "One of the Easiest Platforms to Use"

I can’t say enough! I really enjoy just how easy everything comes together, including the simple method of inserting photos on various posts.

Pros

The best thing about this platform is that you can just start creating your blog without having to go through the difficulty of mastering tedious interfaces. It’s much like plug and play, but more like type and go!

Cons

At first it was a bit of a challenge in terms of layering my pages and where I wanted everything to fit in, but I picked it up in no time as I kept typing day to day.

### "WordPress is simply the standard for a reason"

September 8, 2018

5.0

I love WordPress. It's worth the time getting to know it. I use it every hour of the day and wouldn't trade it for anything. My clients love it to once they learn where everything is. I just wish they would modernize the admin area a bit and make it easier to keep clean without installing plugins.

Pros

It's hard to say everything I like. My entire business is built around WordPress. It's one of the most powerful platforms to build websites on, and that's proven by the fact that nearly a third of all websites use some form of WordPress. The WordPress core is stable and secure, and there are tens of thousands of plugins (not all good, of course) available to do almost anything you could want. It's powerful, flexible, and has a large and talented group of developers working around the globe on it all the time.

Cons

WordPress has never been the easiest platform to use for my clients. I provide training for them, and they get it pretty quickly. But it could use some cleaning up of the interface to make it flow better. The admin can get a bit bogged down by inconsistent standards among plugin developers, and there seems to be no central requirements for this. As a result, menus can get complicated, notifications are all over the place, etc.

September 23, 2021

I've been using WordPress to build my websites for over 11 years now and I couldn't be happier! I also build websites for others and self-hosted WordPress is what I always recommend!

Pros

What I love about WordPress is its security features and customization capabilities. I know my site is protected and I can even download extra protection right from the WP Plugin Directory. I can also style and customize every aspect of my website.

Cons

I do wish there were better options for getting rid of spam comments and also, I just hate Guttenberg, which has now even extended to widgets, which is horrendous. Thankfully, there are plugins to reverse Guttenburg.
