### "Great place to build a website!"

March 17, 2022

5.0

Overall a great place to build a website, yes, it's a learning curve, but to have the flexibility to make changes you want, it's great!

Pros

I've use this for years and I love the websites/blogs I've been able to create with it.

Cons

Sometimes I find it a bit difficult to find the setting I'm trying to work on, like I need to google to find it, but that's just because there's so many features to navigate!

### "Essential for the creation of a website "

March 16, 2021

5.0

Wordpress gives us access to many features and skills that can be learned very quickly. Its abundant and accessible documentation allows a quick and efficient learning. I recommend Wordpress for the realization of any project. Making websites has never been so easy. Even if you don't know how to code, the possibility to integrate plugins can simplify the task.

Pros

I really like Wordpress for the ease of building a website. The use on different devices makes it a very interesting program. It allows you to be mobile and to have access to the software anywhere and anytime and that's really a big plus! Even for those who are not computer literate, building a site becomes possible with Wordpress. The program is very serious and it has become very popular. We can easily find different tutorials on google or Youtube to help us create a web page. There are many interesting choices in terms of customization and a large number of plugins at our disposal. The numerous and regular updates allow Wordpress to evolve and it is really appreciable.

Cons

Some features can sometimes be complicated to use and additional learning may be necessary to deploy a more complex website. It is necessary to keep up to date with the different updates in order to see the evolution of the plugins and to keep your own site(s) secure. For beginners, it can be complex to understand all the possibilities that Wordpress offers.

### "One of the best CMS for building websites "

February 25, 2020

4.0

I was looking for a CMS that was easier to learn and build websites. I started with Joomla but somehow I felt it did not meet my requirement. Someone suggested me to try WordPress. There was some learning curve but I can tell you its worth it.

Pros

1) I have used Joomla in past but there were limitations on what you can do, I have found WordPress to be way better especially because of the sheer size of marketplace you can find plugins to install any feature 2) It also has a wide variety of professional themes ready to be edited and at a very low cost. 3) It has a huge community and tons of tutorial on YT so support is relatively easy. 4) In the country I am in you can find lots of WordPress designer and developer compared to other solution.

Cons

1) Because you are heavily relying on plugins for additional features your site's security may get compromised. You oughta be careful before installing any plugins. 2) WordPress is updating the CMS to combat security and rollout advanced features however it has always been full of bugs.

### "A bloggers dream "

March 1, 2021

4.0

Overall I would recommend anyone who is looking to build a blog site or any simple type of website to use Wordpress the positives will always outway the headaches.

Pros

When it comes to creating a blog website there are a lot of factors you need to consider. Knowing you own your site and no one can take it away from you is very important. Being able to create your own site simply is also just as important when you do not have a lot of site-building knowledge.

Cons

It can be frustrating when it comes to emails sometimes, for example, I wanted to switch the email address I created my blog with but for whatever reason Wordpress will not recognize and accept it when causing issues with applying a new application or anything else.

### "Amazing web platform"

May 1, 2019

4.0

I have been using Wordpress for making websites, both personal and for work purposes, as it is one of the best options out there.

Pros

It is easy to install taking just a few seconds, it is available for free, there is a lot of documentation out there, there is a huge library of plugins which expands its functionality and it is constantly updated and optimized.

Cons

While Wordpress doesn't require coding knowledge, it is required to learn some stuff in advance. Making backups, in case something goes wrong because of a plugin or an update, seeking to speed up loading times, fixing a few security aspects or even messing the site configuration by updating the theme.

### "The most popular CMS for many reasons - we live and breathe WordPress!"

May 11, 2018

5.0

We build WordPress sites and solutions on a daily basis.

Pros

Where to start? WordPress is a great entry level to advanced solution for building and maintaining websites. You can use WordPress.com for a simple hosted website and you can choose your own theme and install plugins for extra functionality. Or, you can install the WordPress software onto your own hosting and take it to the next level. There are 1000's of free and paid WP themes and even more plugins that'll give you the look and functionality that you're looking for. With a HUGE online community, you can find the answers that you're looking for to scale and customize as needed.

Cons

Like SquareSpace or Weebly, the hosted WordPress.com version allows you to create a site easily but lacks a lot of functionality and options. The self-hosted WordPress version is DIY so depending on what you're trying to do, can be easy or may require a designer or programmer to the get everything just right. Security is always an issue with WordPress but that's mainly because it's so popular - WordPress does a great job detecting and providing updates so as long as you keep your WordPress installation up to date, you'll be pretty safe.

### "Lots of options but steep learning curve"

August 28, 2018

4.0

I have enjoyed building websites on WordPress but sometimes the management of the website with multiple updates from WordPress and the often incompatibility of those updates with various plugins has been frustrating to manage. However, I like having options and WordPress, for better or worse, gives me those options.

Pros

I love that WordPress is free, if you use their templates, and that many developers have created plugins to enhance the WordPress functionality. WordPress community is very helpful and there are always update to the platform. You can create the website of your dreams on WordPress due to the "open nature" of the platform.

Cons

Because WordPress is not an all-in-one platform like Wix or Squarespace, building your website with various plugins can expand the functionality of your website, however, this can also make it harder to manage. This ad hoc nature of WordPress can affect the speed and safety of your site because you're depending on the reputation and professionalism of several developers to update their plugins for WordPress. For those who aren't comfortable or interested in keeping up with the latest updates for their website, WordPress may not be the best option unless you want to outsource this responsibility.

### "Great but not the Perfect One"

December 27, 2018

5.0

I have been using WordPress for a long time now, it is definitely great and the best thing about it is that it can be as easy and as complex as you want it to be. In other words, WordPress can adapt as per your needs. If you are looking to build a professional website for your business at an affordable cost then WordPress is definitely the best choice available. WordPress gives you full freedom by making you the in charge of your website so that you can run your website your own way. WordPress is very easy to use and there are a number of tutorials available on the internet which will help you understand everything about using the WordPress. I recommend every beginner who wants to create a website to make money that WordPress is the best possible choice for you.

Pros

I have been using WordPress for my Websites for a long time now and it is only because of the below-mentioned advantages. - Popular (Almost 31% of the websites all over the world use WordPress which turns out to be 74.6 Million Websites) - Content Management System(CMS) (Its CMS is great and it is very easy to navigate through the Content and Pages) - Plugins (WordPress gives you access to a large number of plugins and add-ons so that you can easily develop your website the way you want it) - WordPress is not very Expensive - Websites using WordPress load quickly. - Mobile Friendly (WordPress Websites work easily on Mobile devices)

Cons

Though I love WordPress , it also has a few disadvantages attached to it which I have listed below. - Custom Layouts are a bit tricky to navigate through. - WordPress websites are always prone to hacks. - No Built-in Drag n drop (Most of the beginners find it hard to learn the basics and get familiar with it)

### "Popular, but not my first choice"

September 21, 2021

3.0

Pros

WordPress is known as the go-to for websites, so I mostly use it so that I can have knowledge of it for my clients. It isn't my top-pick. I do love that you get a free custom icon for browsing tabs.

Cons

Really, I wish it was just more user friendly. Especially for free versions. It seems like everytime I want to do something, I have to find a video to watch. Thankfully there are a lot available.

### "Wordpress is the most powerful CMS"

January 8, 2020

5.0

Wordpress is undoubtedly my favourite CMS. I learned so much from wordpress in my web development career. Wordpress has made web develpopment easier for me. It has been over 4 years of me using wordpress. And I will continue using it.

Pros

Wordpress is that one software that meets everyone's requirement whether small, medium or large. Its the go-to software for beginners as it is easy to use. The possibilities with wordpress are just seamless. Everything that I want in my website can be done with wordpress. The wordpress community is so huge and always ready to help. There are so many free and paid plugins and themes to choose from. Wordpress keeps on updating and brings out new features every once in a while. Tweaking website designs can be done with a ease.

Cons

Sometimes few plugins are causing errors on the software. Backing up wordpress website can be harder and time taking. Not all features are present on wordpress by default for that you have to use a third party plugins and widget. Which can be freemium and require additional cost. Its is daunting for non-technical users to fix if something broke on the website.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Recommendation from peers, other review sites.

Pros

Cons

As a CMS system, it is mind-blowing. But if they pay attention to Speed optimization it will be greater Good.

### "Not the easiest software out there these days"

January 26, 2019

4.0

Depending on your level of tech expertise, WordPress can have a steep learning curve--but once you've learned to use it, you can use it forever!

Pros

Full disclosure: I am not a software designer. I'm a nonprofit manager, and I was tasked with creating a website to showcase our new grant opportunity. Overall, WordPress is a fairly simple way to build an attractive and functional website. If you've done any kind of blogging, you'll be fairly familiar with the format: most kinds of pages you'll need to update will feel just like writing a blog post. The good news is that WordPress is so common that there are many, many useful guides to help you along the way. The bad news is that you're going to need them, because WordPress can be complicated. I found myself wandering over to our IT department often, because even the WordPress's official guides needed to be decoded for a layperson like me.

Cons

The thing I found most confusing was editing my website's navigation. It took me quite a while to figure out the difference between pages and post. Like I said, however, there are many guides out there to help with WordPress, and with the right resources I got my problems solved fairly quickly.

### "WordPress for website development"

August 24, 2021

4.0

Pros

I love WordPress because it has so many features, plugins and options. They offer templates but the templates can be manipulated to be exactly what you want. There are compatible plugins for everything you can think of. The dashboards are simple to navigate and every update, they have something new to offer.

Cons

I wouldn't say I like least about WordPress but overall you do have to have some knowledge of web development and HTML in order to create a website that doesn't look like it was built from a template. However, for those that are complete novices, they do have those templates so even they can create a website. I think it's actually a good thing that they can accommodate both extremes in one software.

### "My first website experience on Wordpress"

January 11, 2021

5.0

I am writing this review after testing some more platforms like WordPress and I must say that it is the easiest of all of them and the most reliable one, it gives you so many free tools and plugins that if you are a newbie and you do not have much money to invest than go for WordPress, Hands down it is the best

Pros

2 years back when I was in the first year of college I decided to become an entrepreneur and for that, I need a website, and choosing WordPress was one of the best decisions of my life like it is so easy to use, you do not have to use your brain if you are working on WordPress it is that user friendly, it also consists of my free plugins which are very useful and because it is free it gives a different look to the websites of the people who used it. When I started making my website I was afraid and confused because I do not have a single idea on how to start but when I start making it I have completed it within 1 week it is that level user-friendly.

Cons

It doesn't have many drawbacks, but website go down without any notice, and to add many features to your website you need some plugins and it is also a slow platform due to all the added plugins and the last con is that WordPress limited SEO optimizing features.

### "WordPress: A Convoluted Mess That May Make Sense"

August 31, 2021

3.0

I have had a mixed experience with WordPress. For what it is good for, there is no alternative. Yet, I have had a better experience with many other alternatives. Cloud-hosted website builders let you get a more secure online faster. If you just need blogging or e-commerce, industry-specific self-hosted services can also work better. If you need a variety of content on one site, WordPress may make sense, but for many others I would highly recommend turning elsewhere.

Pros

WordPress' best feature is the fact that it is self-hosted. If you want a graphical monolithic CMS on your own server, there are few other options. However, if you are looking at server-hosted, especially WordPress.com, there are better options elsewhere.

Cons

WordPress is insecure and slow. Alternative self-hosted solutions generally have better security and much faster page load speeds. Running WP takes a lot more IT than even other self-hosted solutions to counteract the inefficient design.

### "WordPress is the premier content management platform"

April 21, 2020

5.0

I am an adminiatrator and daily WordPress user for nearly the last decade. I edit content, create content, implement new solutions for the platform and even do line edits to platform functionality from time to time. I consider myself a power user.

Pros

WordPress is a robust solution to build and manage a wide variety of web content. Whether you need a simple website with static content or something incredibly intensive, like a news or magazine website with daily updates, WordPress caters to users from casual to professional.

Cons

While WordPress is a free solution, many of the best features are third-party additions and plugins. This allows for maximum customizability, but often the support for these additions is lacking. Do your research, read reviews and study all of the potential issues when attempting to customize the platform for your needs.

### "WordPress Best CMS"

September 9, 2019

5.0

My overall experience with WordPress has been outstanding. I have used WordPress back end on every website that I have owned. I can edit all my websites efficiently using WordPress. WordPress has been a very reliable and robust piece of software.

Pros

I like that WordPress is a fully customizable content management system. I like the fact that whatever I need for my website I can find with a WordPress plugin. One of the best parts about WordPress is that it comes with built in themes and designs to make your website look professional. Also, WordPress can be used as backend software for your domain. I like that WordPress has a built-in administrative side to its software that can only be accessed by website owners or members of your website. I like that there are a ton of videos, tutorials and resources available to learn how to use the system.

Cons

WordPress does have a learning curve. While the software has a beginner level feel to it, the platform can be extremely complex to learn once you start integrating different plugins. WordPress software vs WordPress blogging platform can be confusing as well. People may not understand that the wordpress.com website is not the same as the WordPress CMS software.

### "A User-Friendly Platform for All Website Needs"

January 31, 2023

5.0

My overall experience with WordPress seems positive, but with a few areas for improvement such as website speed, commenting system, and achieving a unique look. Despite these, you still highly recommend the platform for its versatility, user-friendliness, and fantastic community support.

Pros

I love the versatility and user-friendliness of WordPress! The platform has many plugins and themes, allowing me to customize my website to fit my specific needs. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple for beginners to create a beautiful and functional website. The community support is fantastic, and I appreciate the constant updates to enhance security and add new features. Overall, WordPress is my go-to choice for creating websites.

Cons

While I overall enjoy using WordPress, one aspect I would like to see improved is its speed and performance. At times, the platform can run slow with a heavy load of plugins and media, causing frustration for both the website owner and visitors. Additionally, despite the numerous customization options available, I've found it challenging to achieve a unique look for my website without using a custom theme or hiring a developer.
