### "Wordpress review"

Honestly, it was my best experience working on WordPress because of its great features.

Pros

The ease of working on WordPress is one of the best things that made me love working on this program.

Cons

Perhaps the cost of subscribing to WordPress may be a bit high for some people.

### "Endless possibilities - endless headaches in the wrong hands"

November 6, 2019

4.0

I've been using Wordpress since it's conception and it's developed into a beast of a tool. The community is supportive and while there's no customer service, you can find a free answer to almost every problem. I use Squarespace and ShowIt and Webflow, but always come back to Wordpress because of it's versatility.

Pros

Its flexibility of being an open source software, while also it's vulnerability, creates endless possibilities. Paired with the right plugins, Wordpress can do what almost every app out there does, from one hub. The biggest pro is that it's self hosted - you control the content and never have to 'rent' your website and tools. Second biggest pro is that the core is free and there's so many more good plugins that are free to get started - it's the perfect gateway for freelancers, and it's probably what helped build the virtual freelancer economy.

Cons

The admin interface is clunky - non-techy clients get lost and overwhelmed quickly When setup incorrectly, it can break easily Not natively secure - needs additional plugins and correct hosting The need of plugins can be overwhelming and cause site lag Time-consuming setup to get it just right

### "My favorite website platform that allows for the customization that I need"

May 1, 2020

5.0

As a daily user of Wordpress, I am often learning new ways to use the platform for my sites. It is my go-to recommendation for most people creating a site because it allows users like myself to be creative and not be restricted by the limitations other site builders have.

Pros

\- Customization is important to me, and Wordpress allows us to do just that - Lots of plugins, themes, and add-ons available - Low-cost website solution

Cons

\- There is a learning curve that takes users time to learn how to use the platform - It will take more time to create as it is not as simple as premade site builders.

### "I have used it to develop 20+ websites for myself, and for clients."

April 10, 2018

4.0

Pros

Installation of both Wordpress and the useful themes and plugins is very straightforward, and is supported by the website management software at most web hosting companies. It is easy to use and simple to maintain your website. There is a vast array of additional functionality that can easily be installed via plugins. Themes (Wordpress's term for website template) are also easy to install, and the commercial ones sell at very reasonable prices. Anyone who has used MS Word should have no problem maintaining their website.

Cons

Because hackers are continually trying to hack into the software, Wordpress regularly releases versions that block attacks and plug holes. This means that the software must be kept up to date, or you could be hacked. Many hosting companies will automatically update Wordpress on your website. This can cause problems if your plugins have not yet been upgraded by the provider to be compatible with the latest version of Wordpress. Result? You site - or some functions - might stop working overnight. Plugins don't always work as advertised, and it is sometimes nearly impossible to get help with the issue. Occasionally plugins will interfere with each other, causing unpredictable failures. The only way to debug is to disable the plugins and then reactivate them one at a time until the problem appears. Web hosting companies don't offer technical support for Wordpress, and getting answers from the WP forum is sometimes problematic.

### "Una mirada crítica al poderoso Wordpress"

October 11, 2022

5.0

Reason for choosing WordPress

### "Wordpress - You will enjoy using it"

November 24, 2019

5.0

I create websites for associations of citizens, businesses and individuals using the WordPress platform. The ease of updating new content and inserting new content delights all of my clients. After the invention of the printing machine, WordPress is second to me in the order.

Pros

WordPress is a free CMS system that is upgraded and improved on a daily basis. There are countless add-ons to upgrade it for your business needs. It is easy to learn how to use it. There is a large community on the net that you can turn to for help. I just adore it because it provides unprecedented opportunities for those who have any sense of the arts and creativity.

Cons

If you consider that in 2-3 hours you can learn to use WordPress almost like a pro, I really can't find it flawed.

### "An Open-Source Content Management System"

April 28, 2019

5.0

WordPress is a great platform to work together as the content management helps in managing the posts. Build-in social share help in sharing the content with the target group or person. In-depth status help to know the details and interest of the visitors. WordPress is the biggest community and have covered one-third of the internet share. The different enrich plugins help to customize and secure our blog.

Pros

WordPress is an open-source content management system that helps in creating the website and blogs. WordPress creates URLs are SEO friendly and helps in improving your google page ranking. WordPress provides the prefix names to your tables that helps to secure you from any kind of SQL injection attack. WordPress handles the different types of media types so efficiently. Customizing the themes is easy if you know the coding well. The response and load time of WordPress is great and can be enhanced in case of static website or blog.

Cons

WordPress is the world's most popular content management system that make the hackers first target so WordPress should keep architect complex and make it less vulnerable. WordPress should change the default settings that are most vulnerable.

### "Learn some basics, then use wordpress"

June 6, 2019

5.0

My overall experience with wordpress was very positive, it allowed me to run an accessible website while also running a gallery. Without this software we wouldn't have been available for press, for events, and for promoting artists. I would recommend Wordpress to other artists.

Pros

This software allows you to create a very clean and interactive website. I started using wordpress a few years ago when my friends and I started an artist - run - center. We used wordpress to create different pages showing off our art, clickable links for events, landing pages and much much more. After learning some basics, I was able to create the wordpress, as well as using google to look up how to do certain things. At first I was a bit intimidated but then I learnt some of the basics of the set up and I soon found that I could get a certain amount of competency once I had some practice. The website worked very well and we were able to then edit it regularly. Editing a website with updates, new photos, and new shows is an essential part of running a gallery, the ease of wordpress was great because it allowed me to be able to edit without having to spend hours and hours and I was able to avoid needing to hire anyone. These days, hiring someone to do your graphics and a website is an extra expense that is better to avoid. I was able to avoid that expense.

Cons

I found at times wanting to add certain features was harder than I thought it would be, and I really wanted to tailor things. Sometimes either due to the limitations of my own website building wordpress knowledge or the limitations of the software, I had to accept that I could not have it an exact way and expand what I found acceptable. I think as the years go on I learn more about website building, and therefore this becomes less and less of an issue, which is very positive for me. I think that it would be great to learn more.

### "Understanding Child Themes has changed how I feel about WordPress. It's awesome."

May 10, 2018

5.0

integrated contact form handlers is a huge plus. I am able to prototype a usable CMS for a client much faster and custom theme it using child themes.

Pros

I used to think Wordpress was only good for a few niche builds, but since child themes, I feel like I finally have the control that I need to customize a an installation while providing updates without breaking the production site. When a client needs functionality behind a login portal / paywall or simply wants to be able to update their own content, WordPress is usually my first go to. There is a huge community of plugins. There is a lot of documentation online and troubleshooting through stack overflow.

Cons

Sometimes a WordPress site can be a bit bloated and heavy on load times. This is more of an issue with plugins and users than with the CMS itself however. Most developers could get in there and fix it however it would be nice to see more control over plugin load order per page via the backend so general users could help keep their page load times down. What else can I say? There isn't much to dislike about a free CMS that has complete flexibility....

### "Your software of choice"

June 15, 2023

5.0

Overall, WordPress is a good site for both beginners and advanced users. They offer services that will cut across all users, both naïve and experienced users.

Pros

They provide a good template for use which is equally user friendly. You can be able to create your website without a lot of struggle. The plugins are on another level in terms of workability. One can share post easily.

Cons

The biggest undoing with WordPress is the lack of understanding that it is a giant software company.

### "Easily setup and manage your website"

April 5, 2024

Pros

It's a very robust platform with many years backing up its technology. For everyone seeking to create a nice looking website quite easily, it's definitely worth your time to learn how to use WordPress. There are tons of plugins that help you easily setup different parts of your website with just a few clicks.

Cons

Not as easy as some of its competitors, especially if you're looking into a very basic website without future content management etc.

### "WordPress Review "

August 29, 2021

4.0

The business problem we are solving is access to our current and new readers. The challenge faced has been reaching new audiences as Search Engine Optimization was a bit of a challenge. But the readership has been increasing lately.

Pros

The feature we found most impactful is the ease of creating and deploying a website on the platform. Integration with our team and existing infrastructure were also simple as no extra training was required for our staff to navigate and manage content on the site.

Cons

What I liked least about the platform is the fact that integrating SEO tools was a little complicated compared to other web builders I have used before.

### "Best Website Builder I ever Used"

August 20, 2020

4.0

My overall experience with WordPress was quite well, actually. I enjoy using their dynamic features all the time. With WordPress I started getting more leads for my company and reached potential customers as well. And I have never encountered any issues with WordPress till now.

Pros

I like WordPress mostly because of their easy website building process, features, and support. WordPress provides easy drag and drop platform, for nontechies like us to start building our own website as we always wanted. And the most exciting feature about WordPress is that we can use it on any devices whether it's a pc or mobile or a tablet.

Cons

The last thing I don't like about WordPress is that while designing the pages, I get stuck sometimes for fewer seconds, and in the next moment, it starts working well.

### "Wordpress Review"

July 7, 2020

4.0

Overall, it has been a great experience. I found once you get over the learning curve it is a really powerful and great tool for developing websites. There are tons of options and I have found that there is a plugin for any type of website you are designing.

Pros

The biggest Pro for me is the Wordpress Community. I found that most of the time I can get on the Wordpress forums and get answers to my questions. Rarely have I found that my issues were unique. There always seems to be someone that had the problem before and has given a solution. When I have posted questions on different forums I usually get really good responses and people tend to follow through until the issue gets resolved.

Cons

The amount of plugins in the Wordpress repository. I do find it frustrating sometimes trying to find a good plugin. There are a lot of choices and trying to test and figure out which are of good quality and one that aren't can be really time consuming. If there was a better way to review and rate the plugins that would be really great.

### "Creare siti web... in pochi click"

May 11, 2023

5.0

Cons

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing WordPress

### "Wordpress gives anyone from developer to blogger the ability to make a great website"

March 6, 2019

5.0

Wordpress offers a consistently coded, flexible software to build any website. It's simple enough for a new blogger to dig into and complex enough for large, enterprise-level, business solutions. My favorite benefit of Wordpress is allowing the business owner or blogger to make additions and changes to their website without needing a programmer. It also allows designers and programmers a base to create complex and beautiful websites.

Pros

I like the large community building and supporting Wordpress. If I have a question or can't get something to work the way I want it to, I can search Google for a multitude of answers. There are specific communities surrounding different aspects of Wordpress from shopping carts to design.

Cons

Sometimes because it is a community building it, significant needed changes can take longer than desired. And when major changes come, there is a lot of necessary preparation to make sure your website doesn't crash due to the changes. The other concern is the growing amount of attempts to hack website built with Wordpress. It is essential to keep the website software up to date to resist known issues with older editions of Wordpress and plugins.

### "Wordpress best CMS"

February 9, 2021

5.0

I have used Wordpress for over a decade and I can safely say that it is one of the best, if not the best CMS for 10 years+. It's featureful and yet not too complicated to use. It's free and open source.

Pros

Wordpress is free and open source which makes it great for making multiple websites. And it's the industry standard for a reason, it has a lot of open source plugins that make it even better.

Cons

I wish there was a way for updates to auto-roll out and at the same time not bug out the cms. However, because of so many plugins available that conflict with each other, this seems like a nigh impossible task.

### "Setup websites FAST with little technical knowledge!"

January 3, 2020

3.0

It allowed us to set up a blogging site for our creative team in less than a couple hours - and GO LIVE which was amazing considering the typical development cycle for our Dev team to create something like this would have taken a month or more with many folks involved along the way. It was easy to set up and our creative team took to writing articles with almost no training. It's very intuitive for posting content, a little bit more complex on the initial setup but I would say most non technical people would be able to set up on their own without much of a headache.

Pros

Wordpress makes it easy to put a website together and go live QUICK with no development needed. For the non technical users it is basically point and click, though it can be confusing at first with so many options available depending on the template you choose. The layouts are user friendly and MOST options are pretty much straight forward, advanced options tend to require some reading of the documentation. Their support has always been amazing, quick to answer questions and on occasion have even been able to provide some basic support for 3rd party add-ons which is rare for most companies. We use Wordpress daily to manage a blog site and a couple of prototype sites as proof of concepts on a paid account.

Cons

Hosting through Wordpress.com is very limited even on their highest level paid account your options are very limited compared to rolling out your own Wordpress server that virtually gives you unlimited options. However managing your own Wordpress install on a dedicated server requires a level of technical ability and maintenance that not all will be interested in. If you do not need a lot of custom features and integrations Wordpress is amazing - if you are looking to really customize and integrate your site with other apps it's a little more complicated and managing your own Wordpress install is the only option.

### "The best platform to build a website, provided you are using .org"

December 4, 2018

5.0

I primarily use it in my life as a part-time minister. I update our church website regularly, and am impressed that everything I've wanted to accomplish has been possible, even though some of it took much effort. In my other life, as a custom onboarding consultant for a software company, I always knew I could help a customer with a Wordpress site. I knew whatever they were looking to accomplish and integrate would be at least somewhat possible. I did not feel the same with solutions like Squarespace or Wix, although I understand the appeal of those sites to the less technically-inclined. When you are looking to implement involved solutions, Wordpress is the only platform that gives you the flexibility to accomplish what you are looking to accomplish with relative ease, apart from a completely custom coded website.

Pros

The customization opportunities are endless. There is so much you can add to and edit on your website. We have a free tool to update a podcast. We embed YouTube playlists we auto-update. We embed our Google Calendar. We link out to our donation site. This is as full featured as you could ever want, without having to code every little thing.

Cons

The learning curve is steep. The alternative is using the .com solution, but it is so much more limiting.

I'm a huge WordPress fan! This tool has brought me many good things in the past few years. Thanks to them, I was able to serve dozens of customers, creating modern, light, safe and, at the same time, robust and resourceful websites.

Pros

Cons

### "Best Tool to Build Your Online Presence"

December 8, 2018

5.0

I struggled for years building websites on different platforms. I made the switch to Wordpress and through Wordpress I was able to quickly learn how to build websites that others were impressed with. Wordpress is the most popular CMS in the world for good reason. It’s user-friendly, has many plugins and themes to enhance functionality, and is well-supported.

Pros

Wordpress is a tool that you can use to build any type of online presence you want. You can use Wordpress to host a simple blog to hosting a complete e-commerce store. There are so many themes and plugins available to help you make your website look and behave like you want it to. You’re not held back in what you can do with Wordpress like you are with other CMS platforms.

Cons

The maintenance screen error that sometimes appears during or after an update requires users to go into the server to repair the error. I know how to fix it, but a lot of users don’t, and it can be scary for them when they are introduced to it. I’m also not a fan of the new Gutenberg editor. I do not like that it’s been forced on us and we have to install another plugin just to keep the way things were before Gutenberg.

### "First Port of Call for All Websites"

December 5, 2019

5.0

I've set up numerous websites with WordPress, including my primary business projects. I've seen it evolve over the years from a simple CMS to a far more comprehensive platform.

Pros

WordPress can do pretty much anything with the right theme and selection of plugins. It's my platform of choice for all new website projects. The platform itself is completely free, and support is easy to come by as it's so popular (used by lots of blue chip companies). Once you know your way around WordPress, it's incredibly fast to get a new site up and running.

Cons

The learning curve is pretty steep, especially as different themes often use the framework in different ways. Speed can be an issue if you're not careful with theme and plugin selection. Updates are also very frequent.

Alternatives considered

### "The best solution for website owners "

March 12, 2021

5.0

I love WordPress! It has allowed us to do everything we need as a website development and content creation company.

Pros

The fact that WordPress is free and yet offers users excellent services is a plus on its own. On top of that, it is very easy to set up and integrate into your website, giving you total control. That means you'll be able to easily move your site. It caters to everyone by offering various plugins, add-ons, and more, which are also very easy to install, by the way. If you feel like you want to change your theme, you will find hundreds of free themes to choose from, and you can customize your website however you want. Being an SEO expert, I've found so many third-party SEO tools to integrate with WordPress to help me with optimization. Additionally, adding Google Adsense to our websites is very easy. Furthermore, users get regular updates and getting help from the support team is simple.

Cons

The only thing that may be a disadvantage is that you will need to install updates manually, unless if you use a managed WordPress hosting company.
