November 21, 2023

### "By far the best for website building from beginner to pro"

July 11, 2018

5.0

All the benefits. Easy and robust. Nothing even compares.

Pros

Where do I start? It's easy to use, easy to learn, you have millions of options...I started 4 years ago with a free template. Then I added a domain. Then I started adding plugins. Then I started researching how to change things in the backend. 4 years later, with no coding experience/training I am making full-blown robust custom sites. Oh, you want to geo-locate the user so they see a version of your website with monetary denominations that match their country? Easy. You want to follow up with people who put something in their cart and then left without purchasing it? Done. You want a video as your background? Simple. Wordpress integrates with everything. Seriously, everything. There isn't even a comparable company in mind.

Cons

Meh, I hate paying for fancy templates but there is a reason for it. It's more a gripe than an actual con. There are no real cons for me. Perhaps an advanced coder would have complaints but not me.

### "Not suited for novice users but excellent for larger companies"

April 1, 2024

4.0

Pros

I appreciate the diverse ability and customization WordPress offers. It's great (I'd even say essential) for larger companies doing business on a greater scale. The best for flexibility

Cons

I took me months to learn Wordpress properly. Once I'd built a website I liked, I found WordPress a bit demanding in terms of maintenance, upkeep and the frequency of update requirements. Definitely not for novice users or those who cannot afford to pay for a development professional to assist in maintaining.

### "The best solution for a business website"

March 6, 2019

5.0

There are two major business problems I want to point out. 1. It use to take weeks and sometimes months to setup a site at an extreme cost in developers and designers. Now I can employ just one developer and one designer for a week and the site is ready to go. 2. Making changes to pages use to take a developer and designer a week to do, now anyone on our team can log in and make the change quickly.

Pros

Wordpress gives you a flexible and secure website that is extremely expandable. There is a plethora of plugins that can give your website just about any functionality. There are also themes that can be used to quickly "skin" the site for a basic look that you want. It's easy to add your own content and you don't need to know how to program a single line of code.

Cons

There's not much to not like. There is a need for some knowledge of how PHP, MySQL and Apache work. You have to have a solid host provider that will maintain those core pieces so they are up-to-date and secure. For someone just starting out, the massive number of choices for plugins and themes can be .

### "No longer the king of website/blog builders...has been replaced by easier Drag & Drop sites."

May 24, 2022

3.0

Initially we had a great experience but after so many years of broken apps and customized code we chose to use a different site builder.

Pros

Initially we loved the customizable templates that were available. We also loved that so many people out there were using it as a website builder.

Cons

It is not a WYSIWYG site builder and that may be the biggest draw back for us at this point. Being able to play with design and layout is key in order to be as flexible with our site as we need it to be.

### "Wordpress, great for devs and designers!"

January 14, 2019

5.0

Wordpress is a great tool for your blog to your portfolio all the way to your ecommerce site! It has solutions and options for almost anything! Any level of user can access and create something awesome with the platform!

Pros

The biggest pro for me is the fact that, as a designer, I was able to work with Wordpress and some great templates to get a site that was catered to my needs and easy to manage. I was overwhelmed at first but the Wordpress community is a great bunch to help you through any issues and development! I've worked alongside developers also and seen their ease of identifying and addressing issues first hand! It's great for all parties really!

Cons

Although I never had any major issues with the platform, I would say it would be great in some cases to have a WYSIWYG style editor for the platform! I have not used it myself, but I have heard that Squarespace has this style of editing and maybe Wordpress could take a step in this direction to help those with little to no experience create a site for their needs!

### "Used by millions, from corporate to small personal blogs"

October 14, 2016

5.0

I work primarily with WordPress to deliver customized sites to my clients, not only because it is easy for them to use (has to be the easiest content management system out there) but also because it can be built to grow and include new pages, blogging, and increased functionality by installing plugins through the admin interface, including SEO. Among it's perks is the ability to manage security, which is much harder to do with other content management systems. Check out the WordPress Showcase to see some of the most popular and famous brands that use WordPress: https://wordpress.org/showcase/ As a developer, WordPress is easily customized to create the experience that your visitors expect from your brand, including the ability to use shortcodes, functions, custom fields, and varied custom templates. I have received various feedback from clients about how easy it is (sometimes they even contact me for updates and I just tell them where to update their content and they are pleasantly surprised that they don't need a web designer for content updates). One of the most alluring features of WordPress is the Plugins that are available to add new features - there are literally thousands of free plugins on wordpress.org, while others are commercial plugins that can be purchased on external sites. There are hosting providers that have added WordPress Hosting Packages to their shared hosting environments to aid people that are non-developers in installing and maintaining WordPress themselves, mainly because so many people use it. I highly recommend WordPress because the admin interface is so easy to use, and because it can be customized by a web designer to meet your specified needs and target market.

Pros

Easy to use, Easily Customized, Easy to add new features via Plugins, and Easy to manage SEO, Easy to secure

Cons

The core templates LOL! They are pretty hideous. Also, the free themes are not as secure as a custom theme.

### "Great software with lots of uses, but a bit of a learning curve."

August 21, 2018

5.0

Pros

WordPress is the platform that somebody with little web dev experience is supposed to be able to jump into so that they can build their own website. They can save the cost of hiring a developer to built out a custom site, and they can tackle it all on their own. At least, that's what I understand it is intended for. I have been using WP for over a few years now for a few different sites, and I have come to learn it pretty well now. I use WP to run my main business. What I love about WP is it's so widespread that there is so much support for it in terms of etenstions, plugins, etc. Just about everything you need can work with WordPress.

Cons

WordPress has been around for quite a while now, and so it has to struggle to maintain it's old legacy stuff while also getting with the times. WordPress also started out as a blogging platform. Blogging on a personal domain is not at all as popular at it once was. It is still clear that WP's platform has a lot of things set up in a way to cater to bloggers, when almost nobody uses WordPress to blog anymore. I use WordPress to run my service business website. Although I do love WordPress, it does have quite a bit of a learning curve. It's very easy to get stuck and not know what to do. It's not always as intuitive as one wold like. However, you can rest easy knowin that there is a giant amount of knowledge on the web that will most likely get you an answer to your problems. But yeah, if you're just jumping into WordPress for the first time, then you'll likely get frustrated a bit along the way. It really helps if you have a buddy or two who can help you out along the way while still keeping the costs low.

### "An Open Source, Flexible CMS - Wordpress "

January 6, 2019

5.0

Wordpress is the every beginners first choice as it easy to learn and user friendly. Best thing in it comes open source so it's possible to get customize with the help of Web Developers. If you select your team smartly your site will work and load fast also as plugin and themes sometime slow down the website also. My Client love this platform as they can administrate with content with zero code knowledge.

Pros

Wordpress is an open source CMS. We can create and publish the website in few hours. As it the most popular and easy CMS in the market. Most of the hosting sites provide the one-click installation for it. Wordpress team enhance it's feature and security in every update. Wordpress is the bloggers first choice as it's easy to host, maintain and administrate. A number of themes & plugin are available in the market place to choice as per you need. Zero coding skill require to host, maintain and administrate it. Best part in it is that you can start with free version with basic limitation of sub-domain of wordpressDOTcom and 3GB free Storage Space.

Cons

Wordpress is the most popular CMS this also make it vulnerable. Installing some good plugin make it safe but Wordpress should come with the by default level security. Most of the time plugin stop working after some major update. Each time a update roll out we need to plan to manage the plugin compatibility check before jumping to the newer version.

### "The Best CMS in the market"

November 27, 2019

I have been using WordPress since the birth of WordPress and follow closely on the development. I would say WordPress is here to stay and a very good platform for developer to make money.

Pros

Nowadays, WordPress CMS is not only use for blogging and for portal . Developer has expanded the usage in vertical application. With WordPress user can now have car rental system, property directory, CRM, ERP, etc. It's been supported by millions of developers around the world, and make it easy for user to get support for almost any problem encountered.

Cons

Since, there are too many features and functionalities offered by WordPress and WordPress 3rd party developers, the user are spoilt for choices especially when choosing which is the best theme and plugin to use for the website or portal

### "WordPress Will Give You More For Less"

December 29, 2018

4.0

WordPress has saved me time and a lot of stress. I started running a website with zero knowlege of coding. I did not even have any one teach me how to navigate the backend, i only had to read up and watch videos.

Pros

One of the things i love about WordPress is that users cannot get stuck and helpless. Due to the popularity of the software, almost all the problems you will encounter has been solved by some other people, you only need to read tutorials or watch videos. Another thing that i love is the fact that you don't need to good at coding to design a website with Wordpress. There are many safe plugins that will add needed features and most of these plugins are either free or cheap. WordPress is easy,it is the companion of every web designers.

Cons

As great as WordPress is, you need to be careful with new updates. Not that it is bad to update your version of Wordpress but you need to be careful. Your website uses many plugins and you may want to make sure they are compatible with the latest version or you may run into trouble. Another thing is you are in full control of your website, the decision to make or mar it is in your hands, hence, the ned to be careful.

### "Gestione siti web per non programmatori"

February 2, 2023

5.0

### "A Simple Tool For Blogging"

I have had a good experience with WordPress. I have never had issues that affect me very seriously. I would say it works perfectly for me without any problems.

Pros

I was first introduced to WordPress and since I have never thought about using any other alternative. WordPress is easy to understand and so easy to use without serious learning. I could use it very well within a few days just by watching tutorials on youtube. It has wonderful features that make website building an easy task unlike using HTML. You can access a number of themes and plugins and build a nice-looking page in a few hours and get it running. Big Ups WordPress for such a wonderful Application, You can use WordPress on a mobile platform such as Andriod if you prefer working on the go.

### "“WordPress Honest Review”. My No1 free tool for building website/blogs."

April 7, 2020

4.0

I am currently running all my websites on WordPress, and my favorite theme is Astra. My experience with WordPress has been very impressive, and i will choose WordPress over and over again when it ever comes to that.

Pros

WordPress helps to build a dynamic website or blog. it suitable for you, if you are a beginner or if you have a poor or little programming knowledge.. WordPress has a lot of free themes and plugin you can use, so even as a beginner, you don’t need to worry about the pricing. You can easily build cooperate websites for your business or for your clients. There are also other services related websites, like eCommerce and personal websites.

Cons

WordPress has a lot of free themes that can perfectly suit your business. There are premium themes as well and they are very affordable. With WordPress, you can set up and manage a website or blog in just few days, for some people one day will do. There are a good number of free themes and plugins, And some of them are drag and drop so you don’t need to know programming language. WordPress is built with popular programming language, so it’s easier to find a programmer to help you customize some features you want.

### "I absolutely love building & editing websites that are WordPress based"

September 7, 2018

5.0

Pros

WordPress is my preferred go-to choice for building any website. The platform is easy to use (WYSIWYG) and offers a plethora of fantastic third-party plugins. I love that a lot of the hard work is done for me when using WordPress and yet if I want to get into the code it is very easy to use and allows me to do just about everything an HTML site would do only much easier. Plus it's a lot easier to hand off a WordPress site to a non-techy user and let them contribute to/edit the site. You don't need to know HTML in order to use WordPress, plus it's nearly impossible to mess up the framework and structure of your site when working in WordPress.

Cons

WordPress doesn't automatically back up your site, but then setting up a backup is part of being a responsible website owner. Default settings are sometimes annoying during the initial setup. WordPress sites also tend to be a magnet for comment spam, despite setting up filters and honey pots to stop the spam comments.

Pros

Desde que uso el administrador de WordPress para actualizar contenidos y crear blog siento que se potencia mi trabajo. La herramienta es tan versatil que no tengo dolores de cabeza con la creación y desarrollo de mis proyectos web.

Cons

### "It works great if you understand how to use WordPress"

September 7, 2021

Overall, I really like it. It is very robust and its not often that I have to go in and fix something.

Pros

All the features are very robust. I get very few glitches. When I do, the customer service people are pretty good. There are also a ton of youtube videos as well which helps a lot.

Cons

Learning where all the features are is the most difficult. There are so many categories and subcategories and subcategories of the subcategories. The payment gateway for setting up a e-commerce site can be a little tricky as well.

Reason for choosing WordPress

It is very customizable

Pros

### "Great website content management platform"

March 7, 2019

5.0

I've been using WordPress to manage my blogs and websites for the past ten years and at this point I know it intimately. I've used it to setup business and personal sites and I absolutely love the flexibility of this content management platform. The back-end is easy to use and the learning curve is not steep at all. I've opted for the self-hosted version of Wordpress and worked with either custom themes (designed specifically for my websites), or with premium themes. While far from being a web designer or developer myself, I found it easy to make small changes myself and to handle the overall maintenance of the software. I've always been impressed with how much you can do with Wordpress, the look and feel of the sites always turning out extremely professional while preserving the ease of use. I also love the diverse and substantial offer of plugins that further add to the functionality already provided.

Pros

I love the ease of use of Wordpress and I've used it to manage my personal and business websites for the past ten years.

Cons

Some plug in integrations are not ideal and there are some security concerns with Wordpress, so I advise taking all the precautions you can.

Overall our experience with WordPress had been positive, and it had assisted us in streamlining the maintenance of multiple websites and databases related to these.

Pros

We run 8 websites through WordPress, and all are conveniently listed and featured from a central dashboard. This makes cross-population of content a breeze.WordPress also has many plugins from third parties (as well as themselves) that integrate WordPress features mostly seamlessly. It is very simple to use.

Cons

Initially the WordPress environment can be overwhelming; however, there are many places to find help and instruction, both from WordPress FAQ pages as well as some useful tutorials from developers and users on other social media platforms.

### "Wordpress - Best startup ideas"

August 6, 2020

5.0

For me WordPress is a best platform for creating the sites easily. I have created blog sites, portfolio sites, eCommerce sites and small business sites easily. I can use wordpress for more than 3+ years. No frontend coding and no backend coding knowledge required to start a wordpress site.

Pros

WordPress is now a day a most trusted platform for starting a website for a startup. I am using WordPress for blog, Small business, services sites, portfolio sites and eCommerce sites. The free version of the WordPress comes with wordpress.com and if you have a custom domain you can also purchase Hosting from different platform and install WordPress to start it.

Cons

No doubt WordPress is a very good platform for a startup but it has a lot of issues. Adding too many plugins may slow the sites, wordpress security issues. Nowadays malware attackers easily hacks wordpress sites as it has less security panels.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Wordpress is a best way to live on the web immediately. Without coding knowledge you can start a wordpress site easily.

### "The best blog software I've used!"

August 8, 2018

5.0

I have used a number of different blogging software, and always end up coming back to Wordpress - it is tried, tested and supported not only from the core, but the plugins and themes etc too. Would always recommend wordpress (ideally as a standalone to give more customisation).

Pros

I like the scalability of the software, the plugins and widgets, and the endless customisation that you can do. There are thousands of free themes to get started with, and then you can customise above this. The software is really easy to use, but can be quite intimidating when you have many plugins activated, and difficult to manage. Never experienced any compatibility issues, and it is very stable.

Cons

It can be quite daunting to manage a range of plugins at any one time, and the customisation takes some time to get used to and do well. There are some issues with widgets being customisable on one section, but not on other sections, and can be frustrating that changes made don't necessarily reflect the actual visuals representation in the live view.
