### "A CMS having highest percentage of user."

November 16, 2022

4.0

Pros

If you're looking for a user-friendly content management system that makes designing blogs and websites a breeze, look no further than WordPress 6.0. With its functional theme options and easy-to-use interface, WordPress is perfect for anyone who wants to create a professional-looking website or blog without any hassle. I've been using WordPress for 6 months now, and I can't imagine using anything else!I can easily manage my content, create pages and posts, and even customize the look and feel of my site easily. It's a great tool for anyone who needs an easy-to-use content management system.

Cons

The software is buggy and a bit unreliable, and the support team is unresponsive.

### "The #1 CMS for a Reason"

October 22, 2022

5.0

Pros

WordPress is simple yet powerful out of the box, but what really makes it valuable is the huge support ecosystem of themes and plugins surrounding it. My WordPress site is the underlying asset of my business, and I feel confident having built it on such a robust platform.

Cons

As with any software, there's still a learning curve and WordPress can be super frustrating. I'm not a coder but have had to learn some basic technical stuff to be able to make edits without hiring a freelance developer. If you just need a simple brochure site, there are other tools that are going to be easier to use. If you want to build out a large content library and earn SEO traffic, this is still your top choice.

### "Both Wordpress.org and Wordpress.com are stellar products"

July 27, 2019

5.0

Pros

I've used both Wordpress.com and Wordpress.org for years, and they are the industry standard for a reason. I haven't seen any other program that has quite the same range of features to create and boost your website. There is a bit of a learning curve to it, especially for the self-hosted websites, but it is manageable. Whichever version of wordpress you choose, it only takes a few minutes to get your website started. Beginners can get started with the basics pretty easily, and more advanced users have lots of options to tweak settings to their likings. There are lots of different options for customization so that you can match your website to your brand and style.

Cons

Wordpress changed their editor interface to the "blocks" editor, which is not very user-friendly or fun to use. If you have a version of Wordpress that supports plugins ($$), then definitely download one of the other options like Elamentor to edit your website with. In my opinion, the blocks editor was a downgrade from their old editor. The inflexibility of some themes can be very frustrating sometimes. In order to do more than whatever basic modifications that particular theme allows, you have to purchase either a version of Wordpress.com that allows CSS (more $$), or you need to have a self-hosted website through Wordpress.org. And then you need to know how to code in CSS, which is a learning curve. Wordpress themselves doesn't make most of themes available - most are made by third parties - but since every website has to have a theme, and each theme can dramatically effect the look and layout of your website, dealing with themes is something every user has to do.

### "There's a reason this is the most popular web building tool"

March 10, 2021

4.0

Cost effective and relatively easy to use software. Simple to establish a website - harder to make it a really good one.

Pros

There is a lot of support available and many options for designing and building a website even without prior technical expertise. Stable and cost effective.

Cons

There is a certain learning curve associated with using any software. With Wordpress I find it's quite easy to use at a basic level but not so easy to improve quickly as there are many resources available for beginners and many which are advanced but not so much in the middle

### "WordPress is best for professionals "

October 12, 2022

5.0

I had a Wordpress website for 5 years, it was great until I added e-commerce during covid and realised the website I had build was showing off the e-commerce to the best of its ability.

Pros

That there was so much you could do with it, if your a web developer and it is low cost.

Cons

Because I am not a developer I had to add to many addons to get it to work my way, which you then have to constantly update. Bugs appeared and it started making the website slow. The backend system is really complicated and very clunky when adding woocommerce to it.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing WordPress

Wordpress had better SEO capabilities and credentials at the time.

### "I am very happy with this software is easy, fast and customizable to the needs."

June 23, 2018

4.0

WordPress has brought me several benefits, helped me obtain my previous job, I was able to do several independent jobs in record time and I received money for this, my bosses and clients have congratulated me for the work I have done in Wordpress and they have been relatively easy. . It allowed me to learn the installation with a different database, which improves my professional profile to be able to install it with that database.

Pros

What I like most about Wordpress is its easy installation and administration. It's free, this is just beautiful. I have worked with WordPress for some years and my experience has been very good. The installation and administration are very simple for all those who work on the same project, for clients it is easy to manage their content and they are happy with this. Another great point is that the large community there is always someone willing to help, the extensions are fantastic, there are many and help the final result. For me, it is important that the large number of updates that exist always optimize the project. In general I am very happy with this software and I will surely use it in the future for new projects.

Cons

The creation of templates has been a problem for me, sometimes the integration with the modules is confusing, I had to hire web design experts to make adjustments, I think this task can be easier, another point that worries me is security. Something that must be taken into account due to open source, many people can exploit the vulnerabilities. I would love a version of WordPress dedicated exclusively to electronic commerce, although there is a plugin for these tasks, I believe that a native development is needed, since extensions are not enough.

### "Best and Awesome Content Management System"

July 8, 2020

5.0

I really like the themes that I can found, download, and install in the WordPress directory. These themes are really easy to customize. I love this CMS because it is SEO friendly. The plugins allow me to do my work so fast. My company website developed in WordPress so it's easy for me to edit the content of our company website.

Pros

The features of WordPress are really powerful and awesome. WordPress allows you to design a professional and beautiful website using the theme and plugins. If you love to write articles, then the Post section of WordPress is good for you. You can create pages like your company profile and contact page. WordPress is a free content management system and really best for your blog, business, and online store website.

Cons

Web Development and Web Design, both are so easy using WordPress. I only feel difficulty in a few themes, when I edit the code from the theme editor. But premium theme options are really stunning. So there are not special cons, all features are good.

### "Used by Everyone"

December 18, 2018

5.0

I still currently use WordPress for a business blog that I write for as a contributor. It's very forgiving, in that it auto-saves drafts, so you rarely lose content. I can easily save drafts and submit for review for our editorial team. It's served our needs very well!

Pros

Wordpress is pretty much the web hosting standard, or at least the solid foundation that many first time hosters use when they want to start a site. I've used this platform as a site host, as well as part of a team that hosted their website through Wordpress and I contributed my content through WordPress. It's a great tool, has tons of functionality and is very user friendly.

Cons

I remember when I was very new to WordPress, many of the tutorials seemed above my skillset. I ended up having to watch a LOT of YouTube videos online to make sense of how I could set up different widgets and functions, since they were not clearly explained through WorkPress in ways that I could understand or access. I do wish I could just upload images directly into content as I write it, vice having to then save my draft, click over to the 'media library' to upload the an image, then click back to my draft and insert the image into the content area and finally save. It's a very cumbersome process for something that should be as simple as attaching a picture to an email.

### "WordPress changed the way we build web sites"

September 14, 2020

5.0

As a Digital marketing Agency owner for more than 16 years, WordPress changed the way we build web sites. We can focus more on the design and content itself then spending time creating a CMS/programming.

Pros

WordPress became the most easy to use and worldwide adopted content manager used to build web sites. Automatic, the company behind WordPress, does a great job with a very large community to keep WordPress evolving and adding new functionalities.

Cons

Unfortunately the way the content editor was developed from the group up, it's not possible yet to multiple users edit the same content together at the same time (as Google Docs and other software). But the WordPress developers know of this and are working on it for the future.

October 4, 2021

My overall experience with Wordpress has been absolutely wonderful. The benefits of creating new and unique websites and blogs has worked out well for me and my company. I will continue to use this product to either update my existing sites or create new sites for other business ventures. Keep up the great work!

Pros

Various plug-ins available with awesome capabilities Simple to create new and duplicate pages Easily preview your work before publishing Dashboard is super simple to navigate and very organized

Cons

Sometimes It can be difficult to format content like bulleted lists with spaces between them. Some plugins like Elementor can load very slowly. Media images appear to have to be very small in order to upload successfully.

### "I'm a Wordpress Developer and I always enjoy creating Wordpress Sites!"

July 2, 2018

5.0

I'm a software and web developer for more almost 6 years but when I discovered Wordpress, i am amazed and got excited for what it offers. During my 4th year in my career, I already got Wordpress jobs from different clients in the USA and I got more and more projects since it is way faster and easier. Then I decided to quit my full time job and focus on Wordpress.

Pros

As a Wordpress Developer, it helps me to save a lot of time creating websites. I don't need to start coding from scratch because it is just one-click install and you will have a website. I can even create 1 fully working site with a complete homepage, about us, contact us, projects and blog pages. I'm not good at designing but I can create beautiful sites! I only need to choose the right theme. You can do anything using Wordpress with the help of plugins like from simple blog to a powerful E-commerce Sites.

Cons

Wordpress is not good for low specs hosting so I suggest everyone to find a better hosting provider to run your site smoothly.

### "Wordpress is our goto CMS"

November 12, 2019

5.0

Wordpress makes it quick and easy to turn out new websites. Extremely simple to maintain and post updates.

Pros

Wordpress is freely available, extensible, good with frequent security updates. There is a huge ecosystem of templates and plugins to extend features and even a command line database for administration. (Wp-cli).

Cons

I can't think of any negatives right now. We use it daily and recommend it for new sites. It might be made easier to "cloak" or prevent it from looking like it's a cms (hide the login/etc.) But we have our own recipe for doing that already and it's not too big a deal.

Reason for choosing WordPress

We've got a couple drupal deployments and in comparison upgrades are much simpler with wordpress. Even major updates on Wordpress don't cause big disruption. Drupal sometimes can be..... cantankerous.

### "WordPress, the perfect tool for blogs and websites"

March 28, 2019

5.0

Pros

I have been using WordPress for years and for many different projects. I recently launched a new website and had to configure it from 0 again. Overall, it is a very good tool that will help people who don't know a lot about website coding to have a full functional one without any solid knowledge. It is also useful if you don't want to spend hours coding and want to simplify some processes. First of all, setting it up is easy. You can choose to host it on WordPress' servers by paying a monthly fee or you can host it on your own server and download the WordPress installation files for free. Then, once you've installed it on your servers, the installation process is pretty easy. You will be able to add themes (free or premium ones), add plugins and so on. You can do almost anything with WordPress, that's why it is so popular. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a simple way of having a website. Finally, the user management is very good. I have some friends working with me and setting up their account and rights was easy.

Cons

Sometimes, the interface can get a bit overwhelmed if you have too many plugins. The security of your website is also compromised. I also feel that, without plugins, WordPress would not be as flexible as it is. Sometimes you depend too much on them.

### "You simply NEED to use Wordpress for your next website!"

August 16, 2021

5.0

I am still amazed that such an easy platform is available to create elegant, high-end websites. Because of my great experience with Wordpress I will recommend it to anyone, whether you are a small business or a large corporate, Wordpress is the CRM to use.

Pros

\- I do not understand coding at all, however I was able to seamlessly create elegant websites for other organizations. - Whether you do a one pager or multiple pages, wordpress works best every time with its easy to learn and use UI. - There is a huge selection of pre-built templates which are highly customizable, with quite a large selection of free templates. - It has a free version and it also integrates extremely well with any hosting platform. - I am amazed that the majority, if not all hosting platforms has Wordpress as its number 1 website builder. - A huge pro for small to medium businesses is that they are able to learn and create their own website with this CRM.

Cons

\- There are no automatic updates and need to constantly check when to update. - There are limitations to what you can do, and the support isn't the greatest.

### "Excellent CMS for website development"

April 16, 2018

4.0

Pros

Its wide variety of tools and accessories allows the development of projects of all kinds quickly and with a pleasant visual style. For free, we can find a variety of templates that can be adapted to any type of development. We can also choose payment templates that provide excellent quality to our websites. It is not necessary to have advanced programming knowledge, and for this reason, anyone can learn very quickly to use WordPress and develop their own websites or start a business in the area of web development. wordpress has a huge community of users, so we will find much content on the internet to help us solve any inconvenience we may have. Multi-users Many users can manage the same website. The constant updates allow wordpress to constantly improve and to correct possible failures and at the same time worrdpress continues to grow. In summary, we can say that wordpress is an excellent tool for developing websites of relatively fast quality and without having advanced programming knowledge.

Cons

they present some vulnerabilities since lately it has been affected by attacks, in the same way but we are careful we can be affected by spam, for which we must investigate on how to protect our websites in wordpress. Requires a level of knowledge half WordPress is not an overly complex platform like others, but neither is it as intuitive as the Drag and Drop web creators. Although there are templates for all tastes, if you are looking for a completely customized design, it will be necessary to hire the services of a web designer, to which you can transmit your own ideas so that you can create a 100% customized website.

### "The BEst CMS for Powering ANY Website"

October 10, 2018

5.0

It's been awesome. I've watched it evolve from a blogging platform to so much more.

Pros

I've been using it as an expert for maybe 7 years now and it still amazes me what you can do with it. It is, far and away, the best (and most popular) CMS in the world today, with so many available themes and plugins that do so many things, it would be hard to encapsulate it all in one review. I think the best thing about it is that it can function as both a consumer grade website or an enterprise grade website, and that there's no shortage of developers/knowledge out there if you need assistance.

Cons

If you want to make very, very specific changes to a theme, you may need to dive into the Editor in the dashboard and know a little bit of PHP/CSS/HTML/JS to get it done. I personally recommend X THEME for people wanting to start out in the world of WordPress enterprise website development, but really this is the case with any CMS or web dev project.

### "The best platform for organic promotion in Google!"

July 15, 2020

5.0

I started my first blog almost two years ago, I wanted to advertise products online and decided to try to promote the pages with the use of SEO that can be added as a WordPress plugin, time did its thing and the pages not late to come to the first places of Google, Considering other platforms, WordPress plugins bring me tools for best optimizing website performance

Pros

This is not a new thing that both Google and WordPress are good friends, as a blogger who wants visitors through Google, WordPress can definitely satisfy my demands, I was able to reach pages with thousands of thousands views with the right use of SEO, I recommend that WordPress is the best platform for organic promotion on Google.

Cons

WordPress can be a serious thorn in the side of new users who do not understand the concepts of rebsites(domains and hosting), Other platforms can be even more convenient and good for the same blogger, but in order to take the site to the next level you should definitely think about using WordPress

### "The CMS Most Businesses Need"

November 19, 2019

5.0

I've used WordPress as a client, administrator and developer. In all cases, I've found it to be extremely useful.

Pros

Wordpress is well maintained and well documented. Has lots of features that make it easy for projects to spun up quickly. If built properly, it is extremely fast.

Cons

Constant core updates means someone at the company has to be on top of web maintenance. It is difficult to set a project up in Wordpress and pass it off to a client unless they are willing to put in the work to learn how to use the software.

### "Everyone Needs to Learn Wordpress"

May 7, 2019

5.0

Pros

Wordpress can be as easy or as complex as you want it to be. There are thousands of plug ins and hundreds of themes! depending on the theme you like, you can download a full website and edit what you need. There are plug-ins for SEO. Yoast SEO is my favorite to use. Its robust and does all the work under the hood of your website. SSL Certification is a huge thing to have on your website - yes, theres a plug in for this! I am currently building out 5 websites for our different companies. Wordpress is sexy, sleek, and most recognized by Google!

Cons

I wish you didn't have to have a server if you don't have a domain. Plugins and themes publish updates often. You have to manually update these.

Alternatives considered

[Wix](https://www.capterra.com/p/169007/Wix/)

Reason for choosing WordPress

Wix's themes and pages are not recognized by google. Which means your Wix website will not be found on the first pages of Google. Wordpress is up to date with Google and is found!

### "Easy Web Building!"

December 5, 2019

5.0

For a government agency, it makes it easy for all of the employees to be on one platform and for everyone to edit pages/posts on their own. You still would want someone who specializes in web development or someone who is very knowledgeable in WordPress on staff/on call in order to sort out any kinks.

Pros

I love that the software is relatively intuitive - you can sign on and organizing a page/building a page is as easy as putting together a Microsoft Word document. They have all of the icons to click so you do not need to know any HTML to make things work. With that being said, if you are interested in customizing and do more sophisticated work on it, you can easily click the tab showing all of the HTML coding. This way, you can customize exactly what you want so it really is the best of both worlds.

Cons

What I enjoy least about the software is that some things are not intuitive - for instance, adding media requires you to upload the PDF document via the media folder, and then you have to copy the URL/highlight the text in order to link things. It seems like they could have made a drag-n-drop feature or something along those lines. The creating of tables feature is frustrating to me because the "standard" table that they create does not contain any lines. Therefore, if you want to make lines, you have to go into the HTML code to figure out how to do it.

### "Wordpress makes a great site, but not at beginner a level"

September 14, 2018

4.0

I have used WordPress for updates to both internal company Intranets as well as live non-profit websites. The navigation at first was difficult, but once conquered, I was able to add on and really be creative with the sites I am working with. WordPress is not for a beginner to jump right in. It is, however, a great site builder once accustomed to the way the navigation works. Ultimately, the options it allows, and with the add on packs available, it is a great tool for site builders at an intermediate level who want a professional looking product at a good price point.

Pros

WordPress does a great job providing an abundance of theme choices for the user. In addition, there are a number of additional "Add-On" packs that you can load at a reasonable cost to add features and functions. I also find the "Posts" in WordPress to be easy to use, and a quick method of adding a "Social Media" to your site. It makes it easy to add quick updates and news for your viewers.

Cons

Theme updates!! WordPress Theme updates seem to be a nightmare. Sometimes, if you do a theme update, your site will become discombobulated and you cannot revert it back. It leaves you with content out of place, missing information, and overall it can change the look of your site. If you are not expecting it, it can be traumatic, and then you spend hours fixing it to how it was before the update but the new theme.
