### "I've been using Wordpress for more than 5 years!"

November 20, 2019

5.0

Launched more than 3 websites for myself and also built websites for my clients in very short time.

Pros

Wordpress comes with many options for everyone from different levels of technical knowledge! You can have it self hosted or managed hosting. Most of the hosting companies offers one-click-setup for Wordpress and it is crazy simple to start! Many of my friends started their business websites using WP and improved their skills in years. The plugin and theme market is enormously big and makes it possible for everyone to create custom looking sites.

Cons

Updating my Wordpress has always been stressful for me mostly due to breaking plugins and themes. You can tackle this problem with taking backups regularly.

### "It's the best CMS that exists"

June 24, 2019

5.0

As a creator of content for other people, I decided it was time to create my own website. Looking for the best CMS I chose Wordpress, mostly because of the level of customization it offers and the free software. Although I don't have extensive knowledge of code, there're many pages that offer tutorials and have helped me to deepen so as not to just stay with the pluggins tnat it offers and try to personalize my page every time a little more. There are many tools that help you learn and improve. The customer service attends very quickly and has answered my questions. It is an excellent software to go climbing in the web development. I started a few months ago to study it and to create my page and I've been excited, so I've been learning code little by little because my goal is to personalize my website at a professional level.

Pros

It's the best CMS that exists, ideal for both beginners and experts in the design of websites. What I like most is that it's very versatile and can be customized according to the level of web development knowledge that you have, and in any case, you can get a professional website. If you are a person who just discovered Wordpress, like me, and has no code knowledge, you have a lot of pluggins and templates both free and paid to help you create a functional website. If you have code knowledge, you can customize your page as you wish since the system allows you to add code lines to modify your website. There're templates and pluggins for any function, even to improve SEO, which is very useful.

Cons

All are advantages when using Wordpress, it's very easy and intuitive, it requires some effort when you start learning, but you learn quickly. I have no complaints regarding this CMS.

### "Best Content Management System for Beginner"

December 24, 2020

5.0

After using WordPress, I can control and develop my own website. WordPress theme has a professional look so I don't have to redesign any theme. All in all, WordPress is a very easy and best way for website management.

Pros

As a content management service provider for beginners, WordPress is the best content management service provider in the world. Any website in WordPress is very easy to manage, WordPress's custom plugins and themes look very professional and you can easily design and develop your own website using such themes. Using WordPress makes it easier for a new employee to manage a website, as there is no need to know programming to use WordPress.

Cons

WordPress is the best content management system in the world right now, out of an ordinary content management system. I can't find an alternative to this site. So it is foolish to defame it

### "A WordPress fan for life"

November 21, 2019

5.0

My overall experience with WordPress has been great. I particularly love how easy it is to modify web pages and see the results instantly on your live site. This alone has made WordPress my personal favorite site authoring solution.

Pros

I started using WordPress a few years ago. What I like most about this content management system is that is is very powerful and also very easy to use. It is powerful because users can add virtually limitless content and features to their websites. WordPress features dozens of plug-ins and widgets that can turn a routine website into something far more dynamic. It is also easy create pages, install and use plug-ins, and publish new content. Newcomers to WordPress will appreciate how something that is so easy to use can produce such great results.

Cons

There is little to dislike about WordPress. Its dashboard is well organized, enabling you to quickly navigate to the sections of your website you wish to modify. My biggest complaint is that the WordPress photo editor leaves much to be desired. If you need to crop or modify any of your images, I highly recommend doing this in another program like Photoshop rather than engaging with the WordPress photo editor. You will save time and the end result will be much closer to your intention.

### "Easy to get started and grow with the product"

March 13, 2021

5.0

Valuable tools for dissemination of information and collaboration across broad geographic team. Was able to easily upgrade plugins and patch the product.

Pros

Easy to get started. Easy to learn, add features, and grow with the product. Rich plugins available for free with higher end customers carrying the cost of development through their paid upgrades.

Cons

Administration should be re-organized to guide new administrators. Perhaps a simple view that can be expanded as administrators gain experience.

### "Making a Website That You Control Has Never Been Easier"

November 12, 2019

5.0

I have been very happy with WordPress. I taught myself how to navigate the platform and there are so many great resources out there for people to learn.

Pros

How quickly and easily I can set up a site for someone and teach them to manage it on their own. I hate in my industry that may developers sometimes hold sites for ransom more or less.

Cons

There is a learning curve to it but once you learn the basics you are set! I love that they offer so many plug-ins as well. You can do things that used to take a fortune to get coded all yourself.

### "The BEST Site Building Platform"

January 24, 2019

5.0

I am a marketing media consultant who regularly builds websites for clients. I have tried a variety of site builders over the years (Blogger, Wix, Squarespace), and Wordpress is BY FAR the best. It's easy to use "right out of the box," and those who are advanced users can easily customize sites to their liking using code (if using wordpress.org, not wordpress.com). I won't use anything else if I can help it.

Pros

I love how easy it is to work with. The user interface is very user friendly. It's very easy to find what you need, make the updates and edits you want, and customize your site as you see fit. I love that there are a variety of really fantastic plugins to make customization a breeze, but you can also easily access and edit code if you need to.

Cons

I'm not a \*huge\* fan of the new Gutenburg editor, but I appreciate that they let you keep the classic editor if you so choose. I'm sure I could get used to Gutenburg, but honestly, if it ain't broke, why fix it?

### "Wordpress changes my life to ease"

February 24, 2021

5.0

My experience with WordPress is phenomenal because I have earned $ from selling the WordPress websites to different business startups and help them at their initial stage. WordPress is like home website for me because I feel comfortable working on WordPress.

Pros

I personally use WordPress to design websites and create websites for different business purposes it made my life so convenient to create website for any other business that I want to start and even creating for clients too. It's a free tool and the most perfect for beginners and low budget business to start their online business with WordPress website to boost their business globally.

Cons

There is no such cons about WordPress for me but for the convenience I need to say the user interface is bit difficult to understand at first for beginners WordPress creators need to focus on interface to create it more user-friendly for the beginners.

### "WordPress is a fantastic host site for your blog. Now, you can stop searching and start writing!"

December 7, 2018

5.0

WordPress has given me an awesome format to get my ideas and creative writing "out there." Even though I share my blogs on social media and through emails, I was pleasantly surprised when people I didn't know began to read and like my blogs. WordPress is more than a screen you can use to publish your writing. It is a community of other writers and there is so much you can learn from being a part of it. I hope if you haven't given it a try, you will!

Pros

Wordpress is easy to get the hang of, even for tech beginners. I use it for blogging, and then my 11 year old son started his own blog. I love that with WordPress you can personalize your design, but it doesn't consume all your time, so you can do what you really want: write! I also love the ease of inserting and captioning photos. I am always discovering new things I can do on WordPress and I just found the other day that I can choose multiple photos to display and it will put them on the page like a collage. I also discovered that I can post my podcasts on Wordpress. This is such a valuable tool if you are in communications! Finally, I love how you can check your stats after posting a blog. It will show you how many people have read it and what parts of the world are enjoying your writing. It was awesome for my 11 year old son to see that he had people in 8 different countries reading his blog. This was way more motivating for him than mom handing him a writing assignment! Go with WordPress, you will be glad you did.

Cons

I think when I first started with WordPress I didn't have much tech savvy and it was a bit overwhelming initially setting up my account. My advice to those who would fall under this category, just use WordPress templates and let the software do the "heavy lifting" for you on the design side, until you become more comfortable with your abilities. I started out overwhelmed, but I LOVE all the design options now and I am always playing and changing things up.... I have yet to create any national disasters with my fumbling, so I hope that will ease your fears.

### "Free, Easy to use and expandable"

January 8, 2019

5.0

This is a great piece of software that's easy to install and has helped me build many sites for my clients. It's quick and easy to set up and also to install themes to fit in with your business.

Pros

The ease of installation for this software is great, it's simply a few steps and as long as you have your database details it's as easy as 1, 2, 3. There are thousands of free and paid plug-ins that you can install to expand the functionality of this system. Including an e-commerce store, membership site, forum etc. It has many free and paid themes that you can use to style your site to whichever look you would like to use.

Cons

Depending on how the server is set up there can be issues with hacking and backdoor attacks. There are also many plug-ins that could potentially have malware written into the code, causing issues further down the line. Sometimes the errors are not that intuitive so it can be difficult to debug.

### "Best thing to happen to web development in decades"

September 7, 2018

5.0

I have extensive experience with Wordpress over the past 8 years. I won't use anything else for website design anymore. I think it now serves 1 in 4 sites online.

Pros

I designed websites on various CMS and HTML platforms in the past, and wordpress makes it STUPID EASY for anyone to built a website and not pay the monthly fees charged by others. The massive (and I mean massive) plug-in and theme repositories out there mean you can literally do anything with a wordpress based site. I've used it for download codes to exclusive content, auction websites, and plain-old blogs. I've built sites for local businesses, churches, and ballet studios. Updates are painless and easy. Security is top-notch.

Cons

There is a slight learning curve if you are self-hosting and don't know how to set up a SQL DB or set security permissions on such DBs. But it's really easy to do... You just have to find the right person to ask!

### "Easy to use CMS"

June 30, 2020

5.0

Most of our clients use Wordpress so it's easy to go from project-to-project without a lot of stress and problems. We will continue to use it.

Pros

Most of our clients use Wordpress so it's easy to go from project-to-project without a lot of stress and problems. In addition, there are so many great plugins that we can easily create world-class websites without being developers. We usually hire developers when necessary, but it's seldom needed because there are so many great plugin options.

Cons

Unfortunately, we've used themes and plugins that are vulnerable to hacking. We use security plugins but some sites have been hacked more than once. This is time-consuming and something we hope we can avoid in the future.

### "Thanks to this software we are taking giant steps towards our website "

September 24, 2018

5.0

Pros

I got to know this software thanks to some friends who are web programmers, and we started using it in the publishing house without hesitation. Wordpress is from my perspective a pioneer in the creation of blogs and websites. Thanks to this software we have been able to advance in the construction of our blog and website in the publisher, taking the best elements in programming and make it more attractive for the reader. Another interesting tool that we have found in the use of Wordpress, is the multiplicity of free plugins that allow us to add bullets, banners, fonts, custom templates and other elements that enrich our website. All these elements go hand in hand with a management panel of the blog or website and its adaptation to mobile devices that allows us to use it anywhere we want.

Cons

Information has to be handled very carefully, as it is a software that is widely spread worldwide, many hackers and hackers lurk in the blogs, taking information and hacking the pages. These risks increase when it comes to installing plugins and updates to be used on your blog or website. Another fundamental problem that I recognize at the time of using this software, and that we are evaluating in our editorial, is that the free version (that we currently use), does not offer total security in the handling of information in our blog and in the construction of our web page. Therefore, our publisher is evaluating paying for this service to have higher levels of security with updates and purchase of paid plugins.

### "Decent mixture of functionality and control over a website"

May 14, 2018

4.0

I found Wordpress easy to learn thanks to all the tutorials and forums out there. The community is very helpful and you can basically use it to make your website do just about anything you would like it to. If you want to create a website and don't know how to code (or only know the basics), Wordpress will be your best friend.

Pros

Wordpress makes making a website look and function the way its supposed to easy. Since there are so many active users, finding the answer to a common problem is as simple as searching for it on Google. While I know basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript, Wordpress makes it easier to manipulate and control my website using themes and plugins.

Cons

There really are no cons to Wordpress so long as you have the time to learn to use it. It does take some time to use and isn't as intuitive as Wix or other Drag and Drop sitebuilders BUT those types of programs don't give you the functionality and control over your website either.

### "Für mich nicht geeignet"

November 10, 2022

3.0

Cons

Updates, Updates, Updates. Je mehr Plug Ins man verwendet, desto öfter muss man Updates installieren. Je mehr Websites man betreut, desto nerviger wird der Zeitaufwand dafür. Die Verbesserungen benötige ich jedoch nur selten.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Ich kannte zu diesem Zeitpunkt keine guten Alternativen.

### "Powerful Content Management System for Building Websites"

September 12, 2018

4.0

WordPress is always my go to when I get a web design client. I prefer WordPress compared to other content management systems like Joomla. Whenever I have an issue, I always find a solution online in forums. There is also a lot of documentation on the internet on the same.

Pros

I have had a very good experience working with WordPress to create websites for my clients. Once you get the hang of it, WordPress is very easy to use. With features like Visual Composer, setting up a page webpage is very seamless. Another awesome thing about WordPress is the numerous plugins available to help add functionality to your site. There is a plugin for almost every feature you can think of. WordPress had a lot of free and premium templates to choose from. Most of the templates are responsive and easy to set up. Another cool thing about WordPress is that it offers the best options and features for blogging. WordPress is the best platform for blogging as compared to other options in the market.

Cons

The biggest problem with WordPress is that it is not secure. WordPress websites are easily hacked. I am always forced to put in very tight security measures on my websites. Previously, I have had a number of my WordPress sites hacked and cost me extra money to have the websites fixed.

### "The best CMS out there, mandatory for non-transactional websites"

May 10, 2019

4.0

I Love Wordpress, I have created very nice websites with it for my customers. It sure has a learning curve but it is surely worth it.Use it, your websites can look great and have tons of functionalities!

Pros

Wordpress is today the most popular CMS for non-transactional websites, it's the 'standard'. If you are ever tempted to use other solutions that look 'easier' to set up, like Wix or Squarespace; or other CMS that were popular some years ago, like Joomla, just don't! You will regret afterwards. At the end, all of my customers who used another CMS, switched to Wordpress at some point. It has the biggest community of users, which means that there are a lot more and better themes and plug-ins to extend the functionalities in your website.

Cons

Updates can mess how your website looks. Be very careful with this and deactivate automatic updates or you will regret! Always make backups of your website and database, just in case. If your website is transactional, depending on how tech-saavy you are, you should consider Shopify, as it is not just a CMS but a partner that will give you support. Wordpress will not provide you with support, you will need to find a developer to help you out. However, Shopify can still be a lot more expensive than hiring a developer to help you with Wordpress, anyway.

Pros

### "Experienced Web Publication Practitioner Assessment"

May 21, 2018

5.0

Pros

Some context: I started using Blogger for publishing in 2004. I've published more than 5,000 editorial posts on that CMS platform. I've used Wordpress since 2011 to create multiple publications (blogs and microsites). A novice can get started and experiment with the basic capabilities on Wordpress.com for free (highly recommended). Note, the version of Wordpress that you 'host' on a service provider site or on your own server has essentially the same features. I've found this publishing platform to be very flexible for a variety of use cases. If you're not a web designer, you'll really appreciate the benefits of the Wordpress templates. I recommened exploring the free and 'paid' templates before selecting one for your publication project.

Cons

Like any full-featured CMS platform, there is an investment in time and effort required to learn the capabilities. While I've found the user interface to be intuitive (to me), I've been told that less experienced users find the extent of the Wordpress initial configuration requirements to be daunting. That's why if you plan to use the software on your site and customize a template to your requirements, then I highly recommend creating a free account on Wordpress.com to essentially trial the product.

### "Still the best website builder"

It is an amazing piece of software and has helped a non designer like me build some great sites but it needs the right hosting to run at full speed and needs to have back ups and security measures in place

Cons

Security and hacking is still a major issues and auto back ups are not standard configurations. Automatic updates can cause conflicts and site problems and it can be best to wait for a x.1 version of the software to be more stable before upgrading important sites

### "An Awesome Content Management System for creating websites"

April 20, 2019

4.0

We are developing all types of websites on WordPress and we are really happy with their service and feature list. WordPress is a great platform to develop any types of sites in a matter of time with much client satisfaction.

Pros

WordPress is the best CMS to create and deploy a website within no time. We can create contents, add templates and manipulate changes using plugins. There is a lot of plugins available even for website visitor counting to major SEO optimization. WordPress is best suited for any types of websites like static websites and blogs. There is a lot of things that can be done on WordPress which is much complex to be done on hard core coding. WordPress is a great tool for any types of developers.

Cons

The major issue is that we cannot develop a mobile app with WordPress as back end. It will be really hard to do the same as we cannot expose the API on WordPress. Please make a provision for this soon.
