### "A tool for all experience levels"

November 2, 2018

5.0

WordPress frees me up as a web designer to focus on the artistic side of the work, by streamlining and simplifying a lot of the coding needed before the software. Developers are constantly improving the product. The variety of themes allows for pre-made templates and original designs. After many years of use and experimentation with other software, it is simply the most complete platform out there.

Pros

This software allows you to unleash your skill and ability. The more html and php competent you are, the more interesting things you can do. But there are features that allow almost anyone, with basic computer literacy, to create a site that suits them..

Cons

There is little about this software I don't like. The customer support could be better and the relationship between wordpress.org and wordpress.com could be better explained. The administrator features could be explained without having to go to a forum. Other than that, a pretty spot on product.

### "WordPress is the #1 CMS to Use"

December 29, 2020

5.0

WordPress helps us engage our audience in so many ways. From writing SEO content, to sharing blogs on social media and in email newsletters, and hosting sweepstakes to promote our brand and educate, this CMS tool has benefited our company in many ways and I highly recommend it. We use Sitecore for our main website and to create landing pages for campaigns because it has more capabilities, but we are quite happy with using the two different platforms.

Pros

WordPress is a very easy to use platform for blogging. Adding images, titles, headers, GIFS, videos, categories, and infographics is simple. I love that we can also use plugins like Rank Math SEO to add title tags and meta descriptions, quizzes, forms for sweepstakes, and more to engage our audience.

Cons

I am not a fan of the new Gutenberg editor and our team continues to use the original WordPress editor. We all found it not not be as intuitive and difficult to use and it would definitely lower my rating for this software product if it became the standard.

Reason for choosing WordPress

No other software for blogging, such as SquareSpace could compare. No other was considered.

### "I'll always love WordPress, it's my favorite platform"

September 22, 2019

5.0

In six years as a web designer, WordPress is the only platform I put my hands on the fire. It is the most faithful and professional site to create web pages. I recommend it with my eyes closed and do not dismiss any option because they are all useful.

Pros

All the time I spend on WordPress is valuable. It's a manageable platform, with hundreds of tools and a free version that gives me more than I need, although it's also useful to opt for a paid plan for business goals. Any digital work that my company requires I can solve it with WordPress, because it gives me endless templates, options, ways to work. SEO optimization is another WordPress weapon, because it allows us to position ourselves on Google. I trust this software fully, it has it all.

Cons

I haven't had any problems, it's perfect. I've read comments about WordPress deficiencies in Internet security. However, it hasn't happened to me, so I can't confirm it.

### "Building a Website? WordPress is (Probably) Best for You."

December 5, 2019

4.0

I build websites for clients with WordPress. These are restaurants, fitness centers, professional speakers, etc. They are needing more than a simple website and usually have some interactive forms and sometimes eCommerce in their site. I've been using WordPress for over 12 years, so…yes, I like it and I rely on it.

Pros

I love the expansion capabilities of WordPress. With tens of thousands of quality plugins that expand the features and many thousand themes (templates), WordPress provides a solid platform for anyone needing a quality website. There is no doubt that it is stable and reliable software.

Cons

You could say that WordPress is easy. But, in truth, it has become confusing for the end-user who does not have any technical background. The alternatives, like Wix and Squarespace do have benefits for non-tech people who want to launch a website quickly and who don't wish to worry about updates and software (in)compatibilities.

### "Save your money, try something else!"

January 6, 2021

3.0

Overall, I would prefer a software that isn't so laggy, easier to use, have a more streamlined approach to drag and drop builders. I'd also like a software that has necessary and impressive features (ones I don't have to search for, research and source to do basic things) For ex: downloading a slideshow plug-in. Having that option there initially through Wordpress would be beneficial and time-saving.

Pros

Plug-ins are a positive element of this software. They definitely add to whatever website you're creating. Find a good plug in and you can raise the standards of the content and what you create on Wordpress.

Cons

Wordpress is just so outdated and difficult to use. They make everything harder than it needs to be and just isn't progressive with the times. We're too far in the world of advanced digital creation to be using a software that isn't seamless to use. If the companies I work for websites weren't already on Wordpress, I would suggest another.

### "No web experience? Then, highly recommend this!"

April 25, 2019

5.0

Pros

Just over 2 years ago, we converted all of our websites to WordPress. Best.decision.ever. I am, by no means, skilled at creating, changing, customizing websites. All of our sites were PHP before WordPress and it was a nightmare to get things updated. We don't have an in-house developer and everything was on his timetable. Now, with WordPress, we can easily make edits and customizations on the site. If we want to add something to the site, I can bet you that there is a WordPress plug-in for that! And they are cheap and easy to customize. Just by playing around, we can customize pretty much anything we want. AND - its fool proof - you get to preview any changes before they are made. It doesn't get easier than this!

Cons

This is my favorite software/platform we use. I can't say a bad thing about it. We have had ZERO problems with it in the past 2+ years.

### "Excellent for small business owners!"

May 11, 2019

5.0

Overall experience was and still is great. I have yet to find another program that can compare.

Pros

I've used Wordpress to build websites for several companies over the last decade and I've always found that the program is always up to date, free of bugs, and customer service has always assisted in a timely manner. The applications that can be used on the platform seem endless and for the DIY'er it simply cant be beat.

Cons

The vast amount of plugins can sometime be a double edged sword in that I can sometimes get lost in which plugins i need or what to use and it can be a bit overwhelming at times. My suggestion would be to research prior to uploading any plugins and have a plan in place to fulfill your needs. Avoid exploring too much, as tempting as it is.

### "One of the Best & Easy to Use CMS"

November 6, 2018

4.0

We used WordPress for a lead generation project for one of our client's website. We were able to develop the website with our own theme within a time frame of two weeks. Thanks to the Wordpress & the plugins available for contact forms. In addition to this, we used SEO plugins to easily optimize pages. It helped us to make our client happy.

Pros

Wordpress is one of the best open source CRM that mostly used by people for blogging. The best advantage of using WordPress is the wide list of plugins that one can install to fulfill the additional requirements. One can get hundreds of free themes for each category. Someone with the knowledge of PHP can even customize the application to fulfill the business need. Starting from general blogging to lead generation to an e-commerce portal, everything can be done with real ease by using WordPress and the plugins available.

Cons

You need to keep track of all updates, not only WordPress updates but also the plugin updates. One of the major issues is that the plugins support for specific versions of WordPress and above If you are not updating WordPress then those will not work. Sometimes using third party plugins is also not safe, there will be issues related to vulnerability. Always ensure to read the reviews before installing plugins.

### "Win with Wordpress!"

February 13, 2019

4.0

I would highly recommend wordpress to any user. I think it offers users anything you could possibly need. I have used it to build business websites, personal websites, educational sites and even an auction site. It can do much and is worth the time to get started!

Pros

Wordpress is a wonderfully powerful website building platform. It has what seems to be an infinite number of possible themes and layouts. It has great third party support so you can turn your website into anything you could want (online store, auction, non-profit, business...etc). Wordpress is also relatively inexpensive. You can purchase a domain and get a private registration through them and their customer service will get you up and running in no time. It is truly a great value and to top it all off, it has one of the largest communities of users around so you can find the answers to almost any question!

Cons

If you are used to a drag and drop interface, Wordpress may be a little more robust then what you are used to. While it offers much, there is a little bit more of a learning curve then other sites. Wordpress also has many great possibilities but many third party themes and services do cost money and you could quickly find yourself paying a lot to get exactly what you are going for.

### "Been working with WordPress for over 6 years"

July 31, 2018

5.0

Pros

I'm using WordPress for several blogs and I think one of the best pros of WordPress is it's extensive, yet easy to use interface and that the installation process is very simple. More pros of WordPress are: - Very flexible in terms of adding new themes and features through the use of plugins. - Huge plugin and theme libraries available (Tip: focus on plugins with many installs). - Easy to develop new features or modify existing ones. - A lot of free information available on the web on almost any WordPress related subject. - Great upgrade process which works flawlessly in most cases.

Cons

Besides all these great pros there's also a few minor cons: - WordPress has a known track record for many severe vulnerabilities (Tip: install a firewall and try to avoid plugins with only a few installs). - No core WordPress automatic back-up functions.

### "Wordpress is the best CMS!"

February 12, 2019

5.0

My overall experience with Wordpress has been great! the software works really well and I have never had a problem with the underlying system. I have developed multipul sites and they turned out great!

Pros

I have dabbled in web site developement for friends and some small companies to help them out over the years. I have worked with straight html as well as Joomla and Drupal. Wordpress is easy to install (most online hosts can auto install it for you) once installed you can use the plugins to pretty much make it do anything you need it to do.

Cons

If you dont take care to really make your Wordpress site stand out, it is too easy to get that "cookie cutter" look where all wordpress sites look the same...just different pictures. The community support is somewhat hit or miss, but if you have a question someone has probably already asked it...just sifting through the comments to find the correct answer.

### "WordPress is a good tool for websites"

November 14, 2018

4.0

There are not necessarily any business problems with WordPress, it's just a little to manipulate around the software to make it look like what you envisioned for the site. It does get you there eventually, it just take a little longer. But the wait is worth it.

Pros

I've used Wordpress for about 2-3 years for developing and enhancing my website. Wordpress current version does have more features than about a year ago, but I think it's not as easy to use that comparable solutions. Manipulating within WordPress can become tedious. You really have to know where you want to go in order to make the software work. But it is pretty robust when it comes to developing an amazing website.

Cons

What I like the least about WordPress manipulating through the different pages in your website. It's not as easy as other tools to be able to just drag and drop when you want to make changes to pages. I think it’s a little rudimentary.

### "Could be better! But it's pratical! "

September 3, 2021

4.0

It's an amazing tool to use in any way! You can write to be a blogger and write for movies or work on the platform as a journalist. Works perfectly on pc version. The app could be more compact and easier to use even for older people. Overall, it is a wonderful tool for you who are looking for a new way to spread ideas and news.

Pros

It is an interesting tool for those who want to start using websites and blogs in a professional or personal way. There you can even work as an independent journalist. You can keep track of accesses and interactions with the public. As it is a tool with free possibilities, it becomes more democratic. And I love it.

Cons

Unfortunately if you use it in free mode, you will find many limitations. I understand that it is to privilege those who pay for the most complete services. But I think it could be more attractive, too, for those who want to use it for free. That's where Workpress loses audience. Because anyone who wants to make a free blog, sees bad templates and ends up migrating to other competitors.

### "Why WordPress Is The Right Choice For My Business"

January 28, 2019

5.0

WordPress is extremely flexible to use. There is no content limit and I was able to build myself a custom website without restrictions. WordPress allows you to own your own content, they are flexible as opposed to other web hosting services. WordPress is easy to customize, they have countless add-ons that are easy to use and I was able to My email marketing software, CRM software, SEO tools, all integrated with WordPress. WordPress also worked with the payment gateways I use for my business. WordPress has adapted to my needs over the years and I would recommend it as the best platform for anyone who wants to make a website.

Pros

By choosing WordPress for my business I was able to build the website I desired with clearly accessible content that I could design, customize, and manage.

Cons

It takes time to familiarize with the management, security, and installation of updates. Being completely in charge means exactly that. Since there is no hosting company you have to automate these tasks yourself.

### "WordPress Review"

October 7, 2021

5.0

Within fashion retail we use WordPress as a supplementary space for online stylists to create content within the business. I oversee the stylists and manage web traffic & reporting.

Pros

My top 2 features of Wordpress are the ways that you can customize your user experience either yourself or with one of the numerous templates to create a completely unique and tailored site or blog. My other favourite feature is that Wordpress is paired with a MySQL database, making it so easy to run custom reports on demand, engagement, site & link clicks, etc.

Cons

The new editor is actually easier to use and more streamlined but I'm so used to the former version that it took some getting used to.

### "Great CMS for starters and professionals"

January 5, 2020

5.0

I'm currently maintaining 10 different WordPress pages in various sizes and setups. The sites vary from personal Blogs to business websites to online stores. Some run out-of-the-box available plugins and templates, some run custom code or are heavily modified. Update and backup management can be achieved through a single, dedicated WordPress site running MainWP for all connected pages. Even disaster recovery or site migration to another hoster is a breeze.

Pros

The easy setup, administration and maintenance as well as the great plugin, template and support options available (free and paid). I also like how most plugins / templates follow the overall system / logic in WordPress and integrate themself logically into the menu structure for easy administration or content creation.

Cons

Due to the overwhelming amount of available plugins and templates the compatibility sometimes suffers. For example each new major WordPress release might break a plugin or template. Or just updating a single plugin might break compatibility with another which wasn't maintained for years and you have to dig into server logfiles or the source code to identify the issue.

### "Never would I have thought that building a cutting edge website could be so easy!"

September 19, 2017

5.0

Again, in the past, building a website was a nightmare. With Wordpress, that changed almost over night. The easy of use, available themes, and plugins to support your specific needs make building a website a breeze compared to what it used to be. I would highly recommend Wordpress to anyone looking to build a website, whether its for business or personal use.

Pros

In the past I had attempted build personal websites to showcase my personal portfolio, but I always ran into hurdles I couldn't overcome as a result of my lack of knowledge for web development. The creation of Wordpress changed that. Now with the easy to use interface and endless number of themes and plugins that are created to provide a specific service or action for your website, I have been able to easilr build a professional looking website that I would have been able to do otherwise. Finding and learning Wordpress has really taken my professional online presence to the next level, and I'm not quire sure what I would do without it.

Cons

As someone who has tried various methods of building a website, I can say that any frustrations I have pale in comparison with what I've experienced with Wordpress. Sure, there will always be a bit of a learning curve, but building a site with Wordpress has to be one of the least frustrating experiences I've had when building my presence online. With that said, I've got nothing to complain about regarding what they've provided to their user base.

### "Very flexible tech for quite a wide range of web publishing needs!"

January 31, 2021

4.0

We use this to make all different kinds of customer websites, we even use it on our own! From shopping cart integration sites to just information based sites this does it all. The editing experience can be modded heavily thanks to plugins... it can be a little confusing at first but once you get the platform bearings you'll be flying around in no time! A fine balance between WYSIWYG and HTML/CSS directly. You can mix and match hands on and off!

Pros

Wonderful extensibility via plugins, awesome support all over the web and youtube since it is so popular. Pretty much a standard unto itself!

Cons

When this platform breaks.. it really breaks! It can be tough to troubleshoot if you use a lot of plugins and they drift apart or since developers vary between projects if they 'stop talking to each other'. Also: It tends to be highly targeted by hackers if you don't stay up on the updates, sometimes this is automatic though. Another problem is that given the wide range of plugins that can change the way you edit sites, if you don't use enough of them taking over an existing site can be sorta confusing at first.

### "Wordpress Review"

January 19, 2019

5.0

Overall, wonderful. I am thankful everyday something like Wordpress exists. Without it, I'd have to pay a lot more for platforms with less capabilities.

Pros

Wordpress is my go-to platform for designing websites for clients. With the thousands of plugins/developers working on the project every day, I basically have all the capabilities I need for 99% of clients. If I can't code something myself, chances are good someone else has done it better than I could have. The amount of free/affordable plugins that are available is incredible. All in all Wordpress allows me to produce a great end product for my client without spending a crazy amount of time or money.

Cons

Two things: customer support and high learning curve. Because the platform is open-sourced, there isn't really quality customer support. A lot of answers can be found on their forums and elsewhere online, but it is all user-generated. Luckily, the popularity of the platform often make troubleshooting short-lived. Secondly, it took me a while to get a hang of using Wordpress. While it is certainly easier than custom building a website, platforms like Spotify and BigCommerce are easier for my clients to use on their end. If it is just me working and maintaining a project, I use Wordpress most frequently.

### "Suitable Platform For Building Responsive Websites"

I use WordPress on a daily basis for building and managing my clients website. I love the platform as it never for once let me down. You don't need to crack your brain for too much HTML, CSS, PHP codes. At times you don't need to write any code.

Pros

Ease of use. Interactive interface. Great features and functionality for website designs. Knowledgeable 24/7 support system.

Cons

The only thing I don't like about WordPress is their frequent updates of new versions. Allow atleast 6 months to pass before bringing out new versions.

### "WordPress is one of the most popular products in its niche for a good reason"

January 26, 2020

5.0

I've been using WordPress as both a regular user without any special privileges and as an administrator for more than a decade already and I've seen this CMS grow. Although others might be more secure or faster/easier on your server's resources, I think that WordPress is the best all-around solution for creating blogs and much more.

Pros

WordPress is very flexible, very easy to setup, and there are plenty of good themes and plugins available for free that one can get to further improve a website based on this piece of code. Obviously, since this is a very popular product, there are also a lot of excellent addons available for a price, which is usually affordable for everyone - WordPress-optimized hosting, themes, and plugins.

Cons

I always had something against the visual editor of this CMS — some might love it, but when it comes to fine-tweaking an article that I'll publish, I'd rather mess with the code myself. Thankfully, WordPress allows me to do that, so this is not that much of a problem. Finally, I should also add that WordPress is not exactly light on your server's resources, but as long as you're not planning to have thousands of simultaneous visitors on your website all around the clock, most decent shared hosting services should be enough for your needs.
