### "Super easy to use template based platform to create your own website/blog"

November 15, 2017

5.0

I used it to create a blogging platform and integrated with my existing website. It was easily sharable on social platforms which made it very easy to build an audience and reply back to their feedback/comments.

Pros

WordPress is easy to install (no technical knowledge required), gives good variety of templates to chose from, being open source has a huge list of plugins to chose from to add extra functionality, and is best for blog based websites which do not require complicated membership mechanism. This software can also be used as a CMS ( content management system). If I have to update any document, I can simply update and upload and it reflects the update on the website.

Cons

It's easy to use and gives step by step instructions, but you still need to use other tools to have a completely functional website. It would have been great to have everything integrated already with WordPress. Further, the target audience for this software is novice to intermediate. For complicated websites, other tools are better.

### "The best for publishing news"

June 10, 2022

5.0

Pros

I have used Wordpress for almost 10 years and I think it is the best for the use of sites that want to do information. The contents are always perfectly indexed on Google and it is also great for Google News. Wordpress is really very easy to use and is perfect for anyone who likes to write texts.

Cons

The display of the photogalleries should be improved, while for video sharing it is perfect

### "You get what you pay for, but it gets the job done"

February 26, 2021

5.0

I use WordPress for my website and blog. This service gets the job done. It offers a free plan and paid plans, and the features available are straightforward and easy to use. The downside is that for the premium features, you have to pay a premium price, but it's still cheaper than many similar services. Overall, WordPress is a secure and relatively inexpensive way to create a basic blog or website.

Pros

I like the interface the most. It's clear, straightforward, and the controls are right at your fingertips. The side bar holds all of the features that come with your plan, and it's only a few clicks to make use of everything you have access to. The stats section of the account has been incredibly useful to keep track of my audience and what they like and don't like. I also like the auto save feature when it works properly.

Cons

There aren't many features available with the less expensive plans. You get the basic blog or website, but the features available are attached to the plans, and all the worthwhile features are attached to the more expensive plans. Also, for me the program seems to glitch often. I will write something and then try to save it and it will tell me that it cannot be saved. This also happens with publishing posts.

### "Perfect Web development platform."

January 24, 2022

5.0

Pros

Easy to understand, easy to use, and easy to deploy. By far WordPress is the best website building platform I've ever come across and all of that for free.

Cons

Customer support needs a bit of development but other than that it's all good.

### "WordPress, the best CMS "

June 19, 2023

5.0

The ability to design and manage client and company website without much code knowledge has been a turnaround

Pros

WordPress offers a platform that has enabled our company to build a number of websites. It's simple to use, update and post content without necessarily knowing how to code.

Cons

Apart from plugin/theme/WordPress CMS updates causing errors, WordPress has been quite useful in managing all client websites

### "WordPress App Review"

December 10, 2020

5.0

I come from a coding background. Life is so much easier...lol

Pros

The feature that I like "most" about WordPress is the rich set of third-party tools and services. Being able to code is good as you will have a good understanding of what is happening in the background. But coding skills are not necessary, as there is so much out there.

Cons

The feature that I had the most issue with was working with the menus. But not an issue any longer. Just takes getting used to.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Had to move sie and just not enough support. Plus the cost. Still use ColdFusion, but nowhere near as much.

### "Your site will travel with you, not be captured by an online hosting provider"

April 17, 2019

4.0

I put off using WordPress for our website development projects for years due to the security issues. However, those have been solved in a multitude of ways. I've never had a site compromised myself, but I take care and know the pitfalls. Nevertheless, WordPress is the quickest and easiest way to get a site designed and live fast!

Pros

WordPress have revolutionized the area of web design. Many companies have tried and failed. While online systems like Wix and SquareSpace have a decent platform, they require that you use their systems to host the site; and when you are ready to leave, your site cannot go with you. WordPress is the most highly used software for online web design in the world and will travel with you from host to host.

Cons

This is not for beginners to design a site. They can maintain it after it is designed, but will get severely depressed trying to do a ground-up build.

### "My go-to web solution for clients"

August 1, 2018

5.0

It is so easy to use and very well supported by many third parties, businesses and hosting solutions. Great for developing custom sites for new clients, stablished businesses, and even some small e-commerce sites.

Pros

\- Free-to-use and open source. - Highly supported by the community. - The community is so big in fact there is a space for even niche industries, plugins, themes, builders, web hosting solution. - Easy implementation. - Beginner friendly. - Widely known.

Cons

\- It's popularity make most people consider Wordpress as unsecure for business. - Custom plugins and themes are a bit cumbersome to develop. Not as intuitive as other CMS. - It's not modular. For example, the blog platform is always there. Since that's it's core, but people are using Wordpress more and more for other purposes. I believe it's a good time to repurpose the software.

### "My Review is based on Wordpress Functionality and its Plugins."

April 17, 2020

5.0

I am satisfied with the use of Wordpress more ease of use and I will recommend you the beginner can give the benefit of this beautiful and helping software.

Pros

Wordpress is a great content management system because we can move our content as we like.and the second feature is Plugin that is the most exciting feature of Wordpress in which we can make use of them without deep knowledge of Programming.and the third feature is we can easily make eCommerce website with the use of Woo-commerce plugin. and at last, I can tell you about the feature of low cost that is almost free of using Wordpress.

Cons

First I can tell about the custom layouts of Wordpress is hard to use for beginner developer. and the second is lots of updates in themes and plugins. and the last things are site hacked because more security is needed for websites builder or owners.

### "WordPress powers pretty much everything I do"

March 27, 2018

5.0

We power literally everything we do for multiple large companies using WordPress. It is fully customizable and provides a great, clean framework to build from.

Pros

With the appropriate skills, you can do anything you want using WordPress. If you're thinking of it as a "blog platform," think bigger. We use it to power a number of enterprise websites, including some with significant databasing.

Cons

My only cautions about WordPress have nothing to do with the software and everything to do with ways I see it misused. Please don't use 57 different plugins for something you could accomplish in a half-hour of a professional developer's time; you'll end up with huge conflicts and bog down your site horribly. I'm also not recommending wordpress.com; spend the $3 a month and get some cheap hosting for your site so that you can truly own and manage it.

### "WordPress Review"

April 5, 2020

5.0

WordPress is the best compare to other Content Management systems.

Pros

We have been using WordPress as our core Content Management System for 2 years now. Its very simple, even a person with little programming skills can easily use. WordPress is actually 100% free which is a better choice for everyone. Making backups, Security and installing updates is straight forward and makes you to be in charge of your website. They are a lot of plugins and themes that you can choose from and so you wont struggle looking for the best. Installation is also simple and faster.

Cons

WordPress does not come with a built-in drag and drop website builder and so you will take a lot of time testing a number of them before settling on one.

### "Very user-friendly and versatile "

September 15, 2019

5.0

Pros

Easy to install, implement new plugins, and update features on the fly without having to edit and upload new html files. I love that I can have other editors log in and create pages and posts without having to give total access to my database. We use custom themes for our company site and there are are endless plug-ins available for features, forms, widgets, etc... I highly recommend WordPress for those who aren't web developers but want a quality website that can be self-managed.

Cons

I can't honestly say there is anything I dislike about WordPress.

### "Wordpress has everything thing we need"

November 20, 2020

5.0

Wordpress is a wonder of human cooperative endeavour- I’m serious.

Pros

You can get started with wordpress for free, it has excellent base functionality and is a fantastic choice to start a business website from. Many plugins are also free but you can add additional features by paying the developers or simply to support the contrbutors because of the great work they do to support this amazing infrastructure.

Cons

Initially there was a learning curve and wordpress documentation did not suit my learning style, however there are many YouTube tutorials that got me up to speed in no time.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Functionality like seo, crm, online booking and online shopping introduce security and privacy risks- wordpress is a framework that works constantly to address these issues, something a single developer could never keep on top of. I love that the community is always working to improve.

### "Industry Standard"

November 28, 2018

5.0

My overall experience with WP is very good.

Pros

WordPress is a must for anyone who wants a robust site. The infinite number of plug-ins is what makes this the absolute best website building platform out there. Everything else is child's play.

Cons

What I like least is the lack of customer service or the difficulty in obtaining customer service. However, and of course, you are supposed to go to the theme providers to obtain customer service but that can be challenging sometimes and when something cannot be solved through the theme folks you are up the creek without a paddle. On these occasions, I've ended up paying someone to resolve the issue for me or changed themes, or gone mad. It would be great if the theme providers were somehow accountable to WP and/or we could centrally report poor theme service providers.

### "WordPress for Business!"

August 25, 2022

5.0

Overall, WordPress has been wonderful to work with!

Pros

WordPress templates makes creating an attractive, easy-to-use website possible! The templates that are offered ensures you are building pages that are effective and time savers!

Cons

Some of the features can be hard to navigate if you are new to WordPress. There are a lot of terms specific to website building. It would be helpful to add a search bar. For example, you could search "Team" and it would take you to the team portion of the website so you can easily edit that page.

### "Just build it on WordPress"

April 27, 2019

5.0

Pros

I've helped launch hundreds of sites over the years and nothing is as easy as WordPress. Full disclosure, I'm not a developer so you may have a different opinion than me. But on the client side, WordPress not only makes my life easier because it's incredibly simple to update everything quickly – it also makes the client's life easier. I've trained countless people on WordPress basics and minimized my stress because they can now update their own website without confusing forms and developer language. Have dealt with Drupal, Joomla, Squarespace, and other sites and nothing is as good as WordPress.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the new Gutenburg content builder. Some menu items can also be difficult to find (why is the menus editor under appearance?). No major issues and nothing that can't be fixed or learned.

### "good for some"

November 7, 2018

4.0

Wordpress is good for those who can't afford a developer (or can only hire a developer to make small changes) and who have simple needs. I wouldn't make a WordPress site for my own business because it wouldn't give me the kind of control I want. However if I was making a site for a small corner shop and they wanted to be able to edit text on the home page, WordPress would be a good option.

Pros

\- I'm a web developer and I feel like WordPress is a pretty fast way for individuals to set up a website quickly (comparatively) and cheaply (again comparatively). - If a person is pretty tech savy they don't necessarily need to be a web developer to set up a web site. - Web developers can edit themes, create their own plug ins, and edit the code - Nice content editing for non developers - Lots of 3rd party plugins that can be used - Security updates - Can be run on your own server (choose your own host)

Cons

\- Always needing to move to the latest version of Wordpress (it's good, but a hassle to apply) - I have seen some people add a plugin that broke their site. - Less control over performance and optimization - If you are a developer you have to be coding in PHP (which sucks, in my opinion) - Business have less control over the design unless you spend money to hire a developer

### "Great start for website building but....."

September 20, 2020

4.0

It's not starter friendly as maybe others but it's still a good place to start if you are looking to build a website. Just keep in mind that you may still need to learn some coding but nothing heavy, just light things like HTML or CSS but other than that, anyone with some skills can handle the software with ease.

Pros

It's not as beginner friendly as I would of hoped for but it's not hard to learn. It's just a bit confusing to navigate at times but once you get the hang of the controls, you can start to build your site or do what you need fairly quickly. Its all right there for you and it provides you with some good visual tools for you to focus on what you need to do and drill down on rather quickly.

Cons

The problem with the software is that at times, it's a bit confusing, but it's not as bad as I thought. I couldn't navigate it on my first day and I got frustrated and didn't log in for a while but I got back to it and started again with a fresh mind and sure enough, I started get the hang of it. I want to partially say that part of it is because I expect things in a certain way but it's just structured to look like it repeats but each page has a different function. I can't fault it for my wants but I can still say it's a bit frustrating to navigate at times.

### "New design works well"

September 13, 2021

5.0

WordPress is a pleasure to work with for any Blogger. It has some wonderful features including AMP reporting which is essential for reports. Another added feature is being able to post your blog article to Twitter using the new Twitter Threads option which further enhances the content management process.

Pros

WordPress recently introduced a new version of the software. Some like it, some don't. It took me awhile to get used to the new version but once you get the hang of it the software works well for bloggers and content writers. It also has some wonderful features that help with building your brand.

Cons

Some of the new designs can take a bit of getting used to.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Overall functionality and ease of use. Works well with many fonts as well.

### "I use WordPress a lot. I mean a ton. Reliable, extensible, and secure. For sites with 30+ pages."

June 15, 2018

5.0

Advanced functionality for sites exceeding 30 pages.

Pros

You can find a plugin for almost any function you can dream of, and using that with WordPress market your business to the world. This is probably the easiest CMS for end-users who aren't web-savvy, but they'll need at least an IT coach, for obstacles. Another good thing, they maintain the software, so vulnerabilities get patched quickly, and you can get help from volunteers or countless articles online.

Cons

There's not much to dislike about WordPress. Of course, you need a power-user to really squeeze the most out of it, but anyone can probably get it running without too much hassle. The WordPress learning curve can take some time, and it's one of those things, the more you know, the more you realize how little you know. Robust, sometimes to a fault.

### "The Gold Standard for Websites"

March 4, 2019

5.0

At the end of the day, WordPress is leading the pack for good reason. Whether you're looking to create an e-commerce platform, personal blog or business website, WordPress can do it all.

Pros

The WordPress user interface is great for companies with multiple team members editing the website. It's easy to create and organize a lot of content. There are lots of templates to choose from that transition seamlessly from desktop to mobile view. Because of WordPress's blogger-focused background, a lot of their user interface is approachable for beginners. Best of all, it's free.

Cons

Advanced customization of your WordPress website requires an expert-level understanding of the software and html code, which can be a barrier for newer users. There are concerns about WordPress's security, although that's never been something I've personally encountered.

### "Best out of the box product for a great looking SEO friendly website"

July 24, 2018

5.0

Cheap and reliable software to build your website on.

Pros

First, WordPress is completely free. there's no beating that price point! Secondly, the customization possibilities are virtually endless with all of the different plugin and theme choices that are also available for free. You can also bet there are premium (paid) themes and plugins available to make your site look even more killer, or to give it some extra power or abilities under the hood. Finally, if you think that WordPress is just for blogs, think again. You can build online stores, forums, membership sites and anything else you can think of with the available customization options.

Cons

Honestly, I find it very difficult to come up with any negative points. Anything you don't like out of the box? Just change it with different themes or plugins.
