### "WordPress, a good option to post what you like most"

January 21, 2019

4.0

WordPress has become a platform that drives my business as a photographer and journalist. In my address or domain, WordPress weekly published articles on Venezuelan and Latin American photography with interviews and photos of well-known authors as well as events in the area of photography, plastic arts and design. I highly recommend WordPress for those people who want to share journalistic works of their own authorship and make themselves known in the whole world about what they like the most. It has worked for me, read my articles in all parts of the planet.

Pros

It is quite simple to use. The layout allows you to create blogs under the appearance of a web page. It is not necessary to pay for an address or web domain. Pretty dynamic appearance templates. You can use the content management system from your mobile phone. Easy to install mobile application.

Cons

The plugins are not free. To pay for the plugins you must have accounts in dollars abroad. Without plugins you can not capitalize on your WordPress blog. The option to share publications directly on Facebook was eliminated.

### "WordPress"

September 1, 2018

2.0

Pros

Once you have everything setup, its literally just plug and play. Adding content is not difficult once you have everything set up.

Cons

This software is not user friendly and does require someone with experience to set up your webpage for you. I had to have someone build it out first and I would add the content myself. I have realize that wordpress also tends to bug out every time there is an update. I don't really recommend this website unless you are able to create have a website builder create and kinda guide you through the steps, or else you will be very confused. The gadgets are useful but hard to incorporate into the website. There is much better website builder available now on the market such as wix or weebly. Make sure to give those a try before spending money on getting a site built.

### "Dinamic, reliable and really good for rookies"

January 19, 2021

5.0

I used WordPress for a website related to my Film series project a few months ago. And used the same software for another project (magazine, news portal). To be honest, WordPress is (in my opinion) the easiest and best way to go if you're on a budget. You only need to setup the thing, learn some things and install some plugins, and there you go, your website is ready and looking really good.

Pros

If you choose Wordpress.org then you are good to go, it's the free version and you can install it on your server with your own domain. You have .com as well, where you need to pay in order to use a custom domain and personalize the design. The setup part can be tricky but easy to understand with a guide or a tutorial. You can install your own themes, use a handful and massive collection of (free and paid) plugins and even install your own. The learning curve is not that slow, i can assure you that in 2 or 3 weeks your will be using the WordPress panel like a pro. What I like the most it's the fact that you have all the help that you need at the forum, even in other websites there is a lot of technical assistance, so there's not so much headaches using it. It updates easily, fast and automatically, so you don't need to download files and patch it.

Cons

As I said, WordPress is great but can be (kind of) tricky to setup at first. There is not a universal way to install it, each server and service needs different ways to install some things and solve some bugs. If you use the website and not the .org version, the free tier is really limited.

### "Great content management engine "

December 9, 2019

5.0

Wordpress is the best content management experience we've used to date. We've tried others and the editing process just isn't the same.

Pros

We use Wordpress to manage our large robust content engine. We wouldn't feel comfortable using any other platform.

Cons

If Wordpress had a more robust eComm platform we would switch over our store to one platform instead of using two.

### "Wordpress is the leader in Blog and simple web page open sourced products"

It's great product for every day use. It has huge opportunities to implement and scale it with different additional features. When it comes to development, You need to have an experienced Wordpress developer, than You can achieve anything there.

Pros

Simple setup Widely supported on web hosting's Easy to use, Tons of plugins. Strongly supported by communities Has \`wp\` command line tool for simpler maintenance

Cons

When used for not the right purposes, it can get messy and complicated. Multilanguage support is added by few plugins, but Wordpress originally is not designed for that

### "WordPress, the way to go."

October 19, 2021

Once I had an up to date version of Word Press I love the ease of adding content to the various pages I have.

Pros

I like Wordpress because there is a lot of websites out there on the WordPress platform. Many options to get help if you have issues.

Cons

The only thing I am concerned is the possibility of spam and hackers invading the platform.

Reason for choosing WordPress

I was familiar with WordPress so did not consider any other software.

### "Powering 30% of websites"

March 27, 2019

5.0

I've been using WordPress for well over a decade as a blogger and podcaster. I've used it to build and maintain several of my own websites as well as websites for select clients. It's my go-to website platform.

Pros

WordPress is an incredibly powerful online publishing platform. In its base form, it's free to use with your own hosting and can be expanded in a variety of ways using both free and paid plugins. From the standpoint of a content creator, it makes online publishing as easy as working with a word processor.

Cons

While WordPress is powerful and extensible, it does take time and effort to make sure that everything stays up-to-date and that there are no conflicts between plugins and themes. And, because it's so popular, it is a common target for hackers and phishing schemes, so users always have to be vigilant about security and passwords.

### "So much awesome!"

October 3, 2018

5.0

Pros

I don't know if I can honestly list all the amazing things about wordpress. I have been building website using Wordpress for 8 years and I honestly wouldn't consider doing it any other way. I know there are lots of complaints about security and updates, but if you use Wordpress properly, you don't encounter them. There is not better system to manage content, build quick and easy websites, or dig in for things that are more complex. The Wordpress community is top tier and the amount of people that are willing to help out is phenomenal. So many external plugins, themes, and scripts that make Wordpress great.

Cons

My biggest complaint about wordpress would be that there is not official support. It would be nice to be able to email the company that makes Wordpress to get some questions answered.

### "A serious blogger's/startup's best friend- easily design & manage quality websites"

January 12, 2021

4.0

I have been a Wordpress user for over 7 years now, as a non-coder. That's statement enough to ward off fears that non-technical people can't use Wordpress. There's tons of literature and fan-army on the web that help you with every conceivable issue you may find yourself in. The 3rd-party ecosystem is mind-boggling. And I love the fact that I control every aspect of my website design, development, and maintenance. Yes, it can feel buggy or bloated at times, and you may want to scream in frustration when your site doesn't come across as intended or if you make a silly mistake and have to redo the entire database again. You may feel that the new-age website creation software for dummies are better. But just hold on. Wordpress's pros far outweigh its cons. I am a fan. Kudos to Wordpress.

Pros

In-depth features/suite and admin panel. An excellent ecosystem of 3rd-party plugins that really make it useful and efficient for those who can't code themselves. You can go simple or design complex websites if you really want to. A really wide array of literature to solve any issue you can face.

Cons

There is a slight learning curve, however, that's not a limiting factor. But sometimes you may feel that alternatives like Wix would be far simpler to use and churn better-looking sites. I am not sure if tech support even exists. But I get that. Way too many people use the free Word press software.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Total control, and the best-in class 3rd-party integrations.

Pros

Pros

Widely known in the community of bloggers, so that learning can be hundreds of existing tutorials on the web. The free version allows you to place the bases of a website. In its paid version, accounts with great tools for SEO management. They have a great control of their platform, that is why, they are constantly publishing the updates for their technical support team or user community.

Cons

### "Creating content with WordPress"

May 18, 2019

5.0

Creating content and hosting an online portfolio.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use. There is no steep learning curve using this content management system. As an end user, creating content with WordPress is a breeze. As a newbie developer, creating a portfolio site with WordPress was so easy because there was a lot of information that newbies like me found helpful. WordPress's huge community of developers who answer questions from newbies is another thing I love about building with this CMS.

Cons

I don't like the WordPress text editor. Most times, I write somewhere else and import into WordPress. Although the new Gutenberg update looks promising, I still prefer the Medium text editor with its wide open and minimalist design.

Reason for choosing WordPress

I chose Wordpress over Squarespace as Squarespace is way more expensive.

### "WordPress for the Win!"

August 31, 2021

5.0

Pros

WordPress is a very approachable, user friendly software for creating, updating and maintaining our website. While we enlisted professional help to initially set up our website, we've been able to manage nearly all updates and changes ourselves. It's quick and simple yet the end-product is professional and aesthetically appealing. We also get positive feedback from our clients regarding ease of finding information and interacting with our site.

Cons

On occasion, the formatting of a page will not represent the intention of the information we input. For example, there is more limited flexibility in font type so we sometimes find it more difficult to have a particular page look the way we'd intended.

Pros

### "Good for multiple users and great for beginners "

November 16, 2019

4.0

Strongly positive. We replaced an old, outdated, difficult to use website with a contemporary, responsive design that was easy to update. The process was easy and the results were very well received.

Pros

The user interface was built with non-developers in mind, which made it very easy for me to bring my colleagues up to speed quickly. I was able to teach several “non-tech” folks how to make changes, schedule posts, and do basic website maintenance with little trouble.

Cons

The way we had it set up was to make it easy for inexperienced users to make changes and updates without screwing up all the hard work that went into building our website. In essence, we created a template. This meant that while it certainly did exactly what we wanted, our self-imposed template made it challenging for inexpensive users to create pages that did not conform to to template. Those users were frustrated (however, it was working exactly as intended).

Reason for choosing WordPress

The previous website was built without any sort of content management system and required the webmaster to code in raw html. This meant only a small number of people could make updates or changes to the site. Frankly, anything would have been better. ### "The best content management system for newcomers"

December 30, 2022

5.0

I began with a simple blog website and have since developed other WordPress-based websites for e-commerce and other sectors. It's incredibly simple to set up, and the plugin library is fantastic; everything can be done in a few steps if you know what you're doing. The only disadvantage is the need for regular plugin upgrades and administration.

Pros

SEO is superior to PHP or any other website management system since it has all of the methodical tools to accomplish all of the job.Working well even on low-end serversIt is simple to preview modifications before publishing material.

Cons

There are several features, therefore you must become acquainted with their locations. Some rudimentary website functionality, such as email sending, might be included in the base installation. The only complaint I have is that there is no totally fluid builder, but that is it. Similar builders exist, but they are not as adaptable.

### "An avant-garde software with tradition"

July 23, 2018

5.0

If your need is to make blogs or web pages then, you have to try this software. With a long-standing tradition and up-to-date updates, they make it one of the largest in the market in this field

Pros

On my way to get the best tool to design a quality blog, I came across this software, very useful and complete to design web content through a blog, which is nourished with information that we systematize daily practices sports and training with the community. During the passage of time I have seen how Wordpress has not expired, on the contrary, it has been improving and has been adapting to the new time, and this happens thanks to its open source, any user of this software can, modify, add and innovate features that make Wordpress a tool that can adapt to new user demands. It also has a control panel quite solid and intuitive that allows you to strain information in the most correct way, using the elements of headings, web routes, photographs, videos and other elements that enrich the texts. At the time of having problems with the software you have a first-class technical support that solves your problems in most cases

Cons

I think the problem to be overcome by Wordpress developers is the issue of security in the different blogs and published content, since there have been multiple problems with massive hacking of information.

### "WordPress changed the world"

December 24, 2019

5.0

Overall WordPress has given me the ability to write blogs related to my work. Plan an e-commerce store and overall be in complete control of my revenue and exposure through website optimization, ability to control and view code, manage Adwords and more. WordPress as a platform is a fascinating way to build a website and become part of the amazing worldwide web eco system.

Pros

WordPress had changed the world. The ability to create your own website, control the traffic, control the ads and collect revenue from the hard work of SEO and Adwords is absolutely game changing. Being able to install WP Themes that look like some of the big FAANG websites out there and even set up an e-commerce store is absolutely fascinating. I love being able to write blogs, advertise, cater to an audience and watch my traffic grow. Be in complete control of my website from front to back end.

Cons

WordPress is very complicated in a sense that you have to constantly update it to avoid malware being implanted in your account. Unlike some of the easy website builders like Wix or Square Space you are in complete control of WordPress so if something breaks its on you to figure out the code or the add-on. It requires a ton more tenacity.

### "DIY WEBSITE the Sure and free way"

April 22, 2019

5.0

Wordpress is the best way to build a professional multifunctional website. This gives power in your hand rather then a developer with knowledge to know how to do things. It's no longer an option for business it's a must if you want the control in your hand.

Pros

Wordpress is easy to use and it has step by step guide on setup and how to get started. It comes with it's own themes which you can use. Other amazing developers have released their own free themes for people to use and on top of that if you are stuck anywhere just Google it and the problem will be solved.

Cons

It is easy to use but it works mainly with plugins. When you install a lot of plugins it is possible that you might have a security breach. This only happens if you don't regularly update the the plugins. It can be solved with a simple outofthebox firewall service provider like sucuri.

Pros

Cons

### "User Friendly And Easy To Use CMS"

October 3, 2018

5.0

Overall had have the great experience. User friendly interface and easy navigatiom system. Did not need a lot of technical knowledge or coding skills to use it for a business or personal website.

Pros

I will give 10 star rating to WordPress. This is the best CMS to use especially for a layman as this doesn't need very much technical knowledge, even a non technical person can easily handle and use the WordPress. It has a great variety of plugins. If you need customization that can also be possible. You can create and manage a simple informative website, an ecommerce store etc on wordpress. In short, wordpress is best.

Cons

I have been using wordpress from many years and quite impressed with this cms. I did not find any negative thing about wordpress just the one that I have heard that it is less secured. But I did not feel the same.

### "The best choice for most websites"

February 22, 2019

5.0

I have used Wordpress for our company's website with not many problems. It's easy to maintain and update. It's easy to add functionality with plugins. Our developers don't get many requests to fix stuff like they did back when we had the Joomla site. Marketing has an easier task updating it. I have also used it to create an online store, and that proved more challenging, but definitely possible. There are lots of tutorials online that help in case you are not a developer or designer used to dealing with websites. I would definitely consider it as one of the best choices for creating a website today.

Pros

It's very easy to use, yet quite powerful. You can add most functionalities you might need by using plugins (some are free, some cost a few bucks). You have the choice of self hosting it or simply getting one at Wordpress.com (yes with custom domain). Blog and basic website functions are out-of-the-box, but you can make a wordpress grow into quite a big website, or online store with little effort and cost.

Cons

Getting a Wordpress going from scratch on a self hosted server, even if easy for someone tech savvy, might be a bit much for other users. Those might choose creating one online at wordpress.com, which later might be a cit constraining since not all plans offer full access to editing HTML files or CSS. This means that as your site grows you might have to switch to paid plans or migrate to a self hosted option.

### "The Swiss Army Knife of CMS"

February 20, 2021

5.0

I use WordPress nearly exclusively for all of my client websites. I love how accessible WordPress can be to turn designs into WordPress websites. The tools I use in conjunction like Gravity Forms, Advanced Custom Fields and Coblocks really help to bring together the vision I have for my client's websites.

Pros

WordPress alongside the plugin and theme libraries that are out there is a tool every web developer should be using to build websites for their clients. I have used WordPress way back in the 1.0 era when it was just a blogging tool. Now at 5.6/5.7 the tools and assets at our disposal as developers is growing and even easier to build robust websites for clients.

Cons

The learning curve can be difficult for some people, as well as finding themes and plugins that work well for what you need can be hard to find as there are 100s of thousands to sift through.
