### "CMS of choice"

May 6, 2021

I enjoyed using WordPress for creating websites and building digital businesses.

Pros

The huge library of plug-ins to customize your site and increase your functionalities.

Cons

The user experience must be improved for beginners. They can accomplish this using some type of guided tours and prompts.

### "Industry Standard for Websites"

May 1, 2019

4.0

Pros

Wordpress is the industry standard for building websites. The amount of third-party plugins and additional things that have been made around Wordpress is what makes it as amazing as it is. You are able to literally make just about anything you want and the best part is that it is FREE.

Cons

If you have never used WP then you are in for a treat and not a tasty one. It is very confusing and overwhelming to newcomers. The constant changes to the platform also make it hard to keep up with at times unless you are interacting with it on a daily basis. I have been using Wordpress for a number of years now and I would hardly say I am a master. I am not saying it is too robust of software because who can complain about something so powerful but, it's too robust...

### "Wordpress is a great platform for beginners"

April 27, 2018

4.0

Wordpress is a valuable, flexible, consistent CMS that is capable of quite a lot. It's the swiss army knife of CMS platforms.

Pros

Wordpress is flexible. Web content changes a lot, and there is always something new and different that people want to do with their website, or blog, or whatever. That means keeping up requires a platform that can handle lots of different things. Wordpress has the codebase and user community to adapt as things progress. In this way, it is superior to some other CMS platforms I've used. Wordpress is also pretty awesome when it comes to problem-solving. Guaranteed, there is someone else who has had the same problem (or idea) as you, so finding existing solutions can really save a lot of time and effort. A number of forums and resources exist for Wordpress, so it would be hard to really, truly get stuck on something. Lastly, Wordpress is powerful and valuable. Yes, hosting will never be free, but this is a quality CMS for nothing (unless you go with the easy premade templates, in which case pricing is decent). It might take some tinkering to make the site just like you want, but you can do it, and without spending a dime on complex web design software.

Cons

While Wordpress is flexible, it's not the most elegant CMS I've used. Sometimes finding just the right setting, or changing exactly what you want is not straightforward. On top of that, the dizzying array of plugins can sometimes feel a bit hackneyed. There are sometimes dozens of options that all seem to do the same thing, which is inconvenient and at times annoying. This is my least favorite part of Wordpress. There are absolute mountains of themes, plugins, assets, templates, and anything else you could need. While this is nice, some curation of the platform would be nice (without paying someone to do it).

### "Any site on WordPress is launched and configured very quickly"

August 10, 2018

5.0

Pros

I have been dealing with sites created on CMS WordPress for more than 10 years and I am pleased to see how the system develops. For example, I remember how there were difficulties with updating the system, now it's all done almost automatically. The second plus is the availability of a large number of useful articles about this CMS, so if you have questions, you can solve them almost instantly. Well, the system of plug-ins pleases. First, there are a lot of standard plug-ins, and secondly, it's not so difficult to develop a new one.

Cons

WordPress uses global variables everywhere and for everything. It would seem that this is not bad, but in fact it is very inconvenient and I have to avoid it whenever possible. This is not my personal thought, this statement is described in detail in a variety of articles and is not something new or surprising for an experienced programmer. Briefly, global variables can be changed at any point in the program, which can affect the operation of other parts of the program. For this reason, global variables have unlimited potential for creating mutual dependencies, which leads to the complication of the program. Global variables also make integration of modules difficult, because the code written earlier can contain global variables with the same names as in the plug-in. Of course, if you use only the built-in modules, this serious problem will not concern you. But I'm developing complex projects, so I often have to deal with these variables.

### "WordPress has been an amazing CMS for my company, it's easy to use and feature-rich"

May 5, 2018

5.0

Beautiful websites that are aesthetically pleasing, fast, and able to handle anything thrown at it.

Pros

I love how easy it is to install WordPress plugins for additional functionality and features. Using Woocommerce to setup payment processing has been a major plus. Blogging on other platforms feels wrong compared to WordPress. I love everything about the platform and wouldn't go over to another.

Cons

Lack of customer service. If there is an issue you will be on your own. This hasn't been a huge issue since I'm tech savvy and if I can't figure it out someone on my team can. However, it would be nice to have customer service to help out. I must add that I haven't had any losses or serious issues with WordPress so if nothing changed I would still be extremely happy with the software.

### "Simply the best website developer software"

January 20, 2021

5.0

Of course, I'll give this app a 5 star rating because of it's uniqueness. No need struggling with HTML, JAVA SCRIPT writing and other coding even though they are also there. It is highly user-friendly and provides all that is needed to build a professional website.

Pros

Using WordPress has been nothing less than amazing and simple. It's no doubt the best software for building and developing a website. The time I devote spending on WordPress has been a productive one, helping me finish up a task with ease. There is absolutely no need for coding, everything one needs to design a professional website is readily available and very simple to use and access.

Cons

As unique as the app appears, it is also not without it's faults. It becomes stressful overtime searching for very important plugin that could be in the software. So many of them are expensive to activate when found and also complex to use. The storage capacity for some of the plan is very low and does not allow for larger task.

### "It is a good option to create and manage any type of web projects"

July 24, 2018

4.0

In my opinion wordpress is a solid tool, it has a large number of plugins that will allow us to add any functionality we want to our projects. In addition, it is very easy to use and its great variety of free and paid templates will allow us to give a very professional look to our work.

Pros

Wordpress offers two versions to its users, wordpress.org is the most complete version of the software and allows users to obtain thousands of free and optimizable templates. In addition, it allows you to expand the options by using different plug-ins (extensions) and all your updates are really useful and easy to install. In general the software works well, its interface is quite friendly so it is very easy to use.

Cons

It is quite difficult to find a disadvantage in this software, in general it works quite well. I have used both versions and the only negative I noticed is that the free version is quite limited, in addition all the processes are manual, including the insertion of codes.

### "Best CMS Period"

February 15, 2019

5.0

I've been using it for 5 years. I have a web design company and we started with Wix and after we grew and realized it wasn't going to scale, we changed to Adobe Muse. We ran into more issues with scaling and once we learned WordPress we haven't looked back. It's the leading platform for a great reason. Open source plugins can solve any problem you can throw at it.

Pros

Scalable! ANY business can succeed with this software. Being open source makes the growth limitless which is great for large organizations. It is great for bloggers as well because it is so easy to make new posts. The templates free and paid are incredible and anyone can make a great looking website with minimal skills.

Cons

I wish out of the box it was a little easier, but there are so many builder packs you can use that if you have that knowledge, there is no reason you can't make a great site.

### "Wordpress is great for those with some knowhow and professionals"

February 11, 2021

5.0

Our firm has used Wordpress since we began 10 years ago. For most business, especially those that don't have ecomm, it is excellent. As advanced users, we appreciate the ability to use much of of the platform out of the box and the ease in which to custom code sites with it.

Pros

Wordpress is a great open source platform for designing and building websites. It is easily the industry standard for professionals. Very robust and capable of any design and development desire.

Cons

Being open source code, there sometimes lacks standards and universalness. However, the biggest drawback to Wordpress is its lack of a fully integrated e-commerce solution. The "main" ecomm tool, WooCommerce, is ridiculously difficult to program, requires a long list of add-ons and plugins to supplement it if you want any kind of customization and then still expect to hack and code on top of that if you want really custom ecomm for a site. Big Commerce, Shopify and some others are light years ahead.

### "Dynamic, Cost-Effective, and Easy to Use!"

September 29, 2021

5.0

WordPress has given us the ability to have a world-class website for end-user experience while allowing easy content management on the backend for admins with various levels of skill sets.

Pros

WordPress can support a vast amount of functionalities through widely available or custom-built plugins - everything from storefronts and payment processors to managing and displaying media assets. If there is a specific function you need, it's probably already been developed!

Cons

Given its popularity and a wide amount of developed plug-ins and themes, there can at times be greater security risks for WordPress websites over other similar products and services.

### "Easy and cheap way to make a website"

December 27, 2018

5.0

Wordpress is the most popular of the CMS platforms and there are many reasons for that. Tons of options to choose from, constantly product updates and a community willing to help are some of the good things that Wordpress offers.

Pros

The software is open source so there is no fee on using the product. You can install free or paid plugins (add-ons) to extend its capabilities. You can choose among thousands if themes to make it look the way you like. It is fast, mobile responsive and 1 out of 3 websites worldwide use it.

Cons

If you want to customize it more to feet your need you will, most likely, need to pay some money to buy some plugins. Also, you cannot build a website if you have no experience at all. You must spend some time on the youtube watching tutorials before you can start creating something good.

### "The best, but....."

February 1, 2019

5.0

WordPress is still the best, but will look to use the fork of it called ClassicPress in the future.

Pros

Moved to WordPress (.org) from another open source platform. Found the community was incredibly large and helpful. That alone made it so anything new coming out, like a new social media platform, can be easily integrated because someone quickly made a plugin to integrate.

Cons

If this review were written before 5.0, I would say WordPress was basically flawless. After 5.0 Gutenberg, I would say WordPress made an incredibly big misstep. You can just see the terrible reviews for Gutenberg which the moderators are filter out as I've seen first hand. My account has been flagged and I challenge anyone to find anything disrespectful that I've said- all of my posts are under my account.

January 10, 2020

We used WordPress to create a totally customized website and e-store. Since we were in full control of the backend, we were able to implement changes quickly and exactly how we wanted them.

Pros

The WordPress platform provides users with the opportunity to control almost every aspect of their website. Along with that, the vast supply of plugins available means you can always find the right thing for your needs!

Cons

There is a fairly steep learning curve! However, there are a TON of resources online (YouTube, etc) where you can find out how to do just about anything.

Pros

The fact that Wordpress makes it so easy to create simple and wonderful blog content and backlinks for my websites is a very great feature,

### "WordPress is the easiest and fastest tool to create your website"

March 24, 2018

5.0

You can develop a very fast website and the Community Managers of your company can handle them and update them directly. You do not need and programmer for it.

Pros

WordPress is easy to operate, it does not require much programming knowledge and can be installed quickly. There are many topics that are easy to install. Something very important is that you can scale the project according to the need, there is a large amount of plugin for everything like Blubrry for podcas, WP Google Maps for maps, Compact for audio player and others.

Cons

The pages are not designed within their context so you do not know how the work is going; the plugins are configured in the WP-Admin interface, this is not friendly. The worst thing is that the websites developed in WordPress are not fast, they tend to be slow.

### "The most popular CMS on the web"

November 27, 2019

5.0

Overall experience so far has been very positive, been building websites using Wordpress for years and it only gets better!

Pros

Wordpress is perhaps the most popular content management system to date. It caters to a wide audience, from the would be blogger to web design agencies and even large corporations which utilize Wordpress as there go to choice to build their websites on. Highly extendable with plugins and customizable with various themes and even page builders/theme builders. Every website built with Wordpress is unique in it's own right.

Cons

There's not much not to like about Wordpress, unless you are trying to use it the old fashioned way by hand-coding everything you need. Then it may get a bit tedious, but it still saves you time from building your website from scratch.

### "There's No Better Website Platform"

October 16, 2018

5.0

Pros

With over a third of the internet built on Wordpress, it's safe to say it's among the best CMS platforms available today. It's open source so there are thousands of plugins you can find to help you add functionality to a website, from simple code insertions to complex ecommerce automation. It's user-friendly and there is a wealth of info online about how to get the most out of the platform. From custom css to pre-built theme templates, you have maximum control over the website and how it performs. There's no reason to use anything else in my opinion.

Cons

The customization and user-friendly interface means more code bloat which often results in slower load times for wordpress sites that have lots of bells and whistles. That's to be expected, but can be a big downer. Also you have to stay updated or else you risk the site breaking or opening to security risks. You can have everything auto-update, but that can also cause breaks if plugins stop playing well together. While wordpress is a very universal program that will always be around because it can adapt so easily, it requires constant attention to avoid malfunction.

### "This is a great software for anyone who would like a professional website for free"

April 11, 2019

5.0

One business problem that I'm changing is providing my readers a blog and bring in new readers and clients. It helps with I'm promoting a new product or service and because I'm in the entertainment field, being able to integrate a youtube video in a blog makes it so much easier to change content with my readers. I also love the drop and drag feature of images.

Pros

The one thing that I love about the website having a website or blog where I can write. I love the new changes of wordpress. I love that I can integrate forms, video and even have a music player. The second thing that I like is the price for having a website is pretty cheap for a monthly plan, but because I am a small business, I am just using the service as a blog for now. I love the step by step checklist that it gives you when you are creating a blog. It helps a lot when it comes to making one look professional.

Cons

I'm not a fan of two things with using this software. The first is the limited numbers of templates. I feel like when you are creating a blog, there should be able to have a lot more options. Second I'm not a fan of the domain creations. I change a lot of ideas, and that sometimes includes changing names of websites or blogs that I need at that moment. When you are creating a blog or website with this software the name of the website can be change at anytime but the domain creating does not seem to change. When you try to change it, it's not free so this is one issue that I'm not happy about.

### "Wordpress - Powerful, Easy-to-Use, Website Software for Any Industry"

January 26, 2021

5.0

I love the look and feel of WordPress websites. Our members and students love accessing the content on our site as well as reading the articles and attending our programs - all hosted on the WordPress platform.

Pros

I have been using WordPress in my business for over ten year. The platform is easy to use and offers a gorgeous website. It's as easy to create content on WordPress as it is to write an article in Microsoft Word.

Cons

It's important that users use a secure hosting company to secure and protect their site. After having difficulties with security with with several hosts, we moved to WP Engine and are delighted and grateful with the security and support.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Wordpress is the easiest and most affordable option - and it yields an attractive website.

### "The best CMS, as of today"

October 16, 2022

5.0

I started using Wordpress because I had read a lot about this content management system, both in technology forums and in some websites or newsletters. By that time there were already hosting and domain companies that also offered the service of creating websites in minutes and without knowing anything about programming. However, the results I obtained in those companies did not leave me completely satisfied. Luckily I found Wordpress and everything seemed very professional to me, the multiple tools it has and the possibility of modifying absolutely everything to the client's taste, made me realize that this platform was at another level. Later I found out that a lot of websites of different companies and organizations were made with Wordpress, and then I understood why I made that decision.

Pros

What I liked most about Wordpress, is definitely its ease of use. This web content manager has the ability to build web pages in a professional way to the style and size we want, but without having to know much programming code. The plugins and themes provided by the WordPress community, help a lot in this aspect.

Cons

What I dislike the least about the platform are the prices it has in its plans and custom domains, there is a lot of competition in this area and looking on external sites you can find much better prices than those offered by Wordpress.com, at least as far as domains are concerned.

### "I prefer to use wordpress for my website "

November 19, 2018

4.0

Pros

Wordpress is an open source website that I always use for my website. First I tried with wordpress.com and then I tried with wordpress.org. Both are great. You can use free and paid version with wordpress.com, or you can use open source website with wordpress.org if you have some knowledge about Information Technology. I used to create my first website by using open source code at wordress.org. As you can image, I didn't know much about website code and also just know a little English. But I can create my first website since many years ao. So you can see it's not really too difficult for a newbie. Just try and I believe you will like it.

Cons

Sometimes it causes errors or conflict with the other plugins, you have to take time to find a solution.

### "WordPress review from real user "

March 21, 2021

3.0

In total I very complicated marketplace with my team, but it took too much time, because of many restrictions and few available options that we need, still the web is not full of options that we need and some of them are working a bit different way, but in total it is great ! I would recommend WordPress for people who need simple web pages or simple online stores, because there is everything to make them great looking and working.

Pros

Mostly I like that it is easier to use if you re not able to write php code by your own. It has options for administrator, producing high quality online store or not to complicated marketplace. Mostly and best part of it is that you can use it to produce fast simple web pages.

Cons

Least I don't like that there is everything connected only to some additional patches that should be downloaded and add in your web pages and you are not able to make them fork like you want. It is the point that you are always addicted to additional programs that will help you to make your web better. One more thing that is least I like is that if you make really complicated page it will work really slowly if we compare to personalized coding.
