### "A Bloggers Dream! "

September 11, 2018

5.0

Overall, I enjoy WordPress so much. I use it very frequently and I know other entrepreneurs who use this as well. I also know other business owners who use this as well. It's so universal. I love how I have had no big complications with my writing or blog posts. I also love how anyone can use WordPress.

Pros

I like how WordPress is easier than other similar blog post sites. Even if you don't buy the premium options I love how I am still able to use so many options to create posts. I need WordPress to write blog posts for many platforms. I have more than one platform and business, so I have to use different themes constantly. I also love how even though I don't have premium there are options and they are still really nice format options/themes. I also like how I am able to add other users that I am working with to WordPress to work on an assignment post or a blog post. I love how I am able to save my drafts easily. I have to always come back and edit my posts, so this always helps. I also like how if I have an issue with my WordPress site the WordPress customer service team is really wonderful. They are quick with solving any issue I have had and the helpful tip page is so useful. There are questions on that page that can help you with any questions you may have about your WordPress site.

Cons

The only thing I dislike is I wish WordPress had more video attachment options. Like an option to format your video in great detail. Something new or unique with the video options. For example, it would be very cool if when you post a video attachment to your blog post you could format the video before hand. I haven't seen many sites like WordPress that do this type of thing. This would be awesome!

### "Hands Down the Best CMS & Blogging Platform"

April 6, 2018

5.0

I've created websites for 2 of my startups and a good dozen or so for our clients. The ease of implementation and modification makes building great sites for our clients a breeze. Delivering optimized blog content for our clients is also helpful, and in no time the client is usually ready to take the wheel on their content creation.

Pros

The platform is open-source, which means it's free to use and develop on. It is constantly under revision and any bugs are usually fixed quickly. I love the fact that there are essentially unlimited options for what you can do with WordPress self-hosted. Easily optimizable and virtually limitless.

Cons

Developing offline is a bit trickier unless you know how to code, and it can be tough to know how to upload to your web host, but with a bit of patience and the will to learn the sky is the limit!

### "WordPress Review"

October 3, 2018

5.0

Able to create great sites with a good deal of functionality that are able to rank well on Google and other search engines.

Pros

Great software this is easy to create high image sites that most website programmers can easily work with. One of the most popular CMS in the world. Lots of options and you can do almost anything or handle any client's request with WordPress.

Cons

Takes lots of plugins to manage the site. Often these update and when it happens the update can cause conflicts with other plugins. This means we have to troubleshoot to figure out what is causing the error which takes come time. This can be a pain. Some popular themes like Avada and Divi can have slow load times and take a lot of adjustment and often additional plugins and CDN's to achieve a good load speed.

Pros

O Wordpress melhora constantemente, com uma base ampla de desenvolvedores que trabalham para que os códigos fiquem cada vez mais leves, produtivos e compatíveis com as novas linguagens.

July 7, 2022

Overall WordPress is good and one of the most used CMS available in the market. All pros and cons are part of the CMS. The cons can also be removed if the right person is handling WordPress.

Pros

More features and Plugins. Big websites are easy to handle. E-commerce websites are easy to make and handle. Easy to manage Products. Easy for SEO

Cons

Payment options are difficult to settle. Speed is not good. Updates can be hectic to install. Hacking is easy because of open source.

### "Amazing CMS for websites"

December 11, 2019

5.0

I use Wordpress for simple websites. Assigning different levels of credentials to users, I can allow my colleagues to keep the content of the website updated, without letting them access the code of the website, which is very convenient as they focus only on the content and not on the programming. Being based on php, it is not difficult to intervene manually and fix eventual issues, by changing the code itself.

Pros

Being an opensource php based solution, Wordpress has a really big number of developers who deploy plugins and templates, making it extremely versatile for small websites.

Cons

Often the updates are so big that older plugins need to be updated as well. Being the number of the available plugins so big, it often happens that developers do not release their updates in a timely manner and waiting is required. Nonetheless, the compatibility check always warns of this kind of issues before installing the latest version.

### "Wordpress all the way, always"

July 26, 2018

5.0

Pros

This software is the best balance of user interface with customization if necessary. The ability to add plugins for absolutely everything, fantastic 3rd party themes like Divi by Elegant Themes, and the trustworthiness of using a system that over 1/4 of the world uses for their website are all of the best things about using Wordpress.

Cons

Because Wordpress is so popular, if you don't manage it properly it can be hacked. Happened to me and it cost me a lot of time. It can take a little bit of time to learn how to use it and you need to pay for a theme that allows for a visual builder to be able to compete with the functionality of sites like Squarespace and Wix. But if you spend a bit of extra time to set it up, it will scale with you for years.

### "Awesome, user-friendly websites"

February 20, 2019

5.0

Pros

I was a web designer for many years, and still build websites sometimes for my social media clients, in addition to my own websites for my two businesses. Thus, I have tried many site builders - Squarespace, Wix, and Weebly - as well as self-hosted, hand-coded sites. But Wordpress easily tops them all, and I won't use any other software. To be clear, I'm talking about Wordpress.org, not Wordpress.com. Just a few of my favorite things: it allows users to host their own website on a host of their choosing, rather than a site building platform that technically owns their site; it's very easy to get started with using templates, of which there are thousands to choose from (many of them are free); it's endlessly customizable with plugins, widgets, and coding; and in my opinion, sites built with Wordpress look the most professional.

Cons

Personally I love Wordpress for its robust features, and find it very easy to use. Some people who are just getting started with site building or need something super basic may find it intimidating, and would have an easier time with a simple site-builder.

### "Great Platform to Build Website Without any Knowledge of coding "

October 7, 2022

5.0

I used to use WordPress for many websites and what I loved most was that it never required a coding background. This allowed me to build my website within a 2-3days, with an intuitive interface that was really easy to navigate. I would definitely recommend this CMS to anyone who wants a great-looking, responsive site without

Pros

I have been working on & managing websites on WordPress CMS for more than two years. I used to be afraid of coding as I came from Non-IT Background, but WordPress has made the process of building websites of any type very easy. I can easily say that WordPress is the best CMS on the market and almost free to use!

Cons

Although WordPress requires almost no coding to build any type of website. But, when it comes to building E-commerce based website it is not the preferred CMS because of the lack of Plugin Options apart from the Wocommerce Plugin

### "Perfect platform for establishing new website"

May 17, 2017

5.0

Fast and convenient way to establish a website / blog. The current wordpress community is also big enough to attract viewers through blogging communities so your articles will have extra traffic from this channel. Paid template design also provide you a fast way to design without paying too much for a initial website design.

Pros

The platform is easy to use and can be established within 15 mins. It is totally free but it is recommended to sign up for a plan so you have more control over the design. There are plenty of themes to choose for you website. The backend interface is simple yet fully capable of editing website content. It is also SEO friendly so you don't have to be equipped with complex html knowledge to make your website being friendly to search engines. Media (photo / video) management is also neat and easy to manage.

Cons

Control over design template are still limited. If you want to create a website and don't purchase a plan, you website will look more like a blog than a website. Also, it does not allow you to put ads on the website which means you will not be able to benefit from the ads even if your traffic is high. Free website template has limited options so you will more likely have to pay extra for a paid template design in long term if you want your website / blog to look really professional.

### "Popular and Good"

January 3, 2021

5.0

Good, but I'm looking forward to improving the customization process.

Pros

It makes it easy to have a decent website without having to hire a web developer. As long as your host allows you to install plugins, Wordpress is an awesome software. I highly recommend to use it with the Elementor plugin because that's what will allow you to have complete control over a page design. The large number of themes to choose from is another big plus.

Cons

Themes make it easy to have a website, but they also limit you. You want a different font for the title or body text? You have to go to the theme's customization page and find the specific field where you can modify that. You want a different color for links? Again, go find the customization page, and if it doesn't give you all the options you want, then you just have to either give up or improvise with plugins.

### "Great CMS for websites"

May 22, 2019

5.0

Pros

With all of its features and add-ons, you have a tremendous amount of options available to you when creating your website. There are countless themes and plugins available, making it very adaptable to what you need to run your website. Adding blogs and content is very easy through the editor provided, or by using one of the many editor add-ons available. If you decide to change the 'look and feel' of your site, your content remains intact and you can switch to new themes to achieve your desired look.

Cons

Being so popular, it is a big target for hackers. Invest in some good security and backup software. Another challenge can be something 'breaking' on your site, due to an update from Wordpress or a plugin. Another good reason to keep backups.

### "Excellent value for the price! ;)"

November 8, 2018

5.0

Has been a great tool for my team and clients to help build websites for small and some medium size businesses. Great flexibility and power if you know what you're doing - but a more difficult learning curve than some "site builder" services.

Pros

WordPress is great for dedicated users that want to learn how to use it well. It offers a fantastic base CMS that is highly customizable through use of (either free or paid) themes and plug-ins. Like most open systems of this nature, you'll find that more elaborate or automated systems often come with a price tag, but depending on your website needs you may or may not need those - and in many cases the same results can be achieved using low or no cost alternatives but involve a bit more research, time and elbow grease. There are lots of great tutorials and support forums to help you if you have the time to do your homework.

Cons

Because it's so easy to get started, many users struggle when they want to incorporate more advanced features. Also, with such a high adoption rate it's become a "big target" for malicious users and hackers, so staying up to date and using reputable third party plugins is recommended - although it's not always clear which third parties are being kept up to date, and it's unfortunate when a plugin you use regularly stops being supported. In most of those cases though "you get what you pay for".

### "Wordpress helps you build a professional looking website, without a pro."

March 26, 2020

5.0

Wordpress has been great in providing my business with a website that reflects me and my business. It takes a little bit of playing around to figure out how everything works, but once you do, it's easy to use and easy to keep your website fresh and updated. I would recommend Wordpress, especially for businesses and individuals that want to keep things professional.

Pros

Wordpress has so many pre-built designs and features that it makes it easy to build a website that looks professional and polished. When I was first designing my website, the process seemed overwhelming. The website templates that wordpress offered made it easy for me to test out different designs and then customize that design to my taste.

Cons

The interface can seem a little busy and cluttered before you get used to where everything is. There are a lot of notifications and updates that fill up the home page. I work best when design is minimal and simple, but once you know how to work with your website and pages, it's easy to ignore.

Alternatives considered

[Wix](https://www.capterra.com/p/169007/Wix/)[Squarespace](https://www.capterra.com/p/143461/Squarespace/)

Reason for choosing WordPress

### "Useful CRM to easily create websites and blogs"

January 6, 2019

5.0

I am really satisfied with Wordpress. I started using it during my first job and it was so easy to use and versatile that when I decided to create my own personal blog I immediately chose Wordpress, no doubts.

Pros

Wordpress is easy to use. It has a huge pricing offer, from the free plan to the professional ones. You don't need any particular coding knowledge to create your own website. Indeed, there are many ready-made themes you can choose and customize. You can set up and manage the layout in a comfortable way thanks to the intuitive tools and to the many plugins available. If you know something about HTML and CSS you will have endless possibilities for customizing your Wordpress site! For any help, you can ask the massive WordPress community or seek on Internet and you will surely get useful and easily understandable solutions to figure out your problems. Wordpress new editor, named Gutenberg, is trying to improve the UX experience, making the creation of posts extremely easy thanks to its modular system. Wordpress offers the possibility to import and export almost any content. You can set multiple account with different roles and permissions.

Cons

Always remember to backup your contents at any Wordpress or plugin update. Sometimes, I got critical errors while updating them and my website was no longer accessible. Thanks to that, I started backing up at any variation in order to avoid data loss and to always have the possibility to restore the system to its previous state in case of critical issues.

### "A flexible and powerful blogging platform!"

January 31, 2019

5.0

Wordpress is a website building, hosting, and blogging platform that is easy to use and fun to learn.

Pros

I like that Wordpress can be used in many different scenarios and applications. I love that there is a constantly growing community of users and developers that I can reach out to any time. Since there is a large forum of active users, if I have any questions I can usually find the question already answered in previous posts. People that are new to blogging and web development can start sharing their thoughts, services, and products with the world in a matter of minutes. Training new team members and new clients how to use Wordpress is easy because there are so many educational resources available now.

Cons

I could always use more free themes with updated designs.

WordPress has helped me to create over 26 websites from my freelance clients and it way better to use if you are presently using Shopify or wix or Squarespace to make your website.

Pros

If we look at the pros for this, WordPress is truly an inseparable part of web developers. With WordPress, websites can be very easily made with just drag and drop. Premade themes are excellent. Documentation is greatly expanded upon for help. Tons of tutorials on the internet Free plugins make your life way easier.

Cons

Cons: For a veteran developer, WordPress is not as flexible. Understanding of HTML is very important. Some updates might break your website so make sure always to have a local backup in case things go south.

### "Wow!"

March 13, 2019

5.0

I have been playing around with web-builder software off and on for a couple of years. For the most part, the do-it-yourself software works great, but functionality and customization was very limited. For example, on some software, you could build a great storefront, but could not add a blog or reviews without purchasing extra software. Still others would create a great basic webpage to show items for sale but required additional purchases for payment gateways. When I began looking at the WordPress option, to be quite frank I was intimidated by it all. It seemed very complicated. But after watching a few videos, I was able to create some very substantial, professional looking websites. In fact, I have made a part time business out of it. I am now using WordPress and have access to thousands of free plugins for adding anything from payment gateways, custom contact forms, SEO optimization, Blogs, Review pages, chat rooms, etc. Pretty much anything you can think you might want on a website, there is a plugin for it. Don't know any computer languages? Don't sweat it. Gone are the days of spending hours on end behind the computer writing code only to have errors pop up because a comma or bracket was in the wrong place, or a call function was missing a parameter. Pretty much everything is done with drag and drop editors. If you can use a mouse, you are well over halfway there! Summary: Wow!

Pros

It is powerful. It is my understanding that a large portion of the web uses WordPress. Places like Ebay, ATT, and others. The biggest and best pro; it is free! There are literally thousands of plugins, a great many of them free, that add functionality to your website. The best part, for me anyhow, is that it is all plug and play / drag and drop.

Cons

Somewhat of a big learning curve. I have a great deal of experience in VB.Net programming, and a little HTML, and I am a pretty good all around computer guy. Still, I found the instructions and help to be lacking. However, there were a plethora of YouTube videos on how to make WordPress websites. Those were a great help.

The editing of ghe posts are easy and bloggers can publish their content on the go.
