Pros WordPress is very approachable for novice website designers. It's relatively easy to learn, but there is a lot of growth potential depending upon how complex a user wants a project to be. October 3, 2024 4.0 I have lost a few Wordpress websites and blogs due to hacking, but through it all I have learned to overcome the hacks. I made a consistent income from my elearning tools, book promotion and affiliate links. I couldn't have done it without such a versatile website that can be used with many resources. Pros I have used Wordpress for over ten years with a separate hosting plan. It's been very versatile because of the plugins I use that make my site whatever I need it to be. With knowledge of SEO and SEO templates by Envato I have been able to get free targeted traffic over the years. Wordpress is free to use with a host other than Wordpress. Cons Wordpress is easy to hack. As a user I need to protect my site daily because of many hacker attacks. Many solutions were very expensive so I learned how to overcome every hacking issue with free security software and a few actions to protect my login details. Using Wordpress requires security prevention daily, so automated security is needed to save your site and time. There is no customer service when using a different host than Wordpress. Switched from [Wix](https://www.capterra.com/p/169007/Wix/) I continued to use Wix for a specific website while using Wordpress for other sites as I learned how to use Wordpress. Now I only recommend Wix to clients who want a website that is easier to use than Wordpress. Pros The things I like at WordPress are the plugins and themes. I have added complex functions with some plugins transforming my website into a powerful online platform. The design is another important feature as you can easily build any design with different drag and drop builder or buy an already made theme. Fining a developer to improve the website is very easy as is widely used. On page SEO management for an WordPress based website is easy to made with different witch is a big thing that is worth mentioning. Cons I have to be careful with themes and plugins used as it can get slow if not setup correctly.
