### "Wow!"

March 13, 2019

5.0

I have been playing around with web-builder software off and on for a couple of years. For the most part, the do-it-yourself software works great, but functionality and customization was very limited. For example, on some software, you could build a great storefront, but could not add a blog or reviews without purchasing extra software. Still others would create a great basic webpage to show items for sale but required additional purchases for payment gateways. When I began looking at the WordPress option, to be quite frank I was intimidated by it all. It seemed very complicated. But after watching a few videos, I was able to create some very substantial, professional looking websites. In fact, I have made a part time business out of it. I am now using WordPress and have access to thousands of free plugins for adding anything from payment gateways, custom contact forms, SEO optimization, Blogs, Review pages, chat rooms, etc. Pretty much anything you can think you might want on a website, there is a plugin for it. Don't know any computer languages? Don't sweat it. Gone are the days of spending hours on end behind the computer writing code only to have errors pop up because a comma or bracket was in the wrong place, or a call function was missing a parameter. Pretty much everything is done with drag and drop editors. If you can use a mouse, you are well over halfway there! Summary: Wow!

Pros

It is powerful. It is my understanding that a large portion of the web uses WordPress. Places like Ebay, ATT, and others. The biggest and best pro; it is free! There are literally thousands of plugins, a great many of them free, that add functionality to your website. The best part, for me anyhow, is that it is all plug and play / drag and drop.

Cons

Somewhat of a big learning curve. I have a great deal of experience in VB.Net programming, and a little HTML, and I am a pretty good all around computer guy. Still, I found the instructions and help to be lacking. However, there were a plethora of YouTube videos on how to make WordPress websites. Those were a great help.

### "Devloped website in minutes"

July 18, 2018

5.0

We made many websites with it's help for our clients who wanted their business to be online with help of woocommerce. The payments are made easy with plugins for paypal payments. It has solved the biggest problem for small investors, which is getting online in least cost.

Pros

It has so many templates whose look and feel is so nice. It has so many plugins which keep my tasks easy. I have helped people with getting websites up and running so fast with help of wordpress. The editing of ghe posts are easy and bloggers can publish their content on the go. Now a days we can have insights on mobile too with the help of wordpress app. This is the cheapest source for robust development.

Cons

There is no dedicated support which works 24\*7 for helping the people, rather the forums and websites are there for help.

### "Love This Site"

June 22, 2020

4.0

I have an overall amazing impression of WordPress. The functionality, the price (free), the ease of use, and the general aesthetic is well-thought out and implemented. I am very thankful for this website, and it does help solve a lot of problems in terms of marketing or even just getting my thoughts out there on the internet.

Pros

WordPress is easily one of my favorite sites to use. As someone who enjoys blogging in my spare time, it is the perfect tool for this activity. First, one of the best things about WordPress is the beautiful and varied themes available at no cost. Whether you want a more minimal, sophisticated, or colorful feel, there is truly an option for everyone. Not only are there different themes, but there are also different layouts suited to the hundreds of different blogs/websites out there - food, lifestyle, decor, business, journal, etc. Publishing posts is simple. I enjoy the fact that I can add images to my posts, use different fonts and styles (italics, bolds, strikethroughs), and create a truly engaging post. I would highly recommend using WordPress for any blogger or website that is just starting out. There are premium or pro options available to remove ads.

Cons

The only thing I do not like is that the free version has ads. However, I will say that this is obviously the "price" you have to pay for a free blog or website. I cannot truly complain about this since there are hundreds of other features about WordPress that make it truly worth the inconvenience of the ads.

### "It's The Standard For A Reason"

February 9, 2021

5.0

Overall, it's the standard for a reason. We have no reason to go looking elsewhere as it does everything we need without breaking the bank.

Pros

WordPress is the full suite of tools needed to do anything and everything from a web development standpoint. In the hands of a capable web developer, it will do everything you need while still being simple enough that someone without extensive knowledge can do the simple tasks of updating content and such.

Cons

At times WordPress updates features without warning that can sometimes "break" the website unexpectedly. If this happens and your business relies on the website to bring in revenue, this can be incredibly frustrating.

### "Wordpress, Perfect DIY Website at No Cost"

July 26, 2018

5.0

The ability to create a website when I was first building my business, for free, and therefore have an online presence to grow and succeed.

Pros

Biggest 'pro': it's free! (Unless you purchase website templates from a 3rd party, but Wordpress itself is free). 2nd 'pro': control. As a small business owner, having total control over my website is important to me. With WordPress, I can make changes to my website without having to hire someone else. Templates are available for purchase, laying the foundation for a great website with minimal effort on my part. 3rd pro: there are thousands of plugins available, both free and paid, to further customize and enhance my website.

Cons

Biggest 'con': there is no 'customer support' to speak of. When I have questions, I have to find answers online through message boards, Google, etc. I'm usually able to find these answers but sometimes it can take digging. 2nd 'con': Wordpress isn't for beginners. You must learn how to navigate the platform and certain changes you may want to make to your website will require some knowledge of code. It is not a 'drag and drop' platform.

### " Design your dream web site with amazing features!"

February 11, 2019

4.0

I have designed sites using WordPress when I was at university. It was really easy for me to work with wordpress since it has a lot of in built features. I have a set of friends who are using this tool. As a team we have created web sites for both local and foreign clients.

Pros

WordPress is an open source website creation tool written in PHP. Also it is known as a powerful content management system. Bloggers can simply create an attractive blog in a short period. WordPress is online. so you can design your wonderful website easily, whenever you have a good internet connection. I like it the most because it is free. It has a large number of plugins. Using those you can customize your website. All you need to have is a good idea about how to use them and how to work with the application. Any one can use this since it is open source. There are thousands of themes available. You can use any theme and it allows you to change the design of your site as you want. Low cost.

Cons

The main thing is you should have some knowledge to create sites using WordPress. It has many things to learn for a beginner. It should be updated well. sometimes there may be security issues since it is open source. Many themes has a lot of code inside it. Some times this may decrease the speed of loading.

### "WordPress Popularity Is Well-Deserved"

February 6, 2021

5.0

Overall, I’ve had great results with Wordpress. From novice to advanced users, Wordpress is an excellent choice.

Pros

When I started my first website on Wordpress.com, I was a total novice. I didn’t know where to begin, much less how to build a successful site. Fortunately, Wordpress.com made it easy. Today, I have sites on Wordpress.com and Wordpress.org. Why both? Because my needs are different for each site. One of the great things about Wordpress is its versatility. No matter what your needs are, they have you covered.

Cons

Wordpress.com can get expensive if you want more than the basics. Unless you pay for a premium plan, you can’t accept payments. And you’re not able to add plugins without the pricier Business plan.

### "Great CMS for Marketers (Non Tech Savvy)"

December 18, 2018

5.0

Wordpress allows us to have a customized site that we, as marketers, can easily update without relying on an agency to do the heavy lifting.

Pros

I was a little intimidated the first time I was asked to update our company's website. My previous experience with a custom CMS left me frustrated and bewildered. The Wordpress CMS is so much easier to navigate and much more user friendly for non-tech savvy people like me. I'm able to add blog posts, promotional events, web banners, videos and more with ease. With a little help from our agency we've been able to customize the look and feel of our site using templates, widgets and additional plug-ins.

Cons

Wordpress frequently needs to be updated. Which can sometimes make those wonderful templates and plug-ins act a little buggy.

### "Never without Wordpress CMS (.com version)"

September 28, 2018

5.0

I use Wordpress both for professional and personal purposes. I installed it to create my own blog and it works really good. I can do almost everything I need, both in terms of functionalities and graphic design, without wasting time. I only had to create my own child theme and start creating my professional website, customizing it through plugins and personalized PHP functions. Wordpress flexibility is invaluable. Given its features and services, it is really convenient for anyone.

Pros

Extreme flexibility: it allows creating your own website in a fast and easy way. All the themes and plugins offered could resolve almost any problem or desire. You can also customize each theme and its functionality by knowing a little bit of HTML and CSS languages. It really suits any need. Easy-to-use: Wordpress is really intuitive and it could be used both by beginners and professionals. The UI/UX are well-designed and for any trouble, you will be able to find a lot of tutorials and documentations to figure out your problems. Convenience: you might choose between different version, starting from the freemium one. It has different pricing depending on the hosting and the features you choose.

Cons

There are no particular cons. Sometimes, if you add tricky plugins you may have some trouble while updating them. You always have to take care of backing up your contents before doing any change to your theme, css, php files or plugins.

### "Very easy to create Websites and Blogs"

November 24, 2020

5.0

It is a very nice journey with wordpress. It helps me to grow my business; moreover, i am running my own two blogs. If we talk about is admin panel, every thing is well designed. Creating New page and posting new content is just like posting something on facebook. I would recommend it to all the users who are planning to grow online.

Pros

It is really a time saving platform, and making websites in Wordpress is very easy. Without gaining deep knowledge of programming, i have created many websites in wordpress. To get any done like forms, SEO, and many other, there are many plugins, just install them and work will automatically done.

Cons

I have not found yet any downside in this platform, but there are some templates, that are quite difficult to customize. Thus, user need to learn some HTML for manual customization.

### "WordPress for Everyone"

January 14, 2020

4.0

WordPress is an amazing platform that sometimes gets a bad reputation. It's great for beginner developers and designers to create a web presence and just as great for experts who already know what they are doing. Even with all of the plugins that exist, it's easy for someone with the know-how to either create their own plugin or truly customize using other methods.

Pros

The fact that there is a plugin for virtually anything you can think of is one of the main reasons that I choose to use WordPress. WordPress websites are easy to create/maintain/update for both admins and end-users. Installing WordPress takes all of the get-up-and-running time out of the equation.

Cons

Websites running WordPress can have a tendency to slow down if there are too many plugins installed. Sometimes installing one plugin will break others. If a plugin needs to be updated, you are at the mercy of the developer.

### "Very easy to use but also very customizable"

January 9, 2019

4.0

WordPress allows developing a website very fast and quite easily. It is also easy for other people to edit layouts, pages and settings after a custom theme is added.

Pros

The WordPress admin area is very organized, options and settings are easy to find and most of the time where you would expect them to be. It is very easy to add a custom theme to set up a website in a very short time, but also very customizable through plugins. Its framework for writing your own theme is also very easy to use and creating a simple theme doesn't require much PHP programming.

Cons

WordPress is relatively taxing for a webserver, compared to a simple website that is completely created from scratch. Also, because of the many plugins and WordPress versions, things can break sometimes with updates.

### "A fine CMS / Webbuilder / Blog platform "

November 13, 2019

4.0

I/we have been working with multiple CMS platforms. But wordpress always sticks out a bit more with the easy of use. Also it's easy to teach to other's who wants to manage their own website. And if you are more technical you can also easly build your own themes/templates and plugins. With the big selection of themes free or paid you can setup a website within a hour. Adding your own flair and colors. Some text and you are running.

Pros

\- It's free, and most good plugins are also free. - Many ready to use templates, if you want better ones you could also buy them for a nice price - Easy to integrate external applications - Alot of knowlegde online, you know how to setup wordpress in 1 day. You can master it in some more time ;p

Cons

\- To many plugins, yes this can also be a con. Finding the right one can sometimes take multiple plugin tries. - Backend interface can become messy. - Hack sensitive if not updated often, hackers like to hit wordpress because it's used alot.

### "Is Wordpress still worth it this 2020?"

May 31, 2020

5.0

Despite the cons, I still consider Wordpress to be worth it this 2020, there are a lot of workarounds you can do to avoid the not so good side about Wordpress. Over-all I am still satisfied and will continuously use WordPress for now.

Pros

There are tons of things I love about using WordPress. Wordpress is indeed easy to use given that you have learned the hang of it, it might take time but it is totally worth it. I love how you can integrate Wordpresss with a lot of plugin choices, that are always up to date . Designing Wordpress is pretty easy too, as templates are readily available. SEO Plugins are also available which is very good to rank up your blogs.

Cons

Despite its being user friendly, learning Wordpress can be time-consuming, but again it is worth it. Another thing that I am skeptical about is security breaches due to installing plugins, though I find it really great to have tons of options for plugins, I felt that information and the blogsite itself could easily be penetrated by viruses or can be easily hacked due to these third-party plugins. And these plugins sometimes crashes the website and may take time to load.

### "I wanted to build a website and tried Word Press. "

May 11, 2018

4.0

Since I was passionate about building my own website, I was very interested in learning more about how Word Press worked and within a couple of hours (maybe 10) I felt like I understood enough about the platform to feel comfortable. The billing process was easy and the integration process wasn't very complicated. Compared to other website builder, I found WordPress to be the easiest and simple to navigate. But you will need to invest some time into the process if you really want to have a great looking website. Invest the time with WordPress, you won't be disappointed.

Pros

I like how simple the process is. They make it easy to navigate and simple to us. You pick the kind of website you are looking for based on what you are wanting to accomplish and Word Press make the suggestions. It isn't hard to figure what additional things you might want to customize and how long it might take to get what you want customized and finished. The ADMIN page is simple and easy to navigate and the billing process is also easy to read and understand.

Cons

It does take a while to get familiar with how Word Press is laid out and what you need to do to add more functionality. I would say the learning curve for someone who the average technical understanding is under 8 to 10 hours. One I got used to how to navigate the platform it was much easier to move through the things I wanted to include. It took me a while to figure out how to add my domain name and it was more of a detailed process with GoDaddy then it was with WordPress.

### "Word press review"

September 22, 2021

5.0

Generally, the software is user friendly with a very good interface and it is easy to use and understand.

Pros

It is a software used to publish ideas, news stories etc. to a wide range of audience. I like it because it allows multi media user experience i.e. it allow users to to add images, music files, videos etc. The accounts can be given passwords which guarantees privacy of information.

Cons

As the software is internet based, it cannot work without the use of internet connectivity. This also makes it prone to hackers' activities if passwords are not properly managed.

### "Does the trick, but won't win any awards"

April 10, 2019

4.0

My business has multiple products that are content based. hence marketing pages can't be accommodated within the sites. Wordpress serves it's purposed in that it allows us to connect our products to marketing pages. So it does the trick, but it wasn't designed intuitively so it's far from a user-friendly solution.

Pros

I like that it can suit a variety of needs for the business and that even novice users can create a landing page.

Cons

There are a few cons per use case . When using the platform to support a marketing site apart from the product platform, the layout makes the experience frustrating and time-consuming. Functionality like setting up alerts for notification of newly added content is generic rendering the alerts useless. sorting is generic (parameters can't be combined) so it's also useless.

### "Wordpress the simplest way to built your own website"

October 16, 2018

4.0

I used wordpress for building websites in a quicker way and how it has a control panel my customers can after edit whaterver they want, I think that wordpress is one of the greatest solutions for building websites.

Pros

Wordpress is the solution for programmers and not programmers, the easy way to set up it's a great pro because you don't need to be an expert to use it, there's a lot of tutorial explaining how to do it and if you really don't know about programming you can create it directly in their website just clicking a few times. I really like the way that you can customize almost everything using it's menu so mostly you don't need to code. Other pro about wordpress is the big amount of plugins that you can find to do almost everything you want, so wordpress it's a solution for a lot of different websites requirements, but if you can't find something you can build it by your own because it's really well documented and easy to edit.

Cons

One of the biggest thing to improve in wordpress it's the migration process, sometime when you want to move your site to another hosting it comes a lot of problems, i know there's a lot of pluggins for doing that but i'd like a own tool for doing this. Other thing to improve in wordpress would a control version because when your have a error editing something of the code it's really hard to get your site working again, wodpress could implement something like gitlab, github so there could be easier solving this kind of problems

Wordpress is the go-to CMS solution to build any website, from a portfolio or blog to a large e-shop. Requires no technological skills to set up and moderate from the web. The vast community of developers/designers provides tremendous support and variety of plugins/themes to accomplish anything.
