### "Perfect Open source CMS tool"

May 16, 2019

5.0

I just love to use Wordpress to create websites. Love to do customizations in it and 3rd party integrations. Bottom line is: A developer is nothing without WordPress. Thanks

Pros

Wordpress is really helpful to create any website. That's so amazing and easy to use. Quick installation, perfect themes, lots of plugins, easy customization and any third party API integration makes it different from other CMS tools. Anyone can install and install themes into it and run their own websites. I just love to use it.

Cons

Wordpress is really great CMS tool but sometimes plugins stop working after the version upgrade and sometimes DB gives issues. So that really annoyed. But overall, it made my life better.

### "CMS not just for bloggers!"

August 28, 2018

4.0

It is fast and easy to use. One of the best CMS out there. Beginners and advance users will definitely love its simplicity and almost perfect user interface.

Pros

Wordpress is definitely one of the most popular CMS today. It has lots of features and it is very beginner friendly. Here are a few reasons why I liked using Wordpress: 1. It is user-friendly. Just a few clicks and you can set up your basic website in no time. 2. Lots of free plug-ins. Free and useful plug-ins will definitely help you customize your site even more. 3. Lots of free themes. Don't have a budget for premium themes? Don't worry, there are a lot of free themes that you can use. They are responsive and clean. 4. Security. Wordpress is pretty much secure. You just have to update it regularly. 5. The forums or community is pretty helpful specially to newbies.

Cons

1\. Some free plug-ins and themes are not as secure as a custom or premium theme. 2. You need to keep an eye on every Wordpress updates or else, there is a small chance that your site will get hack.

### "WordPress: Create your own website for free"

March 29, 2019

5.0

WordPress makes life easier for everyone especially small business owners that needs online presence for their company which gives them the privilege to connect with more audience.

Pros

The software is easy to use, it takes between 2 to 5 minutes using the Automatic installation option on most of the Web hosting provider. A newbie who knows how to use Microsoft Word can use the software to build and create a fully functional website

Cons

Customization: If you don't have any experience with writing HTML and CSS codes you might not be able to customize the site/theme to your most preferred taste, but there are lots of plugins with which one can use to customize tweak the site theme to one's taste.

### "Been using WP for a decade and love it"

March 11, 2021

5.0

My experience has been really positive. I have built at least a dozen sites with WP over the years and they all look really professional with little effort and are so easy to edit with no hassle.

Pros

Wordpress is so easy to use and offers a seemingly inexhaustible supply of templates and options. You can make it as simple of difficult as you want by customizing very little (except text) to going full in and using editor to change whatever you don't want about a template. You get notifications for updates so I can check you site for issues. Plugins work easily with the templates and allow for great, user friendly sites.

Cons

I wish it was easier to integrate or partner WP with browsers like Google to ensure great SEO without all the effort. I know there are plugins, however, that is the one thing that isn't automatically easy to use with WP.

### "Best CMS available and highly extensible"

November 6, 2019

5.0

We've successfully created multiple websites that administrators/editors with limited technical knowledge can easily edit and update.

Pros

It's pretty much the best CMS available. It's open-source and free to download. We've built a complex online learning environment and multiple websites using WordPress. The ability to write your own themes and plugins means that the sky is the limit and you can really customise the system to your heart's content.

Cons

There's a bit of a learning curve to learn and understand the system architecture and how to write your own themes and plugins. But that's not something can can be avoided and would be the same for any other CMS or blogging platform.

### "Wordpress is the future. "

February 25, 2021

I've been using Wordpress for the past 10 years, and my experiencie keeps getting better. Each update makes it faster, easier and feature rich.

Pros

It's heaven for web designers and non designers. There's literally no limit on what you can do with it. I loved working with Wordpress mainly for all the plug-ins that are available.

Cons

The learning curve it's hard. You can find plenty of information and videos to learn and improve your Wordpress skill, but it's not as easy as it's competitors.

### "One of the best out there, also for newcomers"

December 6, 2019

5.0

Very good experience. Getting a site from concept to completion takes less time. Cookie cutter sites are easier to get out from free or paid online themes as long as heavy customisation is not required.

Pros

Hands down one of the best when it comes to getting a website live. Very easy to set up as long as you have the right credentials to the database. It is FREE and has so many plugins (extensions) that you can practically do anything from the backend given the right combination of tools and plugins. These range from SEO, layout managements, creating custom layouts, functionality, 3rd party integrations etc. The only place where you may need to break a sweat is when doing frontend theming, though nowadays, there are many commercial themes that allow you a great deal of frontend customization from the admin panel, so you dont have to get your hands dirty and deal with code. Also has a great online community for developers, themers and also people that are not very good at developing websites.

Cons

The sheer amount of plugins available makes it difficult sometimes to get what you need. You have to go through reviews of modules, online chats and review functionality of certain things to choose the best one. This is a good problem to have, though it does sometimes either takes longer to get the right plugin, or a few trials or if you get lucky, you have used a good one from experience before. Asking questions in the community also helps. Lots of helpful responses.

### "merits and demerits of word press "

June 26, 2020

4.0

I want to share the news on day by day basis.we are using the web site for hosting press releases, videos, events, surveys, and more. Word Press is the right choice for using a world-class product as free. it helps me to do work properly and fast because of the unique features.

Pros

I am using word press since 2017 for publishing my press releases. Page making and post creation are very easy. The main thing is, it is an opensource software with rich features.we can share our WordPress page /post in any social media.it will mark each and every action. The most loving part is we can customize the appearance.plug-in adding is also simple.

Cons

lack of editing tools for photo editing. The slider revolution part is also a little bit difficult. if we are trying to change the slider image, that takes more time to load pictures or some times it will not respond properly. Sidebar position arrangement is also very difficult. Video upload is also a little difficult because of its features. but we can add youtube videos link nicely.

Pros

### "Valuable tool with tricky features"

February 19, 2019

4.0

I like using Wordpress and will continue to use it, the only thing I can recommend is a customer service hotline.

Pros

To start, I am very fluent in all things computers. When it comes to a program, new or old, I can usually pick it up and use it within 10 minutes or so. This was the case for many of the features within Wordpress, which I used to edit my website upon customer demand. So for the most part, this platform was very easy to use.

Cons

I had trouble uploading photos and having them go where I needed them to. The photo software, at least in my case and opinion, could use some updating. Maybe allowing users to place items on the page directly would create less confusion.

### "A tool that keeps growing and evolving"

February 5, 2021

5.0

Its my go to for 90% of all my web design work. I use a host of different themes and I am getting very used to working with some of the main plugns and extensions such WpBakery, Slider Revolution, etc which make it so much easier and dynamic. Great overall experience.

Pros

The simplicity of use makes it a no brainer. I have worked in web design for 20 years and its a solid safe and reliable tool. Recognised by millions and plugins and themes to keep you busy for life.

Cons

It has quite a narrow base from an architecture point of view. It was built as a blogging tool a long time ago and therefore its footprint or foundations or quite narrow. Nevertheless, it still holds up well to most applications. Due to its limited amount of features you have features added by theme designers which extend its functionality although then you need to learn new functions everytime.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Lighter and easier to use

### "Learning curve but great for those who don't code"

June 26, 2020

4.0

Overall, I've been really happy to learn to use WordPress. It does enough for our purposes (which, note, does not include e-commerce) and it does it rather intuitively. That being said, depending on your needs, there may be a little bit of learning to do. Either way, you do not need to know how to code and that alone is AMAZING.

Pros

When I started with my job, my boss asked me if I was comfortable with web design. Being game for anything, I said let me check it out. I was so lucky it was a Wordpress site! For the last year, I've redesigned and managed our site, with a bit of learning on my part. I started with their current editor (Gutenberg Block editor), which is rather intuitive. Building pages from the ground up was quick. The hardest part was developing the copy!

Cons

Full disclosure: I had inherited a site that used coding and a variety of plugins. My number one issue was untangling what I needed and didn't need anymore as I implemented the new site design. That was where most of my learning was devoted. The other problem that I've run into is that blocks are limited. I can imagine our site doing x, y, and z, but blocks stop at w. While you can make an EXCELLENT site with just the block editor, creating a very specific vision has taken some learning for me.

Reason for choosing WordPress

I was not personally involved in the decision, but I know WordPress was chosen specifically because it does not require a professional designer's knowledge.

### "Affordable, easily customizable, easy to use"

September 11, 2018

5.0

Pros

It's the standard content management system for a reason. It's easy, intuitive, and there's almost no limit to what you can do with the software. If you're a complete novice, you can still put together a decent-looking page that will be functional and serviceable. If you have greater knowledge of skills like CSS or graphic design, you can make very professional-looking pages. It also integrates extremely well with other programs from shopping carts to corporate blogs. Lots of available plug-ins can make the site meet almost any need you have.

Cons

Not many. It seems to be vulnerable to hackers, which may be because its such a widely used program.

### "BEST CMS by far."

August 31, 2020

5.0

Pros

WP is a blank canvas, that allows for the implementation of robust websites and applications. Our clients love it and the fact they can have their own log-ins and we love it because we can set certain rights for different users. The tremendous amounts of plug-ins available make things easier when looking for different solutions for clients.

Cons

Can be a bit sluggish at times, but this is more on your server resources.

### "Perfect for Small Business or a Startup"

December 6, 2019

4.0

Overall I would say that after a few years I am happy with WordPress, in fact I think its the best web platform out there.

Pros

I really like that WordPress is quite easy to install with most of the providers. and the fact that it is free and comes with free themes, it is a perfect platform for web development. There is also a big community of developers that make plug-ins for WordPress. You can find pretty much anything you need. And another great thing is that it doe not require day-to-day support.

Cons

constant updates. and plugin updates. you have to keep up with it. To beginner users, I would highly recommend investing in some protection software, with real-time protection.

### "Simplifies Blogging"

September 13, 2018

5.0

I started my blogging career with Wordpress and it has remained one of my favorite platforms. With the variety of themes available and the global reach of Wordpress, it has opened new avenues for me, because of my comfort with working on it.

Pros

I've used Wordpress for 4 years now. Here are my key takeaways: 1. Easy to setup 2. Good library of themes and widgets etc 3. Provides a platform to a lot of newbies and learners starting blogging 4. Allows customisation of code to tweak the website however you want it(provided, if the code works)

Cons

1\. Due to the similar nature of WP, can be susceptible to malware and other login woes 2. Paid Model is essentially double the price of what a person needs to pay

### "The best overall choice for your website"

December 30, 2018

5.0

Ultimately, it's the best place to start despite the learning curve, because no matter how much you grow, Wordpress can still grow with you. Unlike most other website builders, you'll never get to a place in Wordpress where you need to start over because of a lack of functionality.

Pros

First let's clear up any confusion: I'm referring to wp.ORG rather than .COM. It can be quite confusing! Wordpress(.org) is simple enough that you can build your first website with it and robust enough to still be used by million dollar companies.

Cons

They don't call it "wordpress hell" for nothing. It can be quite difficult to use, especially if you're not otherwise tech-savvy. It will require patience and a learning curve.

### "A Blessing To The Internet"

April 4, 2019

5.0

Pros

WordPress powers over 20% of the websites on the internet. That alone should say it all. The fact that this CMS helps complete newbies build a good looking website in no time gets me all the time. WordPress is the best solution if you don't have a lot of money to hire developers for something custom. It's FREE, easy to use, SEO friendly and can be used to make virtually any site. It's just about finding the right theme. Highly recommended.

Cons

The fact that there are two WordPress types. The hosted and self hosted. Can be confusing for learners but after that? Nothing really. Although there may be some issues that can be resolved along the way.

### "Excellent tool for creating responsive websites and blogs"

July 12, 2018

5.0

Pros

What I like most about WordPress is the amount of helpful information online about the various modules. If you get stuck when doing something, chances are there is a solution online to help you tackle the issue. Another good thing about WordPress is the large number of extensions available that help in improving the functionality of your website. In addition, WordPress has a lot of templates both free and premium.

Cons

The biggest disadvantage about WordPress is security. WordPress websites are easily hacked as compared to their counterpart Joomla. Another disadvantage is the fact that theme updates can lead to loss of the design of the website.

### "I have been using WordPress for over a decade now. It's my go-to solution for basically any website."

March 8, 2018

5.0

I have built and deployed literally thousands of web sites using WordPress over the past 10 years. I've never run into a web site problem I couldn't solve using it.

Pros

It's open source, development is extremely active, and the community of developers producing plugins, themes and offering services around it is enormous. It's deservedly the most widely-used content management platform on the planet.

Cons

Because it is so popular and so many people use it, there's a lot of bad information, outdated information, bad plugins, bad themes etc out there. Users and developers need to educate themselves about the platform's best practices to know the difference between good solutions and bad.

### "Still the Best for Blogging"

February 15, 2021

5.0

I use WordPress software to host my blog. There isn't much of a learning curve with it, because a lot of the features and functions are pretty obvious to figure out. If I were to create another blog I'd definitely use WordPress for that one.

Pros

I've tried a number of WordPress alternatives but always come back to WordPress. This is simply because it offers way more than other blogging platforms. There are thousands of Plugins to choose from, many of which are free, and the dashboard on this software shows you all kinds of useful data. It's easy to use and also to collaborate with others.

Cons

Some of the plugins don't work with others and it can be hard to figure them out. You have to pause them all then add them back one by one.

Reason for choosing WordPress

I just preferred the way it works and ease of use. I also love the huge range of available themes and plugins.

### "Overall, WordPress is a fantastic, flexible, and user-friendly content management system. "

May 20, 2018

4.0

WordPress is the most important marketing tool in my arsenal.

Pros

\- WordPress is open source, so it is always evolving (both within the themes and the plugins). - WordPress is very flexible, almost any functionality and design can be easily developed - Non-technical admins can manage a plethora of options - from marketing to copy to new page creation.

Cons

\- Learning curve for non-technical admins is higher than other, similar content management systems. - Because WordPress is open source, there is a lot of poor quality products built using the technology. It's important to understand how things are developed prior to purchasing themes, plugins, etc.

### "More complicated than it needs to be."

April 17, 2019

3.0

Kind of stuck with it - now that the Gutenberg take-over is done and we're forced to live in Gutenberg occupation, it's okay. Just don't think it's all as easy and easy to use as it's presented.

Pros

We moved out website to a managed WordPress account with GoDaddy a couple of years ago - and this was fantastic. Much simpler to get things done. Support is welcome and necessary through GoDaddy unless you're really into this - we aren't using an e-commerce site or anything. It's pretty quick to get started, not difficult to understand. Lots of theme options.

Cons

The inexplicable change to Gutenberg - hyped as a simple way to build/maintain your website. We have a static site and it was a nightmare to make changes. Gutenberg is always being presented as "simple" and "intuitive" - but I'm a proficient user in in WordPress and my experience was awful. Suddenly you had to get acquainted with a whole new way of doing things - that's not easier, it's an overhaul I didn't ask for. Layout is not precise - it's much more difficult to get a page to appear exactly as you envision it.
