### "The only website framework I use"

January 12, 2018

5.0

Allowed me to add so many different functions to website without having to custom code by using third-party plugins, saving me loads of time.

Pros

Wordpress makes building a website quick and easy with the ability to add functionality with a marketplace full of plugins built by other designers (because Wordpress is open source). It has become the staple framework for all sites I build.

Cons

Wordpress is not as intuitive as many new clients would expect, so when I walk them through the site, they need some guidance on the backend to really understand what they're doing. The platform could me more intuitive in terms of what you do on the backend and how it looks on the front end.

### "The easiest Web Content Management or Publishing tool"

May 5, 2020

5.0

I am greatly satisfied. Working with WordPress. It allows me to easily set up a site for a client and also provide the client with specific features it needs.

Pros

Wordpress is a tool that is easy to learn, easy to set up, configure and start using. In a few minutes, you have a digital publishing platform ready to start delivering content. With a little more dedication you may have a full-fledge portal to distribute content that can be configured and scheduled easily. It has a wide range of plugins to extend the site functionality and its GPL license allows developers to write new plugins without worrying with legal issues from the part of Wordpress.

Cons

Although there are several books that address the issues, the API documentation for how to develop new plugins or new themes needs improvement.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Blogger was way less flexible than Wordpress for client needs. And it only provided blogging, not a prospective full content management system as WordPress indicated at the time, and Wordpress do today.

### "Amazing for free but with some templates convoluted use of custom fields you can get in the weeds"

January 7, 2020

4.0

WordPress and MoveableType were the first to the game in CMS (content management systems) that made setting up a website for a client and handing them the reins to keep the site fresh with posts possible. Wordpress won the war but now sites that offer high-end templates (Squarespace) that consider mobile first are starting to seem tempting as an all-inclusive package that just keeps things working.

Pros

The ability to purchase a professional template that runs on the free WordPress platform that you can setup on a inexpensive webserver was an amazing benefit 7 or 8 years ago. My requirements now are easy of use and as little maintenance as possible. WordPress in general will just work until you have to tweak a feature due to an upgrade to the software due to security concerns.

Cons

The software runs smoothly enough that when there are problems it has been long enough that I don't remember the ins and outs of the admin screens and how the custom fields are used for the template being used. The admin screens can be overwhelming if you don't admin a lot of WordPress sites.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Clients preference

### "The best way to create websites"

December 17, 2019

5.0

I do not make websites often, but when I do Wordpress is always my starting base. I am able to make professional looking sites that are adaptive and smooth running even with a limited skill set. Wordpress makes webdesign accessible and borderline easy, which is a very difficult task given how complex webdesign really is.

Pros

I can't say enough good things about wordpress, as someone with limited web coding knowledge and experience, I am able to pick out a theme from a seemingly endless number of very well designed options, and very easily go in and tweak and adjust as needed to get the perfect results I am looking for. There are also countless add-ons that allows you to add any kind of site functionality you can imagine. Need google analytics, add-on, need a fully functioning e-store, add-on, need a large scale dynamic slider bar for your homepage, add-on! It really doesn't get much easier ... and if you find the right themes that are really user friendly, there isn't much you can't achieve with Wordpress.

Cons

Some themes are harder than other depending on your coding knowledge ... some really need you to deep dive in and tweak the inner workings to make them function properly. If I were more knowledgeable in coding I would probably love that, but with my limited skill set it is more overwhelming than anything. Sometimes you can run into conflicts with different add-ons that can break certain functionality, it would be nice if Wordpress had some way to detect these issues.

### "Wordpress review"

August 25, 2018

4.0

Wordpress allows me to quickly get a site and my content up and running within a few minutes. This increases my sales and helps me stay engaged with my customers while prospects also can learn quickly about our services. Saves me so much time when closing deals as I only need to talk with 'ready to but' clients.

Pros

I have been using wordpress for about 3 years and I love the easy end user interface. When I first started I was intimidated but after navigating the menus and features it was clear to me the number of features were necessary in order to get the site working and looking properly. I also appreciate the plentitude of add on apps including the segmentation of "most popular", "featured" etc. Nice job wordpress.

Cons

I do not like some of the security breaches. It seems to me there should be a checklist reminder of what a newbie should do on a daily, weekly and monthly in order to keep the site secure, clean and loading fast. The assumption seems to be we know these things but I assure you most new site owners do not. Also a chat feature for quick questions and assistance would be nice.thx

### "Lots of development options"

October 20, 2022

### "Affordable and User Friendly"

December 14, 2018

5.0

Pros

It's a good starter for new bloggers/new website builders. I picked WordPress when I first started my website because it was a well known name and affordable. I have used it ever since because I really don't need anymore than what they offer. They have a bunch of options, but if you need more you can pay a reasonable add on fee for a bigger selection. It is very user friendly and gives a decent amount of directions and information if you need help.

Cons

Some of the options are very basic and "generic" looking. I did have a few issues before and the customer service took a long time getting back to me and it still wasn't the answer I needed.

### "Would Not Be Able to Make Money Without It "

September 6, 2018

5.0

WordPress is at the heart of my business, it's a platform I spend large parts of every day working in. If it did not exist a great deal of my work would be far more difficult for me to execute and far more expensive for my clients. WordPress offers a way for even the smallest business to get a great website for pratically free that never (profvided the person eho creates it knows what they are doing) looks free,

Pros

Of all the accessible CMS options WordPress is king. In the last ten years, I have created 100+ WordPress sites and have worked in/on many more. Aside from the fact that for me it is the easiest platform to work with it is also the easiest to teach a client to manage alone.

Cons

It can be buggy, but that's open source for you.

### "Great for the money"

December 1, 2020

5.0

I've been using it for years and have developed blogs and websites on this platform.

Pros

WordPress is very easy to use. There are a variety of plugins available for this platform. There are a lot of expertise available for support.

Cons

Many of the plugins offer updates too frequently. Some of these updates have broken sites. Update should be limited perhaps quarterly unless there are security issues.

Reason for choosing WordPress

Ease of use and available plugins.

### "Single Platform for all Business Portals"

August 28, 2018

5.0

I have used Joomla CMS for new portal, Pligg, Drupal but eventually WordPress was the one which had great community support and hence remained my first choice.

Pros

Support and Huge user-base is the most awesome thing about WordPress. Started using it as blogging platform some 11 years ago but now I use it extensively as a platform for web magazine, Shopping cart (thanks for WooCommerce) and Product website. I am no developer but still able to deploy and use it without any hassle. Even slight modifications can be implemented with ease thanks to responsive community support.

Cons

I cannot even think of any. WordPress has come a long way becoming the most powerful CMS I've ever known.

### "good website product"

August 8, 2019

5.0

Overall I really like it - it is just inconsistency with customer service that wastes time

Pros

I like the ease of use and customer service is available in a variety of ways. It is easy for a non-developer and looks professional. Easy to add purchase or donate button. Over all I really like it

Cons

Some of the web pages are hard to change. One customer service agent told me to do it one way and actually changed some things themselves - but it was wrong and very difficult to change. The next customer service agent said it was set up wrong to begin with so those pages had to almost be deleted altogether. Also, there are many answers to the same question I found out - differing customer service agents will send instructions and links to differing ways of doing the same thing. Also, some customer service agents do not read the question in chat - it takes repeating the same question or giving the same answer several times as they do not take time to read

### "WordPress hands down"

January 30, 2023

5.0

Pros

A platform that offers multiple options to enhance a website, used by likely the half of websites in the world, easy to integrate with many, many plugins and API's and themes and many people offering new features to connect with everyday. No brainer.

Cons

Maybe the loading speed. There are several plugins that helps with this but there's still room for improvement.

Reason for choosing WordPress

More user-friendly interface and thousands of add-ons availability

### "The professional solution for website builders/managers"

November 28, 2020

5.0

Word Press is by far the most widely used and professional solution for anyone who wants to build or manage a website. We have found it easy to use, easy to update and with a little help from a developer, easy to setup.

Pros

The plugins and integrations with so many other apps and services is what sets Word Press apart and makes it a truly professional solution for anyone wanting to have a modern website or web app.

Cons

Word Press requires the use of a developer or some coding knowledge to setup your site. This is the only thing that makes it difficult for non-developers to begin using.

### "WP is the most reliable platform for creating your websites. Also, it has a wide community of users"

June 23, 2020

3.0

WordPress benefits my work from different factors. For starters, it is completely free, so developing web pages with this platform does not generate any cost. Also, this software has a wide community of users, which develops completely free plugins that I use for my website, which saves me hours of programming.

Pros

WordPress is my favorite tool for different reasons, which is why I list them below: 1. It is an open source software, so you can customize it to your liking. 2. WordPress is updated frequently, so it is always at the forefront of the market. 3. It has a huge user community, which develops completely free plugins and themes all the time. 4. It has a very interactive user interface. 5. It integrates perfectly with the SEO tools provided by Google.

Cons

I would like to say that everything is perfect with WordPress but it is not, there is something I do not like and that is that there are some versions of the software that cannot be updated, so the website must be created again in the latest version and import all content, which is time consuming.

### "One of the most robust, flexible & secure CMS systems out there"

December 11, 2019

5.0

I've worked with a number of CMS systems and found WordPress to best meet my needs no matter how small or large the website is.

Pros

Its user interface is incredibly intuitive and it's lightweight enough for small websites but powerful and flexible enough for very large, complex websites as well.

Cons

Plugin conflicts are probably one of the more frustrating aspects of using WordPress, even though we can't really fault WordPress for that, as most plugins are developed by third parties.

### "Great CMS accessible for any user and with depth for advanced developer."

April 2, 2020

5.0

I work with WP since it was a blog tool only and I'm very happy with the turns it took over the years. I can barely remember the tool it was, there are some many features and capabilities with all the plugins out there that the limits are still to be seen.

Pros

Cross Browser easy accessible. How it grew from a simply Blog tool to a complete website development tool.

Cons

Mostly the latest updated blocks feature. Wordpress has come a long way and is loved by million of people. It's hard not to like it.

### "Good for individuals and businesses that would like to cut costs by designing their own site"

August 11, 2018

4.0

There is a lot of flexibility with Wordpress. I would especially recommend it to businesses, especially sole-proprietorships, as long as you don't mind either spending some money (admittedly much less than you'd spend for someone to design a non-WP site) or if you plan to DIY, you don't mind a bit of a learning curve and using free templates if you want to save money. WordPress is pretty user-friendly for people that aren't very familiar with web design/dev (as long as you're at least semi tech savvy) and the learning curve is not as steep as learning a bunch of programming languages to DIY a site from complete scratch.

Pros

WordPress is accessible for people of nearly all skill levels when it comes to web development. You can get a free or paid template and insert premade widgets and plugins if you're not familiar with or have zero experience with front and back-end dev. On the other hand, if you're an experienced dev, designer, etc. you have the freedom to create your own widgets, plugins, CSS, and graphics.

Cons

If you have no web development experience/knowledge, it is more difficult to customize your WordPress site. You can always purchase a template, plugins, etc. but it can get pretty pricey especially on the back end. If you're in real estate and looking to incorporate a MLS, it can get EXTREMELY expensive.

### "The most popular choice to create a website"

January 13, 2020

5.0

WordPress is the most popular website builder and is the foundation for a large portion of the websites in the world. It offers all necessary tools that you need to create your website the way you want, and is 100% free to use. There are some minor caveats such as having to updates and backups manually, but these are not that difficult to perform, and there are tools that allow you to backup data easily.

Pros

WordPress can be used fairly easily to setup your website. One of the main positives is that Wordpress.org is that it is 100% free to use and open source. The entire control of your website will be yours, and you will own the website and all its data. In addition, you have the freedom to create your website the way you want to, and have access to all paid/free plugins, themes and apps. Another benefit is that you can run your own adds on your website and earn money without paying a percentage to ad provide like Google Ads. Other benefits include the ability to create online stores and membership sites to earn revenue.

Cons

You need to obtain your domain name and web hosting since wordpress.org is self hosted. There are two services offered by WordPress, wordpress.com (paid hosting service) and wordpress.org (free website platform). It is important to do some research on these to select the one that is best suitable for you. Many beginners will be confused or do not know that these two offer different services due to having the same name. You will have to manually do updates and backups on your website, although doing that will not require too much effort.

### "No 1 Tool for Non-programmers to develop responsive website"

August 22, 2018

4.0

I own a website design company (DSP Tech Solutions) and I have been using WordPress for more than 3 years and it makes me deliver quality service to my clients with swift delivery.

Pros

WordPress allows anyone to build responsive website with aesthetic design even though you cannot write a single line of code. The most interesting thing about WordPress is the Flexibility it offers with the available Themes, Widget, WooCommerce extension and Plugins to extend the Features and functionalities of the website. One can build virtually any type of website with ease from a Blog to even an eCommerce website.

Cons

The only Con (not a much big problem) about WordPress is the cost of management.

### "I love and swear by WordPress!"

January 15, 2020

5.0

I've been able to better connect and engage with my audience and readers through using Wordpress! It has given another outlet for the businesses I run as well as for my own.

Pros

I love that WordPress provides a platform that can be either free or paid for, for customers to express themselves through writing and photography. WordPress is the ultimate platform to help grow a business and to connect with an audience on a better, more relatable level. You are able to choose from excellent themes and colors to personalize your site. You are able to upload pictures to each post and also have a header to use that shows up as the highlighted image.

Cons

I really like just about everything with WordPress! The only negative I've come across is that with the free site you are not able to monetize your site. Monetization is available with the paid platform, just not the free site.

### "Wordpress is excellent, very easy to use. "

May 23, 2018

5.0

There is a lot of customer support and community support that I can when I have problems.

Pros

WordPress is the easiest CMS to install and use. I love that there are endless integrations and complements, which allows you to achieve almost anything, you can easily download add-ons to use, like yoast for SEO purposes, provides the necessary tools to update, change, format and manage a web presence without having extensive coding knowledge. It is a time saver and you can find a variety of themes and add-ons.

Cons

Sometimes it is necessary to adjust the source files with custom code, which is not always the easiest to find and identify which files are responsible.

### "Great for big or small sites"

August 6, 2018

5.0

I recommend WordPress to everyone I know.

Pros

Plenty of plug-ins that not only make your website unique, but also a choice of high-quality additions. If I see certain plug-ins have been used (and reviewed) a large number of times, I see that as a reasonable endorsement. Intuitive and easy to use, there is no shortage of sources online for troubleshooting. If you are signed up with a good premium platform, most come with on-the-spot access to tech support from the WP community. You wouldn't think it would be so efficient, but it has been.

Cons

No complaints. Just be aware of what your plug-ins can actually do and be sure they come with adequate support.

Using wordpress has kept me incharge of our online affairs and has made management easy.

Pros

Wordpress is a great platform for businesses who wish to take their businesses online at very low cost while maintaining control of their activities.

Cons

While wordpress is a very great platform, hacking is always very rampant. I understand that there are paid plugins that help in this area but Wordpress should consider security a critical case.

### "Almost Perfect"

September 13, 2020

4.0

We launched our business website using a WordPress compatible theme on the WordPress.com hosting service. Overall it has been a really seamless process--from implementation to improvements to maintenance. Implementing the WordPress Business account was easy and keeping the site up to date and functional is simple as well since many plug-ins are fully WP compatible.

Pros

The WordPress CMS was selected by of its dominance of the market and because one of the themes we were considering was WordPress compatible. The pros of using WordPress are its Happiness Engineers who have helped us numerous times, the layout of the content management system (CMS), the offline community of WordPress-based content developers, and the thousands of WordPress compatible themes.

Cons

By far the biggest drawback has been the lack of a staging site since we use WordPress.com as our website host.

Reason for choosing WordPress

The WordPress CMS was the only choice because the selected site design theme we selected was WordPress compatible. We chose the WordPress hosting service because of the benefits it promoted at the time--an initially free G Suite account, easy monetization, cost-friendly, its Happiness Engineers, and more.
